Tifa Ran/Ranger with a Pet
Commander WvW – Henge of Denravi
Yes, Battlecamp is back!! Look forward to his presence in your local BL.
What is Kainengs infatuation with HoD? Decide to give ET a break?
We don’t like picking on T8 servers.
That’s funny, considering that HoD is rank 21 and ET is rank 22. Not much difference in rank. You should share your “love” equally.
What is Kainengs infatuation with HoD? Decide to give ET a break?
Nah, I think they fear the newly motivated ET. Plus they know we have lots of folks zerging in the Pavilion and aren’t in WvW in sufficient numbers to stop them.
You still gotta love how the zerging side always denies having a big zerg. NSP was notorious for this. They “never” zerged, or so they claimed. We just faced one KAIN zerg a bit ago in HoD BL. At least 40. Couldn’t really slow them down with all 10-15 of us. We were “outnumbered” according to ANeT’s weird outnumbered calculator.
Anyway, Noobie, you gotta get out more and see what’s going on around your server if you don’t believe in the 50+ zerg. Sigh.
I’m calling it now: Our “random” matchup next week will be Eredon Terrace / Blackgate / Jade Quarry
lolol
Ahhh hell no, Jade Quarry doesn’t want to face you, Jade Quarry only wants to face the best.
When Jade Quarry faces chump servers like ET and HoD all it does is drop our rating. Jade Quarry is the #1 WvW server right now but due to terrible matchups Jade Quarry cannot be the #1 even though it is the #1.
When you want WvW you come to Jade Quarry, when you want access to CoF (and other PvE related things) you come to Jade Quarry, when you want to PvP you come to Jade Quarry. Jade Quarry #1 server overall NA.
When you want to zerg pointlessly, you go to Jade Quarry. When you want to have the most boring WvW day, you go to Jade Quarry. When you’re feeling lazy and want to have absolutely no skill and just press 1 all day, you go to Jade Quarry.
When you want to brag and embarrass your server, you go to Jade Quarry.
HoD vs DR dance off at north camp. Rose says we win, sorry DR.
‘Cause this is thriller, thriller night
And no one’s gonna save you from the beast about to strike
You know it’s thriller, thriller night
You’re fighting for your life inside a killer, thriller tonight
Loving your garrison HoD! Had to log off and detag after we took Bluebriar but it was a good NSP group. Thanks to all who took part!
Then you weren’t the commander we spiked in the Lord’s Room in our garrison shortly after you logged.
Why is HOD so obsessed with SM? Just seems like they have to have that big castle to look cool since they in last place as always. SM just seems like a supply waste to me.
If your server is so unconcerned with SM then why try to take it back? Your statement is stupid, with the massive DR/NSP zergs that have been defending it.
So if SM is truly unimportant, I want both DR and NSP to let HoD have it for the rest of the week and never attack it again – not even trebbing the walls or attacking the guards. Then Buffy’s words will make sense.
Ah, thanks. I’ll check that out later today. Running a room at a convention at the moment.
The Zenith skins that we receive from the achievement chests should be account bound until they are used by a specific character on your account, thus soul bound on use. The achievement chests are based on your accomplishments for your account as a whole not based on a specific character. One of my skins will now go to waste due to them being soul bound on acquire.
Sigh. I know that the puzzle in EB is a WvW puzzle, but we were being nice to IoJ and NSP and our kindness was re-payed with betrayal. We let so many go by unmolested too. Anyway, no skin off our back. We can get it done later. And our Mesmer thanks your thief for the badge.
I don’t know whats going on but literally everyone on IoJ borderlands is getting timed out. Like every 5 mins 10-15 players get dc’ed. It’s only on IoJ borderlands too, literally our whole server is dc’ing in our own borderlands…just our BL… this is BS and anet needs to fix this.
We had folks getting DC’d(code7) last night too. I had it happen 7 times in WvW. Logged back in dead in LA.
Great compilation. 2 thumbs up.
Great compilation. 2 thumbs up.
So. It has come to this then has it?
I’m getting messages sent to me, calling me names, hoping that me and my children get cancer.
I’m out!
You can go stew in your own importance and revel in the fact that you have wrapped up all your self worth and self esteem in a kill/death ratio of an online game.
Really not worth my time.
Just report them.
Well a few people from BP have been on here saying we should learn like they did, maybe they can help out a guy from a T8 server and share some tricks?
I would like to learn where to place AC’s outside the north inner gate of Hills to be able to hit like this. I have other pics taken before this where the AC’s followed me back all the way from the supply near the gate.
The circles tracked me back all the way from they supply which is a pretty huge field of fire.
With the new extra range skill and the right placement to see through the gate, not to mention no one killing the AC in question before it can wreak havoc, you can target quite far in past the gates. And if there’s a big moving target in range, it is AC feed.
Well, this week is over. As of right now BP has every. Single. Keep. And Stonemist, and 18 towers. Looks like I’ll be doing a lot of map completion until Friday.
Enough with the negative waves.
Any score update? At work for another 3 hours, bleh.
Score update? It’s basically over for HoD. 8 hours into the matchup and basically spawn camped already.
Not much point playing WvW this week; not much point playing GW2 at all for that matter.
Wish Arkham Origins was out.
Wow. As someone who used to play on HoD (although I never WvW’d at the time), this is the exact kind of mentality I did not expect to see from your server.
That’s right. Not the general attitude to expect. See you on the field of battle.
Yes, Grommet, SF has enough to attack 3 or 4 different directions, we all know. They were being “helpful” at the time to you though. Nice to know that you actually have the numbers to produce a zerg. I bet you’re hiding at least 2 more zergs somewhere in a dolyak.
We were a little chaotic tonight. At least so it seemed to my guildies.
Oh, well, still had lots of good fights. I enjoyed it.
ET whines about such low numbers. LOL. They had plenty of zerg numbers. Not to mention SF was kind of lending a hand. hmmmm.
Props to my guys from [Mend] and our allies in FAIL and FKB this evening with the hills cap in SF bl followed by an extremely long fortification and defense period where we were immovable. The last fight was intense as well, the fight with 6 golems and 50 people, give or give 50.
However, I would like to draw attention to the fact that we had a waypoint, nanynanypoopoo…
Thank you and goodnight!
It was a glorious battle. Thanks for holding them so long on the inner walls outside the Lord’s Room. Mortars can be so much fun. Thank you to SF for their generous donations to my loot collection.
Seems outmanned flat-out isn’t working. No that it matters when SF can field 4x our numbers consistently. Ridiculous imbalance is NOT the way to make WvW more fun, ANET. At least fix your kitten game to apply the buffs that are supposed to be there.
You know that outmanned only works when big servers field 5x your numbers.
There are buffs in PVE land that you can take into WvW.
So it already does.
I believe the idea is the reverse of WvW giving you bonuses PVE for having scored well in WvW. You have noticed the bonuses that your server gets thanks to the efforts of the WVW players, haven’t you?
So, say we give bonuses to WvW for say – number of players completing dailies, having story-lines complete, doing group events…etc. Obviously it needs a lot of thought of what you would actually include. The idea has merit in my opinion. Worth looking into at least.
Basically, it will be a surprise. What server will be behind door number 1? 2? 3? We’ll find out at reset time.
Then you have never run with a ranger who knows how to truly play a ranger and help create a winning situation. Since you are so concerned about builds you have lost sight of skill and tenacity. You may say you have, but your overall attitude is one of “We don’t really need rangers.”
The key is, a decent build – it doesn’t need to be maximum, good equipment, a cooperative attitude, and skill. That’s true of all classes.
I add lots to synergy. It’s all in how you play. When playing you never have any idea what a person’s build is. If I was in your team/group/zerg with my build you’d never be able to tell the difference between me and others. If people are helping and your team/group is successful, the build is meaningless. If you are not following instructions and running off in all directions you aren’t adding to the overall synergy.
My guild is primarily PVE. We know how to add to a group’s synergy and support the group as a whole. We learned to play our classes. I wouldn’t be successful in WvW if I didn’t know how to be part of the group.
Ranger is the primary class I play. I have a Thief(80), Engineer(80), Elementalist(44), Warrior(80) and Guardian(80). I’ve finished the PVE story line with 4 of the 6 characters.
I built my ranger in PVE long before going to WvW. Leveled all the way up to 80, picked up all exotic armor/jewelry and made exotic weapons for myself. The build I run is thus:
Long Bow, Sword/Horn(I have other types of weapons but run mostly this)
20, 20, 10, 15, 5
It’s a fairly balanced build and I do quite well in both WvW and PVE. I recommend to any player trying any class – do PVE for a while and learn your skills and discover what works for you. In PVE you can get extremely good equipment and you learn to use your character instead of just following the zerg and shooting. It’s only a recommendation – some players don’t like PVE very much and stay exclusively in WvW.
Zero Invulnerable Abilities: Hmm….while stealthed cannot be target by direct fire weapons even if you’re standing 1mm in front of an engineers shotgun blast.
Zero boons: Who cares?Joke of the day. Engineer with zero CD on swap weapon say this drivel ?
Of course, the engineer has no aoe skills
L2P problem is detected
And yet another L2P answer. No defense that can be offered, use the noob reply. Standard.
The engineer needs to have that little explosion available. Unlike Rangers, Elementalists and such, it’s not that simple of an aoe solution. Anyone stupid enough to walk into the middle of an engineer turret-fest needs to L2P – it usually only takes one turret cluster bomb. I do love exploding turrets, but that wasn’t what I was talking about in the THIEF thread. A thief is invulnerable to any direct fire damage while stealthed. If it can’t be targeted it can’t be damaged. And even better for the thief, We don’t get to see that lovely little “invulnerable” message popping up on the screen as our fire passes through the invisible, vapor-like thief.
And instead of using the L2P answer, try offering the answer, or pointing someone to the wiki answer on GW2. That would show that you actually know how to play and how to be a polite “neighbor”. Good players help others.
look at pvp all you see is heartseek spamming noobs .
why are you whining then? who’s the worse noob? the guy spamming hss or the one getting killed by it?
yeah i forgot we have infinite dodge rolls
/sarcasm
learn to time dodges then. i know, running to the forums crying ‘op’ is easier.
my point is a traited thief wont lose all their initiative by spamming heartseeker
also it is just as ignorant to defend an op clas telling everyone else its their fault and to l2p
OP class
OP=underpowered or what ?
Thief:
Weakest healing in the game
Least health pool
Medium armor
Zero boons abilities
Zero invulnerable abilities
Middle mobility
Middle DPS
1-3 support abilities (two make only stealth, one block projectile)
OP F1 abilities /sarcasm
OP Utility slot skills /sarcasm3x stealth abilities-1x weapon slot skill 2x utilities slot.
Yeah Thiefs Are OP !!!!
Weakest healing? I’ll give that to the Engineer. Mine can heal just fine.
Medium Armor – Rangers, Engineers, Thieves
Least Health pool? – You chose that. Mine runs around with around 20,000 health.
Middle Mobility – Excuse me?? Mine can weave in and around combat dropping caltrops galore, jump in real fast and exit real fast.
Zero Invulnerable Abilities: Hmm….while stealthed cannot be target by direct fire weapons even if you’re standing 1mm in front of an engineers shotgun blast.
Zero boons: Who cares?
Also, if they happen to be in the way of direct fire weapon or attack, it SHOULD hit them. They aren’t vapor.
First time go on gw2 wiki and learn mechanisms of this game, because all attacks hurt Thief in stealth and you say there’s only mystification
Good, so you agree with the rest of my statement then. And since they can’t be “targeted” in stealth direct fire attacks can’t harm them. I’m saying that if they step in front of an arrow or rifle shot, it should hit them.
And spiking is definitely directly damages someone. As soon as the press “F” to finish someone they should automatically appear. It should be that way with anyone who is in stealth. Spiking is very visual and there’s no way you can hide what you’re doing from an opponent.
When spiking a downed player they should automatically come out of stealth until they are done spiking. It is a grandiose, slow move of victory when you spike someone, so it should be seen by all.
And any and all aoe should affect them, plus knock them out of stealth for extra time. Cannons, Trebs, Catapults. Any time they are hit while in stealth they should automatically become visible. Something like losing their concentration.
Also, if they happen to be in the way of direct fire weapon or attack, it SHOULD hit them. They aren’t vapor.
It wasn’t deleted. Check page 2. It just wasn’t posted in.

And in HoD. 3 nights in a row we have had server kicks and roll back issues.
Yep, I’ve had my entire computer freeze in the middle of the game. Never happened before. Had the third freeze just now. Then the GW2 server won’t let me or my guild friends back in.
Same thing happened to me, but ive been experiencing full system crashes to a blue screen of death stating irql is not less or equal to…I’m not sure if this is an issue with my computer ( which i just built 6 months ago) or a game issue.
My system only crashes when playing this game
And mine didn’t crash on the game until just recently. I have to press the power button to get out of the frozen screen.

I have improved myself and my observations stand. And my argument on one of them is quite logical. The other needs a little work, but it is sound as well.
The portal ability would be still be very useful to a party or a small group(not partied up) in any situation. If your only reason not to is because it would nerf the “portal bomb” tactic then my reason is more logical. And items are items and are in your inventory, while people are people and are external to the player, so the 250 port is a straw man argument.
I appreciate your input.
You are correct about the straw man argument.
I will instead argue that limiting portal capacity to party size is no more or less arbitrary than limiting them to squad size.
Squad size is much larger than 20 though, maybe 60 or so? Is there even a limit aside from the map size limit?
My suggestion is so the ability isn’t too overtly powerful we split the difference between party size limits and squad size limits, say at 20 or so. That sounds like a fair compromise.
If we go by traditional army definitions a squad is 8-13 in size, a platoon is 26-64, and a company is 80-225. So if we reduced the portal limit to 8-13 I would be satisfied.
Heibi, it seems that you’re so certain of yourself. Are you sure there is an imbalance, not just a learn to play issue? And that “solutions” aren’t needed? All your suggestions are based on “mesmers’ clones and portals are overpowered and should be nerf’d”. What if that assumption is just ridiculously wrong? Quit saying other people didn’t give you any feedback.
On topic: thieves are fine. They’re very annoying when you’re trying to get to the group, but as far as I know, they don’t really contribute much when it comes to larger battles.
I’ve been playing GW1 and GW2 from the beta. I’m very experienced. My ideas are based on observations of mesmers from both the receiving end and being on the giving end by having a mesmer by my side.
I’ve posted my ideas and most came back with the “I know more than you” or the you’re a noob attitude. So far only one true constructive response has been made.
So does anyone have a solution based idea to add to or expand on my ideas? i.e. A way to balance the mesmer, not how to spot a mesmer and such.
I do.
Work on the viability of some of the builds of other classes.
Mesmers are fairly useful in large groups and small and they aren’t instawrecking anyone who isn’t asking for it.. They are in an ok place.
It sounds like you’re having trouble spotting the real mesmer. That is a “learn to play” issue (no offense intended, we all have to learn to be better before we are better) and we shouldn’t really be discussing class balance from that standpoint.
You come close to being constructive, but you still are missing the point of the discussion. My portal suggestion is quite a logical extension of the party size limits put on us. My clone suggestion needs work but I believe the clone functions should be more curtailed. So far most responses have been, “learn to play”, “my thief can take them”, “don’t play crap build”, and the like. None of which address my post’s ideas.
Do you have any reason to nerf portal other than “5 is the size of a group so it should be 5?” That seems an arbitrary reason to nerf a useful utility to the point where it would see little to no use. I don’t see any more logic in your reasoning than if you were to say “the max stack size of items is 250 so why not allow 250 people to portal.”
If, however, portals were only useable by group members I would see a basis for your reasoning, but that mechanic would make the max number irrelevant.
With my main point being rather than nerf portal, work on the other classes abilities so that they are more useful and more in line with the mesmer’s usefulness, I wonder if it is really me who missed the point.
Bear in mind, disagreement with your point does not indicate that I have missed your point.
If ANeT is limiting party size to 5, then the portal’s maximum number of portiers should be 5. If the max party size were 20 I wouldn’t have an issue with it. So if they increase party size to 6 or 8(like in GW1) I would have no issue if the max number of porters equaled the max number of possible party members. Thus, the mesmer could port any number up to the maximum party size.

I don’t play a thief nor have I ever played one. I dislike the play style greatly. I my opinion they are not overpowered. They are good at 1v1 and getting way. Either use cc with allies to stop them or run a good solo class urself. Stop complaining
I’m not talking about thieves. I’m saying that mesmers are overpowered. And I’ve offered some possible solutions. You are not being constructive in your comment. If you weren’t referring to my posts I apologize. If you were, you may want to look at my original post – thieves were not mentioned.
So does anyone have a solution based idea to add to or expand on my ideas? i.e. A way to balance the mesmer, not how to spot a mesmer and such.

Elano, that still doesn’t deal with the imbalance. Solutions are needed, not, “I know more than you” statements. Mesmers are clearly overpowered. I think I’ve spotted the real mesmer at times only to be incorrect. And the portal bomb is way too overpowered. Party sized ports should be the limit. The WvWorlders will come up with a tactic, like more mesmers, to overcome that limit. Spam clones should be addressed.
How often do you do duels against mesmers? Mesmer is a though opponent, but not more though than a good d/d ele for example.
I think I’ve spotted the real mesmer at times only to be incorrect.
Finding the real mesmer should be trivial in WvW setting where food buffs spoil any cover clones might give.
And you still haven’t done anything but talk about spotting and how thieves are so great. How about a little constructive comment. Like how to balance out the mesmer. Pluses and minuses of what I suggested. Anything other than “I know more than you” and such.

I am by far no expert on mesmers.
That you clearly aren’t.
So instead arguing against the merits of my ideas, or come up with a better solution, you take the lower road. Any class should have a chance to defeat any other class if the balance was there. Clearly, the balance is out of whack when it comes to the mesmer. I think the most logical adjustment would be the portal option. The clone adjustment definitely needs work. That is why I said they were IDEAS.
I thought of a couple fixes(and they will be consider a massive nerfs) that might balance out the Mesmer overpowered state. Mesmers are great to have around in PVE and WvW. Love them. But I think the Cloning/Portal abilities are way too abused and need another adjustment. I am by far no expert on mesmers. This comes from observing mesmers in action. These are just ideas.
My ideas:
1. A mesmer’s portal can only transport the equivalent of a party – 5 players. After which, it vanishes. Makes sense because the maximum number in a party is 5, so why are they allowed to transport 20?
2. The cloning ability. Needs a massive recast time adjustment – doubled(or substantial enough not to allow spamming). Durability of clones reduced – halved. Max number of clones able to spawn at a time needs to be brought down.
These are just ideas.
So when is SF going to get promoted to Tier 2? They have the numbers for it. Every battle we fight against them every day, and I mean every day, they have a zerg 6 to 7 times our size. They’ve already nearly out done us by 40,000pts in under 5 days. The balance is completely not there. I have no idea why they’re in Tier 7, let alone why they were even in 8. Makes WvW very unappealing. almost makes you want to recommend the entire server just refrain going to WvW and let them toot their horn. No fun when you have no chance. I’m sure the Tier 8 folks felt the same way.
They have 24hour a day coverage with numbers beyond reckoning. Of course there’s no such thing as Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large servers for WvW. It’s just larger servers beating on small servers and bragging about it.
4 weeks “Grind” time between guild mission types is far to long
Simple as the title says, After I unlock guild rushes this weekend I still have to wait 3 weeks to get enough merits for the next mission and then a week for research times. This includes that my guild gets 100% of all of the merits we can earn each week.
After that I can earn 80 merits a week and need 250 for the next meaning with the 20 merits I currently have I still need to wait another 3 weeks and 1 week research time to get the final mission type.
I have one of if not the largest on my server, yet we still have an insane grind that we can’t really speed up unless you find saving up over half a million influence to rush 1 of these upgrades to finish a week sooner reasonable.( I don’t)
The guild mission update arrived a month ago and it takes a huge guild 3 months to unlock that content. I don’t know about the rest of you but that is insane, a smaller guild will struggle even longer.
If these missions had been around since the start of the game this kind of grind would be fine but forcing it on us now with a staggered 3 month release as the fastest time to get basic content we should have had at game release punishes all of the players ingame.
Small guilds might as well give up on seeing all of the missions anytime soon unless they somehow make 50,000-100,000 influence a week
/endrant
Leaving aside our past differences, I completely agree here, and with several of your posts that appear later on page 44 of this thread.
Basically the content that was added didn’t add as much as was hoped for and they made it a grind to get. Big guilds don’t find it challenging enough and small guilds find it too difficult, if not impossible to accomplish.
Pro:
Nice idea to add interesting/new content.
Cons:
Time limits, wandering bounties in huge zones, low reward for external participants(they may only get a chance to take out one of the bounties and only receive standard event rewards and no drops – happened to me and my guildies in Frostgorge), high cost and long research time to even do new content, added months after release, poor/misleading roll out advertising on new content, and more.
Maybe we will agree more as time passes. Olive branch passed.
I agree with phoenix. I know it sucks that smaller guilds have a hard time completing
@That other guy, I proved that your assumptions about me were far from the truth and the opposite of what nonsense you came up with.
I don’t really consider 5 guildies much of a guild since that’s exactly a party. Sure you technically are a guild but in my opinion you need more than that to be a real community, chances are only a few of you will be online at once which means you don’t even have a party worth of players online.
Ah, so we’re here trying to justify ourselves. The snobbish response I’ve come to expect. And you just proved my observations yet again. We are not worthy of your presence. Notice, we’re now a FAKE COMMUNITY if we’re a small guild.(BTW, we always have enough for a standard party – so much for your assumptions)
We’ve earned 13000 influence since the release of the Guild Missions making that 29000 – not going to waste anymore influence until they come up with a fix. We’re already Tier 4 on all but one area and Tier 5 on that one along with lots of upgrades in each area. All that with a guild of 12(7 truly active)
ANET, do you see what you have created here in Phoenix’s attitude? A massive class system of haves(who look down on everyone and don’t really have to work hard for influence) and the people who actually are working to reach the goal of completing the content through hard work because they don’t have the numbers for easy influence gathering.
And here is the perfect example of the new ANET two tier/class system for guilds. Phoenix has just demonstrated the big guild snob class society created by ANET. You have the big guild class and the small guild class. Small guilds are just trying to have fun, and participate in world events. They tend to call on others for help or conversely respond to others’ calls for help. Big guilds, at least as demonstrated by Phoenix’s attitude, are the snob class – they ignore anyone not in their guild, monopolize events, flood zones with their zergs and ruin the fun for everyone else. He basically demonstrates how big guilds can now justify and are looking down on everyone else. WoW has invaded GW2 in full force.
you talk about things you know nothing about at all, its embarrassing. Choosing to make a larger guild doesn’t mean I don’t play for fun and i refuse to help, more the opposite since large guilds don’t stay large without a good community.
we have guilds of different sizes, Anet made an event designed for 15 players to complete which guilds of below that aren’t happy about. I don’t think its fair that those guilds are asking for events to be made easier so they can play when larger guilds would be punished.
If guilds can go to 500 man, asking for events that require only 15 guys to finish to be made easier is unfair on the majority of players. The problem is when small groups feel entitled to have the same powers a larger group has, its impossible to make a mission fair if a mission that required 50 players has the same reward as one that required 5.
You wouldn’t expect to finish a dungeon with 1 player would you?
Now to prove you have no idea what you’re talking about. I have one of the largest guilds on my server, and because of this earn a lot of influence ingame. What do I do with this influence? I invite all guilds no matter what size to join guild missions every other day. On Sundays we have a guild only mission, but we then have 3 or 4 other nights where players from smaller guilds get to join a mission paid for by my guild. My guild is made up of a number of other guilds who wanted to stay together but benefit from a larger community which is something I agree with and I give them their own space in my community so they can stay as a group.
I spend half of my time running my guild and the rest in newbie zones helping players rush skill points or telling them how to play an engineer.
Don’t be delusional enough to think that large guilds are super evil companies that want to take over the world, Guild missions should be designed with larger guilds in mind as well as smaller guilds which is my complaint.
Complaining that guild missions require 15 players is like complaining dungeons need 5 not 1. In fact making guild missions so small and easy excludes large guilds from enjoying them which is where my problem is. Small guilds might not be able to play the new content easily without help but large guilds can play it but wont enjoy it due to they were designed for smaller groups.
With every post you continue to demonstrate what I’m talking about. And you talking down response proves this. I’ve been playing GW/GW2 from the beginning in the betas. I know what is going on. I’ve seen very few big guilds out there helping. Many, not all, big guilds lean heavily to WvW. And I’m also out there helping folks in trouble or giving pointers just like you(I don’t see it as charity though – at least that’s how you come across).
I didn’t say dungeons should be for 1 person, no one has(straw man argument). No one said we were entitled, no one said we didn’t want it to be a challenge, but most have said that the way it is designed is inherently unfair to smaller guilds. Even in the new article they mention that they now recognize it to be unfair and that they are thinking of ways to fix it so smaller guilds can enjoy the content.
The gist of the thread has been the way ANET introduced the new content and how it actually played out on release.
ANET, I think this thread has lived long enough. You know there’s a problem, and the bad blood is building in the thread. People now want an answer. I know I do, with every post made and each day that goes by.
Here’s my problem with the whole Guild Mission Idea. It seems to have forgotten that SMALL GUILDS are a part of GW2. Many Guilds have 5 or less players and the new system pretty much excludes them from playing the new content. Well at least for years and years until we can earn 50,000 points to turn it on. And I pray to Dwayna that by then I’ll be playing GW3. So how about some content for THE SMALL GUILDS? There should be something for 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 people to do as a guild that could earn them something. All of the new content is for guilds that have massive players earning massive points and yes it does give them something to spend it on which is fine. But lets give the little guys something to do too.
This is the problem I have with comments like this, 5 people is a party not a guild.
Complaining because the new content is for larger than one party is silly you already have a stupid amount of dungeons.Guilds can go to 500 man in size, 5 member guilds are tiny guilds.
How about giving the larger guilds something to do, the guild missions are far to easy for any 100+ guild
Phoenix, I remember creating a guild at the guild merchant. He didn’t ask me about how many people I had or dictate a minimum number. I clicked on create a guild and paid the fee. Viola, I have formed a guild.
ANET, this is creating tension and bad blood. As has been stated frequently in this thread, folks are leaving their small guilds, giving up on the new content or just quitting the game altogether. And the “Living Story” is not replacement for Guild Missions. You truly need to address the issue sooner, not later.
