You dont have to have them to reach 150. You can put more than +10 or +11 on your attuned rings and infused back piece. Use +15 and +15 on each ring and a +12 on your back piece.
All I can say is think what you want, I play everyday and my FPS never drops to the point of even having to worry about checking it. I have been at the Shaman in Wayfarer when every one is complaining about single digit FPS and I’m still sitting around 50. The bottom line is that there may be small issues with the game but it’s not the reason for the huge FPS loss everyone is claiming.
And by the way, your 980 is no better than my 780 as far as this game is concerned.
Being that there are more people without FPS issues, what do you propose that Anet fixes? If there is an issue with the game wouldn’t it affect everyone or at least most people? My computer is 3+ years old and I maintain 70-120 FPS most of the time, it occasional drops to 50+ at world bosses and highly populated places.
My setup is i7-4960X, (2) GTX-780, 32g ram, samsung 840 pro ssd.
There is nothing to fix, it’s not a bug. The map locks when the Meta completes. We can only assume that it is to prevent people from taxiing in for rewards that didn’t contribute to the meta. Should the map remember you, yes, but that’s another issue. The “Network Error” is not a bug. I would first look into what is causing you to disconnect and fix that so you don’t disconnect again. Is it a network related DC or a system crash? Post some details and maybe someone can help you.
G2A is not an authorized retailer. It is a fact that they sell game keys that have been obtained illegally.
OP if it means that much to you then don’t use it.
Being we have an economy expert watching everything, I am sure that he was involved with the changes. If it was that big of a deal it wouldn’t have happened.
Look at Nightwing, it’s from Halloween 2015. Its in the TP for 19g. You can also try opening trick or treat bags, its a rare drop but who knows.
Go to any bank and go to the wardrobe tab, filter to weapons → pistols and you can preview every pistol skin in the game.
Its not bugged if you dc’ed. To get the achievement you have to collect all the baubles and defeat the final boss. If you dc or voluntarily leave you have to start over. If you talk to Betty Bauble that is at the end, she will let you know if you got all the ones you needed or not. This will let you know if you missed any before beating the final boss.
Map the 4 new zones on multiple characters and do the events. It doesn’t get much easier.
I used the Dulfy guide for W2 (all 3 zones) last weekend and it worked perfectly. My guess is that you simply missed at least one somewhere.
It’s just the way the map is designed. It “Locks” once the event completes, probably to prevent people from taxiing in just to get the rewards and farm pods. It might be a good idea to research why you are getting disconnected and fix it.
Do you have enough money to pay the listing fee?
Do you have the item in an invisible bag?
Is the item soul- or account-bound?Can you post a screenshot of the error when trying to list it on the TP?
Good luck.
Account bound? Good call. OP, did you right click and add to wardrobe? If so it boils down to you can’t have the skin and sell it to.
Being that the issue is in the nodes between your ISP and Anet the best way would be to contact your ISP. You will need to probably give them a copy of the ping plotter results. Depending on your ISP you might need them to escalate your call to their mid or upper tier support level. You might find that the first people you talk to will tell you there is nothing they can do.
It wasn’t an unnecessary post if you are having issues. You have a game you want to play and have issues. If it helps you, it makes it all that much more necessary. Post the results if you can’t figure out what it tells you.
There is probably nothing for Anet to fix. Everybody claims its not my internet connection. When you are having the lag issues run Ping Plotter, its free. That will show you where the problem is. It may not be your ISP or Anet, it may be one of the many nodes in between. If it is then you will still need to contact your ISP and ask them to help you get it fixed. If the issue was Anet related then it would affect every single play, just not a handful of random people.
Nope. If you want exclusive skins that are tied to exclusive achievements then do those achievements.
Try to fix the issue of disconnecting. It is more than likely a problem with your connection or PC. Unfortunately when the majority of the players do not have issues, it means its not them its you. If you want help fixing the issue post the details of the crash or run ping plotter and post those results. There are plenty of people here that are willing to help. If you are going to be defensive and say “My computers fine and I ran speed test” then posting in the forums is useless and you are better off submitting a support ticket.
It is the way it was designed. You can not leave or join tribulation runs that are in progress. I would suggest you look into why you were disconnected to avoid disconnecting next time. It also warns you when you start that you can’t join in progress.
Sounds like something on your end, I have every patch and I haven’t had to re-download the game in 3+ years.
Vial, globs and shards of mist essence have never been tradeable.
My point was, that there are multiple people in this post claiming that it is designed as “Level 80 only content” and that if you are not 80 you shouldn’t be there. It was designed for all players regardless of level.
I would like to interject a minor bit of technicality into this, Fractals are 80th level content, this is indisputable, as there are no, for example, 60th level fractal.
Now, I can understand the issue with Up-level mechanic offering a lot of confusion on this subject, in fact, on another topic I had a similar discussion on this very problem with content not having a deliberate and established deftness of intention by the Designers. But unlike that content, the Designers of Fractals, made it very clear exactly what Fractals were designed for by putting in Agony and Agony Resist, which requires level 80 gear, and more of it, to progress higher up the scale.
Ergo, just from that, we can safely surmise that the content was in fact designed for 80th level characters, and that the up-level mechanic in place to allow players who were curious and wanting to experience it with friends to do so, but there is a hard mechanic in place with Agony that should make it very clear, that this content was not in fact designed for anything less then an 80th level character.
Just wanted to put that out there.
You are right for the fractal levels that require AR, as that is the “drawn line” between level 80 designed content. The fact that it was specifically stated on release by the developers that it was “designed for players of all levels” is a deliberate and established deftness of intention. There is no confusion on the up-level mechanic, it up-levels characters that are not level 80, so that the lower level fractals (19 & under) can be experienced by all players.
Fractals are not only level 80 content, get that out of your heads. It’s the players claiming it to be. Being level 80 only makes them quicker. I provided proof its not designed for only level 80’s in a post above, where is yours?
It can be done by characters with level lower than 80, no one is denying that as far as I understood. What we are denying ist that it was designed for anything below level 80.
There is a gap between upscalded 80 characters and normal 80 characters.
1) You have no propper build when upscaled because you lack traits.
2) If you are below level 60 you have no access to Superior Runes.
3) If you are below level 62 you have no access to exotic gear.
4) If you are below level 80 you have no access to ascended gear.Upscaling works best if your gear matches the level of your character. A level 55 character for example gets the max out of upscaling if they wear level 55 gear.
Therefore a player would have to be above level 62 (Superior Runes + exotic gear) and also have said gear on the exact same level as they are currently to come close to a full exotic level 80 character in stats – if you ignore the build that is.That means an upscalded player in fractal is a subpar player at best, and permanently dying glasscannon with no damage at worst.
How high is the chance that if groups would allow <80 characters to join them in fractals to get the first categroy of players, and how high is the chance to get the second? I can guess, and it’s not pretty.
Yes, you can go in there … but you can’t expect other people to take you with them when they most likely will have to carry you.
My point was, that there are multiple people in this post claiming that it is designed as “Level 80 only content” and that if you are not 80 you shouldn’t be there. It was designed for all players regardless of level. If they want the pain and suffering thats up to them and the group, but it uplevels to 80 to help. Is it wrong for someone to randomly join a group as a level 50, no it’s not. It is also not wrong for a group to kick a level 50 because it’s their group. If a group wants to help a lower level player, that’s up to them. But people shouldn’t tell the OP they should stay out of fractals and as well, the OP shouldn’t get mad if he gets kicked from a group.

Plain and simple. Low level fractals are designed for all players regardless of level. It is the choice of the group to not allow the people they do not want in the runs.
ye, you live longer, but u deal 25% of an 80 lvl player
a player who is dead cant dps
fractals are made for lvl 80 characters
Absolutely not. From day one the low level fractals were intend to be accessible to all players regardless of thier character level. If it was intended for only level 80’s then they would not up-level them to 80. Orr, Malchor’s, Southsun, Dry Top, Silverwastes and the new HoT maps are not made for level 80’s. Any level character can do the low tier fractals. If you can 1-4 man any fractal then there is no reason a level 50 who is up-leveled can’t join. We helped 2 guildies level from 50-80 doing the 1-19 fractals.
OP, you just need to find some friends to play with, who will help you level.
From the November 14, 2012 news post:
“Unlike the other dungeons, your party can be any level. We’ve employed World vs. World-style sidekicking to make this dungeon accessible to all players. But keep in mind, our aim was to challenge level 80 players. Going in at low levels is not for the faint of heart!”
Will you pre-order the next expansion? [Poll]
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: Gator.5729
Yes, I will. I enjoy the game and as an adult I understand that problems happen and that some things must change to better the future. I already did the math, since HoT the price of the expansion has costed me roughly 0.33 cents a day. As the days go by that cost only gets lower. Most people easily waste that with nothing to show for it.
More content is always better, great decision. No matter what decisions are made and no matter what direction you go people will always find something to complain about.
Run ping plotter when you are having the issues, it’s a free download. That will show you where the problem is and help you determine who to contact regarding the issue.
Every gold seller I have ever received a spam from in the last 3 years had 17AP. Set the minimum for whispers to 25 or 30 AP. Maybe requiring the completion of the personal story to level 10, people would still be able to “say” and “map” chat if they need help. Maybe it won’t get them all but at least the majority.
You need to provide the crash details. Are you using the 64-bit client? If not use it.
Without posting any crash or disconnection details there is nothing anyone can do to help you. You can think the issues are with the Anet servers and refuse to look any further but it’s not. If it was a server issue everyone would be disconnected or crash, not just some. There is a drastic increase in system resources needed at meta events and world bosses due the the very large number of people that are there. This puts a huge strain on your PC that you don’t see at other times. Are you running the 32-bit client or the 64-bit client? If you are running a 64-bit OS then use the 64-bit client.
Anet can help me by getting better servers. And just because it works like that for some, doesn’t mean the problem isn’t on their end. Just the way some people seem to lag on some days and usually in large groups.
It has now been explained 3 different ways to you. You can either post the crash details or not. There is nothing else that can be done to help you. Good luck.
It’s not an fps issue and my character model limit is set to low. I just suddenly get kicked out and it occurs very often in Silverwastes. I always look at the used memory and CPU usage to make sure nothing bad will happen, yet I get kicked out anyway. The problem has been reoccuring for a few months now, but it was fine before, so I think IT IS a problem with anet servers. Unless it’s some kind of HUGE coincidence that I usually get kicked when boss appears or dies.

A quick google search tells me that it is a overheating issue with your CPU. This game if very CPU intensive whereas the other games tend to rely on your GPU for more of the video work.
The game is CPU intensive. If your video card isn’t running at a high enough load to trigger the boosting it just won’t and it is also a sign that it doesn’t need to. I’m running 780 GTX’s (SLI) and they never get above 60%.
The ping plotter graph is, well horrible. Nodes 3,8 & 9 have 100% packet loss which is very bad and you have some packet loss and latency issues at node 5. There is no response from nodes 3, 8 and 9 so its hard to determine where they are located. It looks like there may be some service outages or issues. Since you said this only started within the week I would try another run at ping plotter if you are still having the issue. If it produces the same results I would contact your ISP and ask for their help, its not their issue but they have the knowledge and ability to help. You could submit a support ticket to Anet but I don’t think there is much they will be able to do on this.
It is one of the perks/rewards for raiding, I would assume not.
When you are having the lag issues use /ip in the chat window to get the current IP of the map you are in. Download and run ping plotter (it’s free). Use the map IP as the target in ping plotter and it will show you all the nodes your connection takes to get to the game server. Any lines in orange, yellow or red is bad and indicates where the problem is. It may not be your ISP or Anet, but one of the points along the way. You can give the ping plotter results to your ISP and ask them to assist you in contacting the provider where the problem is indicated.

Especially in a game as large as this you could never really test EVERYTHING to make sure that nothing would break after you implement any sort of change. Not to mention, that Anet IMO have a pretty good track record in this regard. Just chill out and be patient, there’s plenty of other content you could play. Actually I wasn’t aware of this, will check this evening if it also doesn’t work for me.
To add to what you said, when Anet makes tweaks to the game to improve performance (memory usage, sound, graphics and such), there is absolutely no way for them to test the stability on our computers. There are hundreds or thousands of variations in the PC market. It would be impossible for them to test every combination of component/driver. So while you computer ran fine before the patch and not afterwards is an issue that you just need to work through. Support can help those people if they take the time to submit tickets and be patient.
Uhm, then I will contact the support, tell them post-patch this and that node started to be problematic and they tell me it is not their fault and I should contact my ISP. Happened to me before, and I don’t believe it. When everything runs fine and then there is some patch that ruins everything, it can’t be a coincidence.
Edit: well, anyway, I just logged in now, and it looks the problem is gone. Hopefully it stays like that
Good luck anyway.
If the latency issue is server related (game server) then it would affect everybody in the game not just random people. With that being the case then the issue lies somewhere between your PC and the game server. If there is nothing wrong with your ISP then the issue is on one of the many nodes between them. Posting a screen shot of your ping does nothing to help you or anybody. Ping plotter is the only way to determine where the problem is and who needs to fix it.
When you are experiencing the lag get the map IP, and run ping plotter using that IP as the target. That will show you where the problem is.
The servers sometimes have network issues, I mean they connect on their end just like we connect on ours. I have been playing this game long enough to know that if the issue is on their end, they a very quick to fix it.
Good to hear, just remember that when using ping plotter the connection starts at your PC then works its way to the server. You cant look at the numbers at the .ncsoft without looking at the hops before it. Bad hops in the middle of the route will influence the numbers at the end of the route.
Gold fractal weapons do drop from the mid-tiers daily chest. I got the shield about 3 days ago.
I’m having problems with high ping over here also.
Usually my ping is around 30-60, but I get random spikes to 1500 and even more. It’s so annoying to get disconected when I’m waiting for WvW queue.
Was monitoring my internet connection usage during those spikes, and both download and upload were on few kbps (I have 20/10 Mbps connection). So it’s not problem on my side for sure.Internet upload/download speeds have nothing to do with it, it’s ping and packet loss that matter. Run pingplotter (it’s free) when you are having the issues and it will show you exactly where the problem is. There are a lot more sides than just you and Anet, there could be 6-12 or more hops your connection takes. Those hops are not owned/operated/serviced by Anet or your ISP.
I downloaded and ran pingplotter and my 1000+ ping is being caused by 64.25.32.82.ncsoft.com…just started today and makes playing impossible.
That is a map instance that has more than likely closed. You need to run it while you are actually in that map and post the screenshot here. As was posted in the other thread, 100% packet loss at that node(IP) tells me the map was already closed when you tested that IP.

Being in a group is not protection from disconnecting. The only protection is researching what is causing the disconnection and fixing it. Being in a group only gives you the ability to rejoin the map you were on if there are still spots available, if the map fills up all you can do is keep trying to re-join.
You can try posting your crash details or disconnection details and maybe some one here can point you in the right direction.
That hop is one of the major hubs in the Dallas area, there are programs and tools that can optimize your route. Unfortunately, any path will most likely need to pass through that one. You can try contacting your ISP and provide them the pingplotter results, they have the ability to contact that provider or you can try to contact Level3 yourself. Google them for contact information.
