Ya, this can be frustrating. I agree with lowering the chat suppression. As for the gold sellers. Block and report rather simple.

ET zerg golem rush.
Take everything back.
SF comes.
While fighting SF. ET comes back and takes everything.

Rinse and repeat. Don’t have the manpower or the time to upgrade anything.

Props for a good strat, but god it’s annoying.

I run with Salocinn in WvW, tPvP, and many other things. Have to say this build works great.

25/15/30/0/0 or something similar.

Probably could do it, if you stack a lot of Might plus full zerker. Problem is you are going to be so squishy, it’s not even funny.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but super high dps guards aren’t that good. Just roll a Warrior. Yes, Guards can do high dmg. Problem is you have to sacrifice a lot to do it, and a Warrior will still out dps by a long shot.

Depends on your target, but ya 12k is extremely unrealistic on that build even in full zerker.

Real enjoyable night/early morning.

Started with losing everything, took most of it back, then some nice fight, chasing Seven and King around, people thinking golems are battlebots, and finally ending with everything red again.

I just want to say great job to the night crew, you guys are awesome.

They’re only really a problem in sPvP. I’m really interested to see the thief change they talked about and if it will be in the next patch.

I think the problem with Necro is it’s a very unforgiving class. Other professions you can make mistakes and get away with it most of the time. Mistakes on Necro usually means death. So I can see how it can push a lot of newer players away, and lead to a lot of misconceptions about the class.

But that’ just my imo.

I’ve been playing around with it in PvP. A lot of fun and viable. I did switch out Fear of Death with Speed of Shadows like Spoj said. Running it with;

Consume Conditions
Blood is Power
Well of Suffering
Corrupt Boon
Flesh Golem

Seems interesting enough. Only thing I don’t understand is your trait choices in SR. You’re using Fear of Death and Decaying Swarm. Wouldn’t it be better to use a traits to benefit DS?

That’s how WvW is. Just last night/early morning there was both an ET and SF zerg on FC bl. Nobody cared who was who and just killed each other. A lot of fun too for everyone that was there.

That’s what happens when you have three teams, someone if eventually going to get double teamed. Sometimes it’s ET others it SF or FC.

From a dps standpoint Mesmer all the way. Mesmer has insane burst. From an animation standpoint Guardian.

Each minion can draw one condition every 10 seconds. So it’s possible for me to still get them if theres a lot.

Well it depends on the weapon, but for the most part I run Rage on my gs and Force on my hammer.

tPvP game play. Solo que with pugs (lol I know) vs. premade. Started with bunker then I go roamer just to show you guys fights, and the build.

Well with this build Blood Fiend does more good then consume conditions, plus I’m using Fetid Consumption.

I also do change out Bone Fiend for Flesh Wurm from time to time. I just like being more mobile so I use Bone more.

Mostly bunker, but I can do others. The build is good for adapting on the fly.

Yes, I use this build in tPvP. Works just as well. This was literally the last game I played, and I just recorded it to get a video up for the guide.

No, only the skill you have in healing slot.

So I’ve been playing Necro for awhile now, and I think it’s time I finally share my build. It’s pretty much two things people don’t put together. Conditions and Minions . So before we start let me list the pros and cons of this build.

Pros:
Survivability
Good sustained damage
CC galore

Cons:
No stun breakers
Somewhat vulnerable when minions are on CDs.

Let’s talk traits;
0/10/30/30/0

Terror- Must have for a condition builds.

Greater Marks- Staff will be one of your weapons. (Go over that later)

Flesh of the Master- 50% more hp for minions. Not much to say here.

Death Nova- The big one. Since this is a condition heavy build, this is one of the most important parts. Something people need to understand is that minions die, they’re supposed to die. So why not take advantage of this.

Bloodthirst- Great now that it works with Vampiric Master.

Vampiric Master- Minion’s attacks heal. Nuff said.

Fetid Consumption- This is a big one. Most MM builds lack condition removers. This fixes that problem, and with Putrid Mark from your staff. You shouldn’t have to worry about them much.

Weapons:
Staff w/Sigil of Corruption
Scepter w/Sigil of Agony
Dagger(offhand) w/Sigil of Energy

Skills:
Blood Fiend
Bone Minion
Shadow Fiend
Bone Fiend
Flesh Golem

Gear:

PvE/WvW: I run a mixture of Carrion and Rabid. I’ll post a screenshot of my stats, and I’ll go more in-depth if people want to know the exact pieces. As for runes x6 Mad King. Why you say? Once you hit 1000 condition dmg it’s better to go duration. Which Mad King gives you, and it also gives nice power buff. Also the Ravens work well with Flesh Golem.

PvP: Carrion Amulet w/Rabid jewel. Sadly Mad King Runes aren’t available in PvP. So, three Centaur and three Vampirism. This will give you; 125 power, 15% bleed duration, and life steal.

That pretty much covers everything. I recorded my last PvP match (nothing fancy) so you guys can see exactly how it play. It’s uncut so you can see everything (I make mistakes, but who doesn’t), not just clips of me owning people and not dying montage.

If people like this build; I’ll upload more videos later and go more in-depth. PvE/WvW/PvP doesn’t matter to me I do it all.

So I hope you guys enjoy.

HoD (or whoever moves down) is going to be just strong as SF. I don’t know why you guys think that once SF leaves, it’s all going to be flowers and candy.

I actually think Necro is in a really good spot right now. There’s some bugs that need to be fixed, but that’s about it.

If I didn’t have to trait 30 into Soul Reaping for stability. I’d be a happy camper, but hey you can’t have everything.

Sanctuary is pretty terrible tbh. Long CD even when traited. AoE can still hit you, hell even melee can hit you if they get as close as possible without touching it. Add in the fact that if they have stability they can just walk in. lawl

Oh and the size like you said doesn’t help.

When I first started to play necro I tried every build, except minions because people said how bad they are. Then one day I gave it a shot, and I haven’t looked back since. So much fun and it’s good too. Yeah sometimes the dumb AI not attacking and terrible pathfinding will get me killed. But overall I love this build. <3

Minions are awesome and underrated.

I’m all for giving this to Warriors. ATM it’s very hard for a warrior to beat a guard if they are equally skilled.

I pretty much shelved my warrior in PvP. Once in awhile I’ll jump on and play. For the most part it’s just incredibly frustrating. I tried every build comb and it’s always the same end results. Just swap for another profession, and hope anet fixes it.

Full condition dmg isn’t good for Guards. Burning sucks because it just stacks in duration. In PvE it works, but for WvW/PvP where people have multiple condition removers it’s not worth investing in.

Burning shouldn’t be your main source of damage.

Ya it seems to be around 50 seconds. Been using it the last couple of matches with my minion build and it works quite well. Probably stick with it. Most of the time I just used some type of condition runes, but this works MUCH better.

Love to try out Mad King, but sadly its not in PvP. Plus I’m not going to go drop 15g on some runes I can’t even test.

Mesmer definitely needed more buffs.

I think the highest person is getting close to 70. There’s not going to be an 80 for awhile.

Thieves do well in sPvP because the amount of people. Its easy for them to pick out weak targets quickly burst them down and get away, in the mass confusion of players. Same goes for WvW.

tPvP not so much.

They’re all good, with the exception of armor. If that got a reduced CD then it would be fine also.

Maybe it’s just me, but I find the daggers very underwhelming. Ofc Incinerator and Fractal looks good, but that’s about it. I went with Peacemaker since it does the best at matching my Immobulus.

Really? That would be cool. You’re not by any chance using 6 “Superior Rune of the Afflicted” are you? Be cause they also create a nova when downed.

No, using Lich. I thought at first maybe it was my minions, but this is happening when they’re all on CD too.

Yeah, its happening to a lot of people. Doesn’t help that the map is terrible in the first place either.

You can use any weapon combination you want. I just prefer gs/hammer for the CC and dps output.

Ya, ToR was a huge grind fest. If you thought ranking in GW2 was bad you haven’t seen anything. Then the gear gap was huge also.

All that being said. Huttball is probably my favorite mode ever made. <3

I enjoy it more then tPvP. Yeah, I said it.

I’m not super competitive, I do like to do tourney once in awhile when my guildies are on. I avoid soloing tPvP because that is…..lol

sPvP turns into a zergfest sometimes, but overall I like it all. +1100 games and counting. Enjoying every minute.

hmmm I haven’t played my Guard in a bit. Too busy with Necro. So I really don’t have that much ascend.

But you want to mix Cavalier with Berserker. Works good since Berserker also has Vitality now.

All Necro builds work well in PvP

Really depends on playstyle. For me personally. I run conditions most of the time, but I do love me some minions once in awhile.

Pretty much just play around and find what you like best.
