Why do most problems in this game always come down “technical limitations”? That’s all I hear anymore.
1. Ranger – power builds, pets in general, clunky/weak weapons, useless utility skills. Remove “spirits unbound”.
2. Engineer – power builds, weak kits, weak turrets, bugs (ex. static discharge).

1% life force every 3 seconds? That means it takes 5 minutes to go from zero life force to full.

Lol, Anet’s so blind sometimes. There is so much garbage skills and traits in this game and it seems like they’re oblivious to all of it.
It should atleast work like plague. Lets us continue our stomp if we hit death shroud during the animation, and don’t let us start the stomp if we’re already in death shroud.
But if they do that they might a well let us start the animation while in death shroud as well. :P

Nevermind the population count of warriors in the game, you’d be completely ignorant to think warriors aren’t massively overpowered right now.
Could people stop making suggestions with the gem shop in mind. COULD we try to get something like this ingame without having to jump straight to the gem shop, as if your suggestion had a better chance because you’re giving Anet ideas for money, which they’d barely make here because rangers suck and nobody plays them. Then again they’d finally have incentive to BUFF RANGERS ALREADY!
It’s funnier watching people give some much love and emotion to pixels! If I wanted to spy on JQQ I would just do it because guess what, buying extra copies of the game is not against the rules. Nothing anywhere does it say you can’t own more then one…. But in reality where normal sane people live its a waste of good money better spent on more important things……like tissues to send to all you mad insane lunatics cry and raging over a video game!

BG clearly needs better security on their Website. BG caught with their pants down talking about spying on JQ. They deliberately want to take this week off, so that JQ gets bored capping nothing.

Well, I didn’t start this thread because of all the freaks having a blast in EoTM. It’s for the 10-20 people trying to carry the whole server and all the people sitting in LA who already rage quit.
The same thing is happening to SoR that has happened to every server other than BG and JQ.
The lower tiers are emptying out slowly but surely. There’s really not much left for coverage outside of tier 1, maybe tier 2.
Even tier 3 is becoming mostly empty most of the time.
WvW was great for a long time, I just don’t think there’s enough people to sustain it anymore outside of a few servers and a few timezones.
The casuals are mostly in EOTM at the moment, who knows how long that will last.
I think a real change will have to come sooner than later. It’s reset night and there’s some ridiculous scores, the worst I’ve seen. There’s clearly a major problem with WvW in its current state and something needs to change before there’s only a tier 1 remaining.Might be right. WvW is too flawed in it’s current match up system.
I could see Anet change WvW into a system like they are using in EotM. Stacking up servers together for a weekly match up and fight it out in different overflows, while taking the average score of all overflows together every couple hours. That way there’s not really an advantage of having an overstacked server, and overflow system makes sure there’s always fights going on.
EotM looks really pretty, wish they redesign the bl maps and made them just as pretty!
The problem with this though, is that Anet would be taking a huge blow to their income. I don’t know if they’re willing to sacrifice the money for the health of the game.
Another one could be that people don’t want to share their community and make it public.

I feel horrible about the players that are left on SoR just wondering what the hell happened. Wish BG would stop buying so many guilds and even lose some to SoR. Maybe we could have some fun, even matchups again ’cause this sh*ts getting old.

One guy mentioned something along the lines of “kiting the wurms out of the fighting ‘area’ scales them down” in teamspeak which basically everyone shrugged off. People say things all the time and try to turn their theories into facts at will.

It is true that the first kill was obviously some crazy scaling issue but TTS did not know this would happen or try to make it happen. This exact thing is what has happened to everyone who’s killed the wurm. It scaled down randomly, it died, we got lucky.
In the second video, the kill seems much more legit. There were no radical HP drops and here the wurm was also not pulled to anywhere specific. He ran into a wall, we killed it. That’s basically it.
Now Anet comes into the OF where we were about to attempt a third kill and stops us and I can’t help but feel it’s because of the stuff being said in this thread that Anet thinks we were intentionally exploiting or abusing any bugs.

Welcome to life as a Ranger player. The only staff member that acted like we exist left the company a while ago.
Its not that, its that most threads involving the Ranger, even those with good ideas, end up turning into a flame fest by the second page, normally in the direction of Anet. This thread has actually been constructive for over 200 posts. Thats seriously a new record when it comes to rangers.

My problem is that instead of fixing its effect on inanimate objects. They just make it unusable on them all together.
If anet was considering a pet rework I think it would be cool if pets were stowed away by default. The players F1 skill could be a calling to the pet. For 20 or 30 seconds the pet you chose would come flying into battle with you and it would be invulnerable. In this case, like now, pets would need a massive buff. They should be something other players fear once the rangers calls them out. The other mechanics of it can be whatever, like the rangers F2+ skills could call out other pets letting the ranger have some options or they could be skills of the F1 pet. For now I’m thinking the pet "whistle” as it would be called can be used every minute or so but maybe there could be something more interesting to it rather than time.

I think light and medium ascended look okay but heavy is just disgusting to look at.
Elementalists is the only profession that is near impossible to stomp on first try. Only way to do it is to start the stomp animation right before they use vapor form (which is near impossible in itself if the ele is even half decent), then teleport to them at the end of their movement.
Another messed up thing about vapor form is that it allows them to interact with any objects, loot, and even go through portals.
Are WvW ranks vertical or horizontal and do the chests get better at higher ranks?
The reason I ask is because if the ranks are horizontal and the chests do get better, wouldn’t that mean the people who have a lot of low rank characters will get kinda screwed once they make WvW ranks account bound?
They’ll have been opening all these low level chests rather than progressively better chests if WvW ranks have been account bound since the start.

The best tier food gives +100 and +70 in its major and minor stats. Based off of how traitlines work we can see they chose to value +10 stats as equal to +1% condition duration.. so why exactly they felt the need to say on food “Nope, we wont follow that pattern, we’ll make the foods x4 stronger.. That surely wont change anything!” remains a mystery.
I dont see the need for a cap though if the food is lowered.. because stacking it to insane levels would not be nearly as easy as it is now.

I wonder whether changing Condi Duration and Boon Duration to function like Ferocity will would be a good change. There are serious issues as it stands with condi duration in wvw.
Oh I’m sorry, I meant just the food. The 40% increase/decrease just from food is outrageously OP and should have been nerfed long ago.

There aren’t enough people in the WORLD OF TYRIA that care. All that do go elsewhere to get it killed like BG, Deso, TTS, or TxS.
Disappointing in terms of profession balance.
Engineers and Rangers need major buffs in terms of their power builds. Rangers are outright horrible for power with clunky weapons and useless utility skills. Engineers have some decent power builds but all suffer from extremely low damage (ex. turrets, flamethrower) or bugs (ex. static discharge).
Thieves… I don’t know what the goal with thieves are but they’re too single target focused in my opinion. Same can be with rangers but rangers are much worse at it.
Elementalists are not as bad as people are making them out. The changes coming to them are welcome though.
Guardians are whatever. They need plenty of help in the condi department but I’m not expecting anything done with that for a while.
Mesmers and Necros are in the best place of all the professions. Both very viable for power and condition builds, and both balanced well in each for the most part. Mesmers could use more damage on main hand sword and their stealth skills could be toned down. For necros, I’m not sure how I feel about the dhuumfire change but if it does go through, the cast time on Life Blast should be lowered.
Warriors are overpowered. Insane stability, blocking, regen, mobility, invulnerability, damage, immobilize, stuns, all on top of their very high base stats. Not to mention their amazing for support and also very, very good as a condi class. I’d say one of the best. I’d like to see how much the pin down nerf will effect them.
What also bugs me is the scaling in phase 2. In the desolation video you clearly see all three heads literally drop straight to 0 after the 15-20% mark. While we have rarely had it happen the same way, and when it does, it’s not nearly as big a drop. So what, did deso only manage to kill the wurms because of some crazy lucky scaling bugs?
No. We asked for the harder content so keep it hard. Deso has proven it can be done now it’s up to the rest of the player base to figure it out
It’s not even about being “figured out”. TTS have figured out how to consistently get into phase 2 but the problem is phase 2 is unreasonable. The execution level needed of every player is absurdly high.
It’s nice that it’s in open world for everyone to try and have fun with but it’s exhausting for those who are trying their kitten edest to kill these things and have to wait in map for one and a half hours everytime they fail.

Is there something bugged about Ambers AoE spin attack? Yesterday we did the fight against Amber and when we stack on the arrow with the debuff he tried his spinning attack which has a small radius. Now I’m seeing the same attack and animation but with a much larger radius. It alternates randomly between 2 different radii. Is it suppose to do this?
A condition trait makes more sense in spite than a healing/death shroud trait since it’s a power+condition duration tree.

I could be talking out of my kitten…
I rarely got rings back before the fractals patch in 40+ fractals. Maybe rings are taking up space in the rewards causing less fractal weapons. I wouldn’t be surprised since it seems like this happens with all rewards in the game. Whenever they want to add a special event reward to something it loses another reward.
The game crashes when I log off the game. For an instant when I log off an error report will pop up for less than a second. Is this happening to anyone else?
