Is there a way to obtain the Carapace Leg Armor any other way other than completing the story step in this episode?

I completed the story on one character who now has the legs, boots, gloves, and shoulders…

My other character, however, only has the boots and gloves…not sure I really want to go through the story again…

I agree with Rialen, it really is a QoL kind of thing, and seems pretty nice. Especially for me…seems like a lot of times when I finally sit down to play, 5 minutes in, my son asks me to come help him with something, and I end up having to log off.

My Asura, Little Ace

I enjoyed it for the most part. Took me a few tries to get use to being Caithe in the story instances, and I am pretty sure it was a stroke of luck on a few parts that I didnt die on that Vorp intance.

The jumping puzzle was enjoyable – pretty easy paced for a JP. It does get a bit stale running around in Silverwastes right now, repeating the same events…but hey, I have a ton of keys and shovels, and the gold-getting has been great

I really enjoyed this JP…was easiest on my asura and didn’t have many camera issues. I made it to the 7th marker (I think) – where the big cast iron pot is – before I had to pull up Dulfy’s video, but it was fun.

@Shiren Felicia stays pretty busy between her Geek and Sundry channel and other obligations…my guess is they haven’t been able to iron out a time block.

+1 to OP, Dougal would be a perfect addition to this LS…especially if we are going to Ascalon and dealing with Char…

What if both the theories are correct…It could be both a map of RoT and a diagram with the Pale Tree at its center…Abbadon could still be dead and his story can indeed be completely over AND the Pale Tree could still be located over the center of his realm…A tree feeds istelf through its roots, right? Both theories on the diagram could be one in the same.

What if the Pale Tree’s roots are tangled around the dead body of Abaddon – siphoning whatever is left from him to feed iteslf so that it can continue bringing ‘good’ into the world in the form of Sylvari…converting it somehow.

And the Nightmare court’s aim is to hault the ‘good’ and somehow force evil back down through the roots toward the Realm of Torment…(They do try to corrupt the dream in a way)…not necessarily to bring back Abbadon…but for something else…some other purpose.

Just a though.

Even if you can’t do the jumping puzzles, you can still complete the entire story. You are not gated out of content simply because you can’t jump.

Have you even tried going through the story line? They pretty much hold your hand through the whole thing :/ Kas even opens portals for you.

I have really enjoyed this patch, looking forward to more. This has been a definite improvement over season 1.

Its in the EoD book, I think, when they are walking in the desert…the single grain of sand is an illusion that basically fades away when they stop searching for it.

That’s actually wrong, because there is no lore to support his death. You can’t take everything on the wiki to be fact. But, if you can find an actual piece of lore stating he’s dead…then by all means…

well…they did seem to want to point out that Season 2 journal tracker was supposed to come after the personal story, (and of course after season 1), in the timeline of things…so I guess anything is possible.

Actually, the last time we saw Livia, she was with Prince Edair in Sea of Sorrows…Both are still MIA…if she still has the scepter…they could potentially both still be alive using its magic…we have gap in the line of rulers between Edair and Jennah…Edair would easily be in his 70’s currently…it was Livia’s sole purpose in SoS to protect the royal line of Kryta.

…wonder if their will be any more letters from E…

I’m pretty sure Cobiah refers to her as the ‘leader’, however, I have been known to over contextualize things – I will try and find the passage.

Either way, she and Edair have gone poof somewhere in Tyria…I think they are both still alive, and together. (And if so, and they are using the scepter to prolong their life, I think it is quite possible he could be the mysterious ‘-E’)

I do not think it is simple coincidence that Marjorie’s story was released on the official news page just days before Sea of Sorrows was released for purchase.

She was actually the leader of the Shining Blade in Sea of Sorrows, who’s soul purpose was to protect the Krytan line (in SoS, that was Edair – who’s whereabouts and/or fate are also unknown.)

70 unnaccounted for years go by, and Jennah is now the Queen of Kryta…

With the magic of the Scepter, they both could feesibly still be alive…somewhere.

I wish that story had been in game :/ So dark and creepy.

1.) Lore delivery within the actual game world – most of us are starved for this!

2.) Story telling within the Living Story – the stories really need to be fleshed out a bit even if this means 3 weeks per update, instead of two. I want to feel invested in these stories! I want to feel angry with villains and I want to empathize with their targets!

3.) Accoutwide wardrobes for skins – I would even pay gems for the ability to have a wardrobe to store all of the town clothes and skins so they won’t take up valuable bank space!
