Congratz OP, i did not know i could read a post that makes me facepalm this much.

No they are not too hard. ALL the karka abilities are avoidable and are pretty kitten obvious when they are going to come.

Southsun has the best designed mobs in the game, i hope in the future we see more of the same style but with mobs with less hp and just more of them in general. But are they too strong? Not if you can play even in a basic level… they are just challenging then.

No you need to go out and have a bit of fun, just because a class may be OP or UP does not affect a classes fun factor.

I will second the ‘’dont listen to Daecollo’’ he seems to be unable to feel any time of positive emotions.

Warrior is NOT boring.
Warrior is lacking is some areas yes, we need some changes, yes. But the class itself is loads of fun, this class is more about knowing your animations and what your enemy does and when to attack than having lots of stuff to manage for yourself. Also make sure to pick the trait that gives you lower cooldown on weapon swap as that ability will keep you always busy as you swich between weapons all the time to utilize all abilities.

Its all about watching your enemy and attacking when it is a good moment to do so
I would say Warrior is a lot more fun in pvp(spvp/wvw) than it is in pve, altho pve will be fun too if you like big numbers : P
But me nor anyone else can not know wether this is what you want from a class, so try it out, see if you like it.

I am horrified by most of the requests here haha. Give tremon sound effects for juggernaut.. give footsteps for my this and that… I hope they wont. I want legendaries that look GOOD but that dont make annoying sounds. I want legendaries that dont look like you have kitten ed yourself(sunrise) or thakitten is that time of the month(twilight) they look kitten kittened.

Anet, please, make legendaries that make sense and not over the top to the point where you look like a clown.

Im a mix between explorer and Power-monger.

I like to explore and enjoy all the little things, yet i want to be competitive aswell so having the gear required for that is important to me, however i am happy aslong as i know i will get it and im in no hurry to do so.

For example i could do fractals to get ascended, but i dont want to and i am more than happy to just wait and get them with Laurels.
Also i tend to get obsessed with getting good at playing my class and knowing the enemy classes, i think this also contributes to the Power-monger :P

Oh and yea, i need my character to look the way i want it to, so when it comes to ’’objectives’’ in the game it usually ends up being ‘’get money to buy this look’’ or ‘’run this dungeon till i get this chest’’

You get my vote aswell, i dont want to be a guardian.

I want Warriors survability to come from something that would fit a warrior. For example more dodges (3rd ability on greatsword for example, you evade any attacks while you are doing it is a great example) and other ways that just feel more due to the warriors strenght/skill than magical enchantments. Im not sure how as im no game dev myself but i hope Anet does and will go along that path!

I couldnt respond to the part of ‘’do you think living story should be harder?’’ because while i think there should be harder content that answer would be targeted towards all of it. I think there needs to be the option of med/hard difficulty content and ofcourse harder=better drops.

But yeah.. not only one way or the other.

If Anet makes an expansion or not is more up to NCsoft than Anet i think, if they decide Anet makes an expansion Anet has to make an expansion. So i wouldnt really hold it against Anet…(also Anet didnt say there will be no Xpacks. They said they have no current plans for one as they want to improve upon their base game for now)

I dont see the problem people have with temporary content, i think it is quite genious to be honest(especially when they are adding content that wont go away aswell)

Gw2 has been updating faster than any MMO i have played(this is also baffling to me, a huge patch every month yet people find reasons to cry) and the content is here for a few weeks, making the game feel ALIVE.
The world changes month each month, something new happens that wont last forever, which creates a living, breathing world… everything isnt frozen in place.. its like a story unfolds in a book/comic/tv series.
When a bad guy shows up in a story and is killed, this doesnt happen till the end of time over and over again, which is the exact same effect temporary content creates, it is realistic. While i ofcourse want also content that will stick around and Anet has said they will ofcourse do/keep doing that. Also i would like to see hard content that only the most skilled people can pull off and im sure at some point we will see this aswell, i just wish people were patient enough(fotm is very hard on higher tiers already aswell)

First of all, take the trait that reduces cooldown on weapon swap.(that trait makes Warior the busiest melee class)

I kinda agree with you when it comes to pve, for one reason, mobs dont move so abilities are very easy to pull off on them.

However in PvP warriors need to really watch their oppoent, what they used, how many dodges they have spent, and find the exact right time to inflict punishment, that together with low weapon swap cooldown makes warrior the most fun class to me. Its all about timing (the other classes i have played at least have much easier time pulling off their attacks)

So yeah, the depth to warrior doesnt come as much from what the abilities do but their animations, and since mobs dont really utilize dodging and movement that much they are very easy to hit as a warrior and hence it can be boring.

Holy kitten that is probably the most kitten post i have seen in ages, most of the stuff you say there is not true not even close to it.

I kill thieves i come across but im 100% sure a good one will be able to kill me due to the class being very strong(and ive played one, my first lv80 was a thief)

Downed state can support zergs over skilled smaller teams which sucks, skilled gameplay should be rewarded not the other way around.

Do you guys think it would be a good step to make it so you cannot be ressed once you have died in downed state? (stomped/corpse dmg) this way zergs cant just res up everyone who has been killed and keep on overwelming you with sheer numbers. So you can res them only while they are still ’’alive’’ downed.

The strange line has been fixed btw ; p so the ground doesnt look weird anymore.

I never understood skill 4. You are a melee character, then you knock the enemies away so they’re out of melee range. Why would you wanna do that?

Well one reason is to keep enemy CC locked, but even better use for it is to deny ressing. You down someone, they try to res downed player, you push them back while your friend finishes the person/you keep dmg rolling.

First of all watch it till the end before judging.
And that is pretty much footage that was all taken within 1hour(you can look at the time on the minimap throughout the movie yourself) so it shows good moments and bad moments, the only editing is pretty much faster speed in video.

I have had much better fights than what is shown in the video and ofc lost a few of them too.

I got a black lion key for completing a map then i opened a chest and got my infused weapon…

I probably wont be lucky for years to come now.

The Karka mobs are awesome, the roll is pretty easy to dodge and it is an amazing and fair way if mobs dealing with huge zergs that just stand and nuke, more stuff like this in the game, not less!

Yeah i got fraps on ‘’half size’’ setting to save me a ton of fps while playing with fraps on, i will try to see how well my computer handles small scale with full size soon.
Also sometimes youtube wont give you higher quality even if you click the option until you play a portion of the video, im saying this just incase its blurry like a 480p video would be ; p my video quality isn’t THAT bad

Oh a fellow piken try fighting outside of the puzzle btw, it gives you a bigger sense of accomplishment. For example when you destroy enemy trebushets that are destroying your keep walls from far far away, you can have it small scale and still help out the server

Why are you roamers always running around the open world, its so big and takes long time to find anyone, atleast for me.

I roam the eternal battleground puzzle everyday killing people there because you dont need to run around all over the map.

Im playing gw2 with a friend and we do whatever we want.. the content is endless just as it is fun.

Two days ago i tried my first Arah run.. we spent 2hours in there and managed to only get to that gicanticus lupicus or whatever its name is and whipe time after time, yet it is one of the more fun experiences ive had for a long time So Anet, BIG THANKS FOR IT.

And wvwvw.. how i do love that, i doubt i will ever get tired of that content

Guardians – Faceroll pve… check. Used in speed run/high end pve groups… check. Top tier in wvw and spvp… check. “nerf the warriors!!!!!”.

my motto since months is GW2=guardian and warriors 2….they are both Beyond broksn (in an OP sense) in pve.

I wouldn’t be happy with it being the worst in pvp (which they are) to do more damage in pve, nor would anyone else with a modicum of interest in pvp (a crowd this game purports to be after).

That is the point…..MOST players don t play PvP.
Most players have issues with PvE and WWW where warriors are OP and very strong.

A “golden child” profession would not be a one trick pony and would not suck plums in a major aspect of the game (pvp).

You should check last report about population….
PvP is a tiny fraction of pve-www population.

Deriving your notion of “balance” or whether a class is the “golden child” of the developer from it’s use in highly specific, dungeon speed run teams, whilst disregarding everything else is clearly fundamentally flawed.

Seems you don play much PvE……thus you don t know the reason why anything but zerker doesn t exists in PVE.

I have to change my D/D ele from knight to zerker to do something in PvE….Oh wait but i can tank in PvP so i deserve nerfs!!!! tell that to mobs dealing 150.000 dmg in 1 second with 11.000 istant dmg lava font (invisible) and 17.000 dmg rush!

p.S. look for any advanced dungeon guide to see how all you need is DPS and WHY

WvWvW IS pvp so you can lump that in.. only ones who dont care how warriors do in pvp are PvE players :P

Yeah stealth is way too strong atm for theif to get highest burst. They are pretty broken in wvw at the moment. Devs did say they want to move away from stealth and give thief better damage avoidance out of stealth though, so maybe your highest burst dream comes true when they reach that goal :P

This game is ALOT different from other MMOs. You do have a limited skillset but it adds alot actually, when you have to choose what you will use, making sacrifices as you are not able to have everything(on most classes anyway :P).

No castbars.. you look at enemy animations.. and you dodge when you are supposed to Gw2 combat is fun and when you get used to it you will most likely love it. I know it took me a long time to get used to it ^^

I think that is where you are supposed to report them, go for the ‘’ask a question’’ then click ‘’violation report’’.

I think that is the right way to do it, if im wrong someone correct me. But please name them to Anet and say what they have done, if you have a video for it would make sure they get banned. As they probably wont ban those kitten without proof.

The game is amazing, it may lack ultra hard pve for some but i pve casually and focus on pvp more.
Welcome back and i hope you will enjoy it more than you did last time This MMO is quite a bit different than the rest so it does take a long time to get used to, just make sure to play with a friend or two!

And i hope you like pvp :P
Oh and you feel lost because Gw2 is just weird and does not follow the traditional way of other MMOs, i felt like that too(especially when i did my first dungeon, it felt so weird i didnt touch another for a long time) but really.. you get used to it.. and then soon prefer it over other MMO systems

If you dont enjoy the game you dont enjoy the game. But no this game is not against casual players, it pretty much supports them fully.

But yeah.. if you log once in a month i dont expect how you think you are going to catch everything, unless the game stops being patched.
