They got my money (pre-purchase) and now they are going back on their word (manifesto).

Anet has become the typical money hungry video game company, they used to actually care. They were one of the last video game companies I trusted, RIP.

Why are people even crying over this issue? Full Exotic gear still makes you MORE than capable of doing 99% of the content in the game (besides the end of this new dungeon). The people crying right now have no idea if they will be easy to get and I’m willing to bet there will be a “chance” to get ascended gear in every dungeon chest now which will go with what Anet said on fixing dungeon rewards. I’m happily looking forward to it now. (time to actually kill Khoeler in AC)

We aren’t upset about having to get one more set of gear. We are upset about what this represents (if true) and that’s having to get a new set every few months (grind).

This game was advertised to not be a grind and it is slowly turning into one.

If anyone wants to play a “grindy” game, they have many to choose from. Anet sold THIS game as something for the rest of us that don’t want to play those other games.

Didn’t Anet specifically say there wouldn’t be a gear grind. That once we had the best we would only grind for appearance?

So, now that I have most of my exotics I have to start over?

I’m on a full server, however it feels like everyone is hanging out in LA looking for a dungeon group all the time (just like every typical MMO).

No matter when they have an event, someone is going to miss it.

When has anyone missed a one-time reward? So far as I know there hasn’t been any and I’m sure Anet isn’t going to make any.

Why does it matter what a person plays? As long as they are polite and capable of learning, I will play with them.

Because it’s a concept.

They have said multiple times they can’t replace items, but I wish you luck.

They are just dumb people. I put them on ignore, because those players are the type I don’t want to play with anyways.

In a sense, they are doing me a favor by telling me who they are. I just hope my ignore list doesn’t have a limit.

Once you’ve done it once, it’s super easy.

I did it on my Asura finally (only on an Asura) because I kept entering and leaving the clock tower until I got a group without Charr or Norn.

What isn’t a problem for you, is a very real problem for others.

Griefing during this event was pretty annoying but it’s still doable. I’d suggest just finding a new instance. When I was doing my run there was a group of two trolls doing what they do best, during the first jump at the beginning after you pause for a moment, they would spam walls of text (as large charrs). I blocked them and found a new instance, and continued on until I got it

Same thing happened to me, but it was a single Charr. Further proof this event should have an instance for each player (like GW1).

I think they are trying to tell you something.

A level 12 on Tarnished Coast did it. I don’t think level makes a difference though.

Got in with a group, killed about 20 mobs, and nothing else. The Mad King just stands there laughing. Dungeon will not reset upon leaving/re-forming group.

Endgame may start at level one in this game, but if you want to enjoy the holiday events to the fullest, you need to level.
I’m sure I read that somewhere in tiny print on the game box.

Number one is all they really need to do.

GW2 didn’t need an event that was designed for ~5% of players to succeed at. It goes against the whole philosophy of the game.

I played the Labyrinth and as you say, I exploited; I got one level 76 exotic that I could not use, so I traded it for one I could.

How am I rich?

Since the “nerf” I have not received anything but a few greens and ToT bags. So let’s see, basically in ~24 hrs I got an exotic (That will soon be replaced).
Obviously that is too much to ask from a once a year event.

All Anet cares about now is money, they used to actually care about their customers more.

Anet has gone the way of Blizzard, a company Anet’s founders left because of this same bullkitten.

I don’t understand why we have to wait and why we have to watch the intro over and over.

Not really a lesson, but I lost all faith in Anet. Which is sad because they were one of the few remaining game company’s that I trust.

They need to just remove the puzzle. All it has accomplished is causing a major fight among the community.

Good news! The whole game is skippable. Talk about missing the point.

Yes, I love how they advertised the game as “endgame starts at level one”, basically levels aren’t too important, then a holiday comes out and they screw low level players.

We QQ because they should get it right the first time. How many times have they done this now? A lot!

Anet loves nerfing things, why can’t they get it right the first time. I think they do it to torture us.
