Come to think though, besides death and shadow related powers, fire is also often used as one of the powers villains command. Avatar: The Last Airbender comes to mind. It must have something to do with the depiction of Hell as fiery place. Afterall the other elements can be exactly as destrucive as fire, so that alone can’t be the reason.
I think it’s more to do with fire being an innately destructive force. Water, air, earth etc. can all exist in peaceful states while fire will always be destroying and consuming by it’s very nature.
I’d also like to see legendary dyes be introduced to crafting professions
What exactly would make a dye legendary?
I’ve had this issue as well.
Basically you cannot move during the Mind Stab animation, and because of lag it can sometimes take the game awhile to realise that you aren’t casting it anymore.
The one point where I remain upset about Trahearne is where he performs the ritual at the Cathedral of Radiance to allow players the death ritual of the Lyss priesthood and him telling the players all about it and human religion. Having a sylvari be the expert of all things Orr felt like a giant slap in the face for my human characters.
I don’t see how it’s a slap in the face. Traeharne is an expert on Orr because he’s been studying it for 25 years.
Warriors already have just about every non-magical weapon in the game already. So it’s basically either pistol or torch.
Signets are basically artifacts that store spells for use by people without magical training. So any class that uses signets uses magic in some form.
Also I seem to remember something about warriors using magic passively to increase their strength and durability etc. Or maybe that’s just my brain making stuff up again. It does that sometimes.
They died so that Trahearne can have a red carpet entrance.
Most of my character’s names are just ones I recycled from WoW and added a last name. A few of them have a bit of thought behind them though.
First off, my engineer, Kerid Craterclaw. Kerid originally came from WoW’s random name generator. When I googled it (you would not believe some of the stuff I’ve found checking randomised names) I found out it was the name of a volcanic crater in Iceland. I found this amusing for a mage so I kept it. When I made the Guild Wars Kerid I decided to add a last name. I’d been playing MTG at the time and had recently gotten Crater’s Claws. So I fused Kerid Crater and Crater’s Claws into Kerid Craterclaw.
The second one is my Guardian, Ferrus Jawbreaker. Since my screen name often gets shortened to Fj I decided to create a character with those initials. Ferrus comes from ferrous which means containing iron which seemed to fit for an Iron Legion Charr. I struggled with a J name until I remembered a line from the sorcerous shaman story path “I’ve broken several jaws reminding people I am not responsible for my father’s actions.”. Jawbreaker seemed to fit well so Ferrus Jawbreaker it was.
Are you using Illusionary Inspiration? The signet cast has been messing with my weapon swap. Haven’t tested it with other spells yet but it might be responsible for the second Phantasm not casting.
I’m still hoping that we’ll get MH pistol baseline instead of as part of an elite spec.
Incidentally, the men in white coats should be coming for me any day now.
I prefer the unicorn to the creepy guy on the glamours page.
I think it’s to stop it from being a light field. It’s the only reason I can think of.
It is NOT a back item skin. It is a glider skin, since gliders haven’t been added yet there is nothing to add the skin to.
If A-Net wanted to instantly reverse all this negative perception, they could simply say….
“We really value our loyal veteran players. As an extra bonus, all current GW2 players who pre-purchase any of the Heart of Thorns packages before [insert date here] will get an additional character slot for free.”
End of controversy, and watch the wallets come flying out!
No it won’t. People would start complaining that they don’t want the character slot and demand gems instead.
Some people just want to complain. You can’t stop them, all you can do is ignore them.
It’s been unlocked for your account, once HoT goes live you should be able to access it. Besides, even if you could access it from the interface you can’t actually use it yet anyway.
I think I’m paying for something I already own. Thanks but no thanks.
Countless
Just because you think it doesn’t make it true.
A day – maybe two – of you watching/hearing people play/talk about the expansion and you will fold faster than something that folds really fast.
I’ve always been partial to “Superman on laundry day”.
Maybe someone told him about it when he got back.
It only works while flamethrower is active. It’s just missing from the description.
“Do you have a plan to get us out of here?”
“Sort of, it starts with run for it and goes downhill from there.”
Not sure if they have social stigma against dying of old age like the Spartans supposedly had.
That seems kind of unfair. What if you’re just really good and no-one is able to kill you?
I doubt it will be Sentinel, there are already sentinels in the game. They are a group of Charr trying to keep the Dragonbrand contained. It won’t be Lightbringer either as that is already a rank in the Order of Whipers.
What if horses are a mythical creature in Tyria? Kind of like how centaurs are for us.
