Wait, can you explain this?

It wouldn’t hurt to have a set regardless. I am working on my Celestial set for my Mesmer. It would work great in areas where you need more survival and a Berserker or Assassin set just wont cut it. Balanced stats are usually always a good thing.

Hopefully, its a bug that will be fix and not a patch note error.

Nope, apparently ArenaNet does not care for Bolt and Incinerator.

The improve footfalls do exist right? Otherwise the update wouldn’t have said they added it. So the coding is there it wasn’t updated because…

I made a thread about this earlier in the crafting section, before with these weapons agreed with me there as well. I noticed no change at all.

According to the patch notes, the footprints were supposed to change, but it looks the same as before.

I’m glad I’m not the only one. Maybe its a bug.

Is it just me? Or does it look like bolt hasn’t even been touched despite what the notes say? I was looking forward to the change after watching the live stream and the larger footsteps of the other legendarys.

Anyone else experience this and found/know of a solution?

I just hit 17/17. The last achievement I got was Playhouse Perfectionist. I didn’t even get the popup for it, but it still shows up in my panel as being completed.

Anyway, I waited for a while, I tried logging out, switching characters and checking their inventory, nothing seemed to work. Now I can’t get my tonic…

Also, if you’re too lazy to watch the whole thing, its about 9 minutes in.

Did you watch the youtube video of the stream? The greatswords actually glow different colors depending on which you pick.

You will obviously be crafting lvl 400 stuff to go from 400-425 if not 450. Common sense stuff.

And if that stuff is also gated? If you can only craft 5 lvl400 things a day, for example……then what was the point of hoarding as it will take you and every other person doing it the same amount of time? I didnt think this was out of the realm of reality, given the crafting gating now with home instance farming and combining those.
I don’t believe we know if this is the case or not, do we?

Regardless if it is gated or not, a lot more people will buy the materials needed instead of farming them, causing a spike in price.

Hey guys. My girlfriend’s laptop was recently stolen, and I thought I’d buy her a new one for her birthday coming up.

She doesn’t care much for graphics, so running on minimum with good frame rates is fine.

I am looking to spend around $500.

Since Dragon Coffers are a bonus drop, I doubt they are effected by MF.

This. I believe coffers are on a separate loot table.

An official answer has already been given. They said the vendor will remain there forever on their live stream.

Honestly, I get more coffers from farming regular monsters than farming Holo projectors. Not to mention I don’t have to waste WP costs and I get much more loot.

Those of you who think farming projectors is the best way to get coffers is mistaken and I know many other people who would agree with me. Once you’re done with the 300 holo kills, there really is no need to keep farming them.

Someone on my server got the warhorn, Howl or Howler, forget which. But it was from one of the chests.

I like the way they did it this time around, its near perfect. The dragon wings however, I think should have been more rare. Thats just my opinion though.

I’m just curious on everyone’s opinion on which had better holiday events. I know Guild Wars 2 only had Halloween and Wintersday so far so we only really have those two events to compare. But what are your thoughts?

While new legendarys would be nice, I highly hope they are prioritizing their resources elsewhere. I don’t think we need new weapon skins while a new set is being released every month.

I would much rather see new armor skins.

Start a new Charr character and run from Plains of Ashford to Gates of Arah.

You aren’t allowed to buy new gear, use traits or utilities, use speed buffs or use Asura gates. First one to arah wins!

I didn’t write down my results, but I used up 160 of my spare Obsidian Shards and made roughly 25g profit, I was getting real unlucky with mystic clovers and wood as well.

Lets all take a break. Consortium Dolyak can handle the Elder Dragons.

Thats the way I see it as well. All these small content updates are just something new for us to do for a short period of time. So we aren’t doing the same thing on a daily basis. I don’t care much for reward if I’m having fun and they keep the game new and exciting, and they are doing just that.

Yes, new content. There is a new dungeon, there is a new story line, and there is a new boss. Those qualify as content updates.

I don’t know what you expected a Karka Queen to look like, I expected it to look like a big karka. Its just another daily boss to farm with 2 guaranteed rares or higher. a lot of people actually like doing those chest events.

And finally, new weapon skins were released from the crates (although stupidly rare).

I don’t understand the mentality of some of you players, Anet releases new content for us to explore FAR faster than any other recent MMO. I guess there will always be complainers.

We took out one of the training dummies with 4 people. Myself and a guildy who were mesmers, another guildy who was a war and some random person.

It most definitely is possible to take one of the dummies out. When I first opened your video, the first thing I thought was “Wow, thats overkill.”

I think Arena Net is still focused on creating an “innovating game”. Which is why they are trying to force farmers to other content. I don’t think Anet realizes they already have a solid game which still has so much potential, but they are nerfing the wrong areas just making a large chunk of the playerbase angry.

They nerf everything profitable so farmers would do something else, but what they should really be doing is making other things more profitable.

I think what I find so amusing in this thread is that most people are responding regarding their toon and how fun it is at 80. If the friend is trial playing this weekend, shouldn’t the focus be on low levels?

I have all classes and all races. If your friend likes ranger type classes, or pet type classes, I would suggest they go for those: Ranger I found was very fun just starting out. Soon as I got a bow I was just so happy, I didn’t even care what the skills were. Necromancer with minions, while the pets aren’t as good looking, they can be fun at lower levels too. Even Guardian if she gets enough skill points to get the Sword of Justice is quite fun.

Just saying, the focus should be on lower levels – not saying higher levels aren’t fun, but that shouldn’t be the focus to “win” her over.

Your suggestion has just as much credibility as everyone elses. Ranger was actually the first toon I leveled up, and now I hardly play her anymore.

Mesmer was the most enjoyable class for me to level. Followed by guardian.

What about stats? Full zerker or MF? Remember, this is strictly for solo PvE.

Decided to level my warrior to 80 and should be getting there in about an hour. I will pretty much only use it to solo farm mobs in PvE. I was just wondering what the best build might be since my guild is giving me mixed opinions on what I should be using.

Why not include zone 3?

Zone 3 takes about 6 minutes while 1 and 2 are roughly 3 a piece. It makes it more efficient to skip the last zone and start over after 2.

Starting a new character, going through the tutorial, running to SAB, entering the zone and watching the cinematic takes roughly 3-4 minutes, so, it actually would be more time efficient to do zone 3.

Assuming people are constantly creating character and not just running it on the ones the have created already is a pretty big assumption.

Let just all imagine this game has been out since august of last year… and we already did all the trivial character creation 8 times. It’s no longer faster to do zone 3.

Tons of people are creating new characters for this. Just create a new Asura and you can see how many new characters are being created just for this event.

Its not an assumption, since I have seen it and know for a fact people are farming this event like crazy for these skins.
