GW2 would sooner go on a Steambox/ Steam OS than a ps4.

They only made the current cap 80 so people from other mmos would have an easier time to relate to alittle bit of the grind they were familiar with. But the devs ideal is to have horizontal progression from that point onwards.

Its like how there are no hearts in Orr after a while you don’t need the hand holding. GW1 got along fine with just 20 levels with any extra skill points used for crafting or consumables. Its not like any skill points you have now are going to waste with all the things you can craft with it.

I never really counted how much it cost to level up to 500 then mats to make, I just save mats, Salvaged and crafted as I was playing the game either k-traing in wvw or pve boss trained in the world.

I myself really like killing things then pressing the desposit collectables after salvaging in the middle of a battle, i just like to micro manage. on the go.

or you could Guest to a server Like Maguuma and join us for our daily boss trains at server reset I get at least a stack a day.

I’m sorry but Crafting is just Dirt cheap in this game, and compared to other mmos its the most user friendly and casual experience ever with nothing ever going to waste. I’ve tried and hated crafting in any other game but GW2 actually makes it worth while to spend the 5 mins a day to look up discoveries to make something that was stored and organized for you.

You don’t Need the Asended gear it really makes no difference. 4.91% stats 5% if celestrial.

Hi, I have been playing guardian for a while now and I am tired of shifting my hand of the WASD button to use skills. I have been trying to think of good guardian bindings but can not think of any comfortable to me. By the way I am right handed so i don’t have a strong pinky or ring finger on my left hand. please leave suggestions down low for me.

Are the inner workings of the ascended armor always white, or can they be dyed too?

you can dye the inners i just like celestial white cause with the patina gold it gives it that European Royal look.

The helm kind of feel like its based off of the Celestrials from Marvel comics. if that’s the case I’m glad it turned out like this rather than Galactus, but I can see how any mix and match can still look better.

Its too bad not everyone know how to dye it before generating a preview, the ones you see on google look horrible.

There was hardly any effort put into those achievements. Most of them you end up doing if you were doing your dailies. What’s there to complain about? It’s a well given out reward and too generous of Anet to reward players for doing what they been doing anyways. Look on the bright side. At least some of the people gets some kind of bragging rights?

While just doing the achievements unlocked the chest. That’s not the problem. The issue is that we were lead to believe that the rewards at the end were tied to the overall performance of our servers. yet Gold league rewards aren’t that much better than bronze, the finishers aren’t perma, and there is nothing distingusing for doing the longest meta in the games history at all.

what is it to change? you deserve that kind of reward since your server performance is swarming enemies like hordes of insects, you are entitled to get a insect scale reward.

i also get the same reward, rubbish really but i dont mind because along the 7 week long season i gained 100+ wvw level, 12 exotics drops, 8% passive magic find, bags from champions, tons of materials and gold, some achievement point, in game skill and experience and most precious of all i get to read complaints about rewards like this.

i would say i am blessed with the rewards cannot say the same about you

My rewards in 6th place Gold League are the same as Bronze after all that work and coordination between commander’s, and guilds my server went through.
Its not just about entitlement, Even though A-net DID SAY we would get rewards based on our server’s performance.
Its about being fair. I’m a crafter I actually use everything I’m given, you could say I see the eventurality of rewards like dragonite and bloodstone dust, but even I can’t justy vaule the reward to the one week it took me on a motivated server, when in that same time there were much better opportunities to progress to my acsendeds/legendaries.
You can Argue that synergies would make up the difference. However, A-net did lead everyone to believe that LS and this special tourney being the center of attention was the path to riches tied to server performance. The mixed messages that were sent would confound any gamer trying to get ahead to go in one direction or another, with no good results either way. Simple put A-net did set themselves up for the backlash this time.

Jokes on Anet I left right after I got the key from the meta early to focus on PVE Champ trains for 6 weeks, and I didn’t even need to transfer to get to Gold League Maguuma!

However, It was still intense with so much organizing, between various commanders, and guilds. That as a whole, we DO deserve better than the rewards that have been posted. There was a huge build-up and hype, that I will not be hesitatant to call A-net out on Bait and Switch tactics here. This is coming from a Long time Fan of the franchaise.

They Should be grateful we don’t leave the game in Droves (just wvw). Back to PVE profit and shinny land, one hour of a champ farm train gets me more stuff than that past 7 weeks.

I’ll just brush this incident off as charity work and accept their hummble gifts. while I get back to playing the game for the rewards I want.

When i first saw a Hoard of Ascended Materials I was like Deldrimor Steel! Spirit Wood! Dark Matter! Nope , fine print says just the brick, star, and ingot, and not even in the basic form for me to level a crafter with. guess i’ll just be doing it for the Achievement points.

I’m in the market for a new TV to play gw2 with in my living room, are there any specs that i should be aware of? 60hz or 120hz? I’m looking at 48-50’.

I doubt we shall hear of anything about linux support while GW2 still has its focus on content for us and on its release in China.

On the Steam side of things. they still haven’t launched their boxes, yet. Even though most elightened people with an extra computer lying around can just install ubuntu with steam on it and hook it up to their TV.

Those two things aside, I wouldn’t worry about the “If” so much as the “When”. its going to happen. GW1 is already on Steam, and all of gw2 can already be play on a controller. So historically and right now the pieces are in place. There’s just really no need to rush when there are priorities to take care of by booth steam and Anet before this will take off.

That makes sense, instead of it being a precursor right away, have the quest avalible to go along with it. There would be lots of potentials for a personal story with this. It would be like Zelda’s Skyward Sword where you would be upgrading your weapon along the way to become the Master sword, Maybe have story mode abilities along the way for the quest, along with Small cosmetic changes. so precursor won’t have to look so blend.

I mean most people that would use their precursors would probably like a better look to it while they gather the rest of what they need to finish the Legendary, and that would certainly still take some time.

Oh I forgot that This could be the solution to bring precursors in as something that could be done over time. Not exactly a quest, but still requires significant resource and time investment from the player.

I’m curious to know what people would think if Anet implements this. Right now Ascended weapons are account bound as soon as they are crafted. So they won’t directly compete with the precursors that are already on the Trading post or change much for people who are invested in the business making or selling vast quantities of rares for mystic forging.

If Asceneded weapons could also be used as precursor for their respective Legendaries the mats would might go up in price. but that could also be helpful to those who just have a few extra ascended materials laying around with no intension of making anymore.

So maybe couple this change with allowing the sell of bloodstone dust and dragonite?

I’m just saying, that it might not be that much work for them to tap into console players, which is a large player base. Since everyone is anticipating next gen consoles now, this is possible. Realistically It’ll probably come to past once the SteamOS proves itself, because as you said Anet would rather focus on developing their game as they should.

It’ll just be a shame, since dosen’t go directly against their plans to not support consoles at this time.

Well all of GW1 is on steam, I think its a high possiblity once everything gets settled with the OS launch, and they release the Skills Template, to make it more convient to set up a controller, even though that can still be done now.

Unlike Diablo 3 which isn’t even crossplatform, I’m sure the GW2 comunity would be Far more accepting of console players given the chance. I for one would be more than willing to buy another account for a steam console. If i could play with a friend on the TV while i play on the PC that’s next to it.

I hated the Trinity, was one of the major reasons ( the sub being the other) I and serveral of my friends left WoW.

Hello I’m certain that I’m not the only one that sees the benefit in giving their old magic find set over to an alt, but i seem to have some difficulty doing so. When i put a piece of gear into the bank from my Main, my ALt cant’ pick it up because its still soulbind

When I change the stats on the item from my alt from the bank slot its still resulted in it being Soulbind to my Main. I was under the impression that the gear was suppose to be account bound to begin with.

Yeah I’m regretting going full mf eveyday. I hate carrying the extra set of gear, its actually double the cost and work, no to mention, swaping weapons for the MF kililng blow is annoying. I would also like MF , or healinger or condition damage for that matter to show up on the character screen,. It dosen’t make sense to have states that don’t display on the chart.

If it makes you feel better we die get a couple of hardcores in our guild that got 2 precusors each themshelves, Grants they had characters slots one for each class. So the moral of the story is to get all alts up to 80. GW1 was like that too in the that more characters that have great access to explore more have a greater chances are to acquire rewards.

just come back once everything is settle and stable, I give up on prophcies cause i had no idea what was going on. But then I came into guildwars from Nightfall when things really got into high gear. never regretted the break I took inbetween.

I really don’t want to re-program my keypad to use this because that would mean adding a button as I swap to change the presets. Can’t we just re-arrange the skills ourshelve like in the first Game?

I’m so confused Its actually 14235 now ugh, anyways seishrio key-pad macros have a button for changing presets so i can go back to normal 12345 for other weapons sets But its still annoying cause I’ll have to press that extra button which would make or break me.

Priory - my Main Main Guardian for healing gear rewards and Cause Priory is has OP artifacts and gadgets. this storyline is the easiest

Vigil - Elementalist ( the mentor tanks for me)

whispers - Ranger or theif for their sneaky hit and run type missions

Call me totally self conscious but I need to be able to see how other people see me, Its part of my mental health, I need that digital mirror to reaffirm my identity and accomplishments.

In guild wars 1 it was done via self targetting. Now I understand self target is all streamlined, so maybe if we just have a toggle to see our name,guild,tag,title, star would be great thanks.

I’ve finished the story with the priory, but it shouldn’t matter, because as the commander of the pact I should be able to go through the Gate from the whispers caven to save me some silver. Instead I only get a one way option, the guard inside the trinity customs lets me out, the guard outside doesn’t let me in.

All I wanted was a way to save a little money going from lion’s arch to Arah directly would cost me 4 silver!

I’ve submitted this under the support already but the issue was close before it was resolved. I originally have the digital deluxe edition (DDE) but foolishlyt deleted the character that received the boosts and mini because he didn’t have the HoM stone on him so i thought he was bugged and that the items were like the ring Account based.

So I went on the Black Lion store and PAID another 2000 gems for an upgrade cause i really want my mini rylock back and I got nothing in the mail. I’ve paid twice for the same game.

Now granted I’ve waited 2 weeks already for all the mass mail problems to be sorted out, but now I need a real person not a well written automatic response, because I did get double handled. I shouldn’t have been allowed to purchase the upgrade if i already had it, Or it should have been made clear that the DDE boons where one time only on the first character with no HOM which was NOT mentioned, causing all this confusion.

I really need a person to talk to either on the public forums or on the support acount, I know I can’t be the only one with this type of issue.
