Guide to WvW body counting:

1) If you wipe the enemy, their numbers are yours multiplied by 1.5

Ex: “Our 20 man totally trashed your 30 lol.”

2) If your group wipes, multiply the number by a factor 2 or greater. Add the word “blob” to describe said group. Insert jab about ‘skill’ and ‘spam’.

Ex: “Of course our 30 people will die to your 60 man blob. Any moron in a group that size can mindlessly spam 1 and win.”

When discussing the ele, remember to state if you mainly use yours for pve,spvp or wvw.

As far as spvp, i dont know and i dont care

As for PvE, the last time i was in fractals, i was kicking kitten with my dnd setup

As for WvW, the Rank abilities, i.e. Fortitude/Pow etc + Food buffs + top gear + DnD makes the ele fun. As i say again, its not easy to fight 3v1 anymore on a dnd ele. ’

So for WvW, a few tweaks(buffs) to RTL , mistform and signets would the very least they could do

How does any of that differ from the normal drivel we get? Seems remarkably the same kind of ‘we are working on it’ response.

‘working on it’ should eventually result in implementation. All we see implemented is garbage that ignores what players are telling them, so when is this ‘working on it’ going to actually pay off?

This is because Devon wants to make sure he does not pull out a “TOA” style expansion from DAoC which killed off 50% of the player base.

TOA was an expansion that makes the progression from exotic gear to ascended gear look small in comparison. Basically EA/Mythic made such drastic changes that not only required players months of grinding to get gear but also made it that you were almost 50% better than the player without toa ML and Gear.

So better tiny updates than significant explosions.

However, some of their class balance skills and lag problems need better work done on them

Why are you comparing an expansion to lack of any meaningful improvements to wvw at a patch level? Just felt like talking about DAoC? There isnt even anything closely related to TOA being discussed, so why bring it up?

WvW scoring format should have been changed a long time ago. A 24/7 open scoring system is ridiculous. I personally don’t do it, but there are many commanders who are spending a ridiculous amount of effort in attempts to provide coverage in the off hours. They say it’s fine now, but it will eventually burn them out. Along with the players who don’t have anything better to do, a good portion of these players playing in the off-hours for the sake of the server go to classes, have families, jobs, bills, etc.

Yeah, we are able to make our own decisions and make more logical decisions, but these are players that enjoy the game so much that they are living a pretty unhealthy lifestyle. Even then, they are still the minority and much of what they do, from defending, to upgrading, etc goes with a end result of nothing to show for.

I don’t have much of a suggestion to fix this, perhaps finally put a IP split between EU and NA players to even out the playing field, but I myself enjoy my New Zealand and Australian friends as I’m sure others do. But I hope you guys can look into this and find a solution. WvW is as much of a coverage game, as it is a numbers game but there are servers out there that have absolutely no presence outside of prime time.

So in short summary, lets Ban EU players from playing on NA servers but allow ozies and kiwis to play on NA servers. Discrimination at its finest.

Gone are the days when it was easy for 3v1. Now 2v1 is very hard. Anet does not want the ele to be a deadly roamer. They want us to be a support class with lousy armour, lousy defense, lousy dps but good CC and combos. I say they will never take my daggers away. Never!

We were getting little to no fights every week on DB. The place that has the most consistent fights during NA prime is JQ, so we came here and farm lots of loot bags now instead of pveing in DB.

Just saying the full potential of some of your guilds gets tainted by your superiour numbers *cough NS, Agg. The only competition you will get is vs SoR as BG seems to be having some trouble in paradise. And that will be like 3 weeks out of 7 in the leagues.

Also have nothing against HzH, you guys are an admirable guild which stuck it out on JQ during the harsh times. Just have a problem with your gold sellers/recruiters and those bandwagoners which joined your server that will fill your queues once PVE comes into play.

Hmmm i think for most folks there are 3 type of zergs with difference in T1 vs T2 style

Small zerg is anything less than 15 for T2 while 20 for T1

Medium zerg is anything less than 25 for T2 while 40 for T1

Large kitten zerg is anything less than 50 for T2 while 80 for T1

If you mean Lee, he split off from NS back in DB and as I understand it co-leads a guild [EE] that recently transferred to BG.

As for the zerg lines, I’m curious as to how Rooster and others would feel about the numbers listed above.

I think those numbers are quite accurate, i’m not actually against zergs i don’t mind them. While i do prefer smaller scale fights i’m not anti zerg, where my problem lies is with guilds transferring to t1 clearly knowing that competition will be thin with leagues coming out.

Rooster, what does SoS really want? Do they want to be number 6 in the gold league or do they want to be kings in the silver league? Just a general consensus of what SoS feels will suffice.

If I were anet I would make the outnumbered buff mean something.

I.e. +70 to all stats.

This is incorrect as nPr (permutations) does take into account the order of things. For example, JQ/SoR/BG is different to JQ/BG/SoR, but as far as match-ups are concerned they are the same. What you need is nCr (combinations):

Anet hopes that T1 guilds will spill onto T2. So , As the season progresses , t1 and t2 will have equal numbers. Anet has high ambitions.

However, i suspect this is what will happen. Blowouts will,may or may not occur because the t2 servers will,may, or may not 2 v 1 the tier 1 server they are fighting. This is all speculation. I think no one really knows until season 1 passes.

You are counting their color as a possible permutation.

There are 10 possible matchups (listed below for simplicity) with ~60 (poor math being used here) different color combinations possible.

Not really true. T1 and T2 can be fun. Its just that fighting a t3 server like SoS is utterly boring.
