Based on the timestamp, this happened mid afternoon NA, it’s rarely that busy at that point in the day.

all 3 servers had large groups going later in the evening and in the mornings there’s been pretty big battles between nsp and ioj.

I think a better way to do it would to increase the WxP each kill gives BUT divide up the WxP based on damage done or how many people get credit.

The choice to not have the game work like that was very specific, XP and loot work the same way.

the reason behind this is their design philosophy that “you should never be angry that a teammate comes to help you”. They don’t want to penalize a player because he received help, help he might not have felt he needed and/or wanted.

he’d probably tell you that is a very childish view of both war and of what a man truly is.

It would not be close at all since NA’s primetime follow EU’s closely while getting a much longer period before EU takes anything back.

When matchups are balanced, players complained that they’re stale; when they vary, the players complain that they are unbalanced.

it’s pretty much always going to be one or the other.

those complaints always mention “this is making players quit, wvw is gonna die, etc..” type predictions.. well it’s been a year and it’s still going strong regardless

a. You wont have to. Many games offer a “Decline all duel invites” toggle option. It will be like dueling was never implemented in the first place.

expletives, insults, general harassment, etc…

there’s a reason you can’t message opponents or know who they are in WvW.

yes and no, the number of guilds that can field a cohesive 20player team on a given night is a very small number, and they’re mostly on the same servers.

Naw, the overwhelming majority of WvW players couldn’t care less about GvG. I doubt most players outside the top3 tiers even know it exists.

I’m not hating on the format, but it’s getting a little out of hand with all the threads claiming it’s the “real WvW”tm.. you’re a vocal minority, quit acting like you speak for everyone. I didn’t say never queue upgrades, I said don’t queue the upgrade if you cannot afford to. you’re the one complaining about going broke, I’m trying to help you avoid that. Also, there’s a lot of players that order upgrades asap, without considering if it’s even the right strategic decision.. so by all means leave the responsibility to others.

and if you’re a primarily WvW player, what does it matter if other players elsewhere are getting 10g/hr, you don’t need 10g/hr anyway.

I’m not a fanboy, I just realize that my gameplay doesn’t suffer in any way because other players happen to be making more gold than me.

I wonder.. if an overflow shard was created for a zone before the event in the main zone started, would that not cause the overflow to not get the event?

ie: if ppl are predicting which zone is next and they jump the gun on rushing to it, they might be blocking themselves from getting the event.

Why is it that I have to go broke if I want to play WvW but the PvE people this last few weeks have amassed enough cash to buy precursors? Change the supply camp claimers to champs and increase the quality drops in WvW.

1) Champs as camp supervisors if a horrible idea, making camps more difficult to solo will only raise the cost of average WvW play.

2) quality of drops/rewards in WvW has been going up steadily for the last 6 months. I’ve already gotten 2 ascended rings from rank chests and average about 3-4 exotics at week from straight drops.

3)through rank chests, badge drops and yes, even the puzzles, siege blueprints are trivial to obtain in sufficient numbers. unless you’re dropping 20+ rams a day, you no longer need to spend any money to stay supplied. You can even SELL your unused siege blueprints on the TP now, yet more income for WvW players.

based on this, I don’t see how any player, even a total noobie, can actually go broke in WvW since the ONLY sinks are armor repair costs and upgrades.

so don’t die as much and let other pay for upgrades if you’re struggling that much to keep your gold count from dropping.

if there is one, it’s at least 7 digits.

so unless you think you have enough jugs to carry you over 9.99 million karma.. go right ahead and chug them.

I find this attitude really dismissive. I could just as well say that most people chose WvW over PvE because they just like picking on upleveled noobs, they can’t fight real mobs so they chase bad players.

I know this is really really hard for some of you to accept but : SOME PLAYERS LIKE PVE, it doesn’t make them inferior and it doesn’t make their motivations for playing any less pure than your own.

I don’t really see where OP is coming from though, outside of when confusion was overly strong, condition-based builds have always been much weaker than power based ones.

opening them “at once” has zero impact on what the bags will give you.

Why weren’t you opening them as you received them?

PvE uses the same settings for culling as the WvW ones

if they disappear and you still got xp/loot, it’s because they got DCed (or hit alt+f4)

it’s one of the first things you learn not to do in game design.

Will take a bit to get used to but so far I prefer the new colours, they stand out much better on the map

I have pride in my guild because we’re a fun bunch of players and we’re always ready to help each other out.

We definitely better guild management tools.. but I firmly believe that guild/player housing is bad for the community so I’d prefer if they never add that. ditto for any measurement/comparison between players and guilds, this stuff is never productive.

if you’ve been saving up jugs for a while, it’s pretty safe to assume that you’ll have more Karma then you could ever need, with or without the the boost.

That just points out how flawed and extremely vulnerable to abuse their restore system is.

ex: player A logs in from a different IP than usual and gives out all his items/gold to a few collaborators. then player A contacts Anet claiming he’s been hacked.. following your idea: they “give back” all his stuff.

except that all his original items are still out there in the economy and his collaborators can slowly funnel that wealth back to him. the game hasn’t been restored, they just duplicated his previous inventory.

player A has effectively doubled his wealth.
