Please dont put this map in the ranked rotation. Right now there’s plenty of people who vote for the map but then, if the selected map isnt capricorn, they simply disconnect or go afk. I dont want THAT to be happening in a rated match in ranked during season.
If you want to implement the map in the ranked rotation, do it after S4 ends, so that everyone will have gotten their achievements and wont ragequit if it doesnt get selected.
the elite specs got so much sustain/damage/cc/condi on them that it feels like a cluster—— of skills and that there is no more strategy involved in actually playing pvp.
So much this. Elite specializations, right now, do too many things at once. Just take a look at reaper death shroud: #3 is stab AND fear, #4 puts high condition pressure AND deals high damage AND is a whirl, #5 deals high damage AND is a stun AND is a chillfield.
This is true for basically all elite specialization, even the ones out of the meta (and they are outside cause they are either too clunky – WH ele, GS necro – or not filling the right role – warrior shield preferred to torch cause of its defensive nature, for instance).

Wouldnt it be cool if we had a key designed specifically to lose the target we have selected? This would be insanely useful, since the key currently used to do that (Lock autotarget) is not really meant to do that and on top of that it buggs out from time to time, which is kind of frustrating.
Would it take too much to design such a key?
We changed stability so that it can only be removed every 0.75 seconds and added an effect that plays when it is removed.

Despite the clearly sarcastic tone, I guess that this is the truth. Right now every meta build has everything, dodges, invuln, stab, cc, damage reduction modifiers.. too much going on, too much power creep.
Nerf everything down to warrior level.
Just make it require LoS and everything will be fine.
While we’ll be using divisions to match you against your immediate opponents, we’ll still use your MMR to place you on teams with similarly skilled players (from your division point range) to help ensure that you’re not forced to play with individuals that are of a much higher or lower skill than you.
I guess I’m God-level then, since I went from amber to sapphire in ~3h winning all matches but one.
TBH I really don’t think MMR has the correct weight into determing opponents, because in the 25 games I’ve played 24 of them felt like hotjoin.
The reduction of queue times was only partially related to quality at best. There were some configurations that were adding extra queue times for zero benefit.
7 out of 10 matches I’ve played the last two days were onesided matches, either victories or defeats.
If the match quality was not altered by the reduction of queue times then unranked itself is the problem.

HoT Elite Specs: After the initial buying pulse, the elite specs were nerfed so hard that in some cases the core classes are actually better.

How is the chance of gaining/losing pips calculated?
Are classes weighted somehow? Is legendary x1 the same of legendary x3? Is time played a factor, or is it only points scored? Is a 500-100 lost match that took 15m the same of a 500-100 loss that took 5m?

That would not really be a solution. The problem of the new Energy sigil is that it grants a boon, not a flat out amount of energy, and thus it can be corrupted OR granted by someone else (effectively rendering useless the new application of vigor).
I’d be ok if it granted an effect like “Feline Grace”, something like “after the first dodge you make after swapping to the weapon which has this sigil you recover part of the endurance spent (15)”.

+560 ferocityThis will be highly desirable for rangers, mesmers, warriors, and necromancers who wish to play a power build. Currently thees classes can pick berzerker (an go full glass) or marauder to get some defence. The stat combination i proposed would be a competitor to the marauder amulet since the above mention classes have medium and high hp pools and getting more hp is somewhat redundant (not on all builds but still), but they all would greatly benefit from some added armor.

The sigil of Energy nerf is extreme, to say the least: Sigil of Energy currently grants 50 endurance which is 50% of the total endurance.
Vigor is a 50% buff to endurance regeneration, which happens to be at 5% per second. This means that having vigor is equal to a 2.5% extra endurance gain, since 5% * 1.5 = 7.5%, and 7.5% – 5% = 2.5%.
The new Sigil of Energy grants 7s of Vigor, which means that the new energy gain is 2.5% * 7 = 17.5%, which is 17.5 endurance.
Current sigil of Energy awards 50 endurance instantly
Post-nerf sigil of Energy awards 17.5 endurance in 7 seconds.
Please, just nerf the endurance amount from 50 to 25 and call it a day. The new Sigil of Energy is extremely underperfoming with respect to the current Sigil of Energy.

Another questions: what if the 4v5 is because one of the team members is actively trolling us and losing on purpose (and also admitted it on team chat)?
I’ve reported this behaviour using “botting” but if such a guy made it to legendary without being banned then it’s clearly not working.
yesterday happened something alike…
1 rage quit an the other ones stayed at their base. They got 46 pts…
long time ago I lost 2 pips but it was a 5v5. We tried (hard) until the end but we got only 47 pts…
that pattern implied to me that if your team didn’t get enough point you will lose and aditional pip regadless the situation
PD: I am not sure about the pips’ mechanic works.
Just lost a 4v5, 500-405. And ofc I lost 1 pip.

Please add better rewards to wvw so people are willing to try it out. As it is right now, the rewards are crap in comparison to pve or pvp. There is no reason to wvw if you are a person trying to get rewarded for your time spent in game.
I remember an Anet Dev saying that WvW is actually more rewarding than we think.. I’d like to know what he meant.
Hello everybody. After the September 29 balance patch the Inventions grandmaster trait “Medical Dispersion Field” has been reworked:
- Medical Dispersion Field: Reworked this trait. The internal cooldown has been removed. This trait is now only triggered by your own healing, and the percentage has been increased from 12% to 20%.
What does trigger this trait? Every heal you take? Not really. Despite the fact that Vampiric Aura and Leeching Sigil count as “own healing”, basic stuffs like Cleansing Burst and Regeneration do not.
Therefore when i use HT with MDF THIS is what happens:
1) I heal my ally for 560 HP which are the 20% of “Healing Turret” (2800 heal)
2) I heal myself and my ally for 2925 HP —-> this is what should be triggering MDF but it does not
3) I heal myself for 130 using Regeneration —-> this should heal my ally as well but it does not
4) I heal my ally for 296 HP, which are 20% of waterfield blast (1482)
5) I heal both myself and my ally for 1482 + regen etc.
Some guys really have obsession about some people…

It’s such a terrible idea. And an obviously bad one. Yet, they did it anyway.
why? Every successful matchmaking pushes you to 50% winrate. Not being like that means having unbalanced matches.
You should complain about the quality of the matches. Having a 50% winrate by playing always with equally skilled players is one thing, having 50% winrate cause you play 1 match against hotjoin heroes and 1 match against ESL premade is another.
Happened to me as well.
I don’t even want to get to legendary, I want to be demoted to sapphire.
Since I joined Ruby division I’ve witnessed the worst plays SPVP has ever offered to me.
I get matched with people triple-stomping instead of cleaving, condi necros running GS (thank god he wasn’t on my team), people winning all teamfights and yet losing the game ‘cause they can’t even grasp the very basics of the concept of “rotations”.
I want quality SPVP matches, that’s the only reason I want to get into diamond but now it’s just.. meh.
EDIT: I never thought Leagues were about skill. Anyone who thought that forgot the whole leaderboard fiasco that was a grind fest. Leagues is about grinding all the way up to where you can lose tiers. Skill only comes into play at Diamond and legendary.
You can lose tiers in Ruby. So I guess all those “Can’t make to diamond as soloqueuer” topics makes sense to you now?
D/F is much better than staff if you soloqueue. Staff is much better than D/F if you teamqueue OR if you have decent teammates, simply because it opens up many more opportunities, team-wise speaking (just think of waterfields).

Is the trait Fire’s embrace bugged? It currently says that it grants a Fire Aura when attuning to Fire, although it procs erratically, like if it had an ICD. Sometimes I attune to fire and yet I dont gain the fire aura (ofc while being in combat).
Probably the tooltip is missing the ICD.
I like all the changes. There HAVE to be more changes to the borderlands though, namely:
- The PvE content affecting fights needs to go away (crippling cubes, knockbacks)
- The Oasis event needs to be fixed: it currently makes the whole map lags. Servers actually cooperate with each others to get the event done as quickly as possible, no matter which server does it first.
- Barricades are still more harmful for roamers than for zergs: the amount of time taken by a zerg to breach the barricade is 10s, while a roamer takes 2-3m.
Balance wise:
Revenants are literally gods walking amongst mere mortals: they can currently fit every single role, from being a member in a melee train, to FP to ele party.
- Coalescense of Ruin needs to be nerfed: the modifier is simply to high, and the 5 targets limit change is a fix, not a balance change. The absurdely low CD, huge range, huge DPS and horribly hight modifier thanks to the trait (+50% damage) are some of the things that need to be looked at.
- Rite of the Great Dwarf combined with protection and the dwarf stance makes the damage reduction modifier so high that wells crit for 100 damage, and yes, I did not forget one zero, it’s 100 (one hundred).
Guilds now have a limit to how many revenants can be used in a GvG. If this is not an indicator of how broken it is, I don’t know what would be.

Pretty much title. I soloqueue, I get matched against a 4 men premade, we lose at the timer 406 to 434 (yeah, awesome match.. hail the meta) and I lose 1 pip. How is this even possible??
