It looks good from dmg output/mobility point of view, but the toughness is really lacking if you don’t have endure pain and/or shield stance or other defensive utilies. If you don’t have defensive gear, you’ll have to play defensive, and the other way around.

2nd: Afaik we don’t do GvG, as we’re more into random encounters on the battlefield.

C’mon man, so much in the world is destroyed by rules. Rules here rules there. In WvW you can kill anyone, why people wouldn’t be allowed to kill you is beyond my understanding. And at the same time you are very muich allowed by Anet to interrupt a duel, but you have to bear with the consequences of kitten off all of the involved players. See, you are surrounded by 10 players that tell you not to kill a certain person. The choice is entirely yours. Die, or not die. Who’s saying you can’t enjoy dueling aswell? Nobody. See there is but one rule applying to these duels, and that is the golden rule. If you want to be treated well, treat others well. Want respect? Treat others with respect? Want to stomp someone? Prepare to be stomped.

Slomo, as a Gandarian myself I know that we also have the outmanned buff very often, not as you say in our own borders and mostly not in EB, but most of the time in AG and BB. It’s the way it goes. If we are going to be realistic I don’t think Gandara have so much bigger wvw pop than AG that it’s the reason you loose. You have to look at your own server if you want to improve, you don’t have so few people that you can’t do anything against us.

Crazy fights last night on BB bl! So much people!
There need to be zergs in WvW, if they did something to completely removing it it wouldn’t feel right. It’s an open world PvP mode, more people=more succes, it’s the way it is, always has been.
One thing that would be really effective though, is if AoE damage would be noticable higher the more people affected by it. It would defenitly spread things out a bit. But It’s just a theory, it’s nothing I would like. On the other hand everyone would roll an Ele!

Yes, I did indeed link a vid where our whole guild group of around 15 people wiped to less than 15 pugs at the north camp. The only intention I had of posting this vid was to show how much the guild I’m in sucks.
P.S I forgot to mention that we killed a few lowbies on 01:00 and 10:15 into the movie, you must have missed that part. Oh wait that’s kind of the whole movie.

I run Axe/Shield in fractal, full berserker with a knights amulet and 90+ toughness with a shield trait. Works very well imo, but I carry a rifle in the bag for bosses that is best fought at a distance, for example boss on dredge fractal, and the shaman boss.

Yes, fun dueling at FS bl today even though it’s disturbing fighting at equal conditions cuz yeah I die alot.
I run a glasscannon warrior atm, and it’s indeed viable. I runt Axe/Shield aswell so I’ve spent much time on learning to land the blocks and dodges and stuns. That’s really what it’s all about. Movement. If you’re glass, you have to move to stay alive. Stunbreakers are important, as soon as you’re pinned you’re dead.
I go Axe/Shield with frenzy to nuke that shield down. As offhand I usually go with Sword/Warhorn but I tend to switch to Rifle b4 that boss. Simply because of the range and still keeping the damage up.
I don’t find the 3seconds of invuln. worth it. How long is the cooldown?
Against d/d ele’s, just get stabilty and autoattack. As soon as you see that they don’t have stability, chain cc them. Usually does the trick for me.
Yeah I switch between the stability stance and endure pain. Endure pain is not invulnrability for the record, just take zero damage from attacks. Can still be stunned etc. I havn’t yet worked out which one that serves me best.
I usually don’t have a trouble with anything coming at me but if I have trouble, it’s a good d/d ele or a good mesmer.
I thought endure pain only lasts 3 seconds unless you take sure-footed?
I have a thief recently switched to warrior to try it out after watching Avlis videos. I love warrior its alot of fun alot of different weapon sets compared to my thief. I have no problems with thieves usually in WvW I do have a harder time against d/d ele’s but it depends on scenario of the fight usually making them run when roaming around isn’t hard though. I am still learning but warrior is alot of fun.
Well it’s bugged apparently. It says it’s 5 seconds but its really not, only lasts like 3 seconds. I tend to use it as I use frenzy to smash out the 50% more damage while on frenzy. And yeah, totally agree on the d/d eles.
Don’t go berserker warrior and you are fine in WvW.
I go full berserker in WvW. Axe/Shield. Works perfectly well. My survivability lies in 3 second block and 5 second endure pain and the movement that comes with Sword/Warhorn and bull’s charge. I have no trouble at all with thieves.

My asura warrior is named Saint Nimrod. Nimrod means rebel in hebrew, and a name on a biblical character. He’s mentioned as a “mighty hunter before God” in the Bible. He’s also known as Gilgamesh for his rebellion against God and freeing his people of slavery of religion. Consider Saint as some kind of title or divine twist to the usage of Rebel
To make clear, I run axe/shield with 116 crit dmg, but I think toughness/vitality is a necessesity when you won’t have the blocks of the shield or sword/warhorn that I run with(which makes up for the loss in vit/tough). The mobility of GS sucks tbh and to go full berserkers you have to get those defensive utilities and the mobility to stay alive. It’s not optimal for grinding and dungeons.
I’d say for farming you’d want the damage but still the toughness. Valkyrie for the crit dmg and vitality and knight’s for toughness and prec. knights armor and valkyrie trinkets with berserker jewels maybe.
Warriors have excellent mobility skills. I use sword/warhorn only for the run and leap skills, and bulls charge aswell. There’s no player that can escape that combo. First leap, and then bulls charge to knock down and damage. ’tis awesome.
14k is not that brutal, the other day I landed a 17k Evescirate in WvW(might stacks, vulnrability). I have 116 crit dmg tho. I have critted a 23k hundred blades aswell, I wanna see some ~20k Evescirates! Then we’re talking!

Look at the top, and you’ll see a thread named “My warrior build” or something, look in there. I have atleast written out a short but (I think) handy build guide for solo roaming in there, and I’m sure there’s a few others aswell.
And to the topic maker, what the kitten man? I don’t know your name at all but I know alot of other warriors names that are extremely good, and none of them claims to be the best warrior of GW2. Chill out, go play. You’re not the best warrior in GW2, undoubted.
I don’t find warriors UP in sPvP, but I think there’s way more to build and playstyle with the warrior that you might think. You have to learn to play a warrior, just like you have to learn to play an Engineer. It’s just that people expects to put time on learning an Engineer, and a warrior is always a “easy-heavyhitting tanky” thing.
I do feel that other classes have a slight advantage when they can chain retaliation 70% of the time, or apply 5 stacks of confusion every 10 seconds tho, with very long CDs on cond removal. The most viable way to play a warrior is to burst another player down so that it can’t do anything, which is kinda funny, and is completely useless if you’re having a 1vX situation.
Yep. There’s always a balance, my 116 crit dmg won’t do kitten if I can’t land it. Foods/sigils/oils and learn to time Fury and you’re set for most of the time, at least as long as you have above 30 % base crit chance.
Hm, I run 39% crit chance and 116 crit dmg. Use master maintenance oil, superior sigil of perception and butternut squash soup in WvW, fully stacked sigil gets me to about 60% crit chance, with fury 80%.
I have 106% crit damage(116% with food). 39% crit chance, buffed and charged sigil at 61%, with fury 81%. Crit damage has no cap, except a limit of the number of crit dmg improvements you can wear. I can even get it higher, since I have a knight’s amulet. And I have superior run of the air on 2 armour pieces, which gives 2% crit dmg, and with rubys it was 4%. Except for those two stuff I don’t think I can have a higher crit dmg. Trait is full aswell. Would max out on 110% if I got everything I can. 120% with food. This is with the warrior axe trait aswell! Not to forget.

My build for an Axe/Shield + Sword/Warhorn WvW roaming warrior.
My armor is full berserker (2 rune of air, rest rubys) with a knight’s amulet. Along with the +90 toughness when using shield and the traitline +200 toughness you get som decent armor ~ 2.7k armor. Using exquisite rubys on all trinkets results in 106 % crit. The crit chance ticks at 39%, but with a superior sigil of perception, plus butternut squash soup and master maintenance oil the precision can full buffed tick at around 60%, and the crit dmg at 116%.
How to play you say?
Shield is your defensive reliability, be sure to land it properly! This will take a while, but once you learn to land it on most bursts of dmg and get enemys skills on cd they are very vulnrable. Shield has a stun/interrupt to simply interrupt skills. Frenzy, obv to use when you feel confident and want a final blow, a few extremely fast hits with the axe and an evescirate that hits ALOT. Balanced stance breaks stuns and provides stability when either meeting a zerg or downing ppl, or simply need a stability. The bulls charge can be used for alot of things, but mainly charging into a person and knocks them down for 2 seconds. But I also tend to use it as a type of escape to reload my cds. The heal is mainly for removing conditions and a small healing(get some healing from the traits). Signet of rage – the only choice for roaming. With fury, the crit chance ticks at around 70% while buffed, more with charged sigil. Swiftness, 30 seconds and with superior air 36 seconds, plus the warhorn swiftness 48 seconds. Great for moving between targets and eventually flee from a zerg. 5 stacks of might ofc. I’m not building around stakcing might because my playstyle is very plain, I can’t afford alot of extra stuff because it kittens up my mind. This si why the build suits me, there’s not really much to think about except timing your defensive stuff and just nuke. Might take some time to learn to play but it wouldn’t take too long.
I was inspired by Nammy in Ninety Nine Knights from youtube, props to her/him!! It’s really a build that suits me.
Don’t have any vids to show some of it, but you can check out Nnk guild at youtube for solo/group play with it! It’s not exactly the same but it’s VERY similar.

Taking away orange swords for 5 ppl was awesome. Very good idea, it means that the bigger forces needs to scout and go and check instead of just opening the map. It’s a huge advantage for roaming guilds with less than 25 ppl. Good step against solving the zerg issues. BUT the white swords should remain. It’s an indication to where you want to go. Check map “Oh white swords might check that out” etc.
It seems like it stucks every time we damage it after trap, for different time each time, and the traps gets broken and wont reset or reveal the boss at all after being used. It’s so broken.
Well it got stuck at the east trap. It continued spawning Ectoplasms but it just stood there doing nothing. Attached a screenie.
EDIT: Just after I posted this it started moving again, after being stuck for 10 minutes.
I think they have stated that it will be released. Probably in the next monthly patch. I don’t know where I read it so I don’t have the source.

Interesting, though I don’t think it will change much. It will even matches out in the 3-8 tiers tho, which is fine. But Vizunah and Seafarer’s will still be top servers. They are there now, they will be there after reset, because no one will change server now that it costs money. But all the same I’m interested in the consequenses, so go on!
I’ve gone for Knight’s armour and berserker’s Axe and Shield and Knights amulet and rest Valkyrie, Bloodlust sigil, still do decent damage, but also absorbs damage very well. So It’s no bad idea, but I wanted that little extra HP so I chose valkyries instead of Berserkers, and little more toughness. I think you are doing the right thing.
The definition of achivement doesn’t rhyme with easy or fun at all times. Probably not in the most cases. You achive an achivement, you don’t “do” it. As long as it’s an achivement, I’m on board. If you would have less than this on 30 days it wouldnt be hard enough.
