This Engineer trait, Self Regulating Defenses, resets the cool down on A.E.D. The healing skill A.E.D. normally has a cool down of 40 seconds. This is a rather potent interaction, and I have to assume it is not intended since I can not find any information that this interaction is supposed to occur.

Glowing dyes would seem hard to implement on some of the armor sets we have in game. But sure…glowing dyes, we need more stuff that is shiny, glowy, sparkly, bright, blinding and seizure inducing.

I’m a PvE only player and I finished my monthly weeks ago, without touching a jumping puzzle. I don’t see what the problem is really.

Had a case of a PU mesmer doing this a few weeks back. The really sad thing is it takes longer to restart the client and log in than it does to simply wp.

I’m still not sure what you’re asking. Are you talking about “season” map rotations? Pretty sure we addressed this in the show.

All maps will be available during “off-seasons”, such as the time between Dec 2 and Dec 16. Once the ladder test season kicks off on December 16th, we’ll be limiting the available map pool to “tournament maps”.

At about the time of the change, one of the PvP-centric Devs said that the Tribal Armor would possibly be added to a reward track.

That was some time ago, though, and he hasn’t mentioned anything about it since.

I believe the phrase used was something along the lines of “we may add it back into the game in the future”.

I know I have been one of the posters on these forums suggesting a new PvP reward track with the old PvP skins.

I don’t have a solution cause I am not sure how to merge populations. I am willing to bet the “How do we handle the current state of WvW” is a topic discussed with some frequency by the designers/developers. Personally I don’t think they have a solution yet and I suspect they are waiting til it worsens even more before they work on it.

All the things needed for GvG in GW2 existed in GW1, no clue what has caused over a 2 year delay on it’s implementation in a game called “Guild Wars”.

You think 2 condition removal per 15/20 seconds and transmute makes you resilient to condition attacks? If someone is solo queuing, and sick of Engineers, rolling in on a condi focused, but survivable War/Necro/Guardian/Ranger/Ele/Mesmer/Thief.. it’s way more than likely to go even, force the Engi off the point, or beat the Engineer with only healing turret, transmute, and hoelbrak/melandru. Assuming equal skill.

Seriously! Engineers are terrible against condition focused builds. I’m not saying that anything other than Engi/Necro/Ranger and maybe War/Ele are viable as condi in high level tPvP, but any condi build has a fair shot at beating an Engineer 1v1.

Yes, what I mentioned does matter. Does it make them completely immune? Nope. Take what I mentioned, stand in your turrets and get back to me.

A week or so ago I ran across a WvW Engi build posted somewhere in this forum or possibly the PvP forum, I thought it was in one of ArrDee’s posts but I can not locate it (it wasn’t his/her build IIRC). The build was P/P roamer that actually used Adventurer runes.

Anyone have a link to that post or a direction I can search in?

The skins were originally a PvP reward, how does including them in a reward track suddenly “push PvP so hard”?

They were also available through achievment reward chests, which could be gained merely by PvE and a lot of luck with what you got. That’s how I originally got my Stalward shoulder.

Shields are useful for certain class/build combinations in certain environments. WvW/PvP primarily. Engineer and Warrior are at the top of my list where the shield has usefulness in those environments.

The easiest way to re-implement the old pvp only wardrobe items is via a new PvP reward track. I recommend you push suggestions in that direction.

Go to Pandora, create a channel using Caravan Palace. There is your funky pvp tunes.

It existed in GW1 at about the 1.5 year mark. It’s been brought up numerous times, obviously unless it has a gem cost it won’t be happening. This, along with a few other things, should have been in the game at launch. 7 years developing a game that was supposed to follow up from a previous game that had these features and they just didn’t have enough time to squeeze it in. Priorities you know.

Anet LOVES their Cheesehammer. You know it, you can’t make them change their minds. They even do these half measures to make it seem less cheesy.

Take Hotjoins for example. Scorpionwire/Tricks traited thieves, Rifle/Flamethrower engis will purposely ONLY join Skyhammer. The cheese is high, and Anet LOVES their cheese.

Hrm maybe I missed it, but is anything being done about Waypoint dancers, you know the "AFK"s that aren’t afk. They move a tad whenever they are warned they will be kicked or shortly before the warning.

Basically there needs to be a participation check after the idle check. If they haven’t attacked or been attacked after a set period, they are kicked.

Lately I have been experiencing what I consider a bug, and I have bugged it in the Support forums, but I am getting no response there. Perhaps there is an issue I can resolve on my end that would solve this, and I am posting here in hopes someone is experiencing or has resolved this particular issue.

When I am playing a PvP match and I move from the active match in to Spectate, very often (but not 100% always) all sounds drop out except for the sound of the weapon swap jingle. The only way I can resolve this is to completely exit the client and restart the game.

Thoughts?

Unless I need runes (Black Lion Salvage Kit) or Ecto (whatever the Rare kit is called) I generally go for the cheapest kit with the most charges. I don’t want to be bothered being cheap and lugging around an inventory full of 15 charge salvage kits (or worse).

This is just not gonna happen to a hotjoin. There isn’t a massive queue of players as it is, bringing it further down to a handful of active matches will only harm the game further.

If anything I hope future modes will have smaller team member requirements as a viable option. 8v8 would be better suited to a GvG mode.

Yes! Contrary to the usual tantrums and refusal to buy gems until you change this or that, with the new changes to PvP per the blogs recently AND what I consider a fantastic Jungle Outfit, I am threatening to buy gems!

Good job GW2 team, all around. I realize the holidays are ahead and there will be a lull in new things or improvements, but for now I am at least a happy gamer.
