this is a huge flaw of megaserver as it is now. i just tested it out and my party couldnt get into the same map in PvE Snowden Drifts, which is ghost town even with megaserver ……
That’s because, deep in your heart, you don’t like your party members. The game knows that… oO
good point blix…..just give me 2 gold to shut me up. you can just earn it back in the time it took you to post a useless post.
Or you spend the time you are wasting in this forums on leveling your thief to get your traitpoints. Just sayin.
I got 1154 Unidentified Dyes out of this feature patch. I’m currently busy with selling them all.
i think you need to update what you know about 100b and warriors in general.
GS is not even used in PvE anymore, in a fully optimised group Axe-Mace rules.
you don’t see much GS users in PvP, you see Hambows everywhere.
its considered a blasphemy zerging in WvW with a GS.
the only place GS is viable is WvW roaming.
no one with his brain will stay in your 100b, we are not talking PvE here, why i should burn my stun/immobilize, my stability and root myself so i can just damage you lesser that what my Axe auto attack can damage ? .
You are kidding, aren’t you? Within a good group I can reach up to 40k crits with one 100b. Ofcourse I use axe for the AA, but still, 100b is so much more better than simply the axe AA.
To be honest, I would not care if they removed hundred blades completely. Greatsword is a mobility weapon.. hundred blades requires u to stay still. Think about this for a second, how much sense does this even make???
Woooh, hold on a minute. If you call for 100b to be removed, I think you haven’t understood the warrior. What defines the Greatsword? Is it Rush? Or the “I throw my sword like a boomerang”? None of those. It’s the “Spin2Win” and 100b who both deal great damage and who define the weapon. The warrior is also the only class who can drastically reduce their weapon-swap-cooldown. You should use it! So the GS isn’t the weapon who deals the most damage? Who cares? Yust switch to the axe, get 3 AA’s out and switch back to GS to use your skills again…
You’ve gotta be joking…. The 3 skill on axe alone maintains perma weakness on a target, which hurts direct damage quite significantly, not to mention it also applies 3s of chill making it very easy to get in and out of Melee range to land split blades, AND it increases their CDs by 66%, this also affects mobs in PvE but I’d doubt you’d know that cause damage is all that matters.
Also, that word Kiting, I don’t think you know what it means, by definition Melee weapons wouldn’t be good at, nor would they WANT to kite, they’d wanna have a snare or a leap or both so they can keep up with the guy kiting them sure, but they wouldn’t want to actually kite.
And? You wont win a fight with applying weakness. Most weapons will still deal more damage, even with weakness applied. And 3 secs. chill? So their cooldown will be at 5 secs instead of 3? Yeah, looks pretty OP… not. This is the one and only condition you would want to remove if you’re playing vs. a MH axe ranger.
There is just the bleed as damaging condition, which you probably wont apply all 5 bleeds onto an enemy. Also, the damage isn’t high enugh whatsoever to use offensive sigils. And yeah, damage is all that matters for a weapon who is neither defensive nor supportive.
It’s not like I want to say MH axe is unusable, I’ve seen some rangers killing opponents with the axe. But it’s by far the weakest weapon aviable to the ranger
The Ranger CDI thread link is missing in the Master Sticky thread. I hope it gets added.
I also recommend to all devs, since Allie has left, to read the CDI! Lots of very good suggestions have been made and I don’t want them to be unheard and unanswered.
And I also recommend to read this thread:

You don’t have to nerf the damage, you don’t have to nerf the cooldowns, you don’t have to remove traits. Just add the little “feature”: Enemies who are already stunned can’t be stunned as long as the prior stun persists.
i mean come on, Axe auto attack does more damage than 100b and you don’t need to root yourself for it.
Lol? If your 100b is weaker than your axe AA, you’re doing something terribly wrong.
He is probably talking about raw damage per second. For some reason it seems to be a hard concept to grasp that there are different ways to deal damage.
Sustained vs burst for example. You will deal more burst with 100b than with axe auto for the duration of one 100b. Wow, that is genious!
Different weapons for different situations? Madness!
When I’m using 100b, I’ll easily break the 15k damage if I’m alone and get 10 stacks might. I fail to see how this skill should be bad by any means.
i mean come on, Axe auto attack does more damage than 100b and you don’t need to root yourself for it.

This is a Warrior we are talking about… warriors need mobility. Otherwise they could just be kited into oblivion.
Wow. Just wow. Haven’t seen such a close-minded statement for a while now. Warriors are the kings of mobility. No class can be faster or more stickier than the warrior.
Let me ask you this: Do you have problems to stick to rangers? Or necros? Or do you get outrunned by a guardian? Probably not. You have a problem with thiefs and mesmers, which rely heavily on stealth. Stealth is something you can’t counter with movement. So it’s pointless to call for even more movement. You may have trouble against engis or good played eles aswell? That’s because engies are the kings of CC’s. They are excelent in boonstripping and kiting. Eles have to be mobile in order to survive. So there is nothing wrong with your movement. In my mind, it’s even too strong. Just other classes have access to mechanics you can’t counter or they are broken themselves.

I will just give a short idea of what I think would be cool:
Axe 1: Melee AA, like warrior has.
snipI find melee in current situation is a bad idea.
We only have 2 main hand weapon; one is ranged, the other melee.
Unless they’d bring in another one-hand weapon that would be ranged, I will never agree to make axe main hand a melee weapon.
I’d more see an ability for it to bounce on allies also, or weight the damage more on the first attack, or other solutions mentionned.(+, imho, our weapons should be good by themselves, not a copy of other profession’s attacks)
That’s why I’ve suggested to move the current AA to axe 4. I can’t see any reason to use the current axe despite the reason Nike has shared.
please read
“Main hand”
I find we have to have one MAIN HAND ranged weapon
axe #4 is OFF HANDso “because we need a main hand ranged option”, you propose melee main hand axe and ranged off hand?
I might not be good in English, so maybe I’m not understanding how your axe proposal helps ensure we have a main hand ranged option, but it does not make sense to me…Yeah, I know the axe MH is the only onehanded ranged weapon the ranger has but it’s of no use if it sucks. There is literally no point in PvE where you want to use axe as a multitarget, ranged weapon over melee weapons. The damage is abysmal poor. I can’t see the weapon fulfilling any other purpose than being the only onehanded ranged weapon. It simply sucks compared to the other options you have. Even the LB is better.
Well, the LB isn’t a bad weapon, and the Axe is actually considered one of the best weapons in our kitten nal, just because the weapon doesn’t pump out the maximum damage possible IN PVE doesn’t mean the weapon is bad, hell it doesn’t even mean the weapon is anything less than good or great since if it’s not melee, it’ll be inferior in PvE, end of story.
This isn’t a flaw with the weapon(s) in the game, this is a flaw in Anets PvE encounters and the shallow mechanics they have that make standing in melee range rolling your face over the keyboard the most optimal method instead of making encounters that require you to actually utilize your abilities.
Then again, I’ve yet to see a single MMO make PvE utilize their abilities…
The weapon is only good for kiting people and the use of an offhand weapon.
That comes with 2 flaws
1) You’ll never ever need to kite something in PvE. So this weapon is plain useless in the biggest part of the game.
2) You’ll probably not able to kite the current meta builds/classes. I for myself am far better of in just running Sic’ Em + LB vs. thiefs as example as any MH axe combo. I also honestly never lost to a MH axe ranger. Not by a long shot. Furthermore, why shouldn’t a melee weapon be able to kite someone. A melee weapon could even be better than any ranged kiting weapon (Greater Risk = greater Reward).
All in all, I see no justification for the MH axe as it is now. It’s useless for the most time.
It doesn’t has to be a melee weapon, but the current design is weak for the most part.
So I was just thinking what if, and this is totally a what if, the new legendaries will be able to fuse with the old ones to create a twilightish weapon? Now I’m not saying it will have the same skin as twilight, just the same concept of fusing 2 legendaries of the same weapon type into the mystic forge.
What do you guys think? ^-^
So you want to combine two new legendaries to get one old legendary? Seems kinda odd to me.

Rangers are the ones who should have a large set of anti-stealth mechanics.
Thiefs => Stealthed Assassins
Rangers => TrackerBut rock paper scissors balance isn’t any fun
It’s atleast some balance in this completely unbalanced game. I would rather take a rock paper scissors balance than what we have now.
I wouldn’t, 0/10 wouldn’t recommend.
The game is RPS already though. You bring Removal to beat Conditions. You bring Stability to counter Control. You bring Blocks/Blinds to counter Direct Damage. It’s all just a more complicated version of RPS. You can try to fill as many countermeasures into your build as you can and then use them correctly or you specialize in one thing.
Stealth is the one mechanic in the game that has hardly any direct counter. Sic ‘Em is the only skill that can directly apply Reveal on an enemy and it’s not even that good of a skill.
Yeah, but it’s not like one class has the rock, one other the paper. All classes have all three parts, just some classes have more rocks, papers and scissors than other classes have.
Some underwater filters take the appearance of armor helms already. I’m just sad they can’t be dyed the the rest.
actually they technically can if you use the preview window with the breather and dyes, they just never added the UI to let us make the change permanent
Or they make the normal helm upgradeable, so you don’t have to worry about an aquatic helm at all.
Rangers are the ones who should have a large set of anti-stealth mechanics.

It says power level. How do they do that? You give them your account login information and they level for you? Surely no one is dumb enough to do that.
Never say never…

The names will still be displayed if you are aiming at them or if you look in their direction.
Since the aquatic helm hasn’t gotten any love since release and it’s just another unnecessary goldsink (especially if you have to buy 7 expensive runes), I suggest to upgrade the normal helm into an aquatic helm, so you can use your normal helm both on land and under water. The costs to upgrade your helm could be a new goldsink, which I would be happy to sink my gold in.
Ranger Axe #1 is a fabulous tapping weapon for multi-target zerg events
. In my experience nothing else comes close (on a ranger) for how many drops you get.
I see what you want to tell but in my mind, LB+GS is infinitely more usefull.
Is this game balanced?
Put simply, not by a long shot.
Also, moving away from the focus on that aspect of the class for a second, just in general, something I thing would be really interesting is the ability to trait to add additional functionality to the bounce of mainhand axe. Maybe a short cripple (1s) or even chill. Not on the first hit, mind you, but on the bounces.
Anybody think that just the concept behind the idea is okay?
I fail to see how this would strengthen the axe. I can think of no scenario in PvE where you want to take MH axe over any other weapon. The only scenario I can think of where the axe could be beneficial is a 1vX situation in WvW. But you probably wont try to fight 1vX anyway…
I will just give a short idea of what I think would be cool:
Axe 1: Melee AA, like warrior has.
Axe 2: Old axe 2 and 4 combined; shortrange AoE pull
Axe 3: Should bounce very often (9 times?) between foes in a small area (each foe could be hit more than once). The first target hit gets chilled (like the old axe 3). All bounces stack 0.5 seconds chilled.
Axe 4: Old axe 1
Axe 5: You should be able to move slowly (like being crippled) and the AoE should be bigger
They should add a non – hostile mode, similiar to the “Away/Online/Invisible Statue” window. This would put a white dot above your character designating yourself a non threat.
I think this would be exploited.
We had an all-german matchup before the arena got implemented. Instead of fighting in the sanctum, we were trading blueprints.
If thiefs steal from a pet, they should get a 30% damage penalty and permacripple. There is nothing else you could steal from a ranger pet.

I want to give an idea how the problem of unsatisfying event rewards could be solved:
We already have Account Bonuses: Extra Karma, Gold, XP and Magic Find.
My idea centers around those bonunses:
You should be able to also increase Karma, Gold and XP (only for events) by using essences. Those essences could be aquired as event reward. Those bonuses should stack that far, that it would be atleast as rewarding to farm eventchains as a dungeon would be. But the rewards should also get hit by diminishing returns after a period of time.
This would have multiple benefits:
- New way to spend your time efficient in GW2
- All maps would be atleast a bit more populated
- No option for goldsellers
- The need to stack those bonuses would prevent inflation
- New long-term goal
- Bonuses could be extended on other rewards to make them satisfying aswell
Anets idea of new content – no wonder they would like players going down the pvp route in GW2.
I know some people are. I for myself am still waiting for the “bigger picture” the devs always referring to.
Ranger pets are as survivable as it gets? Alright, I invite you to look at these two SS I just took and tell me what’s the difference.
http://imageshack.com/a/img703/8910/4x5o.jpg
and
Pet got scaled up in PvE, which makes them almost no-brainer in most content, but still don’t save them from one-shot mechanisms, and if we have the trait, they gain protection at the beginning of our dodge-roll, which still makes them long-standing in most content (where I didn’t have problem keeping them alive to begin with), but still don’t make a meaningful difference for the encounters where I couldn’t keep it alive…
Your point is? All pets, minions, etc. got an Hp buff in PvE only content. WvW is not PvE. Buffing pet health by 70% there would not solve a single problem, especially in smaller group/solo fights.
Also, your pet has 2061 toughness, about as much armor as you would have in a full zerker set up, however, if you ever bother to take the effort to use beastmastery (and master’s bond), that same pet would have 2,561 toughness. Its also not that hard to give it perma protection, making it extremely hard to kill.
Its actually not that hard for me to build up a pet and have even cats and birds standing up to those fabled 1 shot boss mechanics. Your pet IS GOING TO DIE if you don’t bother to invest in it though, which is mostly the point.
NEXT!
And once again you have described perfectly why the pet is broken.
The pet is forced. It takes away our damage. And we get punished for that. So we are supposed to spend 30 points into a traitline just to ensure that 30% of our damage isn’t dead instant? That’s as stupid as it can get. Other classes invest points to increase their damage or to get tankier. We have to spend points just to ensure to not start with a disadvantage.
Don’t get me wrong: If you want to play with your pet, you have to take care about it. But if you don’t want it, your pet will be a burden in every single meaning.

It has been proven that sub games offer more bang for your buck.
In fairness Anet has to make a profit and GW2 is not free as many people keep trying to say.
In all fairness, if the NCSoft managers look at the numbers and are okay with it, they wont change anything which leads to no big changes in GW2.
If they however see that their profit is shrinking, they want to know what’s going on. If now the devs manage to convince the managers to spend more money on developing new content, we could get our big changes.
Sorry but I might play a bit to try and finish WvW Season 2, but I no longer am addicted. Until they change a lot of stuff, I’m not going to drop another cent at this game.
How do you drop another cent on this game when there is no monthly fee?
You can moan in the forums as long as you want. If you want to hit them really hard, you just stop buying gems. I think lots of people used to do that and I think lots of those people will step away from buying any more stuff if ANet doesn’t make the game more thrilling.
(edited by HHR LostProphet.4801)
I haven’t played GW2 for nearly a year now.
I thoroughly enjoyed most of the game; I have a couple 80’s and some fairly high PvP-rank characters. Very close to world completion, high level crafting skills, etc.
I decided to see how the game has come in the past months and fired it up again; after a large amount of patching, a good bit of nostalgia, and a couple of hours, I found myself in a state of déjà vu; I got that same feeling of “there’s really nothing to do” again.
How could this be? Months of content and patches being added but still there’s seemingly nothing to do.
Well, you are experiencing the same as every other person too. The game had a great start. So many things to do, so many details. But since then literally nothing has changed. We got one new PvE map, which is as boring as any other PvE map. We got one new WvW map which isn’t that overwhelming aswell. Sure, some nice gameplay elements have been added but you’re just doing what you’ve done before in normal WvW. Everything someone could have enjoyed has become boring and grindy.
Why are you running dungeons for the 300th time? Because the content is that nice or because you want the reward at the end? I know, it’s a pathetic question but that’s how it is. GuildWars 2 had a good start and, exept for QoL changes, no updates.
And the balancing is still a mess.
Unfortunately you’ve missed the living story but that was also hardly more than an achievement grind.
Best luck Allie!
Just one question: Since you were the main person behind the Ranger CDI I’m just wondering if some ideas get lost with your leaving. Is the information gathering already over or does anyone else take your place of reading every single post in this 60+ pages long thread?
Meteor Shower gets even more broken if you cast it in an area, which is too small for the whole size of the Meteor Shower (WvW walls as example). The AoE gets shrinked until it matches the area, which means, an AoE meant to go down in a 360 units big area goes down in an area less than 100 units big.
Because ANet wanted to make sure that their all-loved warrior wins every matchup.
Seriously, the extra health certain classes have was meant to be the counterpart to lacking conditionclearing/damage mitigation.
I think it’s clear right now that this approach hasn’t turned out as healthy as it was intended to be.
Maybe if you wanted a more mobile class you shouldn’t have picked the heavy armor white mage archetype ^.^ not known for being particularly nimble
This quote should also apply to the other heavy-armor class in this game. Yet, it does not.
“Earned” is a matter of perspective. Farming in game makes at most $2.00 an hour.
Frankly, I have a job that makes many, many times more than that an hour. Time is also an investment. It seems a waste to me to farm 72 hours for something I can just buy after working a real-life job for 1 hour, especially when the farming isn’t exactly fun to begin with.
I’d rather earn money at my job and buy what I want so I can play how I want without repetitive farming.Fractals was a poor example for this btw. Fractal skins are not earned, they are purely RNG based. You can run fractals 100+ times and not get the skin you want, yet someone can run once and get the one they want. Thats like calling the winning the Lotto as “earning” a living.
That’s not a flaw with the rewards but with grind in general: If you grind through content, you’re just aiming for the reward. If you want to grind most efficient, you “grind” some dollars and convert them into gold.
I know it’s a hard goal but ANet should focus on making playing the game more rewarding as grinding through the game, both fun and reward wise.
I completely agree with the OP though, even if I’m running fractals almost daily and never got any fractal weapon skin.
I’d say mercenery bane is the most useless.
Side note:
I used to think it was Supply Capacity, until someone pointed to me how OP and troublesome it would be if it was more accessible. 5 players can empty a camp with it. make it 7 in a bus (no +5 from guild). how does one feed its bus? and how OP would be a bus taking over a keep? 25 players would walk around with 500 supplies, which is 10 superior rams.It might not be an awesome UP to take, in itself, but having people in the bus with it can make the difference between Winning and loosing.
(If I attack a keep, and we are not many, and our siege has been taken off, I can send a group of 5 who has the supply capacity to get some, and still have enough people to defend the position we gained, while if noone has it, the most I’d get from my team of 5 is 75 (vs 100).)
All in all, might not be much for you, but what it allows is huge, thus the very high price.
But you would have to go to many supplycamps until you reach the 500 supplies. It would be a difference to small groups but it wouldn’t be a difference for a zerg. Noone cares if 10 people gather 100 supplies or just 5.
This would also encourage smaller groups since they would benefit the most from this change, for all who don’t like the current zerging in WvW. And if ANet manages to deliver potent keep defenses, this could be the counterpart to it.
Probably Mercenary Bane. I spend maybe 5% of my time in WvW in EBG, and maybe 0.5% of that time doing the mercenary camps. Utterly useless
Supply is the most important factor in the PPT game. It is quite fitting that it takes 300 ranks to max supply mastery.
Yeah, but you get +5 supplies for 300 points… You can do kitten with this +5 supplies.
It’s only usefull in a really big zerg and it’s far easier to just get the +5 buff running instead of dumping 300 points.
So I was wondering which WvW ability is the most useless. And I came to the conclusion that Supply Capability the most useless ability is. You need 20 WvW ranks to increase your supply capability by 1. And that’s just the first rank. You need 300 WvW ranks in total to get +5 supply capability. While I’m fine with the ranks required I’m completely baffled with the benefit for spending 300 points into supply capability.
I know this limit should prevent you from building siegeweapons on your own but this increase is completely underwhelming.
In my opinion, it should be increased to +5 per rank (which would be +25 in total).
So, that’s my worst WvW ability to have. What’s your?
Your whole argumentation is drawing circles after circles leeding nowhere.
My argument leads somewhere. It leads to stating that you’re making assumptions with no basis. Which you have yet to disprove.
As example: Ofcourse the Sylvari aren’t a product of evolution. They where born from a Tree just a few years before. There hasn’t been something like this whatsoever.
Treants are born from trees, being trees themselves. Stalkers are very humanoid, though we don’t know what they’re “born” from. And honestly, in a world full of magic, why couldn’t natural magic effect evolution? I mean, hell, elementals come about from the land itself because of concentrations of magic.
The next thing is the leaving the Dream point. They can leave the Dream but not because the Dream lets them. And the Dream is no actual place you can go to, that’s completely obsolete. The Dream is like the Matrix, as I’ve said before, and you can’t go into the Matrix. There is no kittening way to get into the Dream other than being invited by the Pale Tree.
But you CAN go into the Dream, that’s my point. How doesn’t matter – and we only know of one way, but that doesn’t omit them from being other ways. The Dream is a place you can physically access, we do so in the personal story, so it isn’t like the Matrix.
If the Dream would just be some sort of magical thingie within the mists, the Sylvari would have to establish a connection to the Dream but they are born with this connection.
Why do you think that they would have to establish a connection? Maybe the Pale Tree establishes that connection for them. You are making statements that hold no basis in canon lore.
And as I’ve said, I’ve not found anything about the connection between Melandru and Sylvari. Not. A. Single. Clue.
And you have yet to provide a single connection between Mordremoth and the sylvari. Not. A. Single. Clue. You only provide baseless assumptions, no evidence.
Furthermore, your whole argumentation is based on finding a loophole in my argumentation yet you couldn’t convince with facts either.
I already provided numerous facts, and in fact I have been repeatedly providing facts. Are they fullproof? No. There’s none either way, really. But at least I’ve been providing support, while you’ve been providing thin air.
At last, the things you mention are mostly flawed also and I’m getting tired of proving you wrong.
But you have not proven me wrong! NOT ONCE! Nor have you given any form of evidence. You’re pulling arguments out of no where, out of your kitten able kitten !
I’ve never said I’m always right and you’re not. I’ve never said that my theory is the only one who’s fitting. Yet my theory coherent and the only thing you say is “well X could be also caused by Y, so you are wrong”, which simply isn’t the case. And just because you are repeating your theories over and over again doesn’t make them any more valid. Period.

We don’t know what the Nightmare really is. We haven’t tested to free a Sylvari from the Nightmare. You can’t just say it’s impossible just because some say it’s impossible.
Noone believed humans could be on the moon until we’ve sent people to the moon.
Just because noone has successfully freed a Sylvari from the Nightmare yet, doesn’t mean it’s impossible. And still, it fits into the corruption theme. They are just corrupted, their “backdoor” is opened. Mordremoth has just not taken control over the nightmare because he was asleep. The shortest description is in math: nightmare = reality – dream
The nightmare is everywhere. I don’t say that you should believe my words, but there is no cure unless you delete memories and reapply the shield.
There is however still some flaws with your explanation. Why is the Nightmare Court agressive against all other creatures? Why do they all behave “bad”? It’s not like you can’t hate when following Ventari’s Teachings. The shield you are mentioning has to protect the Sylvari from something. What is the thread? It’s not bad feelings, that’s for sure. It has to be something humans have not since Sylvari are modelled on humans, yet humans don’t need this shield. I would say it’s the influence of the dragon but you may disagree here. However if it is the influence of a dragon this shield is protecting from, it can be cured like any other corruption of the dragons.
The nightmare court is less aggressive than expected. They basically catch their enemies and torture them to gain access to see the nightmare. They do not behave bad and that is what puzzled me. Honorable battle openings and at all very nice, except the tortures. They even allow their members to put up symbiosis with other creatures (like spiders in TA).
The Nightmare Court isn’t agressive? You may want to replay the explo mode in TA again. While they have confederations, they still try to drive all Sylvari into the Nightmare. It is only logical to not kill Sylvari since they aren’t able to expand their forces on their own. They do however attack any other race. And taming pets is no clue for them being nice whatsoever.
- Treants are a product of evolution, Sylvari are not.
- If it’s Zhaitan, why isn’kitten risen dragon then? And just because a character says it’s Zhaitan doesn’t mean it really Zhaitan. No god-mode narrator has ever said this dragonminion within the dream was a minion from Zhaitan.
- See my earlier post
- The Matrix was for the people who are connected to it. They could do everything exept leaving the Matrix. Yet the Architect used the Matrix to keep the people pleased so he could get the energy from the human bodies.
The Dream doesn’t restrict the Sylvari but they can’t leave the Dream either (atleast the weren’t intended to leave the Dream). But the Dream offers huge power to that one who controls it. both information about everything all Sylvari are doing, thinking and experiencing and the possibility to influence them. The one who establishes the Dream and keep it running has to be unnatural, since the Pale Tree is unnatural, has to be very powerful and has to be the same type of being, a plant, as the Tree is.
All those requirement are fitting to Mordremoth, an elder dragon, who is either a plant or uses plants. - Haven’t found something about that; can’t talk about it.
- Insanity can be either cured or is inherent. Both do not apply to the Nightmare Court. And as I’ve said earlier, they are still unaware of their destiny. So they treat all dragons as enemies, same as any other race on Tyria.
- The Dream has to be filled woth informations to evaluate certain situations. The first information the Dream has experienced was Ventari’s Tablet. The Tablet told the Tree, the Dream what’s wrong and what not. The Pale Tree made the decission to fight the dragons based on the teachings of Ventari. If the Pale Tree never found Ventari’s Tablet, there would be no “light” side of the Dream, only the “dark” side, the Nightmare.
- See my preivous nine
- If the Dream would be natural phenomena, the Sylvari could decide to either accept the Dream or to refuse it, but they can’t. The connection is forced and someone has to force this connection and this “someone” has to get a pretty big advantage if it’s worth all the troubles.
- There is simply no other than the dragon himself who would benefit from the awakening. Something forced her to awake this dragon and since noone benefits from that it has to be the dragon itself. Furthermore, it was something that was always with her. So if the dragon left a backdoor to control the Sylvari once the dragon is awake, she probably rushed through that door head-on.

When we perform this ritual, Illyra stands directly next to the Risen Chicken used as a guinea pig. There is a noticeable change in the chicken as denoted by Illyra, but Illyra’s personality is fully unchanged.
She isn’t part of the Nightmare Court, so your argumentation is obsolete.
But you argue that all sylvari are dragon minions. So therefore all sylvari would be affected by this ritual. It’s what your own argument entails!
That’s simply not true. If you put the Shatterer on this altar, he would be cured, same as Glint got cured but his body wont change a bit. Illyra is a descendant of a dragon, thus she is immune to all other corruption. Yet she is not mentally corrupted. Hence, she isn’t cured because she isn’t infected.
You’ve given the answer to your “facts” right away.
You’ve said that there are with dragonmagic corrupted plants out there. So why can’t the Sylvari be corrupted? Probably because they are already “blessed” with dragonenergy.
And it’s only logical that a dragonminion can’t be corrupted twice.
1. They see their master as master. Simple. They can’t serve 2 different masters.
2. All dragons are probably fighting each other since they compete for the same resources, magic. You would never give the enemy control over your units.
It’s an unnatural state for a being being corrupted by 2 different types of magic.

. In my experience nothing else comes close (on a ranger) for how many drops you get.
