Played three matches on Sky. All had players lagging and DCs. It’s pretty much unplayable. Either fix it or remove it from solo que.

I have to disagree. This map is perhaps the best map they’ve made. The issue here is a lack of class balance, not a lack of map balance. This map requires you to pay more attention to your enemy’s position than any other map. To time your dodges, pushes, pulls, and stabilities. The biggest issue is the lack of stability balance between classes, not the map itself.

Think OP is referring to the lag and the disconnects.

Yeah there’s something wrong with that map. My last two games on it was nothing but lag and dc. I know it’s not my connection because every other map and the rest of the game worked fine.

Solo que is odd when it comes to this. One of my last matches everyone on my team was +45r and the other team was 10-30r range.

We won 500-0.

What I’m getting at here is the teams are always stacked for some reason. I just recently started to play again. I’m 18-5 and in the top 100. My team always has very high players either by rank or leaderboard. Yet the opposing team is significantly lower.

Well you already have a thief so you’re on the right track! Only attack lowbies, and if you meet anyone that could be a challenge just run.

You’ll be the scourge of the plains in no time!

I personal always liked hybrid>dps>bunker.

Bunker is great if you have a team with certain roles or competent teammates. If you don’t it’s pretty much useless.

DPS is also great, but there are some classes and builds that will just roll you in a second. Plus it’s less effective in team fights.

Hybrid has always been my favorite. You do everything well, not great, but well. So you are useful in any situation. Doesn’t matter if your teammates are stars or terrible, either way you help.

Overall the moral of the story is play what you like and excel at. For me that’s hybrid.

Depends on what you’re looking for PvE or PvP?

The most common one is 10/30/30/0/0 or 0/30/30/5/5 meditation build.

No, it does not stack. Same goes for the Warrior’s Empower Allies trait. Which is the same thing, but 150 power instead of toughness.

But if someone is running Empower Allies and someone else is running Strength in Numbers you get the benefits of both.

Yes, it works if you’re solo, only requirement is you have to be in combat to recieve the buff.

My guess it’s just a dps build using meditations and hammer.

Like precasting Ring of Warding into Judge’s Intervention. Then just having your way with that player. Don’t think it’s anything too special.

Cool that’s good to know. The plan has 10mb down and 2mb up, so speeds not a problem. Was just worried I’d lag too much because of ping.

Also if I use a third party system like WTFast would that help at all?

Jon did talk about maybe changing Smite Condition for Guardain. I think a good idea would be you do more damage depending on how may conditions you have. Currently it’s just do more damage if you have a condition, but it would be better if it did more damage per condition you have.

That would be great synergy with Save Yourselves.

I found it pretty good overall. Some of the parts where a little dry, but it wasn’t bad. Also bring a Warrior and Guard like you said next time is a good change.

Hey guys I just have a question. I’m going to be moving soon, and at my new place the only thing available is a satellite connection. I know in general it’s not good for gaming because there’s a natural delay with it going to space and such, but the only other option would be dial up and that is out of the question.

So I was wondering if anyone had a satellite connection, and if the game is playable or not on it.

Plague form is pretty bad tbh. Just a stall mechanic. As for wells just don’t stand in them…

For hotjoin and tpvp I use the same build most of the time. It gives you decent dmg, nice survivability, and still some team support. It’s pretty much the jack of all trades build. Do good dps, but not as much as a glass cannon. Can still bunker just not as well as a true bunker build. Pretty much a hybrid, which is why I find it to work so well. I also use it in WvW, just different gear ofc.

I love my Necro +800 games, but I simply won’t play it in the current state. Annoying to see more then half the players in a game all being the same class. That’s not fun for anyone imo, and I don’t want to add to the problem. But that’s just me, a lot of people don’t care and just roll whatever the fotm class is.

Alright that makes sense. So if I’m trying to get more dps out of it, something like:

0/25/25/10/10 would be better. Since you get 10% from bleeds, 150 power, and 5% of tough is power. I’m not too worried about Furious.

150 power
20% more dmg at 50%

or

10% more dmg if bleeding
10% crit dmg
3% dmg per boon

From what I remember raw power is always better then modifiers. Like I said I’m not good with number crunching.

Been playing around with this. Pretty much the same build, but I think it’ll give you a higher dps output. But I’m not good with all the number crunching :P

First time playing my Warrior this patch, and this build was a lot of fun, I did switch to Lyssa though with all these silly Necros about.

Didn’t have too much trouble with Corrupt Boon. Most Necros seem to run; Spectral Wall/Walk/Armor, one of the signets, and then a well.

I can’t see how that can be possible though, not to sound stubborn but I’m hitting around 3000 right now with Whirling Wrath, even if I were to fix my traits I can’t see myself hitting anymore than 5000 .. whereas the video I linked showed someone putting 10points into Zeal and still able to hit like a truck.

But I’ll take these criticisms seriously and I will play around with them a bit more!

The thing you have to understand about that video is. He’s full zerker, with dmg modifiers in Fiery Wrath and Power of the Virtuous. You’re not full zerker, and also have zero modifiers.

Also you don’t have to get full zerker, you can easily mix your gear to get high dps while still having better survivability.

I’m still fairly new to Engie only ~125 games, but I love this build. A lot of fun to play. I ran HGH before. Was alright for a bit, but nade spamming gets boring after awhile.

I did change something’s to fit my play style. Went zerker ammy, took automated response, and also using Melandru runes.

I don’t have a problem with the new Necro, it’s just the amount of them that makes it insane. Like one or two, ya whatever not a big deal. But there’s like +4 on every team which makes it frustrating. I even played a tpvp earlier today three Necros on the other team, and most spvp matches look something like this.

I bought the heavy set for PvP, and I love it. Except the helm, ugly as sin.

My point was that you can hit for 5k with the last part of the sword chain with no might or vulnerbilitywith a 0/5/30/30/5 build, without stacking berserker. The stuff that you lashed out at in a previous post and pretty much said was a lie..

I just used might stacking as an example that you can go even higher, or as high, with berserker, or with a more defensive setups.

They need to change Save Yourselves! to Kill Myself! in pvp.

Only problem I see if you took it into WvW would be conditions removers. Just two passive, one if Resolve is on cd. I’d just drop a shout for Smite Condition or Contemplation of Purity.

Unless you are using Soldier runes, I can’t tell. If you are then you don’t have to change anything really.

Ofc it’s possible, highest person is 70 I believe. Most people won’t get to it just because the requirement is so steep. I mean look how long it took in GW1, so I really don’t have a problem with only a few people reaching it.

More like flavor of the week. Just give it some time for people to remember to kill the Necro first. A little CC still goes a long way against Necros.

Also, just save your stun break for the Fear. You don’t want to eat the damage obviously, and the window between uses is fairly big. once they’ve blown it they don’t have much but conditions. CC + Burst = win.

And if all else fails, just run away. They still can’t pursue for kitten.

Pretty much this. Necros can’t do anything against CC chains. Very few go 30 into SR for Foot in the Grave.

Give it a few weeks for the new patch smell to wear off, and you’ll see a lot less Necros.

What’s the point of posting if you’re not going to check it? Anyways bugs are annoying yes, but you could probably have used Merciful Intervention and teleported out of it.

Happens to me a lot on Guard. I’ll use Flashing Blade or Judge’s Intervention, and get stuck in objects. Just have to use a skill and teleport out of it.

If you want to dps on Guard and not get “owned”, use a 0/30/30/5/5 Meditation build.

Works wonders.

but some are much cheaper to hv for some day.

Quite right with this. If all you do is pvp then you have no need for laurels, unless you want to go for the minis or tonic. So simply spend your laurels on heavy crafting bags, and sell the t6 mats.

Really wish they would fix this. I love your game Anet and I want to play it, but I can’t. Lag spikes all the time. Then random DCs error whatever doesn’t really matter which one it is. I’ve tried everything to make it work, but it won’t

Only thing that works is playing at certain times of day. That’s pretty much unacceptable. Especially since that time is the dead of night.

You can always play ball at the public park, but if you want your own hoop at home then it ain’t free. IMO, that cost for CA is reasonable. Not everyone needs their own server, and the cost to maintain it can easily be shared. Likely it will be shared anyways unless you like to play alone.

Do you need money in sPVP? No

Use your glory/chest to make dyes. Sell it for gold. I’ve made enough to get toys and character expansion slot. Its not the same as farming PVE CoF, but as a PVPer you have very little need for gold. The gear is all free.

I make a lot of gold of dyes. Sometimes I wonder how may pvper even take the time to craft dyes and sell them.

Well I got three from the dungeon, and was able to get a Charged Core. So I got happy and bought some off tp. Then all I got was Mithril Ore………

Having guards with Stand Your Ground helps a lot. Overall the golems was the best part!

I did enjoy it until the final boss. It’s not bad, but the cannons last forever.

Other then that it was fun.

Necro a lot stronger, but lets be honest it was needed.
Mesmer brought in line with other classes.
Warrior better.

Other then that everything else feels the same, but it hasn’t even been one day yet! So just give it some time, and you’ll see the next big builds etc.
