It did get buffed, but not much. If you fully spec into Honor, and have no other form of healing power. (300 healing power) Pure of Heart will heal you for 720, instead of 675.

The more healing power you have the bigger the gap will be, but overall just a slight buff. Pure of Heart isn’t a bad trait just because you have so many ways of applying Aegis.

So overall the build is pretty much the same. I did drop Retributive Armor for Strength in Numbers. I prefer 150 armor for me and my allies over 3%-5% crit chance depending on your tough.

Also switched out Save Yourselves with Signet of Judgment, since it’s a stun breaker and the overall buff to weakness. This is personally preference though.

Also playing around with Pure of Heart. Haven’t decided if it’s worth dropping Superior Aria for.

The greatsword trait buff is trash, still only heals for 25 a tick. Definitely not worth it. 8(

Scepter is awesome! Also Strength in Numbers is 150 now, but not in notes.

Guard and Warrior mace comes to mind. So slow, especially the third part of the auto chain. Yeah I understand it’s suppose to be powerful, but it takes way too long. Look at the GS auto chain. Nice, fluid, and fast.

Weakness and retaliation is support.

Also, Right-Hand Strength is replaced with Perfect Inscriptions.
And Purity is replaced with Strength in Numbers, since it adds 250 toughness to allies now.

Fair enough I guess. If it works for you, more power to you.

When I think of support. I’m thinking like staff, mace/shield, using Shouts or Consecration. Then traits like EM, Pure of Voice, Selfless Daring, and etc you get my point.

I could see the build working better after the patch if some of those rumored changes go through. Like the change to Weakness, and Judgment being a stun breaker. Also Strength in Numbers is going to be 150 not 250.

Good change, I don’t see why some people are QQ. Even the rational Mesmers here agree that’s fine.

leaderboard is measure of played skill

rank is a measure of played volume

why would you factor skill in rank? what’s the point of having a second copy of leaderboard. both stats are of some interest and its helpful that both are available.

having rank stat available for prolonged play from the very start is much more fun then what other mmo’s are doing, raising cap each time they need to recycle the game and stimulate tired excitement. when reaching that original milestone, it will feel like something. and not that it’s depriving anything before you reach it, its just a measure, and a long one, as measure should be.

god give endurance to dev team. heaven’s a witness, they have a tough crowd to satisfy.

I agree with this, but the huge problem is the rewards. Lets make a comparison.

Number 1 player on the leaderboard. What does he get? Nothing, sure he gets the prestige of being the “best”, but that’s it

Lets look at the first person to get to 80. Title, finisher, and armor/weapons nobody else has.

Honestly which one would be rather have? If tpvp and leaderboards had better rewards I’d think everyone would be happy.

Well I had an idea last night. In PvE doing your daily/monthly gives you X amount of xp and karma.

So why can’t they simply add this to the PvP daily/monthly, but it gives you glory and rank points instead. It would be a nice little boost, but nothing overkill.

Just a thought.

I can see how it would be good in 1v1. But the minute anyone else shows up, or in a group fight. You’re screwed.

I played around with a similar build. 20/25/0/25/0. People simply melted. Not even funny how fast I could kill someone, but the second I’d start to take focus fire. I’d be dead.

When I run dps in pvp, there are two builds I primarily use. First one, is more tanky and more support. Second is just raw dps.

Like from 10 pm cst to 10 am cst. No lag at all and the game runs flawless, but if I want to play during the day I pretty much can’t because of it.

Yes scepter is very good. Sure the auto attack is a bit slow, but other then that it’s great.

Think of it as a melee weapon with a range option.

It’s better. I haven’t done that too many tpvp match since it was implemented, but every game I’ve been in so far everyone was +30r. Only thing is I have to wait a little longer, but I’m fine with that.

There’s actually a couple of interesting builds I want to try out when this hits.

Also I don’t think it’s fake. If it was fake Anet would have said something or just removed all the threads.

So everyone is just standing around chatting or dueling. Then PAXA shows up wanting to 5v5. That’s what they like doing so it makes sense, but ET/FC didn’t want to because either:

A) We don’t want to and came for duels.
B) Didn’t have the right team compensation or not enough ppl.

Bulky <3 was just trolling like always. 100b ppl and whirlwinding just being stupid. Guess PAXA didn’t like that lol. So they killed all of BS and anyone else that was down there. After that things chilled down. TFI came so PAXA got their 5v5 fix, and everyone went back to dueling or just having fun.

Overall I found the whole thing quite comical.

I love my Guardian. Over 1.8k hours on Guard alone. Even though I do enjoy playing other professions. Guard will always be my favorite, probably because it was my first.

Giving it to Mesmer is probably a bad choice.

Confusion + Torment = I can stand there and take damage. Or I can move/fight back and take even more damage!

A good Mesmer is already a pain to beat for a Guard. Oh well, just have to wait until the 25th and see.

Anet already stated that the current legendaries are not and won’t be added to PvP.

That being said, when Anet releases new legendaries down the road. I don’t see why there can’t be some only PvP legendaries.

I’m just going to pass on Effigies. Sitting at seven achievements. I’ll just finish up the story ones tomorrow, and bam wings. But I’m not going for all the achievements, so no need to waste my time.

NSP/FC/ET would be fun I think. NSP is the only lower tier server FC/ET hasn’t faced. I mean ET played SF and FC played IoJ, so I don’t see why it won’t happen.

It breaks stuns on all allies within effective range. Unless they bugged it one of the last couple of patches.

Been using this with 0/0/10/30/30. Trying to make a more bit more offensive healway build. Stats kinda everywhere. Probably need to get some new trinkets one day for it, but so far it works quite well.

Don’t see why there’s so much hate. Large scale fights aren’t really my forte, but the video isn’t bad. Deth is a good guild, and I’m glad they’re on FC.

Rich coffers are definitely not worth the money. When Dragon Bash started I bought quite a few, probably like most people. Didn’t really get anything.

So far I’ve got two tickets, all came from normal coffers.

Rich coffers should guarantee you a ticket if you’re going to use money. Like if you buy twenty you should be guaranteed to get one ticket.

In the description it’s called “magical flames”, so I’m guessing that’s why it doesn’t apply burning.

Really do wish it would remove conditions from yourself, it would help open up a lot of new builds.

Grinding it is stupidly easy. Just go to a starting area and one shot all the mobs.

Maybe they should each reduce down skills by like 5% or something. So if you trait both you get 10%. Could be useful if you go down a lot….lol

Well, the siege at FC Garrison was a blast late night/early morning. Was like two hours of fun, many more.

They work great, you just have to use them right. You can’t jump into the middle of a zerg then pop it, and be like lulz im invincible!

They’re support tools. You have to sit back, to make sure you give the skills off. Light of Deliverance is a game changer if you can get it off. Best to use Pacifism first, that’ll make LoD really only interruptible for two seconds.

So I decided to give this place a shot. Spent one hour there with 211% MF, and I was quite pleased. The screen is pretty much all the big things that dropped. So ya pretty good spot, I also got an Armored Scale from a tuna which was lol.

Quite a bit, but by no means are you going to be dying in two hits or anything like that. It’s just with this build you have to know your role. As long as you don’t get super focused fire, you’ll be fine.

Also I’d like to introduce a new variant of the Paragon build. Heavily based on meditations. It’s all in the link:

So why go meditations over shouts you may ask? Meditations are better for solo/roaming. They still work well in large groups, just less support. It’s generally seen as a selfish build, but whatever.

Also you can use Merciful Intervention. It’s not a bad meditation, just has a fairly long CD even when traited. But Monk Focus + Merciful Intervention is a good chunk of healing.

Whatever build you choose they’re both good. One is more group ordinated other is solo.

So I have a new build coming. Very strong, I’m talking about +10k Whirling Wrath and Zealot’s Defense. No joke! Highest being a 13k so far on a lowbie.

Yes it’s a dps build, not for the faint of heart. If you’re up to the challenge, enjoy seeing big number, or just want to try something new you should love it.

I’ll put the guide up sometime this week. Want to get some more gameplay first.

The reason I don’t find sPvP as fun as other mmos is the maps. They’re all just conquest points, that’s it. I love the combat, just playing conquest over and over again gets old fast.

Take SWTOR for example. Back when I played it there were only four maps.

Void Star- Attack and Defend
Hutt Ball- hmm don’t really know how to explain this one. But it was the best game mode ever!
Novare Coast- Conquest with a twist

The combat was just a WoW clone, but the maps is what made it great.

Another build you can try is 0/25/20/25/0. You’ll be getting 20% more dmg if your target has a condition, and you’re not at full endurance. You can also get larger/longer symbols or both if you want. Which would help a lot with the Symbol of Faith.
