Yes you are correct with weapons.

There used to be a work around for armour but due to a previous update wearing different cultural armour is not possible.

Yes: You can use different cultural weapons

@Messup I recommend Gunnar’s if you are on more regularly you can team up with Lexy then! If you’re mainly on Fri to Sun Aurora is where I’m at. There’s normally 2/3 of us as I am normally gaming with my bro at least.

Hey Lanky. You can really go into dungeons whenever even if you are slightly under leveled. However you might not find a group nice enough. I did my first Story at lvl 27.

You are correct dungeons have certain lvl requirements:

AC Story: 30 Explore: 35
CM Story: 40 Explore: 45

And such.

Normally you can type in LFG (Looking for group) and what ever dungeon and what type and the path (Story does not have a path)

E.g LFG AC EX P1

That would mean: Looking for group, Ascalonian catacombs, Explore Mode, Path 1
Helps to tell the party it’s your first time run or something too.

To be honest never stick to a certain weapon in dungeons depending on a situation a different combo of skills or weapons maybe better suited to that situation.

For now go with what you find comfortable!
Also be careful about going full dps, you want at least some toughness due to possible one shots from mobs.

Ahh the headset choice. I don’t wear glasses so cannot speak about that part.

I always recommend TurtleBeaches, I still have the old X11’s very comfortable have a padded rest and well padded around the headphones. Due to the size of the head phones your glasses will be passing through the headphones. In between your head and padding.

Trittons I am not so sure of. For the price I personally think they are overpriced and there are quite a few reviews on some of the models reliability.

I personally recommend a wired Headset. Wireless headsets eat through batteries like anything and is not what you want when a headset cuts out in between a session.

I have not had any experience with any 1 earred headphones at this point in time.

As the others said, I enjoy the game. Everything else is a bonus.

Mining Ores can be a slow process. Yea, not sure if it’s changed but gold is in regular demand due to jewelers it always seems to sell fairly quickly for me and for a reasonable price. For most profit/time go with Ori Ores as many crafters are after the high end ore now,

Yea Orr farming is probably pretty much what you do now. Go for the chain events but tag every single mob you can. Only really works if you’re with multiple people otherwise you get stomped. After that you have lots of drops.

Yea try Fractals as if I recall correctly you may have a chance of an Ascended Drop too in the higher Tiers.

Yea like DEK said Magic Find increases the chance of better drops but only for drops it does not effect chests. Also folks are debating whether anything over 100%MF changes anything. I’m not sure as I do not use MF and have not much problem picking up regular rares. I guess GW has been good to me, :P

Yes you are correct. You can only talk to the guild you are currently representing as shown by having only 1 guild chat option, which is pretty dumb.

The only way to talk to both at the same time would to represent on and off, that would be such a pain though.

I’ve made quite a bit of money and haven’t even hit lvl 80 yet.

Flipping TP is always an option: This does require close management of the market trend though. Flipping dyes is the usual, I managed to take advantage of the mass bot ban leading to dye price inflation. Making at least 1g per dye bought all the big dyes which rocketed.

Farming Orr: Boring but reliable but oh so boring

Fractals: Surprisingly fairly good. You can get some of the rarer mats from there.

Regular dungeons: This can be hit and miss at times. The higher leveled dungeons you can get rares etc. salvage for etcos etc. This depends on the team. Could be good or bad.

Node farming: Ori. Ores and Gold ore is always a good bet.

Don’t know much else.

edit: To Arc’s response you can run AC very quickly. The cash reward maybe higher than the other dungeons but they do not have a very higher chance for better goodies from what I have discussed.

Yep I completely understand at this time because of the lack of guesting I have no quarrel with this sort of stuff and many people join other guilds for different reasons I never like to force people they don’t want to do!

Yes it’ll be fine to a character for your reason. The only ‘requirement’ is represent if with other Unionists, sounds fair right?

Hopefully with guesting this will kick up even more dust.

I’ve talked to some leaders about that and that was one of the reasons and that they were more of the hardcore type wanting lots of activity but I stated it was a casual helper guild.

Organisation is a slight problem. I myself thought we’d have guesting by now.
Hopefully my bro can get round to the website to organise this angry mob.

Was looking.for.something like the Dark Helm without the horns.

The V and R are a pain in the collective butt for unprepared groups and big wigs that think they can take everything on by themselves.

If that happens I get the rest of the group to fall back while the idiot racks up a repair bill!

@ Noppy use Nexus Mod Manager! I use Skyrim Nexus but I’m used to manual installs or using NMM. The instructions are nice and eay to follow.

Yea I can take you through some dungeons if you want. I now normally run with my bro and his friend. We’re mainly running AC and CM to level up chars and alt.s.

I’m on Friday to Sunday around 1900/2000 GMT.

@Helequin posted a bit of PvE advice in your thread. WvW is a bit of a mess like in a real battle build doesn’t really have that much of an effect for me as it’s just gang up on one dude rinse repeat.

Nice detailed post gives me a great insight to what you’re looking for.

Greatsword ranger is fun with Quickening Zypher. I started a Ranger, Sword and Dagger, with all traps. The pet can range from good to down right useless due to the weird pathing and AI. You can try sword, the rooting might annoy you but is great at sticking to targets and applying tonnes of cons.

Guardian is also another good choice however it’s short comings is the lack of range. For range you rely on sceptre. I understand you said melee but at times you’ll switch up.
Great support and defense. There’s also a spec that allows to apply constant blinds training with blind on virtues allowing for maximum face tank.

Warrior is my main. I also have the idea like you. I find it very fun. Mine specializes in group support using Battle Standard for multi rally. I switch out weapons on situation.
Skills are switched depending on if more support is required for bosses/ face taking or high spike damage. I am able to play a Jack of All Trades, for some reason my toughness is something less to be desired but I can handle that.

Face Tank: Mace, Shield, Off hand sword, Endure, Shake it off, Signed of Stamina
Control: Hammer, Sword and Board, Rifle, Bolas, Kick, Stomp
Burn: Greatsword and Axes, Signed of Rage, Great Justice

I enjoy being the support/tank as I can survive a lot of punishment even with the lack of toughness gear currently. I will play the Lead type that has skills that benefits the group first but also myself.

I don’t bother that much with high spike damage that much as I play Sword and Board mainly I just apply my stacks then laugh as I wait till the thing bleeds to death as I will always out last them.

I always play dungeons so I am mainly team orientated as to solo PvE play but faceroll just as fast as the next guy.

All guild benefits are server tied. If he moved but you are on the original server you still have access to all the benefits such as a guild stash if you had one.

If you all moved then yes, you will have to start again. All guild related stuff are server tied.

If you are still on the original server I am stumped as our Operation: Union has multiple guild stashes all over different servers and they are tied to that particular server.

Patience, determination, motivation, communication, but most of all a kind and helpful demeanor!

Team Lead:

1. Assess
2. Plan
3. Execute

If all else fails: ADAPT.

Trust me it’s shorter to take your time and explain stuff to the group than to rush in without a plan it’ll take much longer and cause so much frustration. :P

I quite like playing the TP when I have time. Finally a time where my Statistic Maths comes in handy! Not spent doing boring exercises, I enjoy the Calculus stuff more as it’s interesting.

However TP requires a lot of close and careful watching however the predictions I did make were pretty good like the gold dye/dye ones.
Made like 5g should’ve used all my money!!! I only really use l what I can afford to lose.

Statistics boring subject but has a real life use.

That’s interesting. I flipped gold dyes 39s to 1g got lucky with that.
I don’t really have enough time to watch the TP. I’d rather just have some fun and do dungeons. Good enough gold for me. 1/2g minimum everyday for the 3 days I play for 2hrs.

@DEK yea. It will 5 years! It’s not thaaaaat long. The test is just a good indicator of how everything going so far. If I do the same in the actual exams in Jan, I’d be pretty grateful.

I’ll be taking a deferral anyway as I missed out on some things (like leaning to drive!)
I mean the experience so far has been amazing but I think I over did it as had lots of things related to Med, this year was full of Med related stuff.
