Sorry for not responding, was finishing something up. ATM I’m running dps heavy gear. Either 0/5/30/30/5 or 0/0/30/20/20. Haven’t decided which one I like better both are very powerful.

Current stats look some thing like this, no buffs. If anyone is interested I can go into more detail.

“Hold the Line!” is the only shout that does not always use one consistent character voice-over, but instead can use a variety of character voice-overs which are seemingly chosen based on what type of area or situation the player is in when the ability is used.

What you are trying to do is very hard with out any type of buff, but I threw this together for you. If you don’t mind using buffs.

Looks good overall, but probably better of going perception over accuracy when it comes to sigil. That way you can use a different sigil on your other weapon.

They drop from sparks and air eles. Best place to grind them is Malchor’s Leap. Either temple of Lyssa or Dwayna, but they have to be uncontested.

For the most part it’s pointless to grind them, the drop rate is VERY low. You’re better off just grinding the gold to buy them. You can also try your luck at the Orrian karma boxes, they also drop them.

Easiest and fastest way is just to grind the gold to buy them. Hate to say it.

40-50 is ideal, since this build has high crit dmg.

But if you still want to lower ur crit chance for other stats, nothing wrong with that. I’d also drop crit dmg for other stats.

I’m currently running more dps atm. All armor is zerker, everything else is the same.

Tethyos is a zerker ammy I think. You really don’t have to change anything if you want, you’ll just be doing more dmg. But an easy fix would be changing the zerker earring to full soldier.

If they took the time to balance underwater combat, then yes that seems like fun.

Until then no.

Mesmers can be tricky.

You need couple of things you need to pressure, and high burst. Best weapon combos would be GS with s/t or f. Also GS and hammer works well too.

Also pvp Mesmers tend to be alot easier, since they can’t max/min their gear like in WvW. I use to duel Seven Mirror a lot, and it was almost impossible.

No leg specialist or condition removers.

Female Sylvari. Don’t see that many being warriors, and Jennifer Hale is awesome.

We have Purging Flames to do that.

Hallowed Ground is already extremely powerful. Doesn’t need a buff.

Only point in Zeal is if you want to do a symbol build. Other then that some people put 10 into for Fiery Wrath.

Zealous Blade heals for 25 hp and doesn’t scale with healing power. Pretty much pointless.

Save Yourselves needed the nerf in PvP. Players where using it to become Superman. That’s not the point of it. Whole point is to help your team by drawing their conditions, the boons are just there to help counter all the conditions.

Save Yourselves got changed to five seconds instead of ten in PvP. Happened awhile back.

Resolve CDs is only 32 if you trait it, 40 if not. Always been this way.

No all that looks about right, build works fine with only exotics.

Also I’ve been using a new build, finding it superior to this one in almost everyway. It’s similar, you can use the same gear etc. Big change is the traits. I’ll keep playing with it, and if I like it enough I’ll update this with the new one. Probably been done somewhere before, but I haven’t seen it yet.

Necros have six fears if they go a terror build. Don’t see how one on a 80s CD could be better…..

So I ran into a Champ chicken today, first time I’ve seen one. Pretty much downed/killed almost everyone, then it exploded when it was killed. Even more people died. lol

Pretty much anything AoE. GS, hammer, and staff.

Rewards/incentive, and the separation of PvP/PvE.

Yes, separate the balance part, but that should have been it.

Some gameplay I captured for a video in my Guard thread, since it’s WvW I’ll share it here too. Nothing fancy, just some Guardian action.

It’s been awhile since a video. So here we go! Just some gameplay I captured from my last couple of days of WvW.

Sword/Torch! Since it gets a bad rap. Enjoy.

I don’t have a problem with them.

Wrath goes through multiple enemies.

Wave of Light is an AoE knockback, nice once again.

Symbol of Judgment punishes people that don’t stomp, and try to dps you down.

Super jelly.

If you can you want to mix Berserker/Valkyrie and Cavalier for trinkets.

That well cover everything you need. Power, tough, prec, crit dmg, and vit.

I’m assume you are talking about runes? They’re are quite expensive, I’d pick Lyssa as a replacement.

Gives you precision which is what the build lacks more then anything. Also gives you another condition remover, and makes Renewed Focus godly.

A lot of different runes you can choose depending on your play style, but that would be my second choice.

One Zerker and other Valkyrie. Fire on sword and Force on torch.

Ya, someone in my guild just did tPvP when the laurel monthly was bugged. He’s 7-4 and been sitting at around 200 since the lb came out. lol

You could easily do it all in a day if you wanted too. Just use dufly’s guides, and you should be fine.

35% is fine, especially if you use any type of precision buff. Anything less then 30% I personally wouldn’t bother with crit sigils, but that’s just me.

You can use both Bloodlust and Strength. What doesn’t work is like two crit sigils. Only one is going to proc, and they will share a CD.

Like me atm. I’m using Bloodlust on my GS. Then Fire and Force on my Sword/Torch.

Them and all the other cool weapons, I enjoyed crafting.

From what I’ve seen, wolf is my fav followed by dolyak.

Shark is just lulz. Pretty much it just belly flop and leaves…..

Almost all of the stacking ones are great:

Bloodlust
Life
Perception

If you have high crit I would also recommend:

Fire
Strength
Blood
Generosity
Ice

If you don’t have high crit then:

Battle
Energy
Hydromancy
Force

Moobs: Abnormal enlargement of the breasts in a male.

Only against certain attacks which are considered unblockable. The only one that I believe is an issue is necro’s fear mark, which will interupt the skill.

Warriors are a problem now also. Active Might use shield bash or something similar. Then follow with 100b or Eviscerate.

Ugh im going to have to go look up warrior changes now, wasnt aware they had a change like that. 2 months off will do that to you i guess :/

Ya, it just happened last patch. Active on Signet of Might is next three attacks are unblockable. So got to be careful with that if you fighting a warrior with Might. There’s also Destruction of The Empowered 3% more dmg for each boon a target has.

Well guard was my first toon, have over 1400 hours on it. Also have two Warriors, Necro, and Mesmer 80s ofc.

Guard is still my fav by far. It’s the only class I feel like I can take on the world with.

Biggest con I have is mobility is lacking, other then that I love it.

Well I know a lot of people hate celestial because you can’t max/min your gear with them. I personally love them, I’d rather have a balanced gear set up then doing a lot of damage with little survivability, or vice versa. Sure I won’t excel at anything, but I’m not going to be bad either.

Really just personally preference. Either you love it or hate it. Also the Magic Find is great too.

I’ve been taking lots of advice/directions from this post
I had been tinkering with using GS and scepter/shield (or focus), and it works okayish, however, when there’s more than one guy to fight it becomes really hard I think.
Also considered taking up the sword again, is it great in this build? Compared to the hammer?

The great part I’m finding out about the s/t combo is it adds a lot more to this build then the hammer imo. Your burst is obviously going to go up since they’re two of the hardest hitting guard weapons. Survivability also goes up as well. You get a blind/teleport which helps you get out of bad situations, but also a way to stop range attacks.

That being said, I still love the hammer for the amount of CC it brings.

Also for the 1vX, very difficult to judge in this game. Theres been times I’ve beat six players, and other times I lose just to two. It really just comes down to the skill of the other players.
