Does one have to buy a new guild armor skin each time you get a new armor with better stats to use on your character?
yes please, would love this as well
The problem with that is that you would lose the extra stats you get from the offhand weapon as well, which mean to achieve any sort of real usefulness they would have to be INSANELY more powerful, leaving the 1 and 2 skills on your weapon useless by comparison, since those cant be buffed to the same extend as those can be used by dual wielders too
Yet is the only one that can be used underwater, so you are kinda forced to pick it up
I didn’t like Aion’s CC at all, because you could create the weirdest freaks of nature with it. I’m very glad the GW2 CC doesn’t allow this.
And it allows for actual beauty rather than all the so-so characters I see :P
Whats wrong with “weird freaks of nature”? If people like their character that way, why not let them have it? One could call Charr freaks of nature because they’re big talking cats/wolfs or something ~
You ask what’s wrong with them? How about this and this ?
It’s just an incredible eyesore to see characters like this running around. It’s a dead-sure immersion breaker, for one thing, and it just completely messes up the art style of the game because the characters don’t fit into the world any more. The charr are a defined race integrated into the art style of the game. That’s something very different.
Oh, and the GW2 CC does allow for actual beauty (by the way … eye of the beholder and all that … ). I’m completely happy with my characters and wouldn’t want them to look any other way, I could achieve the exact look I wanted every single time.
and those are not even the worst I seen in Aion, what about the characters that have heads that are like 2 times the size of their bodies? THEN we talk outright disgusting
That said specially hair and face options i would like a LOT more, though i think body options as pretty good, for once i dont want to see those ugly characters you could make in Aion, and also giving too much freedom there would make you able to totally kitten up the races compared to eachother. I dont want to see giant Asuras runing around or tiny Norn’s after all
you should be able to actually activate 4 signets (3 utilities+heal signet)
I play a Thief and i agree on heartseeker needs to be looked in to asap.
Leap:
450 Range x 4 × 1.25(Speed Signet) = 2250 Range.
so much range a Thief can cover in 4 seconds.
I properly specced thief can spam 6-7 of them. Covering a distance of 3375 to almost 4000.
I encounter alote of Thief in WvW and Spvp that use heartseeker to get away from deaths. Combine it with Stealth and it becomes a [b] Legendary [b/] skill.
so yeah… you can move around quickly, but when you actually get there and any enemy stand in front of you, then what are you going to do? auto-attack him?
actually I tend to use the 5 skill almost exclusively not the block one, with the Opportunist trait(15 pt critical strike) I gain enough initiative that I can usually not spend it fast enough, however yes the spear seems a bit boring at times, yet brutally effective against most stuff. Only really uses harpoongun against bosses and such
maybe blindness, or even better daze the thief?
wiki can be edited by ANYONE and as such is not always a reliable source, so instead you should be going more out from the tooltip, as you said it listed “Lowering the targets defense” and condition dmg is not affected by defence (armor+toughness) hence makes sense that vulnerability don’t affect it either. due to that fact actually condition dmg would be severely overpowered if combined with vulnerability, as there would be no counter against it, making it maybe possible to almost do more dmg per tick than you could with a direct attack, using the right build
Also, anyone knows what sPvP and Fumble means?
For sPvP, I’m assuming server PvP, but just want to be sure. If it’s server PvP, that’s WvW or what? o.o
sPvP is Structured PvP, meaning the battles you can enter from heart of the mists
WASD is the default control for just about every game out there, and A+D are always strafe, not turn, except in a few MMOs (because of some misguided attempt to be gaming-noob friendly).
unfortunately it seem to be ad for turning not in a few MMO’s but about every single one, and is one of the first things i got in and change to strafe when I start an MMO
For highest possible dps you need to mix the right amount of precision with as much power as you can since due to the way probability works it will incur a diminishing return the higher you get, personally (though im thief but that does not really matter for this) i try to get enough precision for about 50% crit, yes that is every 2nd hit in general that will crit after that imo i don’t think you gain a lot more unless you can somehow reach 100% or very near it, but that would take INSANE amount of precisions. On the other hand since a crit is a multiplier of your dmg precision is useless if you don’t have enough power to back it up (or later on you can get some +critical dmg stuff as well)
edit: Shimond where you get the burning applies dmg instantly from? burning being a damaging condition is dmg over time http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Burning

if you are talking about max number of character slots, I don’t think anyone knows, however, why would you need more then 8?
1 class of each race maybe? so that would be 40 :P
I certainly hope so, my Human is the size of a bloody Asura.
That is not possible, even the highest asura will only be about half the size of the lowest possible human or so
if you are long enough to actually have trait points it should be pretty obvious if you actually read the tooltip of the trait manuals
