The odds of it having something to do with the patch/update are slim to none. Run pingplotter when you are having these issues and that will show you where the problem is. Internet “speeds” are kind of irrelevant unless you have less than a 1.5mb connection or are trying to stream other content or other computers while you are playing. It is the connection “quality” that is more important. Depending on where you are and which server you are connected to, your connection may pass through 8-12 different nodes. These nodes are owned by multiple companies and many times not controlled by your ISP or Anet. An issue at any one of the nodes can cause the issues you are having, pingplotter will show you each node and give you an idea of who controls/operates them.
Yes I did, I was adding to your comment.
Run pingplotter and see where the problem is.
OOM is an out of memory error, unfortunately the only fix is the 64-bit client. The game has grown and needs access to the additional RAM that the 64-bit client uses.
Have you ever considered to look at the Wiki about the Branded Devourer Ichor?
One of the devs stated that there is another champion which drops this item for HOPE (link)…
Reading patch notes also helps. Try Jan 12 notes.
Please take a minute and read the Dev post right above the 3 duplicate posts. There is another event that rewards the item you need for Hope. Yes, the event you a referring to gets bugged out, but there is another way of getting it. So your progress is not blocked, you just need to do a different event.
In all honesty, “100% Rep” is really a thing of the past. If you are doing any content as a guild group, then all participating members should be proud to show the guild tag. If not then I would question it. With the ability to join multiple guilds for various reasons (raiding, RP and such) trying to force the 100% rep is going to hurt the guild more than it will help it.
You need to craft the (5) deldrimor barrels and (5) spiritwood frames. The text is misleading.
Are you level 450 or higher on a Tailor, Huntsman, Leather or Armorsmith?
There is one, send an email with any screenshots you have to back up your claim along with the time, map server and anything else you have to exploits@arenanet.com
Correction: exploits@arena.net
Sorry, was typing from my phone and that darn auto correct/text perdition. Didn’t catch it.
There is one, send an email with any screenshots you have to back up your claim along with the time, map server and anything else you have to exploits@arenanet.com
Here you go, this is the NA one and the EU one. See the difference.
Your issues is with Telia.net not Anet. The ping plotter clearly shows where the problem is.
Title says it all ;_; I’m a lonely person looking for someone to work towards map completion with me (preferably friendly… jokes…). I’m currently on 36% map completion (I know, I still have a long way to go orz). Anyway, hmu
(Sorry if wrong section of the forum q.q but it looks correct)… so yeah, anyone want to lose their sanity with me?
What times are you on? Our guild is mostly EST, evenings and weekend. We are on NA. I enjoy mapping and create a new character just to do it again. I have 100% Tyria on 6 or 7 and 100% Hot on 5 or 6. If our times match up hit me up in game.
I have done DS countless times since release and can only say I as well as many others have never had a disconnection problem. I had a map close one time and that was it. The islands disappear due to events failing one island at a time. For all the islands to disappear it would have had to lag for 15 mins or so. Are you sure you didn’t disconnect and reload into a failed map? The has been know to happen.
Comcast reported wide spread outages earlier today, might be the issue. Level 3 has also been having some issues in the Dallas, TX area. Also when you are experiencing the ping issues run PingPlotter and it will show you exactly where the issue is. This will point you in the right direction for who you need to contact.
There are no more “populated servers” there is one map to start. As the maps start to fill up new instances of the map are created. As the map population starts to decrease, maps are closed. Use to LFG tool and find populated maps.
Any PVE map would be utterly boring if you walked into it the first time and knew where everything was. That is why there are achievements for “Exploring”.
If it makes you feel any better, not everyone is complaining. Those who play and enjoy the game daily rarely post on the forums. Some people enjoy complaining about every little thing they can find, heck some people complain about things they heard someone else complain about. This is a MMO there will always be content that not everyone is happy about. The good thing about this game is there are a lot of things to do, so if you don’t like one aspect, you have other choices.
Run ping plotter and post the results, odds are that its a problem with one of the nodes along your connection.
Your ping and latency in other applications is irrelevant. It is your ping to the Austin TX servers that GW2 uses that is important. When you’re in game and experiencing ping issues type /ip into the chat box, which will give you an IP. Then you can test your ping to that IP outside of the game and see if/where packet loss or latency are occurring.
^^^^ You will want to use PingPlotter or TraceRoute. If you want to post the results here someone may be able to assist you. If you want direct help from Anet support, you will need to file a support ticket using the support link at the top of this page.
Go back and read the patch notes from January 12th. If it is the ’Branded Devourer Ichor" that you need they added an alternate way of getting it. It was a month ago, not trying to be a smart***, but it helps to read patch notes.
I t has nothing to do with the Hero point you have active in the screen shot. You have to interact with the campfire.
Ascended does not drop from the forge.
It is also noted on the item pop-up before you buy it.
The game works fine on my 2 year old PC. You can’t just post “It can’t be my issue” without some crash reports or ping plotter results. There are thousands of people who play this game daily with no issues. They are playing the same game and connecting to the same servers and doing the same events you are.
You need to provide more information if you expect to get any help.
I would say it will never happen. When you can convert gold to gems it would defeat the purpose of selling an expansion and the day you can buy character skills with real money the games becomes pay to win.
A good number of the mobs that spawn during large events do not count as individual XP. The kills and damage you do is counted towards the event completion XP.
Slayer achievements only advance on creature kills that award XP.
Apparently Anet takes your account security more serious than you do. It is just another layer of security. It is one extra click and it takes less than a second to do it. I do it on my alt account everyday. It is there if you ever decide to use it.
The game is in a very bad way at the moment with lots of people having issues from high pings, lag, crashes, fps isuues and so on.
I logged in yesterday and didn’t even have time to type “hi all” in guild chat before I crashed. Everything was fine until 26th patch.
I have taken a break until Anet sort it out.
Actually, most of the “high ping and lag issues” are unrelated to Anet and they can’t even fix it. It’s completely out of their hand. It’s people who don’t actually understand how the internet works that blame Anet.
Well its funny you say that when my game ran fine until after the 26th patch, no crashes, hardly any lag, no ping issues. Now it runs like a bag of kitten.
I know how the internet works and I also know my PC is fine and so is my connection.
When there are more people playing that do not have any issues, it’s hard to blame the game servers. There are so many different pieces of hardware and software in every computer us gamers use. It would be virtually impossible for Anet to make every little change compatible with everything, while they try, it will just never happen. So its a fact of life with online games that there will always be people with issues. If people are so sure that everything on their end is perfect then submit a support ticket and you will get as much help as Anet can provide. They may find an issue with the game or they may find an issue with your computer.
Whats funny is how people think that their connection is straight to the game server. Depending on where you are located there could be anywhere from 5-12 (or more) nodes that your connection passes through before it gets to Anet. All those nodes in between are owned and controlled by a 3rd party, which neither Anet or your ISP have any control over.
Simply posting in these forums and saying my ping is high and my game crashes will not get anything fixed. Post crash reports and ping plotter results and the other members will try to point you in the right directions. There are so many people who get tunnel vision and say nothing is wrong on my end and they refuse to listen to any of the advice posted. There are occasional connection problems on Anet’s end and they are very quick to fix them, 99.9% of those who have the same ping/crash issues multiple times a day, day after day have problems outside of Anet’s control.
Best bet is to run ping plotter. Much more detailed and accurate, it will show where the problem actually is. Speedtest would be pointless.
All instances probably fall into a specific filter that allows them to just disable gliding in all “Instances” period. If gliding was to be enabled in certain instances they may have to rework all of them to disable it.
There are 2 different stories. As you stated personal story, these are part of the core game and do not require any masteries to complete. Then there is the living story, season 2 and Heart of Thorns. Season 2 does not require any masteries to complete. Heart of Thorns will be where masteries start coming into play. Depending on how far you want to take the masteries will determine how long it will take.
As with anything in the game, the fastest way to achieve anything is just playing. Just mapping, completing events and killing stuff will level the masteries. There really is no speed leveling. There are certain places people will sit and repetitively farm the same thing over and over because it gives them the feeling they are gaining XP faster.
nope
15character
As stated, Anet doesn’t get involved in guild politics. Your only options are to start a new guild, join another or hope the guild leader comes back and promotes one of the active players.
Same kitten here
. Ping plotter shows packet loss somwhere between telia sonera and ncsoft servers.
It’s not just somewhere between, ping plotter will show you the node and the IP address of where the packet loss is as well as who the host of that node is. That is who will need to fix the issue. If it’s not Anet’s server (highly doubtful as it would affect every single GW2 player) there would be nothing they can do to fix it.
Just make them able to be use in the forge.
I have suggested this before as well. However, they are an item that can come from purchases with real money and they are a rare drop from the BL chests, so I think they should be changed to a rare quality. This will allow at a minimum a rare quality return from the forge.
Run ping plotter and determine where the issue is. If you don’t know how to read the results post them here and someone will help you. The odds are it is an issue with one of the nodes your connection passes through.
It really sounds like a billing issue. I would contact your bank again and verify there are no issues with the charges. The bank may have seen it as a double charge instead of 2 legitimate charges and then taken fraud steps. If they still report everything is fine, all you can do is wait on your support tickets to be answered. Do not submit another ticket for either account, this will only slow the response down. If you have additional information for support just add it to the current tickets by responding to the emails.
Just remember, Silverwastes contributes to “Tyria” masteries not Maguma.
To everyone that only posts a picture of their options to show what their current ping is at:
You do realize how useless that piece of information is. For all anyone knows, your computer could be running a scan and slowing everyting down.
If you really want to do something, you need to trace your internet connection to Anet’s servers and see where the problem is. Most of the time, it’s not at Anet’s server, or their ISP so it isn’t actually an issue on them.
The easiest one to use is ping plotter. Google it and when you are having the lag issues, run it and see where the problem is. If it really is happening at Anet’s servers/ISP, you can send it to them so they can look into it. A picture of high ping is going to get you no where, and it won’t get fixed.
Everyone who has ping issues PLEASE read the quoted post by Ellieanna.
Don’t just post my ping is ???, its unplayable. This does nothing to help you. If you care enough to post, then why not care about getting it fixed? Run “Ping Plotter” and post the results. That is the ONLY way to determine where the problem is.
If you look at nodes 6,7,8,9 you will see the packet losses and nodes 7-12 is where your ping goes nuts. Your ping jumps up to 330 at node 12. This shows that the problem is not with Anet servers. Since you said you aren’t great with networks I would contact your ISP and provide that information to them. They should be willing to help you contact them. You can also submit a support ticket to Anet and maybe they can assist you.
I’m not recommending anything but other players use a service called WTFast or something. It supposedly reroutes your connection to provide better pings.
When you are seeing those high pings, run ping plotter or trace route and see where the issue is. I’m willing to bet the issue is at one of the node points between your ISP and Anet. If that is the case then it is not an Anet issue and you can contact your ISP to see if they can assist you with contacting the owner/operator of that node.
Try posting in one of the many other topics regarding this.
And again the problem came back to me. 1500ping. i bought this game and i want to have a good product.
Then run ping-plotter or trace-route and determine where the problem is. Once you know where the problem contact the right company. If it was a problem with Anet every single player would have the problem.
There may be a chance that the actual achievement may have been updated when they added the completion lists. I would hit both areas again and see if it triggers, if not submit a support ticket.
There are actually (2) jumping puzzles there. One for the Vista and one for the other. After the vista check in the corners of the mountain walls you will find the entrance to another puzzle that will give you the other explorer area you need. Based on the direction you are facing in your screen shot, it should be behind you.
They are account bound on acquire. You have buy the recipe and craft them for yourself.
The game is evolving, new items are being created as the game grows. Anet is being generous and offering a limited refund for those who want it. With the unlimited salvage kits, they are account bound, you could have always choose to move them from character to character. It was your choice (convenience) to buy multiple sets when you didn’t have to. The shared inventory slots are also convenience items. If you have unlimited salvage kits on every character you don’t need the shared inventory slot for them.
As for the continue coin, it was another voluntary purchase. I lived in the SAB when it was out, I never bought one or even needed it. I still have the regular continue coins left over sitting in my bank. As far as I know Anet has never said that SAB will never come back, its just got coding issues with the current game. What if they refund the coins today and plans change and SAB returns 6 months from now? What if they decide not to offer the continue coin again? Everyone that got refunded will want it back.
Not to be rude, but unless you own Anet or something, they are going to fix “your” bugs because you said too. Numerous people have completed most if not all of the achievements, so is it really a major bug? Try providing a little more information as to which achievements they are and what you think the bug is.
The longest glide is not bugged, I just ran a guild mate through it yesterday. It is a very tough achievement. I would recommend finding a video on it (Dulfy), you have to do everything just right or you will not get it.
As for the Hot achievements, I have just recently completed everything but 3 of the ones in Act4. They all worked without issues for me. A lot of them you have to complete on a second run through the story. There is only one that I know of in ACT 2, avoid traps, that can be a little buggy. Check the Dulfy guide for that one, there is a little work around for it.
Try previewing them before you buy them. Dyes look different on different types of armor.
