Stick with GS for levelling. Unless you are levelling off massive open world events where you don’t always want to be in melee range, in which case you opt for a ranged weapon choice.

Still occuring, fairly frequently. At least 1 in 5 times of going to spectate from match sound will drop out. Have to restart the client to clear this bug.

Okay so the reason I was posting this was to point out there needs to be an option in Mail to Block. From within the Mail panel.

Am I missing the option? I keep getting mail from someone using alternate keyboard characters in their name and I do not see an option to block, only Report……..

it is a lvl 38 event, but since you need to be lvl 36 to spend the 2nd point anyways, you can rush it on your own or let a guildy help you out.

once you reach lvl 60, you’ll be able to unlock power-shoes by completing Sorrows Embrace’ Story Mode.

I think the outfit is actually quite well done, but I agree that it simply does not fit in with the lore that Anet has created (sure, there are other examples of this, but having one more element that breaks my “suspension-of-disbelief” does not help).

The last MMO I played had a fantasy realm similar to GW2. Then they introduced motorcycles into their version of a gem store…….some lines should never be crossed, and Anet is dangerously close with this one.

Again Ball Gowns carrying Hammers fits right in to your immersion? Do I recount the previous other less than immersive content? Shall I start with the fact I loathe Wings and from the prelaunch of the game forward I just knew Anet would add wings cause it’s like carnival corn?

Remember in GW1’s Random Arena where “teams” would simul queue and if their queue popped they would announce in voice chat and join then roll the randoms?

Yeah, I am sensing a return of that “feature”.

Changing how much of a stat you get on a piece of gear doesn’t address the real issue now does it?

Healing power sucks compared to Power? Fix Healing Power, don’t double down on how much of the stat you get, double down on how effective the stat is.

The issue isn’t salvaging the gear, the issue is retrieving the upgrades. Please don’t make the issue something it is not.

Said it many times now, there needs to be an in game, non-destructible method to retrieve upgrades. The current system is a bad one and needs an overhaul.

I think it’s an account unlock. You unlock it on one character and all have them. Most of us veterans were likely already passed the point it unlocked on one of our characters.

That could be, and I couldn’t fault Anet for not wanting brand new players to the game getting crushed in PvP as their first experience after a tutorial.

No, I didn’t have access to them until I hit a certain level. I can’t remember which level, but the only way I could have gone to wvw or pvp was to walk to lions arch.

I make alts and run the tutorial every day, for pvp alts. After tutorial the swords are there. You will be auto-level 2 after tutorial.

Let’s start by stating the fact scoring in EotM has no effect on WvW. That right there is plenty enough to seperate the two, no?

WvW needs work. EotM is fine as it is for what it is.

There is a reason this exists in other games. If you limit the report to an extremely rigid framework you are restricting the player to making a report that may not encompass the incredibly wide nuances that exist in games like this.

I can’t even begin to understand why a better description of the issue isn’t wanted or desired. Pinning an issue down to the exact nature would surely be far better than leaving it wide open to interpretation or worse a misunderstood report. It isn’t like any official representative will contact anyone for further explanation, now is it?

In many online games I played, there is also a second section in report dialogue window, where you can write a small description (usually with character limit 1000 letters) where you can further describe any usefull information about the reported activity (for example exact location or improved description of abusive activity). I think it would be a good improvement if GW2 report dialogue window have this text section too.

They are fully aware there is no input field for text. This is as intended. In my opnion they just feel they will know how to handle every situation and players are not capable of providing useful information and it will leave them open to snide remarks.

Legitimate example: I ran across a player in PvP with a racial slur for a pet name, yet I can’t report that. I can report the player for an inappropriate character name. If I do that I could receive penalties myself for a false report, since the character name was fine. No place in the dialogue popup to explain the report further. Anet knows this.

My favorite moment was when the event started and the “debris” spawned while I was at that node. Trapped character……

Since all anyone has to do to soak up a slot on a team and not contribute is move every so many seconds so they aren’t auto kicked. This needs to be changed for Solo Queue.

If they do not attack someone within 40 seconds of being warned, they are kicked.

I don’t even understand why these topics exist. There is nothing you can do to avoid or go around it completely, and thus why there is no penalty if it is confirmed to be happening.

But you can PvP as soon as the tutorial is over. Obviously PvP is far less complicated.

To be fair, this game is seperated into 3 parts, not 2. WvW, while typically rolled into PvE conversations, is a rather unique and isolated game mode in and of itself.

There honestly shouldn’t be unique rewards for PvP. They should be shared with WvW and since skill plays a much smaller part than simple time invested, I can’t think of any logical reason for there to be a split.

Are you really suggesting WvW is skill based? It is just zerg v zerg for the overwhelming population of WvW participants. Also, do you really consider EotM the same mode as WvW? EotM is just a farm train environment, again for the overwhelming population of participants.

I do agree WvW could use it’s own set of reward tracks and it needs far better loot than it currently has, but again this isn’t the thread for that discussion.

Silverwastes is also in the Maguuma region, so I hope we go back and update the reward track with the new rewards like bandit crests, keys, and shovels.

The sooner the better. I have little interest in new PvE content any more, and as of right now I have no interest in the Maguuma Track as it stands.

Also, about PvP events held to lure PvE players in for their first time, I am sure you have discussed at some point a PvP bonus (buff) event every weekend? The one that was only done during the tournament weekends. I don’t see why that isn’t available every weekend.

There needs to be weekend events across all modes of game play, but that is another topic altogether.

The default builds were never good aha. Most of them hardly make sense.

The problem initially with the default builds is they were made even before launch.

The reason some traits are now blank is due to the changes over the games life, traits got moved, renamed, etc. The builds weren’t updated.

I would like an official response, not to me or this thread necessarily, but I would like to see a contest offered in the specific class forums for New PvP default builds.

Keep in mind the restrictions that would need to be considered, like no XIII traits since they won’t be initially available to many new PvPers.

Shared Anguish has a 90s CD. Magnet has a 25s CD. L2Dodge?

Who would roam without Sic Em?

Its a great skill, IF you even find a thief to use it on and IF you see them first and are able to swap it in. A trap will “reveal” them just the same and is useful otherwise.

If I continue to use spider then there is no point in taking poison trap. It applies long duration poison on 3 targets as well.

I use bird cause it can reliably land hits. I love dogs but beyond the rare kd and howl skills they are meh. I might try the krytan hound again though as an immobilize aoe could be more useful then birds single target chill.

You must play on a low wvw pop server if you rarely see a thief when roaming. I play on a T1 and thieves are a constant encounter.

However traps and torch can be useful, as can a stealth disabler. To each their own.

I see, by that rational since all the expansions which would approximately cost at point of sale $250-$300nzd combined, if I brought some glowing eyes from the gem store ($15nzd) and then handed ArenaNET $300nzd (total $315nzd) then I should be able to apply my set of now extremely expensive glowing eyes without the requirement of a transmutation.

Translation : NZD = New Zealand Dollars
