About the staff:
I play a guardian. A guardian can switch weapons. In one slot I have GS. In the other slot, I use another weapon. Sometimes that other weapon is a staff.

About the play:
I play with my guildies. I currently play 6 dungeons a day. I want to play 8-9 dungeons a day in two hours. If I gain 1 minute in each dungeon, that is 8-9 minutes gained in a day. And then, shocking: I don’t care about those 10 minutes lost.

Meh. The duration of these stacks is really low, and only good to use right before you start a fight. You’re doing terrible dps with staff autoattacks and no dps while using Empower during a fight rather than right before. You should never camp the staff. If you’re in a group that has a low amount of might stacking, you’ll be better off using Hammer, fire field and blasting these. You’ll have better dps on yourself and give off might stacks that can last for 20 seconds on a zero boon duration build, or 30 seconds on a boon duration build. While it’s not the optimal dps for the guardian himself it’s the optimal way to both give might stack to a group that doesn’t always hold 25 stacks, while keeping decent damage (blast finisher is worse dps than sticking to auto symbol chain but it sure as hell beats “no dps” from using staff empower and “little dps” from staff auto.).

But again, I’m NOT trying to optimize my own play. I’m trying to get a precursor. So gaining (or losing) 1 minute isn’t life-changing for me.

For the golem with the five turrets, try getting a mesmer to make a portal and teleport forward so that the turrets arent activated, then have them run back to where you would have came from to “activate” the fight just before it dies so the whole thing doesn’t glitch out.

Literally the entire dungeon is a DPS check, so just get everyone in full zerker gear spamming hundred blades or whatever the burst attacks of your classes are and hugging the bosses (throw alpha at a wall and cling to him, if you’re the only guard i’ve found having retreat and that ability with the fire field that removes conditions on allies along with hold the line are nice abilities to use).

Worfox, as Bright says, don’t link the best times for each dungeon: I play with good players but we aren’t expert in each of those paths and don’t want to be.

Also, you link wrong times. For instance, CoF never takes 6 minutes for anybody: all speedrunners have a rule (count from the time the first doors opens), you base your time on that rule. It’s not acceptable for normal dungeon runners. We cannot and won’t perma stack might on us and vulnerability on the mobs. My intention is never to kill the CoF boss in kitten like most people do. So be realistic for the top 33% of the gamers, not the top 1%.

It doesn’t beat gw2legendary.com so I removed it.

So my suggestion? Make it at least as good as gw2legendary.com and I’ll reinstall it. This means:
- Add individual requirements and their progress. For instance, if I have 75 Mystic Clovers, I still have 0%. Checking a checkbox would fill the subrequirements as it does now, but unchecking it would return to the previous value, not reset it to zero. typing that we have the 77 Mystic Clovers would automatically check the box.
- Add ways of acquiring the various items when we press on them. Whether by showing the various ways of acquiring it or by linking to the official wiki.
- Optional: evaluate the total cost of the legendary and the rest of the resources needed to get it. (yeah, optional if you want to keep your application offline.)
- Language: please add DE, ES & FR as these are the supported languages of the game.

We’re shifting to a more WvW-focused guild but our PvE base is still big.

CoE p1, I keep saying let’s go for 1-4, but in the end the result is more like 1-1-1-2. I already solo the spawns with my staff guardian and my stability skills, and I succeed 75% of the time.
CoE p2, I know the rifle-section is the hardest one, however I’m not as trained to it as I’m for other parts and mostly I’m the weakest link here as I don’t know how to operate the small golems. Also, I keep reading that people so dodge on Alpha, however my own experience says the contrary: stay even closer to him and more stacked than for p1.
CoE p3, we’re afraid of it and don’t run it anymore. I’m gonna try and give a few more shots in pugs then convince my guildies if that goes well.

Thanks for answering! It’s nice to see that paths for which I had an awful experience while running for “Dungeon Master” can actually be run fast, like CM or HotW.

CoE p1, I never ran it under 30m (the golem room is a big problem for almost all my guildies)
CoE p2 is the fastest CoE for me, but it’s still 25-30m
CoE p3, I never succeeded it since the range of the destroyer was increased.

Rules: (yes, first, because if I put them after, you won’t read them)

• Don’t deviate in a CoF fastest runs. I’m looking for answers, not a debate.
• Skipping is ok, exploiting is not.
• I don’t want to repeat the same path again and again

I’m looking for paths that take less than 20 minutes to complete with a good team, above average dps, but not especially full zerker, and most importantly without any exploit. Also I said “good team”, not “expert team”.

I’m looking to maximize the dungeon tokens as well as skill points, karma, so I don’t want to repeat. This way I could dungeons for 2 hours and still get another 2 hours of WvW.

So far, I know those paths meet the requirements:

• CoF paths 1 and 2
• AC paths 1 and 3
• SE paths 1 and 3

I’m running TA paths up and fw/fw too, but I feel it’s too frequent it takes 20 minutes or more to complete. So, is there any other path that is actually rewarding?

Well, actually, atm I’m getting ectos by 2 or 3 with a ratio of 1.3 to 1.4. So I seem to have taken your luck. I’ll give it back to you when I’m done.

Running with a perfect team does not take skill. It just takes knowing when to do X. Running with a imperfect team of strangers takes far more.

One necro, a thief, an elementalist, a ranger, and an engineer run Fractal of the Mist level 48.

They are running their highest DPS/best utility builds. Each player plays perfectly.

Another group runs 1 Guard, 3 war, 1 mesmer. The warriors are all half-assing it and not bothering to weaponswap to axe/mace to stack vulnerability. The mesmer is in PVT gear because they are bad. The Guardian doesn’t bother to hit Aegis when it would help most.

Which group does better? You have to be high out of your mind to think its the first group.

A guildie did it last week. The item is “transmuted”.

Actually, you can transfer the skin, yes. Put it on a white item, give the white (now account-bound) item to your other char and from there put the skin of the white item on an exotic weapon.

In the end, the weapon will not be “legendary” anymore, but “transmuted”, but this happens also if you simply transmute the legendary with any other exotic weapon to have the stats you want instead of “Soldier’s”.

Wouldn’t really make much sense though. Especially since people in WvW don’t really benefit that much from it, while people that run and farm dungeons would benefit the most, even if they have never even entered WvW.

Make that on kills only and wvw players will get as much as pve players.

When you click on a forum a topic that has 49, 99, 149, … answers, it shows a blank page. If you look at the URL, it tries to get to the next page where there is no need yet.

Craft Mystic Clovers. Around 2/3 of your tries will reward you with sellable things (including lodestones, T6 mats, and of course ingredients for new Mystic Clovers too).

Then ok, you’ll be clogging Mystic Clovers, agreed, but hey, that’s only 1/3 of Obsidian Shards.

We would like to have a system that rewards servers at the end of a matchup based on their performance and are working out all we’ll need to do to make that happen. Ideally it will give extra rewards for winning while still rewarding everyone for participating. All that being said, it’s hard to know what form the final version will take. Hopefully we’ll have something to get everyone excited to fight for victory.

To be honest, achievement points are a pretty bad way to judge player skill. I’ve seen players with less than 1000 play like pros, and people with 5K+ play as if it’s their first time playing the game.

I didn’t say people with less achi points are less skilled. I said they think they are newer to the game and started when experimented group players stopped explaining. So they know less about “playing together” the way some people expect.

Nobody that is experimented runs AC outside of guild or predefined groups. The guys that come to AC now are the guys that started GW2 recently (I very rarely see someone with 2k achi in AC anymore) and they just hit level 80. They want to get into dungeons because they lost huge amount of time trying to do it at level 35 and at that time they received answers like “no, you’re not level 80”. So instead of having level 35 unexperimented guys with whom nobody plays, they are now level 80. They think they have worked hard to get there so they think that they know better than having to listen to you. And there you are with people more stubborn than before that listen less.

My group for fractals high level (38 and 40+) is the following:

- 1 playing thief
- 1 playing ranger
- 1 playing guardian
- 1 playing guardian or mesmer
- 1 free slot (but was 1 playing thief or guardian, now we take anyone who wants, no matter the profession)

Wait… What? Both a ranger and a thief? And maybe a second thief? Yes! And we love it, and we are good at it so what?

We are not trying to minimize the playing time, but we can do all fractals in a timely manner and without unnecessary deaths (this means one or two on the dredge one, and that’s about it).

I did all three paths with a group full of characters with level lower than 50 after all the three paths, no elementalist in the group.

I don’t see the problem.

Path 1, it’s not a speed contest: the ideal situation is 2 elementalists, then they can solo the burrows. If you don’t have 2 elementalists, have one guy aggro the gravelings of the North burrow to the east. The rest should destroy the burrows of the first chain and clean the gravelings that spawn once a burrow is over. When 3 burrows are destroyed, clean all the remaining gravelings until new ones spawn from the first burrow of the 2nd chain. Then go ahead and destroy the burrows and don’t forget to clean after each. (Cleaning means 2 people stay to kill the gravelings while the rest go to the next burrow.)

Path 2: have all the three collectors filled before starting. First collector, 5 guys dps the boss. Second collector, 5 guys dps the boss. Third collector, 3 guys dps the boss, 2 guys fill the first collector. Again, not a speed contest. Just take the time and don’t rush.

Path 3: I don’t even see the difficulty in this path.

Remove the titles exclusive to GW1 (not everybody plays this), PvP (too few people play this) and WvW (the requirements are huuuuge), you have 9 title possible. Add to that the 9 titles specific to events (Halloween, Wintersday, Flame & Frost, Secret of Southsun, Super Adventure Box).

So as of today, that’s 18 titles that are really available to a large public. I’m not saying it’s huge or low: I’m only stating the number.

I’m not looking for a solution for my case, but rather for a general case where 1 or 2 stay behind.

So we played in guild yesterday and we got the Proxemics Lab as guild puzzle.

Everything went fine until the hall with the timed platforms. We were 35 running in there, of which 5-6 mesmers, including me.

Everybody passes through the door, except 6 of us. 1 is downstairs, 4 are on the platforms to open the door and then there’s me. I portal the guy downstairs and I see that the 4 others have passed through the gate. They didn’t see that there was a guy downstairs and that I portalled down. The portalled guy hurries and get through the gate, but me? I can’t: not fast enough.

So there were 34 guys on the other side of the gate and no way to open it from there to save the left ones? So what we did as guild was hurry to finish it, then restart it from scratch only for me, in the same instance. Only it wasn’t enough to rush it.

Were I egotistic I’d have stayed on my main and not played with a mesmer. I’d have the reward, but not the guy that fell.

So I don’t know what goal you try to achieve there, but the collaboration of a complete guild to try to get one of its member back with the group isn’t included?

In the extreme, I would say that a minimal amount of people could support the whole guild and that would be bad, but here 34 guys trying to help 1 out isn’t the same scenario at all. And this scenario should be encouraged as it is heartwarming!

We’ll probably try another guild puzzle for me today or tomorrow (we have the influence to rush build it), so the problem isn’t there.

Are you doing always the same 7 puzzles? The monthly wants 12 different puzzles accross the 43 or 44 JP in the game.

What you mention is the price that people put on the precursors, not the estimated value by ArenaNet (and therefore the drop rate).

You can then argue that people base the price on the perceived drop rate. But then again, you don’t know the people that play the market to fix the precursor price and they really probably make a solid margin on an average based on the price of getting exos out of the Mystic Forge.

On a side note, ArenaNet indirectly (or maybe directly, I don’t know for the latter) said several times that the current precursor prices are way too much, meaning that the current price based off actual drop rate is way too high.

I get all my charged from fractals. I get mostly cores.

I run some CoE, but don’t get much. Maybe 1 or 2 cores per 3 runs. A friend got 2 cores and 1 ls in one path. So yeah, it’s random.

I did farm Dwayna, but after only 1 ls in 10h of farming (over two weeks) I gave up.

Also, in total, I got 3 charged lodestones from WvW since they revamped the loot.

I know, that’s my point. It’s been completely disabled in the whole game for an exploit in a small place.

That’s a problem.

The temporary solution for the arena is messing builds using the Mango pie food.

Fort Ranik, please train your guys… It took 12 of your guys to kill 4 of us and in the process 7 of yours died, none upleveled.

Yeah, you think in terms of a all-in or all-out guild. Or you think that people want to play in only one guild. I wasn’t sure but now I am. Try thinking that some guilds want to allow people going in other guilds or that people want to join several guilds for their various gameplays for a starter.

For example, I’m in 4 guilds and want to join another 5th:
- I have my usual guild for PvE and WvW
- I have my real life friends guild
- I have my RP guild
- I have my own guild for my own storage or my own wvw buffs
- I want to join the JP guild to portal people at the end of JPs

If I don’t represent one of them in a too big lapse of time, sure kick me. But you don’t need to know that I’m representing another guild at any other time.

I fully understand the need of the guild leaders/officers and I think that the time of the last representation is more useful to you in that role than the last time anyone logged in. Because if I log in everyday but I represent another guild. Will you keep me? Based on the last login time, yes, but I bring nothing to your guild, so your slot is still wasted.

I don’t want you to have that info, that is private life matter. You may know the last time I represented your guild. Since it’s your guild you may have access to that piece of info. The last time I connected? No way: that’s my life.

Well, don’t worry. I’m not telling you didn’t do it: I wasn’t there so I cannot state anything about it I’m only saying that you will not see much over here in the forum because compared to the map chat, very few people outside of TEO, WBC and WAR will see it.

I would like to have the basic result where a temple is open.

Let’s take Balthazar as example. I’ve found these three events linked to it:

At the moment, if I look at event_details.json?event_id=2555EFCB-2927-4589-AB61-1957D9CC70C8 I have 37 results, all of which are “Success”. I can’t believe that Balthazar is currently open on 37 worlds, given that the current time in the US is between 4:50 AM and 7:50 AM.

So what am I doing wrong?
