Has anyone had trouble getting the Waterproof Vigil Padding and the Dragonvine Vigil Strap to drop? I went through both of the required story lines Buried Insight(twice) and Hearts and Minds but neither of the items dropped.

I’ve cleared my cache several times now and I still get Internal Server Error.

All I get when I go the the leader board is “Internal Server Error”. Is this being fixed or is the Leader Board gone.?

It’s hard to do PVP as a guild seeing that your party is limited to 5. The WvW ones are aimed at WvW guilds that hate pve.

What Blaeys is asking for is NEW pve content for Guild Missions. The current ones are getting stale. The same puzzles, challenges and rushes over and over again. Sure the bounties are variable, but they could add more bounties. The treks are decent, but they could add a few more points, say in the new regions.

So, if it’s not about players catching up, as some against lifting the cap have said, or about the need to log in to do as many dailies as possible because ANeT has simplified the daily system, why is there a cap? If none of the above reasons apply, then why? All of you who are against lifting the cap have given no real reason, other than “I’m against it” or “Dailies aren’t really an achievement”.
So to all the nay sayers:
How does lifting the cap harm you?
How does it limit you?
Will you quit the game if it’s lifted?
Would you benefit from the cap being lifted?
Are just saying it because you have some sort of desire to keep people down?
Is this an ego thing for you to not want the cap being lifted?

As for me I hit the cap, as I have played since release of GW2. I’d love for it to be lifted, and get my points retroactively awarded(but I’d live with it if they weren’t). Everyone benefits from the cap being lifted. It harms no one.

Players who have hit the cap and have kept playing have demonstrated their loyalty to the game so why not have ANeT demonstrate its loyalty to us?

Though I’m not color blind I have many friends who play GW2 that are. So the idea I thought of might be possible.

Considering updates are every 2 weeks and there’s 5 locations according to the achievement, at this point, the earliest it may change is on Friday, at the daily reset to be simple. But that is the point. What is the current movement timeline? ANeT has left players with no clues.

I think the problem here is she says “I’ll be moving soon” or something to that effect. Soon is NOT a week. I could see a day, but not a week. And players are getting very frustrated with this. They go to the next map she says she’ll be in and wait. Then after realizing she isn’t coming, 30 min or more later, they leave. And they keep checking back to see if she has arrived yet only to find out she’s still in Frostgorge.

ANeT, at least give us an idea of the timing here. We enjoy the hunt in this one, just not the uncertainty.

I’d just like to know when she will move. That way I could stop going and checking every time I log in.

Last night she should have moved at reset at least. If she moves tonight, cool. But at least there should be some kind of note telling us how long we have to wait in between sensor hunts.

It’s going on 3 days now and Seis is still in Frostgorge. When is she going to actually move. If this is supposed to be a time gated event you may want to tell everyone. And if it is once a day, fine. But currently you can’t even advance it beyond Frostgorge.

Has Seis even left Frostgorge? I went to the second location and waited for a long time. Nothing. And went back after reset. Same. Is this broken?

The best time to test it at Teq is when he fears everyone. Every time I use it to break the fear I instantly get knocked out of it.

Yep, exactly what happens to me about 75% of the time these days.

I’m still experiencing the bug of getting kicked out of avatar form. est. 75% of the time I enter CA and am kicked out almost immediately. Only 1 time last night did I actually remain in CA form. When is this well known bug going to be fixed?

More detail – all my toons are in LA. I still can’t get in after the 2 fix it patches. I was able to log in after the initial big update. Code 1083 for the toon that was logged in before the first and second fix patches and code 7 for a toon that wasn’t. I’ve restarted my computer and reset my modem and router as well.

Still unable to connect even after the latest patch. I was in after the initial update, but ever since I can’t get back in.

So you’re contradicting yourself is what you’re saying. They are supporting game play by, you know, playing the game. How exactly do you expect them to support gameplay without picking a side? They just like you and I have to choose a server to play on. This is exactly what I’m trying to get across to you, your entire argument is illogical and contradicts itself all over the place.

Claiming gives a defensive advantage to the side it was claimed for. That is picking a side. Simply fighting in a zerg and playing the game does not.

Um, your argument makes no sense. You offer no proof or logical reasoning as to why it can’t be considered favoritism. And has been stated by someone who was there, the ANeT Dev was with them when they took it. He just didn’t wander in and see an unclaimed keep.
As Thorfinir and one other did point out “conflict of interest” might be a better term for it. At least their posts were logical. I for one just want an official stance by ANeT. Once an official policy is established, as any good business always does, I will live with it.

Way I understand this is that during saturday night’s raid they needed an extra guild to claim it so they could put a +5 on it. The ANET dev was running with the raid at the time under another guild tag and they used the ANET guild as an extra guild. All the buffs on it came from player guilds.

The claiming guild’s buffs(stat boosts, speed, loot bonuses etc) are what take effect, not the “other” guilds. Now, tactivators are another story. Other guilds can set up tativators.

No, I want ANeT to play by their rules, and they have not made an official policy where this is involved. ANeT is the ruler of this game. The ruler must be impartial or at least establish rules that they as admins must play by.

What would be nice here would be for an official response to come down on either side of this discussion. People telling me I’m wrong does not change the fact that ANeT is supposed to be the representative of ALL the players. I will continue until an official policy is established.

I love how the negative comments remind me of all the WvW players who said everyone hates the desert BL. But a poll proved them wrong. Sometimes the single voice is just what is needed to create change or get an official policy. If ANeT wants to create a poll about this and folks see no problem with them claiming then so be it. But currently, even though I’m the only one here questioning this practice, I know of many more who find it troubling.

No they are not like any guild out there. They are employees of ANeT, the company who administers the game. Impartiality is extremely important to maintain.

What if I said that an Anet guild claim could actually harm the server of the guild claim? Lets say a guild plans on claiming a keep and is going to tactivate it and remove public tactic activation so that they can properly regulate the usage of the tactivators. Now lets say an Anet dev nabs it first and guild claims and has public tactic activation by default and then disappears. Now a different guild tactivates it. Next, someone starts trolling all of the tactivators and no one can do anything about it because of the public tactic activation. IMO should have came up with a better argument for Anet showing favoritism like dropping 3000 omegas or something.

Several things wrong with this post.
1. There are already trolls/spies who pull tactivators to kitten over the server.
2. There are already issues where a guild privatizes tactivators and limits the defense that can be done if none of their guild is online.
3. 3000 omega golems is a straw man argument that would be impossible due to siege limits and more.

The point of this thread is to state that showing favoritism to any server by a guild whose very members are admins and employees is unprofessional behavior. Taking part in “making a statement for a server” by claiming another server’s garrison is true unprofessional behavior.

The members of the “ANeT” guild have one job, to administer the game. That involves fixing broken content, banning hackers, and to administer impartial judgment. The claiming casts a shadow over their function.

And being in that guild is the same as representing the company even if they don’t have dev as their job description. Anything devs do that could be considered favoritism or unprofessional behavior casts a shadow over ANeT’s company.

All Devs should be mindful of how they appear and act. An making a statement for a server is downright unprofessional.

ANeT is a company and are suppose to treat all players equally. However, in WvW this does not seem to be the case. The player guilds are players who are not associated with a company and are subject to ANeT’s rules and judgements. Apparently ANeT is not subject to their own rules and play obvious favorites, such as Devs going along with requests from servers to make a statement by claiming another server’s Garrison.

So, no I’m not on an Entitlement Horse. I ask ANeT a simple question – What is your policy and why does it look like you are favoring some servers over others? Appearance is everything.

But they aren’t equally distributing their favor upon all servers. If there was actually a policy to equalize claiming by ANeT it probably wouldn’t be a problem. And this would need to be a public policy.

Currently we get reports(we have people on other servers – spies if you would – who report this to us) like the SOS server wanting their ANeT dev to claim our Garrison to send a message. That is true unprofessional conduct and should not be allowed. It goes against their own policy of interfering with others enjoyment of the game.

I, an many others, desire a neutral stance by our administration based guild. That would be the professional way of handling this subject.

Came across a fully upgraded Hills keep in Yak’s Bend BL today. And much to our surprise the ANeT tag was on it. And it is still claimed by ANeT. Last week we heard a rumor that the SOS server wanted ANeT to claim our Garrison to make a statement. How is this even remotely allowed?

1. ANeT is the administrator for this game.
2. Being an ANeT dev should be considered a privilege and it should not be used to favor any server.
3. ANeT claiming any objective in WvW shows favoritism.
4. Showing any favoritism of any kind to specific servers is extremely unprofessional.

Don’t give me the argument that they get to the play the game as well. Of course they can and should. But playing should be the end of it. Taking part in a servers claiming, which gives that server an advantage in the objective should not be allowed. Again, favoritism.

ANeT, please explain to those servers that don’t get your favor as to why this practice is being allowed.

But where do the badges of honor come from in the first place?

If memory serves, and I could be mistaken, didn’t you need like 500 badges of honor to purchase a Gift of Battle in the first place(before the reward track)? Or was it just money?

Anyway, if my memory is correct, you would still have needed to “waste” your time in WvW to get one. Hence the “Gift of Battle”.

And when I did my first Legendary I had to have 100% map completion, including WvW.

That figures. It should be so rare though.

For two days I have opened Noxious Pods in DS for the torch handle that the achievement says drops from those pods. I have opened 65+ pods and the items will not drop. I got the machined shield backing from the final chest(unexpected), but the description says it should also drop from the Noxious Pods. I was working on both of them.

So here is my question: Is the description wrong, and it should say that it drops from the final boss chest in Dragon Stand?

I agree. Make adding stations an upgrade. Each upgrade adds a certain theme.
Armor/Leather/Tailoring Station Upgrade
Weapon/Huntsman Station Upgrade
Artificer/Jeweler Station Upgrade
Cooking Upgrade

Or some combination therein.

I’d like to see all the possible achievements appear. There are hidden ones other than the new current events. There are several in the new HoT areas. If you don’t actually look them up you wouldn’t know they exist unless you stumble on them or someone tells you about them.

This has been my whole beef with the elite specializations. Nearly every class got higher damage output – absolutely ludicrous in some cases. The Ranger got Druid. Sure you can build a tanky troll build and slowly kill an opponent, but that is boring, and so is being roped into healing for raids.

Anyway, I was very disappointed in the inequitable distribution of the elite specializations.

Claiming things isn’t “using their anet privileges”. Like it or not the stupid HoT guild upgrades are a part of WvW, using them is part of playing the game.

If you catch them flying around, turning invisible, swapping teams to walk through a tower door and then swapping back, then you can kitten. But you are crying about everyday game play and it’s ridiculous.

ANeT is the admin of the game. Any player who represents ANeT has both privileges and responsibilities in having said tag. And, Jim Hunter, did I say anything about the HoT upgrades being bad? Again, no. Read what I wrote. I personally like the upgrades.

I just don’t like the idea of an Admin for the whole kittening game using his/her Admin gained privileges to influence the outcome of the game. Like I have said, and apparently haven’t read a word of it, ANeT reps should remain impartial. And claiming objectives as an ANeT rep is not impartial.

They can play in the WvW environment without using their ANeT privileges. We know they do play both anonymously and overtly – I’ve seen the ANeT tag over players’ heads at times. But to use their “guild” as a way to boost/help a particular server breaks impartiality. As a simple player, even if they have the ANeT symbol over their head, they can only influence things as far as t heir skill. But using the resources of a ADMIN Guild is a totally different subject and should be against their dev rules to do. If you can’t see that then you see 1 sheep and 2 wolves deciding what or who’s for dinner to be a fair decision. Judges should always avoid anything that shows favoritism, no matter how small.

LOL Anet has magical influencing admin powers. I like the fact Anet is joining the fight and interacting with us. Some people will cry about anything get over it. I have fought with and killed a few Anet reps. The stupidity of anyone actually getting salty over this might want to start life over and grow up.

So, imagine this if you will. No guild with bonuses(very rare, I know) is available to claim a keep/tower/camp after it is taken. The group needs the +5 supply for their next attack. One of the players just happens to be an ANeT rep. He/She switches over to ANeT tag and claims the objective. ANeT has just influenced the game at that point and has taken sides.

The whole point here is, anyone who can be judge, jury, and executioner should never take sides. They should play anonymously and only put up their ANeT tag when necessary in WvW. There is no saltiness here, only logic.

No, a person taking part in an incident that he/she will act in judgement of will break the trust in a system that should have impartial justice.
