Best WvW I’ve had in this game was last night on SoR with Wrex and then Dgin commanding, nothing short of epic !

Dgins wanted those noodles so bad but the noodles kept running away… my ears had a hangover after it all

Looks like the damage from LH and FGS were “unintended” so Anet just nerfed them. By how much? Or was this a thing of the original patch accidentally buffed the conjures and this patch just restored them to what damage they were a few days ago?

I suspect that mounts will eventually come as PvE only mounts. Although seeing Appa in WvW would make me pee my pants.

I know the JQ public TS , Chinese speaking sub-channel fields around 40 to 80 daily and is growing everyday.

No one is pulling out huge wins anymore. If anyone is winning, it’s usually around 10-20k.

Smaller wins are better imho, that means the servers are getting closer and closer to being balanced.

Maybe one day we will be lucky enough to keep playing for 1-2k wins. How amazing would that be.

So when we are finally getting population balance, they introduce “the league” to unbalance things or will it be better for balance?

Actually i mastered SnF for 6 weeks then Staff for another month and SnD for 2 weeks before using DnD like forever. If you run group style all the time, especially 5 to 8 man groups SnF/SnD are both viable.

So in short

DnD is best for 1v1 or small roaming grps with subjective zerg warfare use since most of the time u will hear the commander shout “blast finishers” water fields" blah blah blah, and with dagger, how are u gonna do a water field combo?

SnF/SnD is best for small grps all the way to keep take

Staff is best for zerg warfare all the way to keep take.

This can be argued till the sun explodes

more like Avatar Roku. Our air line consists more of lightening skills rather than evasion and movement based air skills, which leads me to believe we have a greater aptitude towards fire, which gives us control over lightening, as well.

I was wondering that as well since our Air line creates electricity instead of electricity from the fire bending skills. I think staff has more avatar like air spells than DnD.

I’m thinking this league COULD be a good thing. I think basing the win on glicko score gain being the key. It could promote de-stacking which would probably be a good thing. We all know how to gain glicko for several weeks in a row, Kaining did that in January when WM transferred form tier 1 to tier 8. Large guilds moving to lower tier servers sounds like a good way to win glicko-gain based league and is good for wvw in general. We might get some good things out of the league system.

There are three sorts of guilds

One has server pride and will never transfer out from their world regardless of win or lose. I connote them to the samurai

The second type holds no allegiance to any particular server and enjoys whichever server provides good fights. I refer to them as Mercenaries

The third type are free agents and change servers faster than I change my underpants. I call them free agents

Anet made a mistake. They decreased the length and yet increased the CD. They should have chosen either, not both. Also mistform heal and vigor was essential.

Been using it for 1 year now. Havent changed it since nothing else really works in WvW roaming and grps

As someone who spends about $50 a month on gems, i think i have already overpaid. The only thing i ask Anet is, give players free transfers before they implement the league.

It’s no secret that coverage = wins in WvW

There’s no magic quotient for “skill” in the leaderboards. If wins are determined by coverage as you say, then the leaderboards are absolutely an analysis of coverage, so they can just set up the leagues by the leaderboards.

I don’t think enough time has passed for the random glicko to work out the correct order of servers. The middle is still a jumble.

I’m pretty sure anet has better stats than what we have access to as well.

According to my analysis we need another 12 more weeks before we can see stability in the glicko(+rng) system. At the moment , the average of all servers to win max points is around an average of 40%

This league system is a very bad idea.

It really seems that Anet likes to break what is not broken.

This happened to DAoC (google the game).

At first transfers were locked. So server pride was huge. Then they made it locked to 24hrs, then less, and less and less. Server pride when out the window and so did the game.

SoR has 130% of JQ population , BG has 125% of JQ population.

JQ has 150% better skills, its how we roll, quality, not quantity.
