Warriors have Elite skill named “Rampage” which makes them bigger and replaces their weapon skills with melee skills.

Target "Nearest Enemy" prioritizing Champions

FrostSpectre.4198

Last time I checked, “Nearest Enemy” targeting didn’t prioritize far away Champions over closest normal monsters.

Tried with Veteran monsters and doesn’t prioritize over closer normal monster.

Dunno about Elites.

Should there be target to be focused, it should be called target, by player itself when not in party, and vice versa.

Character Culling and AoE circle targeting

in Suggestions

Posted by: FrostSpectre.4198

FrostSpectre.4198

Suggestion 1: In PvE, culling settings should prioritize NPCs over other player characters.

Suggestion 2: With lowest settings on Character Model Limit and -quality, the low quality stock models could atleast use some of their correct animations, instead of “overhead strike” everything they interact or attack.

Character culling, since it was removed and made into graphics options, I’ve experienced a lot of invisible NPCs.

Although one way to see invisible NPCs would be to put NPC names visible at all times, but the powerful charging skills are also masked due to the NPC model not loaded at all. Another problem with putting the NPC names on is that they cover up player names.

Also the putting character quality settings to lowest results in low quality stock models that could atleast use correct animation, right now the models only use “overhead slash” when interacting or attacking.

This occurs sometimes when few NPCs in screen and no players other than my own character.
It’s more common on group events, tho luckily the Champ/Legendary monster loads, but the lesser NPCs wont load at all.

Suggestion 3: Make the “target info panel” on upper of HUD transparent to AoE targeting circles. Right now if mouse is over it when targeting, the AoE is cast at the player’s feet, opposed the idea that having mouse over “target info panel” should target the target’s feet. If it’s important for self target, then make the “target players position” by having the mouse over the Health orb.

Most annoying thing when trying to use AoE circles, if the camera angle is bad, the AoE cannot be cast at all, unless one turns the camera upwards, but if there’s some object in the way, the angle becomes even more awkward as the camera zooms up…

graphics bugs

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

FrostSpectre.4198

On character selection and in creation the “face images” have weirdly looking still images in selection…
In character selection, the still image has distorted eye lids, compared to actual model. Eyes are more open than what they should be

Unfortunately I don’t have picture of the character creation still images.

Hair which have “jigglebone” effect and are affected by physics, tend to act like this on stills in common “Talk” interaction with NPC. The hair acts like standing on surface that is angled…

Now graphics effects of some skills, I only took pictures of Lava Font as it’s the fastest recharging targeted AoE spell. The problem extends to other graphical effects of other skills.

Lava Font on purely horizontal flat ground, looks normal and all.

Now on angled ground…

On “wall” or object with flat surface but vertical, the effect has more weird angles depending on these horizontal surfaces, sometimes “upside-down”

Here’s Lava Font on angled surface
Another one on same spot
And another one

Lastly is ghostly effects on many ghost NPCs…
The effects are missing, tho also there in some places

There’s also the Asura character sometimes “losing their neck and head is attached to the torso without neck and lacking all animation on the head”. This tend to happen in cities.

Speed hacking botters running around...

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

FrostSpectre.4198

It’s very clear that number of bots have decreased, save for few who still dare to bot or have had their account hijacked. These few are same as usual run around the area farmers, easy to report and all.

What I have seen around, now, are Speed hacking bots, they “appear” near resource node or enemy to attack and then as quickly run away when they’re done…
Mostly seem to be resource node farming type appearing and disappearing.

Reporting them is near impossible due to quickly moving out of targetting range…

Well, nothing else to say about them.

Arachniphobic friendly game

I was afraid of any kind of monsters, I really hated monsters in games, even dark rooms were pretty hard for me to go into, they even made me see nightmares…

But AvP got me out of it, by playing as the monster I was afraid of…
It even marked the day when I completely stopped having nightmares, ever…

Afterwards I pretty much played any game that had monsters without being scared of playing it, tho I still feel abit nervous when dealing with zombies in FPS and Near FPS/TPS games.

On GW2 tho, zombies are not that threatening, as they’re more bound to thrall/servant mode than usual flesheating zombies, tho some of their skills point to flesheating, but it doesn’t scare me at all.

Nurvus makes a point tho.

And posters who suggest to get treatment also make good points…

It can be blunt, but to get help, admit that they have such fear and wish your friend good luck on over coming it.

Change the 25 bleed stack limit

in Suggestions

Posted by: FrostSpectre.4198

FrostSpectre.4198

I recall that bleeding DoT increases when might is applied, the pre-existing Bleed conditions have their damage boosted, since Might grands Power and Condition damage.

Then there comes other DoT conditions, Burning and Poison,
and Confusion which damage is boosted by condition damage.
Though none of these three (3) conditions stack for intensity, but duration instead.

Off-topic thought:
About Condition damage, I wonder: What if the condition damage value is used as direct damage source, when ever a condition is inflicted to the target, the value of condition damage is dealt to them, no matter if they already have maxed duration or intensity.

Would give more reason to keep inflicting conditions?
Dunno about propable balance issues, or perhaps only utilize x% of Condition Damage , like damage inflicting conditions do.

Party search function, but well hidden...

in Suggestions

FrostSpectre.4198

Some might know that there’s a party search in GW2, like in GW.

But “LFG” messages on chat doesn’t register players to the party search. It does in GW however.

Other problem is that “Looking for Group” is hidden in “Contacts” window, a tab on the right side of the window. There’s also “Followers” and “Blocked” tabs, looking for Blocked usually reveals the existence of “Looking for Group” tab.

As for now, the function is completely unused, maybe one (1) player trying it out.

Problem is primarily it being well hidden and “LFG” chat msgs not registering player to “Looking for Group”.

Warriors Adrenal Burst Skills, possibility to more variety?

in Suggestions

Posted by: FrostSpectre.4198

FrostSpectre.4198

After reading few topics about Warrior needs variety, in a topic which suggested making them similar to Eles, I made a suggestion there, but now decided to put it into a topic of it’s own.

Instead of just having 1 Burst Skill per weapon;

  • Increase the number to 2, 3 or even 4 Burst Skills total.

These additional Burst Skills will use same Adrenaline pool, not separate ones.
This kind of addition should add some variety to Adrenal Burst, instead of just switching weapons to use some Burst Skill for the effect

As far as I’ve thought about the idea,

  • 2-handed weapons for Warriors would have 2-3 Burst skills total.
  • 1-handed weapons would have 4 Burst skills total, including off-hand weapon
    These are more open ended.

The solid concept would be:

  1. 1-handed weapons have 2 Burst skills by default. Additional 2 are gained from off-hand weapon, bringing dual wield and weapon-shield combos to the highest possible, 4 total.
  2. 2-handed weapon have only 3 Burst skills.
  3. All those Burst skills share same Adrenaline pool.
  4. Burst skills would have their own recharge, not shared recharge, shared Adrenaline pool would limit over use, since Adrenaline must be replenished.
  5. Adrenaline retains the power levels, granting higher effect, the more adrenaline was accumulated and used.

Another possibility with this idea is that different adrenaline skills would use less adrenaline, instead of using all, but also have less powerful effect when compared to Burst skill that uses all of accumulated adrenaline levels.

But this brings forth balancing issues, that need to be solved.

Well, you can measure distance by the red underlines on skill icons on your skillbar, which indicates that you’re outside the skill’s range.
But they can be very hard to keep an eye on for some players.

Well, boss does reset, but only if complete wipe occurs.

The suggestion is good, but on open world PvE areas, it’s rather impossible, since players usually try to keep atleast few alive and attacking the boss, for others to respawn and return.

Pet Management window

in Suggestions

Posted by: FrostSpectre.4198

FrostSpectre.4198

There might already be a topic with similar idea regarding the Pet Management Window.

First thing about the use of words:

  • Active pet = Pet that is currently in use and at your side.
  • Pet Set Slot = There’s 4 slots, 2 for Terrestial/Amphibious and 2 for Amphibious/Aquatic on Pet Management window.
  • Swap recharge = Recharge that occurs when swapping or “calling” out the secondary pet, which is 20 seconds while out of combat. This was added to prevent pet skill exploit.

As of now, to review your collected pets abilities and stats, you have to:

  • Switch pet on active pet slot, since active pet’s stats and skills are only shown on Pet Management window.
  • Wait for the swap recharge to complete, until you can switch pets from any slot. This would happen if player wanted to review pet on secondary slot and not the active one.
  • Be on respective terrain to view your pets stats and skills on Terrestial/Amphibious- and Amphibious/Aquatic-set slots from Pet Management window.

And there comes few disadvantages:

  • Selecting pet on active slot can reset your pet name, unless it’s about amphibious pet, which can be on both pet set slots, which then retain their name othervise. (Like Drakes, Bears, Stalkers, Murmellows and so on…)
  • Selecting pet on reserve slot is dependant on you remembering the pets stats and skill sets, as you cannot see them until you swap your active pet.
  • You cannot review and switch all pet slots quickly, even if you wait for the swap recharge, since it’s impossible to review Terrestial/Amphibious and Amphibious/Aquatic pets at the same time, because you have to be on respective terrain to do so; Terrestial/Amphibious while on land, Amphibious/Aquatic while underwater.
  • Swapping active pet starts the swap recharge, which is 20 seconds while out of combat, during this time, player cannot change pet on any slot, nor change name of the currently active pet.

What I’m suggesting:

  • Allow players to view pet stats and skills on Pet Management window, by clicking on the pet slot icons. Switching pets then works same way it is now.
  • Also players are able to change their pet name from “Juvenile !animal name!” with less time consumed, since there’d be no need to swap pet or enter specific terrain type, and wait till the swap recharge to cooldown.

This idea is on base level, so it can be improved on, or is already improved on earlier topics regarding on Pet Management window.

Also some info on this topic might be outdated.

Fit Warrior more closely to the Warrior ethos/description

in Suggestions

Posted by: FrostSpectre.4198

FrostSpectre.4198

Idea sounds good, but it’s copying other professions already.
And some points I would make have already been pointed out.

Or possibly add another burst skill, so warriors have 2 burst skills to choose from.
2 handed weapons have 2 by default.
Or 2 handed weapons just have 1, making 1 handed weapons and shield have extra burst skill as a perk.
Main-hand 1 handed weapons have only 1 burst skill. (same Sword-Flurry, Axe-Eviscerate and Mace-Skullcrack)
2nd burst skill depends on off-hand weapon or shield…
And is not same as main-hand, if 2 of same weapons are equipped. (Like Shield burst skill and off-hand Axe, Sword and Mace burst skills.)

Both skills use same adrenaline pool.
Doesn’t change too much but adds more variance to Burst skills in general.
