Hey Jia Shen. May I ask what server you are on? I’ll see if I can get some friends to help you with dungeons. The message suppression is a real pain most times, even when I’m just generally answering a lot of questions in map chat. Normally the better way is to talk in front of the dungeon entrance maybe you’ll have better luck?

As again I could get some people you could group up with. If you’re on Gunnar’s Hold or Aurora Glade I can definitely help with that. If you’re on AG feel free to add me and we could do a dungeon maybe tomorrow.

I’ll be there to give her a BIG congratz! Just hope I don’t miss the fun! I may not be there but I sure am gonna get a word in.

Hmm. You get no influence even playing solo?! That is weird, I think that may be the reason as when you are playing solo you don’t even get any influence… that may be root of the problem. I assume you have contacted support straight away. A patch on the game is coming shortly so hopefully it is included as well.

Also recommend creating a topic in technical issues or somewhere appropriate in the forums so it can be sorted asap.

Hmmm… that kinda sad if it goes because when I’ve deleted a char the account bound items were mailed… interesting. Now may not be the case?

Hmmm… I know this might be a rude question but… Did both of you represent the guild? This is a common one that is sometimes overlooked. When I complete P.Stories influence is earned for the guild.

Not sure but maybe both players have to be there for the conclusion of the mission? Like when you have the little talks etc. that lead onto the next mission. After the quest section ends 20 influence is gain for my guild (2 man team) so not completely sure…

Hey Direksone have you tried checking your mail? Sometimes particular items are mailed to other existing characters, however it may be for account-bound items only. As dyes are character-bound this may not be the case. Unfortunately nothing can be done about it.

If you really liked the dye you can normally buy dyes on the TP for a reasonable price.

Hey there Bubbawny, I know what you mean.

I started out as your lowly player but have found there are some great people in this community. The thing is… you just got find them! Let me say, boy was it tough trying to find some players with the same way of thinking but would actually stick around. That’s a different story. Sure you could add some new players on your contact list but sometimes if you said ‘hi’ again they’d forget who you were etc. (Not saying they were rude in anyway, far from it in fact)

You just have to keep trying. Finding players that will stick by you is quite hard but well worth it!

Personally I don’t really recommend to advertise guild recruitment on these forums (Your thread gets lost in a matter of seconds even with constant bumping) The best way I have found is to just make some good friends first then suggest the guild thing. More likely then not they sign up.

Just help a fellow player out and you don’t where it leads. Finding a buddy to pair up is the first but hardest step in my opinion. I have my bro to buddy up with whenever, but it’s always good to add more.

Check out Operation: UNION. Quite a handy little place if you want to ask some questions and get some really good advice. People over there are overloaded with awesomeness!

The most important thing IS picking a server in my opinion. It depends, what sort of time zone are you in? Based in America/EU? Or something of the other?

America:

Tarnished Coast (High to Full currently)
Yak’s Bend

If you’re on an EU based server why not try Gunnar’s Hold or Aurora Glade?
Both have really cool people abduction is both very active. GH leads more to the laid back but more people are willing to socialise and help strangers. AG is slightly more serious (suited to more dungeons etc. That sort of play) but is still very friendly.

Why not have a look at Operations: Union? It has others looking to team up with people on your serverl. Why not take a look?

I understand that you have taken these into consideration. If you do go to an EU server. GH is excellent. For an American server how about Sanctum of Ral ? /(Rol?) I have some buddies saying that it’s a really friendly server.

@ Sasha I’m sorry to hear that. I seem to have heard that from others at FC. It seems the server have lost its spark?

Like bri has said GH is a really great server but I’m not sure with your game times that it might be suitable as you might not see the other members of GH company.
AG is also an EU server.

Just take those into consideration. As always don’t give up!

Okay folks! OPERATION: UNION is picking up some momentum.

THIS IS NOT A GUILD! It is merely a HUB to chat to friendly people for Q&A’s or to try and find people to game with on your server when you’re feeling lonely.

Thanks to all that are involved in the project so far. We look for players of all experience just a rule that you kind, honest and willing to lend a hand!

So it looks like this topic is slowing down now. At the moment I haven’t had much experience with my new home world. However I’d like to thank the many players expressing interest in OPERATION: UNION.

Hey Sheesh about dungeons. I can’t offer you much of a guild atm but me and my bro are trying to look for some people to run with. Also on AG. Just trying to find fellow gamers on AG due to server switch.

Okay now be prepared for a guild recruitment swamp.

It is a lot of hard work. I had some alright guilds in previous MMO’s and just decided to start one for GW2.

You want a goal, an outcome of where you want it to be.
The best is to start with people you know.
Try NOT to advertise in map chat. It just puts people off.
Just get out there meet people if you click and they’re looking for peopl to game with you can SUGGEST your guild. Do not force it upon them.

Try not to aspire having a guild with hundreds of players, why?
It can get out of hand. You want people.you can trust a tight knit group of few is always better. It’s given me a lot of headaches.

At the moment I’m in the same boat. I’m not even trying to make a guild. Just something to others find other players.

So yea, don’t give up buddy and best of luck to you,
