So are we ever going to get any type of fix or update? Or are you going to keep ignoring us and act like there’s not a problem.

Immobulus is the best scepter for Necro. I mean who doesn’t like Lucky Charms?

So I was playing around today, and stumbled across this. Most players just go full Zerker 100 blades, which gives you zero survivability. Well I found a way to keep most of the dps and add more survivability.

It was actually quite simple.

Standard traits;

20/30/0/0/20
x6 Runes of Lyssa
Valkyrie w/Zerker jewel
Greatsword w/Sigil of Accuracy
Sword/Shield w/Rage and Accuracy

I know what you’re probably saying. You’re crit chance is only 30%! Easy to fix, accuracy puts it up to 35%. Then with Heightened Focus lvl 3 gives you 44%, and finally with Fury you can get it to 64%. Which is respectable.

For skills I use:
Mending
Shake it Off
Frenzy
Bull’s Charge
Signet of Rage

What is nice about this is synergy with Lyssa. You now have three different condition removers. Using Mending now will remove two and gives you a nice random boon. Rage is what’s awesome. Remove all conditions and gives you all boons for five seconds, all on a 60 CD.

Been having a lot of fun with this build a lot better then the pure Zerker imo. Just wondering what you guys think.

Problem is your gear, you have full P/V/T on your armor. You have to mix. Like so, ya I know I have food and oil buff. Just trying to show it’s possible.

I’d change out the shield for the bow. Like others said, condition builds are going to eat you alive.

Also not a fan of the amulet choices.

Knight w/Berserker. Gives you like 21k hp or something, but no toughness at all. Full Berserker is even worse imo. I personally run Berserker w/Celestial or Soldier, but that’s just me.

Other then that it looks fine.

And it started again….

I had a few days where everything ran great. Now the dc and lag is back.

Guardian is fairly simple and easy to grasp.

I have four 80s, and Guard is still my favorite. So yes, it’s worth making.

Ferguson’s Crossing just opened.

You can add “Virtue of Courage” and “Retreat” for Guardians. They both give you Aegis.

So you just have to time it right, and you can block whatever CC they do.

I’m sure Anet doesn’t know how to balance it. So they left it alone. Lets say they buffed it to 75 or 100.

AH + ZB + Omnomberry Pie would be the most op thing in the game. You could run full zerker and still tank.

I hate Mesmer more then any other class.

Do I think they are an unstoppable OP death machine? No, ofc not. Could they use a nerf? Definitely yes.

I’ve been around the block a couple of times. 80 Mesmer/Guard/Warrior/Necro, +20k kills in WvW, and +30r pvp. Only class I can not stand now is Mesmer….

But that’s just me.

I also changed my gear around for PvE and WvW for this. Should be interesting since my condition dmg is still fairly high too.

Healing power doesn’t affect Zealous blade. It’s always 25. Which is why nobody ever runs it.

Also in PvP, the skills 1-5 doesn’t work on it. So it’s unusable.

This is pure speculation, but if you zoom out all the way you see a strange spot in the right top hand corner. Zoom in and you can make out islands and buildings.

It looks to be heavily based on underwater combat. This is the only place on the map that has buildings and such if you zoom in, rest is just blurred out. So I’m guessing this will be the next pvp map.

Since they fixed Pure of Voice, I went back to Save Yourselves. This fix is a major buff to this build. Even more effective now.

Pure of Voice is probably the biggest buff. <3

Hammer is probably my favorite weapon, great CC. Standard combo for me goes something like;

Zealot Embrace
Ring of Warding
Mighty Blow
Swap to greatsword
Binding Blades because by then your Ring of Warding should be finishing.
Pull them back Whirling Wrath and Symbol of Wrath.

But that is a perfect scenario. Most of the time you have to think on the fly. It becomes easy once you play for a bit.

Made two slight changes to the build. One being a trait and the other an utility. This is probably more of a personal preference thing, but I’ll share it anyways.

Switched out Empowering Might for Writ of Exaltation. This increases your symbol size around ~50%. You get a lot of benefits from symbols, and tbh the standard size is too small. Unless people are stacked right on top of you, which rarely happens. So bigger is always better.

Switched out Save Yourselves for Contemplation of Purity. I’ve been playing a lot of pvp lately, and there has been times where I just get destroyed by condition builds. The old build did a decent job of removing conditions, but there are times where I still got overwhelmed by them. This fixes that flaw. The great part about this is if you run x6 runes of Lyssa. You now have two Contemplation of Purity. One on a 60 second CD and the other 90.

Probably going to switch out Divinity for Lyssa later today. This combo is just too good.

I don’t mind ninja patching if it’s to fix something game breaking, but come on bag slots and bank tabs are 20% off in the Gem Store through February 26.

The only thing that changes with no food or oil is; crit chance goes to 30% and crit dmg is 74. Other then that it’s all the same.

hmm not much has changed. My guard only has one ascend piece right now, working on getting more. Most of them went to my warrior lol.

Well I run all my dungeons and fotm with this build. Only difference is I’ll change out the hammer for scepter/focus in some fights.

Great part about this build is it pretty much does everything. You “tank”, you support your teammates with constant boons. Plus removing conditions, and on top of it you still do decent damage.

I can’t tell you if you’ll like it or not. That’s something you have to play and deicide.

Well I give up on playing. I can’t go 15 minutes without disconnecting. Hopefully one day you fix this.

Anet doesn’t care for t8. This change will help the majority of wvw players. Why would they care about the minority suffering down at the bottom.

As long as the masses are happy who cares mentality. I can’t really blame them though, they’re trying to keep what player base they have left.

That’s what is bothering me more then anything. No update no nothing. They’re just ignoring it, acting like it will just go away.

We can’t even get “hey we are still working on it.” People would be a lot less irritated if you just response. Doesn’t matter if it’s good or bad news.

I’m pretty much done with WvW until SF moves up. I’ll go there for duels, but that’s about it.

Having too much fun in PvP anyways.

For support, I like Mace/Focus.

Auto attack at the end of the chain heals.
Symbol of Faith which heals.
Protection if your not stuck.
Cure conditions on allies and heals.
Then a nice block for you.

Well I originally had Strength on my GS and Battle on my Hammer.

It’s a great sigil, but the reason I stopped using it was I have plenty of other ways to gain might. As for Rage, it proc a lot for just being 10% chance. Only downside is the 45 second cd. Other then that I love it.

They are both great sigil can’t go wrong with either. Best thing is just to try them both out and see what u like. You can do this in PvP so you don’t have to waste gold on them.

As far as I know no temple has Knight gear (please correct me if I’m wrong). I know a few dungeon sets do, but I just bought all my Knight gear from the tp.

The main reason I use Rage is for the burst it will give you. When it procs your dps shoots up tremendously. Pure of Voice is a bit buggy right now.

Hold the Line. Sometimes it will remove a condition, but it never converts a condition into a boon.

As for Save Yourselves. The shout will remove all conditions from allies as part of the default behavior, but never converts them to boons. For yourself, it will never remove a condition.

I run all shouts still because it gives you enough benefits, even with it being bugged.

Might of the Protector gives you might when you block.

So yeah its far from up. I haven’t ran the signet in months.

Crafting is the fastest way if you have the gold. My last toon went from 60 to 80 in less then an hour.

Other then that just play the game. Group up with some friends and it doesn’t take long at all.

I’m here to post that I managed to solve my code 7 problem.

I did it by running DNS benchmark (specifically, Google’s namebench) and setting my DNS accordingly.

Prior to doing this, I get code 7 basically anytime. At most 2 minutes of game time before everything is unresponsive. Tried everything from -repair to constant ping to prevent modem idle, but nothing works. Now, my code 7 error is completely gone.

I don’t have any problem with downloads or with DotA 2 before (without this DNS settings), so I thought it’s on the server’s end. Turns out it’s on my ISP.

You folks may want to try. It certainly works for me.

On the bright side, my connection is even faster now.

Yeah tech support wasn’t any help at all. I’ve tried everything, even contacted my isp. I’ve been playing since the headstart, and NEVER had a problem. Then after the latest patch it happens all the time.

It’s really disheartening….

I enjoy Greatsword/Longbow or Greatsword/Hammer.

But as others have stated, there’s no “best” weapon. They each have a purpose, and you just need to choose the right one for your playstlye.

I ran into a bug which I can’t sell items on the trading post. It works fine with my other character, but on my Warrior only three items will come up. I tried logging out and restarting, but it doesn’t work. Help.

So, I have a question. I crafted Volcanus awhile back on my Guardian, but haven’t used it since I got since Sunrise. I recently got a 80 Warrior, and was thinking of using Volcanus on her. Is there anyway to make this work?

If I can’t could I use a Black Lion salvage kit, and salvage it to get the mats back. Then make a new one?
