any pvp or wvw reward track gives oodles of tomes. pop in once a day to do a couple dailies in each, progress your track with pots, boom. easy tomes. i have 300+ tomes and 11 level 80 characters and im gonna start throwing tomes away because its annoying. only been playing for a year, too

they are literally releasing new endgame content in a couple hours. hello, living story season 3?

I have always easily made my money back. getting expensive dyes, BL weapons skins, minis, etc, i have yet to buy keys and NOT come out ahead. totally worth it.

I loved the precursor journeys. they were interesting, they forced you to explore places out of your way and find easter eggs everywhere. they were fun. they were creative. this new system of just “buy kitten” is cheap and insulting. i would really rather wait a year and get epic legendary adventures than this kitten where its just a gold sink.

I can’t leave Stronghold. When I try to exit the match, it just loads Stronghold again.

On the other hand, I can spawn all the Archers I want to keep Tybalt and me company.

I hope you mean Bifrost for staff because nevermore seems more of a serious type legendary which’s lore is deeply embedded in Norn culture.

the point of this topic is that you CANT transmute them because you cannot change anything on outfits

not to mention that what the kitten are you going to transmute them into? every other shoulder is the size of a barge, too! and when they arent, they are little dinky things that are basically a square of leather 4 inches across that lays across your characters bicep. WHOOPDEEFREAKINGDOO.

and dont even get me started on the poor charr, with their barge-sized magically-floating gravity-defying shoulders that hover a foot above their actual…. shoulder.

i hate all three of you. if it was a black lion set that was fun and silly, i would stand behind that and probably get all of them, like i did the Improvised set that was hilarious. but not as a LEGENDARY. way to cheapen it.

In deciding whether to upgrade a free account or start a new one: I can’t think of any major advantage to doing so. Unless you plan on having two ‘main’ accounts, you’re going to play your original as much as possible and spend as little time on the alt as suits your purposes. Starting a third account increases how much time you need to devote to the alt(s).

It’s a trickier question for those who have a core account. The same reasoning above applies, but the advantages of the third account are much more substantial now: five new character slots (instead of just three), a third bank, a third account that can send/receive gold & operate the TP. The advantages of upgrading are reduced, since your original alt already has access to all of core Tyria, login rewards, and dailies.

this is the single stupidest kitten i have ever seen, since moot and dreamer, and at least those were inanimate objects/silly animal not even in the game. you gonna make a legendary for every NPC species that nobody gives a kitten about? does the shield say COO every 5 seconds?

Are there any guides/videos for doing the JP and getting the Golden Lost Badges inside the JP at the same time? as I do the JP i see like 10 of them along the way, but Im not familiar enough to deviate from the JP guide to try to get them

I usually never check the cash shop for outfits because I have my thief armor set put together and I use it from now to forever. But then I saw it and fell in love with it immediately.

Not sure why exactly. I can not dye it (oh god, the awesomeness would peak if it would be dyable), it works great as thief (and even better as Necromancer) for immersion reasons and remembers me of Final Fantasy type of design. The boots, the collar, the grasping hands, the visual effect. I think it’s worth the price!

This is exactly the stuff that can not be found by the competitors.

It just causes some funny doubler effects when in front of already distorted visuals. As Asura, we have many glass-like barriers (“windows”) in and around Rata Sum and they apparently share the same effect. So walking past such window will cause the “smoke” of the head to be me even more distored and moved a bit further away. I also like the hands just appear when standing still and the boots cover my toes.

10/10, I am very pleased. Not quite my colour sheme (usually shadow abyss and black (grey) with a hint of red), but it works very well on (my) Asura.

I am unable to log into my account to even change the settings to high.
outfit iss tuck on my guardian which was the last toon I used, hence the moment I log in and it tries to preview her, game crashes, and a lot of text disappears in the options panel. Please help D;

dont log in to her. unless you mean the character line-up crashes

Unfortunately, our internal tests are showing that it is most likely tied to the helm. So it is possible that you may be crashing other people’s clients that see you while they have low animation settings. None of this is official yet since we’re still investigating but since you asked…

Right, my point was that “We have temporarily disabled the ability to purchase or use the Ghostly Outfit. We will re-enable the outfit as soon as possible.” I shouldnt even be able to WEAR my outfit. Its supposed to be temporarily disabled. And its not. So just letting you know that whatever was supposed to disable my outfit isnt working

Gaile, while you guys are fixing the crashes, can you please fix the Charr tails for this outfit? theyre very unorganic in the way they move, with stick straight sections and sharp bends that no real living limb actually does. also, the female charrs get male tails. gross!

It still hasn’t appeared in the API, so no one’s obtained it in game either. Here are some possibilities:

• There will be more stuff in the gem shop Friday (weekend prior to RL Halloween)
• It’s a mystic forge recipe that no one has discovered.
• There’s an in-game “quest” that no one has discovered.
• It appears as an item because an NPC uses it as a ‘mini’ (and none of us have noticed).
• ANet had completed enough work on it to include it in the test patch…and it got approved for release, but pulled at the last minute for [reasons], thus it would appear in the .DAT file, but not in game.
• ANet is trolling us, to see what weird things we do when we see something we like in the .DAT file.

Asura and their voice actors are awesome! I play a female asuran mesmer and it’s so fun. Sometimes she says: “You’re dumb. You’ll die, and you’ll leave a dumb corpse!” It’s so mean, but fits the arrogance and hubris of an asura.

I hate the mini games, but there are a few that are easy enough that you can, even if you are a terrible player like me, get enough points to max. its not hard. go read a guide, pick the easiest ones, done. dont assume theyre all frustrating and throw out the whole thing without trying.

the zones are behind a prequel. you dont have to do the entire thing to access t hem. you have to basically do 1 minute of dialogue and then poof youre there. why is this even a topic?

So I was dinking around with my necro and using a friends viper horror build, but then I got lazy and left my traits how they were, and gear vipers, and pulled out all my minions. clearly im now not specced for either thing. I cant find any scepter/dagger Viper style minion builds online. i dont know enough about traits to come up with one myself and expect it to be good. can anyone help me out here?

there is no single class that can use 20 weapon types so thats a waste of space. just keep 2 or 3 you use the most.

You get a blue backpack. What if you want a blue spectral backpack, AND a blue spectral glider to go with your Blue Spectral weapons?

I have a character with green/acid clothes with bits of black layers here and there and plasma weapons, my moth wings are green yet the backpack is stuck on red…to much to ask for?!

yes. it is. theyve already stated they dont have a way to make backpacks have dye channels, not without ripping the code apart and reworking them as armor instead of trinkets. not gonna happen, and its a known thing so dont buy a combo pack expecting youre going to be able to customize both.
