Why is 75%+ of the damage from static discharge still going into the ground? This isn’t Call of Duty, Anet. There are no cursors on my screen. Can you fix this already?!

ANET, please give us access to this armor! I don’t care how you do it I just need to be able to get it. It has the best light armor pieces in the game by far in my opinion. Maybe you could simply allow this lady (http://i.imgur.com/QhJCl5M.jpg) to sell them?

It’s never been available in PvE and since there doesn’t seem to be a way to even get it in PvP anymore, this addition would be nice.

PROPOSAL
currently the rangers pet is very underpowered if they are going to steal 30% of our damage make them worth it make each pet a mini powerhouse having multiple “spells” that they can activate e.g. eagle whirlwind blow all enemies backward in a 900 radius area. also perhaps adding a feature in PvP that means the ranger can’t be damaged until a quarter of his pets health has gone down meaning they can’t just ignore the petRISKS
this may cause some issues with the other classes damaging the ranger and make the pet die instantly to multiple attacks
I’ve barely read 1% of the posts in this thread but how often do people suggest crazy crap like this?
As a necromancer I agree to a certain extent with most of your points. As far as movement skills, necromancers won’t get them because they are supposed to stay in the fight. To counteract this they are supposed to make it very hard for enemies to get away. I think arena net needs to make spectral grasp an instant pull because it would help in this respect a lot. Currently, many classes have to many instants that can’t really be countered. This would make running from necromancers much harder, but they still wouldn’t be able to escape well which is by design.
Screw that. This is unoriginal, unfair, and keeps the skills useless.
Spectral Grasp should be an AoE pull. Necromancers can send out five hands to pull in 5 random enemies in a cone infront of the necro. AWESOME!
It’s been talked about since launch along with tail clipping and the hundred other charr issues. Anet doesn’t want to invest time helping charr because most of the playerbase plays humans. Yeah, it’s sad.
Judging by this thread, charr just lost another to humans. Well done, Anet.
I did notice that ascalonian medium armor was also changed the day kodan heavy armor was changed but I didn’t know it was also for the worse until now.
Let’s hope Anet is capable of reverting both the armors back before the 6 month mark.
I’m a little worried they won’t even bother at this point since they already made an insulting attempt at trying to fix the kodan heavy armor. They probably think it’s “good enough”.
Same with charr, still completely broken and ugly on them as well. Sad part is they did seem to go back and try to fix it because the pelt on the back no longer clips into the back, but that’s all they did. Everything else still looks horrible. I want the old armor back kitten . Why would they take perfectly fine armor and just break it?!

The Ranger isn’t expected to do burst damage. By sustained, we mean that the Ranger should excel at surviving (resilient) through burst while still doing enough damage over time to take the opponent down.
Well the problem here is that rangers already play like a very weak burst class that uses their strongest skills then spams AA ’till the cooldowns are up.
If anet was considering a pet rework I think it would be cool if pets were stowed away by default. The players F1 skill could be a calling to the pet. For 20 or 30 seconds the pet you chose would come flying into battle with you and it would be invulnerable. In this case, like now, pets would need a massive buff. They should be something other players fear once the rangers calls them out. The other mechanics of it can be whatever, like the rangers F2+ skills could call out other pets letting the ranger have some options or they could be skills of the F1 pet. For now I’m thinking the pet "whistle” as it would be called can be used every minute or so but maybe there could be something more interesting to it rather than time. I don’t think it would require much reworking of the traits as well.
I can’t think of any games where a similar mechanic is applied so if someone understands what I’m trying to say and has an example, shout it out. I don’t think I’m explaining it well.
I would like if shortbow was a more viable condi weapons and since an NPC just hit me with an arrow that applied torment, I think it would be cool if shortbow could apply torment in someway.
PvX – I play all aspects of the game and none of these are not a problem in all areas of the game.
- Remove spirits unbound or change it’s functionality. As it is now it’s too strong of a trait which is causing the balance of spirit skills to be too varied. I suggest removing the ability to have spirits move at all. Then balance spirit skills around a stationary form. Having some mindful play involved with spirits would be nice for a change.
- Weapons are too weeks and too dependent on AA.
- Utility skills are horrible. I’m often opting to take signets and EVEN then, never using the actives because they’re also horrible.
- Pets. It’s not just the responsiveness but also the cast time of the skills. I don’t like being held back by my pet in a fast paced game like this because my pet is too busy standing still for 2 seconds. This is what makes rangers so unattractive. We’re not fighting with a pet, we’re babysitting.
Please revert the change, Anet. My charr is looking dumber than usual.
The scaling changes across the whole set are just awful now and have a huge amount of clipping issues. It makes me not want to play this guy because it just looks terrible now.
I find this hilarious because I feel the exact same way. I don’t even feel like playing my warrior because of this change. Luckily I have 7 other level 80s to have fun with ‘till this get’s fixed.
7/10 – Personally it’s too messy for me as you’d probably notice from what I like.
Sadly this image was taken after the patch that broke Kodan heavy armor so it’s not looking as good as it used it.
How is this bug still in the game? So often when trying to pick up a bundle or even pick up loot and mistakenly pick up a bundle my skills lock. I have to look for any enemy with a launcher or knockdown to get rid of it.
And the ‘getting stuck trying to cancel building siege bug’ is also way overdue for a fix.
WvW is perfectly fine for gathering the mats as long as towers and keeps are being taken.
Heard the mask is obtainable through the new living story event. Try your chances when you hit 1200 saved citizens.

That’s how all cosmetic items acquired through achievements should work in my opinion. Same with story and lore items acquired through achievements as well.
To my knowledge only HotW heavy armor and AC medium armor was changed. AC medium armor seems to have had an update (for charr) for fix some clipping issues while HotW armor never actually had any problems. It seems they unintentionally bugged the HotW heavy armor on all races. For norn and charr it’s most easiest to see that the armor pieces were repositioned and resized and now they clip into themselves and have some weird texture problems. I’m guessing all races are actually effected by this, it’s just easier to see on the bigger races.
Please pay no attention to the guy who thinks this was a “fix” for charr. They messed up the armor for ALL races.

The Aetherblade armor seems fine on my Charr.
Even this armor clips with the tail. Not to mention you changed the notorious, gigantic, floating shoulder armor. Don’t ignore the issue…

They saying in the reddit post things like jetpack and shatterer wings are dropping. Omg I need that jetpack.
I have a beta fractal capacitor on my engi and it still bugs for that one. The way I thought it worked is that every backpiece disappears when you first equip a kit and then when you use a skill from the kit the backpiece reappears.
If they don’t fix it I need to find a new game…
I’m not trying to be a d**k but Anets been treating charr like sh** since release and for them to carelessly break charr even more is making me so sick inside. Even after the year of complaints about tail clipping they still go out and release the garbage known as zodiac armor. There is no hope.

Do we know what these are yet? Could we possibly get items like the jetpack again (currently selling for 700g)?
So, they fix the “skirt” issue sylvari had with HotW and broke the armor for all the other races.
Looking back at the armor on humans it looks like only the shoulders were bugged. On charr the whole thing was bugged. So I guess I can expect them to fix it in a couple of years.

What the hell is your problem? They didn’t fix anything. They bugged the armor unintentionally and they need to revert it back. It looks horrible.
This isn’t “fixed”. It was never even broken.
Charr don’t have any good looking armor? Their tier 3 cultural heavy is probably the best looking armor in game.
Do you know how many heavy armor hard there are compared to medium and light? Do you know how many of those heavy armor charr wear tier 3 cultural?
The exact problem with charr armor. Everything else is complete garbage.
The whole HotW heavy armor set was broken this last patch for all races. I don’t think Anet responded yet.
I don’t know why my thread was merged into this one. The problem isn’t just the shoulders and it isn’t just resizing. The whole Kodan Heavy Armor set was totally f’ed with. It was repositioned and resized by mistake, and despite the weird guy somewhere above me, it looks absolutely horrible on all races. Please fix this, Anet.
This happened this patch and thanks for checking humans.
Kodan heavy armor seems to have had an accidental size increase, among other things. The pelt on the back and the knee guard are also messed up.

Ok guys, I noticed Anet broke the inventory panel and heavy kodan armor (atleast on charr) this patch.
- The inventory panel expands when you zone to a new map.
- Kodan heavy armor seems to have had an accidental size increase. (only confirmed for charr)
Since I have OCD and these two unbelievable random bugs are kittening me off, can you guys find anything else Anet broke this patch, or any recent patch for that matter? I can’t help but feel there are dozens of new bugs and it’s driving me nuts.
Hello Madam Murdock, I’m just going to say this one thing because I feel everything else that needs to be done with rangers has already been stated hundreds of times by now (which is good).
Remove Spirits Unbound, balance spirit skills around an exclusive stationary form, then have fun replacing the trait.

I don’t understand why so many people cry over commander tags as if they were jealous or something.
Ranger and engineers are both horrible for direct damage and since condi damage is mostly useless in PvE, they’re not people’s first choice. But, they aren’t as unwanted as you and others think/make out to be.
A problem with ranger weapons is that they’re all so dependent on the auto attack and the auto attacks are weak.
Whirling Axe shouldn’t be looked at for damage but a whirl finisher and an amazing adrenaline builder.
I don’t know where RaO fits into this but the heal could be more interesting. Same said of so many skills in the game though.

Also, can someone tell me which armors they went back and fixed cause I just checked the PvP locker yesterday and it only looked like SE changed. I have a feeling shoulder armor will never get fixed if they can’t even fix the bigger issue with tail clipping.
