If they can pull off what they’ve been talking about (starving keeps by holding farms and mines and whatnot, having it all in a Cyrodiil sized map so it’s WvW in a WORLD, etc) it could be a serious threat. As for the sub? I spend a sub’s worth most months in the gem shop anyway, no skin off my teeth.

And @ Bailey, ESO has a target of spring 2014, which was already pushed back from spring 2013, so they might actually pull it off.

ESO will capture a huge part of the WoW market.

From what i have seen, heard and also read from players, ESO will not kill WvWvW.

Camelot Unchained is a big worry for GW2 wvw but its too far away with a possible date of Dec 2016.

DAoC is too old, the population is only a few hundred and none of my friends play it anymore.

I like these ideas.

This is why Anet should have just bought some of the code instead of starting from scratch.

With the end of last week’s NA match, I had my 50th WvW “Tier 1” win.

I ran with three guilds in doing so: The Elite, Henge of Denravi; Darkness is Everywhere (DiE), Sea of Sorrows; and Center of Attention (CA), Blackgate.

The intent of this post (and the linked video) is to mark this milestone. Thank you to those I’ve fought with, and against. The Oceanic and SEA community is alive and well. Thank you also to the NA guilds that stay up late (and for reset on our Saturday mornings). The WvW experience that GW2 offers would not have been such great fun without you.

Thanks for taking the time to explain. By that definition SBI wasn’t a bandwagon server. As Magikarp has stated, the departure of War Machine, a key guild in SEA time precipitated the downfall of SBI. SF the other large guild was left alone holding NA. Perhaps you can enquire Jed about the history of SBI?

JQ had won before RNG. Now , taking only tier 1 scores into consideration and not the tier-free calculation, JQ is still winning.

I also find it funny with all the chest pumping SOR does about how it’s respectful and doesn’t pay for guilds etc. I was still on JQ when TW transferred for a week or 2 when SOR dropped down to T2. Sure it was for better fights, but to ask or demand that JQ pay for their transfer? Quite funny actually. The post is still there, sitting in the JQ leadership section with Indo’s requests.

In relation to gold buying guilds :-

In general, JQ is not in the business of buying guilds. However, individual guilds are at free liberty to do what they like.

JQ’s recruitment’s driving force is to get guilds that want to join a server that can remain loyal to the JQ server. It is for these reason why we have the strongest core guild and players. In the end this will benefit all guilds in JQ.

Back in the old days™, we used rams (with a limit of 5 in closer proximity), catapults (same as for rams), arrow carts, ballistas and trebuchets to siege an enemy for some epic battles. Funny thing is: Except for trebuchets, they won’t despawn on server reboot…

The WvW political climate has switched, JQ SEA focuses SoR now because of IRON trolls and other antics from SoR.

JQ and SoR did support one another at this time, but it is gone.

exactly. Sorry Indo/SOR, it’s not ur fault, we couldnt help you any longer. Waha has tried extremely hard to soothe JQer since last match-up, IRON was a huge troll even if there is a so called truce front of ppl. it’s like, mate you call us for help and some of your crew bite our butt, what’s going on, what do you really want?? Our NA bros were being trolled again, again and again; Waha announced ’that’s enough; that’s it. sorry Indo….’ on the 2nd day this match-up.

According to Waha, there is no other better/stronger guilds better than MERC from BG( well, I am guessing he is talking about MERC’s SEA force). They are much stronger than ATM in terms of coverage and size. He mentioned a few times he wont be happy to see if MERC left from BG and he believe the match-up will be too bored. Waha/ATM respect them hard and Waha doesnt give kitten to IRON at all.

Oh by the way, ‘IRON you messed up everything.’- this word isn’t from me, I am just a minion of ATM, I heard it from lots lots and lots other JQers, including Waha ATM.

The amusing part of that statement is most of SEA, ATM and MERC spend most of it avoiding each other.

Our SEA has focused SoR for a total of 2 weeks, please ask BG how many times our SEA was all over them. I am not here to argue but come on now, your judging everything based on 2 weeks.

The problem with how you see it is that it’s just the micro-view of the much bigger picture.

To Indo’s philosophy I reply, with all due respect, that’s a rather immature view of competition. You can be feared but respected by your foes. Consider the fact that half the BG guilds talk kitten about each other in /map chat regularly. I think Indo’s philosophy is probably the better one.

I’d rather be on the server that has a positive friendly community than the poisonous one where everyone went there just to win and people disrespect their own teammates.

I can outlast guardians. Infact im far from squishy. Also i can deal a good amount of damage, so not really sure what the OP is on about.

You can’t do a good amount of damage AND outlast a guardian as Elementalist. Atleast, not a decent guardian.

With food ,stacks and fury, yes. Almost 50% crit damage with 62% crit chance with might stacks is decent in my books.
