FA vs DB match looks very exciting from my office.

Yes, mix is the best. But Mix is something you will have to try and balance. Are there templates out there for the copying, yes. Do you really want to copy them exactly? No. Everyone has a different playstyle. Fiddling with your gear till you find the perfect mix is very fun but also very opinionated, Some say might makes up for low pow, some say pre scales better than pow, some say tuff at 1600 is fine, some say healing at 700 is comfortable, some say blah blah blah

Yes I realise that racial skills are subpar vs non racial ones, but you’re actually comparing a super elite (D-series golem) with the regular elite (Glyph of Elemental), so that part got me curious enough to make a comparison. Currently I have 27 skill points or so, if the golem is indeed better than the glyph than I’ll take that over tornado.

Anything is better than tornado. Any ele with tornado should be tied up

Always add +/- 30 to +/- 45 degrees to burning speed direction when circling enemy before spamming. Note there is a minor cone angle of about 25 degrees for some space for error by the client or server side computation.

Burning speed is best utilised after spamming immobolise on the enemy or for running through a stack of enemies or for adding distance between the zerg any you after spamming rtl and LF.

The earth pet tanks very well but its a waste unless you are PvD. But even for solo camp tanking, the water elemental can do the job.

I dunno… I feel like my Water Ele gets slapped around easily when I solo cap upgraded/special vet defended camps whereas with my Earth Ele, I don’t even have to worry about it.

no, it wont work for upgraded camps. Tried and tested. Then again, a fully upgraded camp is not something you can a3, then a4 and a5 into followed by f3 , f5 and f4 and then e2,e4 and e5 quickly followed by w4 and LF into with w3. Not easy.

What the Nik said. Crit%60 for both % and chance % is a requirement.

With the new buffs to air line , SnD is now a semi-caster type playstyle.

DnD is till the ultimate choice for the pros because its the best. And yes it has limited range

SnF is no where near what is was like in GW1

So is Staff

What ever you remember about the ele in GW1, delete that memory.

The staff, however is something you must always, always!!! carry with you. The situation may arise where you are asked for combos or keep taking.

Like the guy above said, you start with PVT gear. Also dnd is your best friend. But its the hardest to master.

The dnd ele is one of the hardest classes to master in gw2 but is also the most versatile providing damage,tankage,healing and buffs

The chances of a BG/JQ/SoR match is now at a 96.72% chance of occurring

Elementalist DnD is the hardest class. We are the Jack of all trades and master of none. We can heal, heal friends, heal every second, do decent damage with fury up, decent signets, we have CC , alot of PBaoe damage, we are really versatile.

We are good in 1v1 dnd, good in 3v3 with dnd, good in zergs with staff.

We have mistform , which even nerfed, still can heal cause u can dodge heal during mist for 3k.

Only thing that anet did wrong was screw up RTL.

Whenever i fight an ele that goes to tornado, i cant help but chuckle. :P

I hope next week match up (yes Anet, i know you read our forums and yes i know the RNG is actually manually determined) is
