Tifa Ran/Ranger with a Pet
Commander WvW – Henge of Denravi
@Bloodyjoker –
In your own words “Anet don’t owe you anything, you are not entitled to anything for willingly playing a video game.”
ANeT is doing the smart thing and actually recognizing that long time high ranking players have kept the WvW game mode alive. Without it we wouldn’t be talking about pips. The problem here is that players, seemingly like you and others who want everything “equal”, think ANeT actually owes you something.
With the new pip system ANeT is trying to encourage more play in WvW obviously. I’m sure they could up the basic reward – server match up position in a skirmish 1st, 2nd, 3rd. But giving everyone the same pip count makes no sense. WvW rank actually means something now, beyond having cata mastery and such. Once we reached the completion of all the masteries in WvW we got nothing but titles for the enemy to snipe. Now we actually get rewards befitting our time and effort we put into the game. Play long enough and you’ll get there too.
I find it amazing that the OP feels that since he/she didn’t invest the same amount of time in WvW that those who have shouldn’t be rewarded for their dedication. And now that there is some new shiny in WvW he/she and many other players who shunned WvW are now mad that they have to work their way up the ladder to achieve a higher reward. Please, even though I’m not a 100% WvW all the time player, I can see why ANET gave some thought into rewarding those of us who have actually done our time in WvW with little to no reward except bragging rights.
Does the OP realize that in the past some of the bonuses they were receiving to Magic Find, Vitality, Gathering, etc.. came from the WvW players on their server? Anyway, leave it the way it is, ANeT. Just like how you ignored everyone’s call to make legendary armor available outside of raids, ignore calls to nerf rewards given to WvW players who have suffered under an ignored aspect of the game for so long.
Primeval armor was an armor set.
Yup. Also, we have/had the Krytan and Profane sets (both old GW1 sets), which were also armor sets.
That being said, those were early additions to the game, and we haven’t had full GW1 armor skin sets since then. Plus, they’ve all been gem store items. I’d love to have more GW1 armor throwbacks that are earned by playing rather than by using gems.
That was my point exactly. I’d love to be able to earn new armor sets. There were so many awesome sets in GW1.
Well, at least it will be happening. Sad that I destroyed nearly 3000 blade shards because it looked like we weren’t going to get any relief. I’ve also destroyed at least 3 stacks each of the crystals from the guild hall.
Here are some armor skins that I really loved from Guild Wars 1. I find it strange that, with all the skins they keep adding to the game, they can’t see their way to bring back the old ones.
There are so many skins that could be added that those who played GW1 would gladly make or probably buy from the gem store. Hopefully the new ExPac will have some of these skins.
Heck, I’ve been on the same server since GW2 beta. I should get at least 5000 pips.
“If you’ve been playing on the same world for at least three weeks.” Maybe give reward if you have played on the same world for at least three years? 3 weeks really? What kind of bandwagoner haven’t played in same server at least 6 months?
Heck, how about a huge reward for those of us who have been on the server since GW2 started and NEVER transferred at all.
The idea that pets are worthless is an outdated ideology
Pets are useless.
I like how they keep nerfing certain pets because they actually are useful and the players losing to them complain. We complain all the time about the OP abilities of certain classes and they buff them. The thief stealth was finally partially nerfed when ANeT’s precious raid boss was soled by a perma-stealth thief. So the answer to true balance is to have raid bosses beaten in ways ANeT did not intend.
So, ANeT instead of nerfing pets, how about fixing the kittening AI. They are part of our damage output. If you can’t fix the AI give us the same damage buffs you KEEP giving other classes. As it stands the ranger needs an across the board 15-30% damage boost to make up for the useless pets that get one-shot or wander around missing the target.
Oh, and how about a boost to our traps? Ours need to be on par with Dragon Hunter traps.
ANeT, the ranger needs a massive damage output boost not a nerf on anything.
You keep buffing the other classes to higher damage output(Revenant is even nastier) and nerf the ranger again(with small buff to SB). They keep slow boating ranger damage output.I’d love to see a true warrior, thief, mesmer or necro nerf. Warrior is still OP with all the invulnerable, blocks and such.
But I bet this section of the forums is ignored since ANeT hates the ranger. They only want ranger to play druid in their raid meta.
Are you for real? Our core profession has been competitive condition DPS for a long, long while now and being pidgeon-holed into our elite spec would only bring us down to the same level as other professions. Since Ele’s meteor shower nerf, condi Ranger has been tied with condi engi for top DPS in raids with far more ease of use and since the group’s Druid can provide spotter to open up hidden barbs and condi engis lack a good replacement for pinpoint distribution, the rangers don’t lose effectiveness for running multiple. I’ve seen raid teams just running rangers in every DPS slot, just like they used to with eles. This nerf was justified.
I’ve not seen Power Ranger doing much in raids and the ranger really doesn’t have much going for it in that department, but I can only guess they were decent enough in PvP because they deleted remorseless rampage as one.
I’m quite for real. I’ve experienced firsthand in WvW the ridiculous OP classes, and ranger isn’t one of them. Warriors can run into a zerg of 30 and survive. Thieves/Daredevils can 2 shot people and drop them in less than 3 seconds. Mesmers can chain clone producing what seems like 6 clones(just that they do it in a way that makes the existing not count to he max allowed) that can make your life a real pain. And lets not forget the ridiculous stealth that Mesmers and Thieves still have. Dragon Hunter traps are also OP, outdoing anything a ranger has. Being “baby caged” and hit with the primary trap will cause you to wonder why rangers even exist. Elementalists do massive DPS, can be invulnerable and have lots of stab when played right. Necro/Reapers are OP in DPS and Condi. Let’s not forget all those health pools they can have along with those nasty utilities.
Ranger has basically been slowly nerfed and relegated to Druid healer for raids. Yes, the condi meta for raids has helped open up another role, but most raids want the healer druid first.
As for PVP. Who cares. PVP is an entirely different animal and should have never been allowed to affect PVE and WvW.
Look what it took for ANeT to nerf perma-stealth thieves. A thief soloed one of the raid bosses. Their precious raid was broken by an OP class. And it wasn’t a glitch like the slyvari hound glitch. It was a stealth meta.
No idea how long you have played, but I’ve been at it since beta. Ranger has been neglected by ANeT. Pets AI is broke – we lose damage output due to it. Our big elite Entangle was truly nerfed long ago. And they’ve slowly nerfed our damage output on primary weapon choices while trying to get us t o use unpopular ones. They finally fixed our One-hand sword locked in the motion problem by nerfing it. And now they’ve come after our torch. Our axe was nerfed a while ago and no longer ricochets to as many targets.
But if you look at the other classes – big damage buffs over the past 2 years.
ANeT, the ranger needs a massive damage output boost not a nerf on anything.

I would support PvE world dueling between two consenting individuals, with the option to not receive duel requests as the default and with limitations on players dueling in social/work areas, like role-play hubs, bank, TP etc. I would not support small group fights or large group fights in the PvE world.
Why? The options that exist to duel (find a place in WvW and hope a zerg doesn’t run through; custom arenas and guild halls) are out of the way and thus not viable options for players who want to do something while waiting for a meta event to start. The option for players to fight one-on-one in the PvE world already exists in Costume Brawl, so some of the work to implement singleton duels has already been done.
One of the other issues would be getting whispers asking for duels and then the name calling afterwards if you say no. Though that is easily solved with report/block.
Can we get this into the game? Be able to accept / decline duels when ever where ever? Fractals / raids / Home instances / Open world PvE? Party members can accept and decline too? up to 50 man open world fights? Has someone suggested this before and it was declined ? And why ? I think this will bring more immersion to Guild wars 2 gameplay. I understand Gw2 or Guild wars in general has tried to stray away from the traditional MMORPG concept ( I.E team work mobs no kill stealing and loot for everyone) , but with the way things are going now; with the implementation of mounts in the next expansion we can see now that it is slowly turning into a traditional MMORPG. Which I absolutely have no problem with because it brings immersion to the game.
Not needed or desired. Imagine people in Map Chat advertising duels and all the posturing of who is the best, blah, blah, blah. Map chat is toxic enough already and doesn’t need duel requests, bragging, or more get good comments(that already happen).
This already exists in another form. WvW. If you truly want to fight someone you go to Obsidian Sanctum and fight it out. Or go to the Windmill or find some secluded place to fight each other. True, if the person is on your server that can’t happen. However, there is yet another form of this – the Guild Hall Arena. Very simple. You party up if you aren’t in the same guild and go into one of the pair’s Halls. Head to the arena and join different color teams. Then fight to heart’s content.
I hated that content of challenging people in the open PVE world in LOTRO. At least you could set your toon to ignore requests to duel, thus never getting a popup requesting a duel.
Can we have an option to salvage all below rare when we right click the salvage kit? like instead of masterwork and below, we have rare and below.
This already exists in the game. I use it everyday. Right click – you get several choices. Maybe it’s the kit you’re using. I use the copper fed salvag’o’matic.
i use copper fed too, there is only salvage magic and below, salvage masterwork and below, and salvage rare only.
i would like to have a salvage ALL rares and below.
Ah, I see. Missed that part since I didn’t think anyone would want to blindly salvage all rares. Not to mention, why is it so hard to use the salvage menu twice? Remember, it was not too long ago that you had to salvage every single item individually(and click to confirm each and every rare). Now you have the ability to clean all blues and greens with one right click then pick and choose rares. I don’t see any problem or need to have a “rares and below” option. As one person pointed out “lazy”. I for one salvage only greens and blues with my copper fed. I use mystic salvage kits on the rares I actually do salvage. If you want to salvage all rares blindly use a silver fed salvage’o’matic.

Guild missions seem to have been abandoned by ArenaNet. When HoT was being discussed we asked if there would new guild missions alongside the guild hall and were told not at launch but maybe later (might have been on reddit, can’t really remember where). Call me cynical but I don’t think they had any intention of adding any more missions.
Like I said earlier, if it isn’t something aimed at the 5% of elitists(i.e. Raids), they don’t care about it. They seemed more concerned about keeping a small faction happy. If you look at a recent screen capture of a LFG Raids list you can tell what kind of culture it has created. They list the number of Legendary Insights they require you to have to join their little band. Elitists for Elitists and by Elitists. Unless you want to pay a hefty sum of gold of course. What’s the going rate to have them carry you these days? 30-100 gold? So to get the number of successful raids you would have to pay out 4500-15,000 gold? Is that what ANet’s ultimate vision was all about? Just remember the lower 95% don’t count anymore, since they don’t listen to our voices.
Blaeys, Guild Missions are not raids, so ANeT no longer cares about them. They’ve hooked their cart to a small percentage of the player base and have alienated the vast majority in doing so.
sad its only obtainable through raids. Time to move on. Thx for a great ride Gw2
Don’t worry, ANeT doesn’t really care if lots of players feel this way as long as the 5% of players who can achieve this in Raids get what they want. Imagine if ANeT suddenly decided to make a version for non-Raiders. Would the Raid raving players up and quit? What could ANeT possibly offer(bribe) so few players with to keep playing the game?
But alas I’m afraid there may be more who leave the game than actually raid. Good economics.
To those comparing WvW, PVE and PVP to Raids for acquiring Legendary Weapons – the old expression “apples and oranges” comes to mind.
1. You can still get precursors from the mystic forge or drops. All that is required then is to get map completion(easy), a Gift of Battle(fairly easy) and the materials and gold(both soloable). You don’t need 9 dedicated people to clear bosses.
2. The collections are fairly easy. Tedious at times, but easy. Oh, you need some peeps for fractals, but they’re easy to find on the spur of the moment.
3. HoT is an expansion. The only thing locked is content until you buy it. You can still create old Legendary Weapons without it the old fashion way. The only Legendaries that can’t be are the new ones.
4. Getting the back pieces are easy compared to getting the boss kills in Raids(if you have an “easy” time killing raid bosses – Yay, good for you. Pat yourself on the back). And you don’t need HoT to get the back pieces.
5. Legendary armor is LOCKED behind raids if you own HoT or not. Period.
Gaile Gray,
As you see, when you make something exclusive to a certain type of play that only a select few can truly accomplish you create division and bring out the elitists. Sure, make challenging content that can give folks bragging rights, but don’t lock an item I’m sure everyone wants behind an aspect of the game that most don’t like. At least with back pieces there is an option – PVP vs Fractals. One being less venomous than the other.
So please, make sure the folks at ANeT are listening and reading to the complaints, concerns and suggestions of your actual player base. You are, as we always have known, the players’ representative.
Thank you,
A Guild Wars 1 and 2 Beta Player
I think legendary armor should be avaliable to obtain in some way in every game mode pvp, pve and wvw. Yes it should be extremely hard to get in any type of game mode. But it should not be locked behind a game mode a majority of guild wars dosnt play.
This sums it up in a nutshell. I certainly hope ANeT is actually reading this thread instead of tooting their horn. It seems like they ignore the concerns of players who dislike the raids.
Why would they listen to complaints about having to do Raids to obtain Legendary armor, when it was announced 2 years ago that the first Legendary armor was going to be locked behind raids. I don’t see them changing the current model, however I do see them developing armors for other game modes.
No, apparently they won’t with the current way they ignore the concerns of the MAJORITY of players.
As soon as it was announced that they would lock something that players were actually wanting behind a game mode most players dislike ANeT could have said they would be also developing armor for outside the raids. But they did not. Instead they did what they did with WvW when they decided to turn every borderland into a desert and ignored the feedback they instantly received. You see, with the desert BLs they had done so much work developing them that they sure as kitten were not going to shelve the project. Now it is the same with Legendary Armor. They’ve put too much work into how to get them, along with design, that there is no way that we will see anything outside of raids coming to our game mode any time soon. So I’m not holding my breath that ANeT will actually announce that they will create a non-raid way obtain Legendary Armor. Thanks for ignoring us, ANeT.
Sounds like you were ignoring what Anet was telling you they were going to do, hoping that community would be able to sway their opinion, and on somethings, they have. Been when they flat out tell you what it is and how it is to be obtained, if you objected to that, you should have not bought HoT.
ANeT ignores the majority at its own peril. They received the negative feedback on WvW for a long time and lost thousands of players due to inaction. Many, if not most of those players, have not returned. It’s very evident with the current WvW situation.
Now, as for non-WvW players, many are getting bored. I hear it from guildies and friends that have played this game from Day 1. So ANeT ignores the complaints, feedback and suggestions of long time players at their own peril if they wish to stay in business. Happy and involved players buy gems.

I’m not disappoint in the looks of the armor as much as I am in the method to obtain it. It is basically a Raid only armor. This means ANeT spent years developing something that only the elites and those who pay the elites can obtain. At least with PVP skins you have a decent way to obtain them.
Oh wow, the most prestigious item in the game is only available if you put in some effort, what a shock! On a side note, I’m apparently elite now. On a different side note, I likely won’t ever get The Ascension because I dislike PvP, but I’m not complaining about it.
Typical answer instead of a way for ANeT to actually make sure everyone in the game has a actual chance of obtaining it. And the armor isn’t the most prestigious part of the game. It’s a tool that many players, most of whom do not like or join raids, would like a chance to obtain it. And with an attitude like yours – yes, that makes you an elitist. And to berate someone just because they bring up a perfectly reasonable complaint makes it all the more so.
In PVP all you need to do is play it to obtain Ascension. For Raids you actually have to beat the boss to get what you need. And the current set up of raids excludes players who are good, but just can’t get past that final hurdle.
All this can be fix if ANeT loses its fixation on content for elites and finds an amicable way to make it available to all. PVP doesn’t need to worry about it since they have amulets for stats and there is no uniqueness to players(Not to mention that you can get a Legendary Back Piece in Fractals already – very doable). Like I said WvW players are completely excluded from this new item because they spend most of their time in WvW. I split my time, but would love to have one set of armor I could adjust the stats on so I don’t need multiple sets for different content.

This means ANeT spent years developing something that only the elites and those who pay the elites can obtain. At least with PVP skins you have a decent way to obtain them. So, unless you can find someone who can clear the bosses for you, you are S.O.L. on this new legendary.
I’m not saying I want legendary armor to just flow out a waterfall to everyone when they log on. I’m saying that the method to obtain it should be available outside the Raid setting. I’ve only been successful on a few of the Raid bosses, and that’s after hours of absolutely zero fun. The only one that was even remotely fun was the escort. VG was purely mechanics and dps. Gorsy was purely a dps check with some minor mechanics tossed in. Of course VG and Gorsey have that annoying artificial timer thrown in. Why not just increase the reward if they are defeated under a certain time limit while leaving the current reward alone?
Anyway, back to the armor. I’m sure the WvW folks would love a way to obtain Legendary armor, other than Raids. I know PVX players certainly would. I play in nearly all aspects of the game and I can say that Raids are my least favorite. So why lock the Legendary armor, your “greatest achievement”, behind something that the vast majority don’t play?
On a note to this: It happens most of the time when I try to go to the guild hall.
I just started getting this message. Got one last night once. Now I got a bunch in a row leading up to not being able to log in to the game.
Well, you just made our decision for us ANeT. PVE for a week. The Devs really hate HOD.
If the tag watchers can’t see a tag but are remotely map aware, they can still tell where a group is much of the time.
Yes, but if they are tag watching they will show up a lot faster than if they had to guess where we were.
An example of this was when we were fighting a top tier server. They were showing up way too fast to be coincidence so I tagged down. They were hunting tags/bags and had huge numbers compared to us. After I tagged down we were able to take a very large objective after we led them around with distractions. Since they couldn’t have whoever it was watching where my tag was we took the keep. They showed up shortly after we capped it.
If we had a squad only visual tag they couldn’t have tag watched in the first place.
Like others have mentioned in this thread, we don’t think this would be a healthy feature for WvW. Many players will not participate in WvW if they don’t see a commander tag, and we try to avoid adding features that can be used to exclude players.
I think you don’t understand. In many match ups, especially recently with certain toxic servers from top tiers who like to tag watch, we started to run tagless. Talk about players not seeing a tag. Without an option that only lets the zerg see their squad’s tag more will, and are, running tagless. So ANeT not solving this issue will actually lead to players NOT seeing a tag. So your saying this is not healthy contradicts what is already happening.
I’m guessing this is probably the autotargeting bugging not the pet AI.
I constantly have this problem with both ranger and ele, autotargeting decides the target at random.
I’m not even sure I’d say it was “bugging”, just … auto-targeting for you. The description says nothing about the OP targeting anything, right? So, they hit F2, that thinks “ah, I need a target”, and finds one that happens to be surprising to the OP.
Annoying, but normal?
But I was already shooting a target. It should have gone for that one. Instead it went 90 degrees to the right and went for a totally un-aggroed one.
I’ve had my pet go to totally different targets than the one I’m engaged on. The AI is just not very good.
The AI is completely broken these days.
Example:(Electric Wyvern)
I am running around gathering in Sparkfly. I go to a tree and entangle two spiders and for some reason I shoot a third spider just past me. My pet heads toward t hat one – cool, that is what it is supposed to do. Then, before it reaches it I hit F2. The wyvern suddenly turns and goes after a fourth spider that was never even aggroed. What the kitten?!!!
you guys seem to concentrate so much on making the warrior immortal and the thief invisible that you just let the 1/3 of the ranger’s damage by a willy nilly random AI. Please fix it or give the ranger more damage that they can output themselves without having to rely on a deranged pet AI.
There is probably a thread covering much of what I’m bringing up, but this doesn’t seem to be being addressed.
This week’s Guild Missions for the PVE mix are abysmal. We use the missions to promote guild gatherings and to have fun. But this week’s selection was extremely short on selections.
2 bounties and the rest are treks and races. 2 of the races are identical. No puzzles or challenges again.
ANET, please do something about these kinds of guild mission selections that your RNG keeps coming up with.
Leaving aside that you have not added any new guild missions in eons, the current crop of RNG on selections seems to be broken. And let’s not leave that aside. Long ago we used to get 40+ showing up to guild missions, now it barely tops 20 each week. And yes, those players are still online that used to come, but they are no longer interested in doing the same thing over and over again. We need a fresh infusion of missions.
Ideas:
Boss hunts – similar to bounties. Give a selection of bosses to hunt and let the guild chose one to do for credit. Require a certain number like you do in WvW, puzzles and challenges.
A new puzzle or two(SAB has some interesting things you can add as an instance.)
New challenges – utilize some of the shrines in Orr or how about a beefed up dungeon instance for a guild mission.
ANeT Devs breed on big servers. I saw 3 ANeT tags last night in one Yak’s Bend zerg.
Why is a basket worth 2 or 3 points? Or a foul shot worth only 1? Why is a touchdown worth 6 and a field goal worth 3? 2 point conversion or extra point?
You have to assign some kind of score and ANeT is trying to find a happy medium. The winning and losing servers haven’t switched places due to this scoring system. A big sever can still create an insurmountable lead and relax the rest of the week. Let’s let them find the best scoring method. At least they recognize there is a problem.
Well, as soon as we see a ANET tag on an enemy objective it becomes target number one.
I still think the ANET devs spend way too much time on the winning servers, but hey, they said there is no favoritism. The truth probably is that they have friends on those servers. I would like to see them on the losing end servers more often to see the other side of the coin and how the server population imbalance effects us. Not to mention the match-ups where #10 is up against #2 and #4 who both have 2 servers attached to them. Thus, 6 servers versus 2.
Another idea for outmanned buff. You drop nothing when killed or experience. So, no war score points, no armor damage, no experience granted to opposing players, no reward(drops) to opposing players.
After what we faced last night during reset in the HOD BL from Yaks Bend I don’t want to hear whining about population size on YB. Your server has plenty of people on it, even ANET employees(which we killed every time we had a chance). The only time we get to see ANET employees is when we face another server.
Mesmers – even more stealth
What?
Like I said, if you were reading, I wasn’t totally correct. I copied what I predicted to show everything I said was going to happen. Some of it was tongue-in-cheek, but lots of it was downright accurate.
Yep, ranger got kittened again. I called it in an earlier thread and was nearly spot on about what the other classes would get compared to the ranger.
The other classes all got buffs and the ranger got minor fixes and a minor buff here and t here while getting a big nerf on one of our traits. Below was my prediction. The pet stuff I didn’t expect but it still doesn’t “fix” the pets.
Here’s part of it(I wasn’t perfect on it, but I think I was close):
Warriors – more invulnerability and damage output
Thieves – more stealth, dodges, and damage output
Mesmers – even more stealth
Necro/Reaper – nerf epidemic, but add more damage output
Elementalist – more nukes, with a few nerfs. Still OP.
Engineer – no love ever
Revenant – we like, but no updates
Ranger – you stay pigeonholed as healer because we only created druid for the raid content for the elites of GW2. In fact we’ll nerf your attacks with anything but staff. Oh, and that pet fix – NEVER – you don’t need that extra damage the pet is supposed to do(and takes away from your real damage output). It will still die to one shots, so keep it on a leash.
Got most of my guess correct on the patch. Ranger loses again.
We all know what will happen in the new patch.
Warriors – more invulnerability and damage output
Thieves – more stealth, dodges, and damage output
Mesmers – even more stealth
Necro/Reaper – nerf epidemic, but add more damage output
Elementalist – more nukes, with a few nerfs. Still OP.
Engineer – no love ever

As you can see I’m not happy with the role ANeT forced on Rangers. Druid was created solely for HoT Raids. Sure, you don’t need to play a healer, but you will be treated like the dungeon runners used to treat rangers unless you do.
What Ranger should have become if ANeT hadn’t decided to kitten Rangers:
Hunter elite class – My Ranger/Druid Fix.
Traps – what the dragon hunter OP traps do.
(Tracking)Stealth Detection – track, target and hit stealthed creatures within a certain range. Can link to pet type(Dogs(smell and hearing), Wolves(dogs), Pigs/boar(yes pigs), Cats(hearing))
More long bow and short bow damage. Maybe more range. Oh, maybe new skill lines that add Sniping skills, poison(to longbow), etc.
Sniper Shot – something similar to snipers in HoT.
True Beat Mastery – Still working on my concept, but pets have better AI.
New Weapon – Rifle of course. Not my favorite, but makes sense.
Stab = stability.
You want your guardian to use the stability boons(skills that share with other players) when you enter into combat so you don’t get interrupted or knocked down.
For other classes you can have a gank squad. Basically 5 of your squad are on classes like ranger and thief who snipe the back line(elementalists) or commanders. Ranger and thief aren’t really meant to charge in with the zerg.
Classes like warrior and mesmer are also useful. Mesmers for veil and portals, warriors because they are warriors and tough.
Metabattle is a good place to start for tried and tested builds in WvW. You can have variations. As for equipment – get the best you can. As long as you can contribute and stay alive you are helping. Just build up to what is needed. And ask experienced players for pointers. I personally have hybrids of the meta and they work very well, sometimes better.
One of my guildies was able to gain access again. There is one distinct difference. I restarted the story and he hasn’t. So, does that mean if one restarts the story they no longer have access even though they earned the right to enter already?
I was unable to access the Guild Decoration Vendor in Lake Doric today. After I finished the story the other day I went and purchased several decorations from him. Now I am unable to reenter the building.
Was he deactivated? Is it broken? Do I have to do the whole story again to gain access once again? And if I do that, once I leave a second time would I have to do the story a third time to gain access?
Tons of fun on the new map. Love the story. Felt like I was playing GW1 again.
Wouldn’t it be nice if someone hitting alt-f4 actually gave bonus ppk? Say a bonus 20 points ppk and 5 gold from their account(just deducted not given to the other players). But this would bring about alt-f4 plants from other servers to turn the match around in their favor. So it wouldn’t really work. I think just deducting 5 gold from the alt-f4er would be enough. And make it incremental for a 24 hour period. 5-10-20-40-80, etc…
pin sniping isn’t a legitimate anti zerg tool, since the other side can do it too (and will).
no aoe cap was the best we had.
I think you’re using the wrong term. You should have said “effective”. It is effective since many zergs lose focus and have no unity once the commander goes down.
And it is a legitimate tactic to help bring about victory. It can be and is effective in causing chaos in the zerg once they lose direction. A good zerg has more than one good commander who can take over reducing the effectiveness of the pin-sniping.
Moa needs to be removed from wvw. That skill needs to be changed or split to work differently between game modes.
I find it to be an honor to be moa’d.
You must be new?
No, not new. Just was hoping they actually gave you a decent chance of getting the dyes. But I guess I gave ANeT too much credit. At least it only cost me 500 gems to know that I won’t buy any dye kits from this moment on.
