I’m not agreeing or disagreeing with you. But basically what you’re saying is that these “locusts” don’t have a right to express how they want their game play to be? What makes them wrong and you right on determining the betterment of this game?

Mainly for CoF, possibly Arah as well. I leveled my guardian purely for DE farming, I haven’t looked much into other builds since I just put most of my traits into whatever would help me get loot credit better. But now, I’m pretty exhausted doing DEs whenever I need money or karma so I decided to have fun in some dungeons.

Anyway, I’m looking for good weapon combos, traits, stats, ect. Any help is appreciated.

You do understand how ridiculous that solution is, right? Especially while there is an easy fix being suggested. Its too much to ask a whole guild or your entire friends list to transfer to a certain server just for one person. They will be leaving their friends behind as well.

This would make it so much easier getting to join the full server your friends or guild is on. What could happen is on the World Selection tab, allow players to queue for a full server when a spot opens up and its their turn in line, they will automatically be transferred, online or offline.

This will eliminate the need to camp the world selection tab for hours waiting for a spot to open up.

I played Guild Wars 1 about a month after release. I remember once we hit 20, all there really was to do was cap some elites, Underworld/Fissue of Woe or PvP in the Hall of Heroes, Team/Random Arenas or GvG.

It wasn’t until a few months before factions came out when they added Sorrow’s Furnace. And Factions brought us a few more dungeons and PvP maps.

This game is 2 months old and you’re comparing it to Guild Wars 1 content which wasn’t released until exactly one year after its original release.

explore dungeon running will get you there pretty quickly mate.
pick a dungeon you know well put a team together and run it a lot every run gives you 75% of XP needed to level so 2 runs per skill point is a sweet deal.

Oh yeah that is assuming you are lv80.

Do you get the same amount of experience for multiple runs on the same path? Or is it reduced like the tokens are? This is what I have been doing, running the shorter dungeons.

Thats exactly what I asked people not to suggest in my post :p I’m pretty close to my legendary and have most of the gifts, the rest pretty much require gold, and every Mesmer knows orr DE farming on a mesmer to get gold is pretty painful, so I’m using my guardian for that bit.

Keep in mind, the Bloodstone Shard costs 200 skill points and is soulbound, not account bound.

I made the mistake of buying an eldritch scroll on my Mesmer who was 100% world completed, I was also going for the legendary on this mesmer. I’m sitting at 138 Skill Points now and the only way I can get the Bloodstone Shard I need is to level up 62 more times. Does anyone know a decent farm which I can accumulate skills points relatively fast?

Please don’t suggest using an alt for skill points, as farming 200 on an alt would take much longer. Also don’t recommend just letting them come naturally during my journey towards my legendary because all I really need is the Precursor, some shards, ectos and a few arah runs. So I’m basically almost there.

I want a pure Skill Point farm suggestion, not too worried about karma or gold at this point since I plan on farming those on my guardian.

I don’t believe so, which is unfortunate because it would be the perfect Mesmer staff.

Thanks for the suggestions, I’ve tried running dungeons, but honestly, I have a hard time believing that is the fastest way to get skill points at level 80.

Let me make this clear, I can’t buy the Bloodstone Shard on an alt, the item is soulbound, not account bound. It also requires 200 Skill Points, so leveling an alt is useless. I need a fast way to gain roughly 60 skill points on my mesmer. Like I’ve already mentioned, I’m 100% on world completion.

I also like to point out that I don’t want to “slowly work on it while gathering my other materials needed” due to the fact that I’m pretty much done with all the gifts for my legendary. Just need the precursor, 60 skill points, some more ectos and the 100 Icy Runestones. Also keep in mind Mesmers are pretty bad at Plinx or any other loot group farms due to our limited or slow activation AoEs.

Anyway, let me know if you have any new suggestions.

If RNG will still be involved, I’d probably wait for quite a few to pop on market before I buy one.

The gifts are fine. You can’t expect to craft your legendary with no gold involved, that’s just silly. The problem was the precursors and them being completely luck based and the value raising faster than people were able to farm. The gifts still involve patience to acquire, which many people are perfectly fine with. At least you can slowly progress your way through those.

Ok, the mentality of camping the JP is to prevent the other servers to get easy siege. if you can stem the flow of easy, free siege, then why not? I personally don’t camp them, or even do the jump puzzles. I go to WvW to PvP, not jump around for a chest :p

So you’re saying its a smart move to have 20 or so members camp the JP while they are currently losing to prevent other servers from getting to siege their already lost towers and eventually keeps?

Tarnished Coast participation in jumping puzzles is almost non-existent, hence you always see enemies there.

My tip is, dont ever go alone, bring buddies with you and you will have fun

Myself and a bunch of others from YB are willing to leave TC alone as long as CD is gone. Theres about 20+ of them camping inside.

Its unfortunate that CD would rather camp a JP than help their server in WvW (They kinda need it right now)

CD is just a bad server. [BEAR] and a few others camp the JP for hours.

Tell your server to stop camping the JP, then maybe you might have enough to combat said zergs. You literally have about 15 people camping in there.

I’ve been leaving TC alone in the JP, unless they attack me first. In fact, earlier on my alt, Myself and a few other YB followed TC through the whole puzzle, They didn’t attack us, we didn’t attack them. We both cleared CD from the top of the puzzle.

It seems to always be the same guilds camping. [BEAR] [DiRe] and [TMJR] I think its time we cleared them out again seeing as they have been camping for 3 hours now.

What do you say TC?

Anyone have any recommendations for a Sigil for a staff Mesmer? Right now, I’m currently using the Air Sigil, but I’m wondering if there are better Sigils out there for mesmers.

Dungeons can also take a pretty long time to complete. I’m more interested in a fast way to obtain Skill Points.

I know this, I have 100% world completion afterall. I’m asking if anyone has found an effective way to level up fairly quickly so I can get these 70 additional Skill Points in a decent amount of time.

I made a mistake on my Mesmer and accidentally bought a bunch of Philosopher’s Stones instead of buying them from my alts like I was originally planning. I’m now 70 Skill Points short from the Bloodstone Shard and my Mesmer is already at 100% world completion.

Anyone have any tips on how to obtain skill points relatively fast on my Mesmer?

I’m sorry you’re not having a good time with this event, I however, am. People are forgetting these “Extras” are completely optional. Look at Guild Wars 1 for example. The Mini Polar Bear during the Wintersday event was so incredibly rare, added no extra advantages to the game, it was a trophy to show off your luck or dedication.

Same thing applies here. Same company, same principles.

Wonder how much dust will go up after this patch. Already jumped up quite a bit of copper, I expect the prices to go way up once more people figure this out.

Better start stocking up on dust now while they are cheap, prices will only raise. Good way to make a profit.

The ebonhawk staff you buy from the ebonhawk vendor is pretty nice looking, I also like the HoM staff skin, that has some nice particle effects.

Currently, the wiki says “They are obtained randomly at a very low rate from large chests rewarded for defeating Claw of Jormag or for capturing Temples in Orr.”

My question is: Does it only drop from those chests? What about doing The Shatterer or Tequatl the Sunless at 80?

I’d like the crafting window to have a checkbox which only shows available crafts which you have the required materials for. The crafting window currently is so long, scrolling down all the time trying to find the items I need to create can be a hassle. This would be easy to add plus make crafting a bit more enjoyable for those of us who use it often.

I’m looking for a guild which is both active and friendly. I’m tired of joining guilds which say “Oh we do lots of things together” but really, there is only a core group of players who wont bring in anyone else and asking for a group usually results in no response.

I am a very loyal guild member, I will help those who need help. I will give members items they may need but cannot afford (if I know them well enough) and I generally like to play Guild Wars 2 in groups.

Maturity is a must, also vent is a plus. I’m not looking for anything hardcore, just a casual guild with lots of activity across all of what GW2 has to offer and big goals.

I do not agree with new professions simply because of how the weapon system works. All they need to do is add more weapons and your character’s play style will change.

Gear is a balanced mix between Carrion (Power, Vitality, Condition) and Rampager’s (Power, Precision, Condition)

I’ve just finished up with the rest of my exotic armor set and I’m going to have some extra money sitting here until I decide what to do with it next.

I came from that MMO prior to Guild Wars 2. The game is not dead and has never died.

I don’t know where you get your information from, but I think it is time to get it somewhere else.

As for the RNG here, as much as I dislike RNG, I understand its importance for the specific thing being crafted and hope it does not change.

I love a challenge. Thats what keeps me coming back for more, when I feel accomplished for doing something I’ve had so much trouble with in the past. But the mechanics here are all wrong and Anet is only looking at this from one angle. The majority of players currently do not have a core team they can run in and practice different builds and work on bringing builds which makes a good synergy with the group makeup. The majority of groups are PUGs, and it will always be that way. Are you saying only dedicated groups of players who play with each other everyday are the only chance at beating these dungeons stress free without losing more money than earning?

Monsters should not 1 shot players, this isn’t difficulty, this is a cheap mechanic. I can understand if you had a few dungeons like this with awesome rewards, but to make them all pretty darn stressful with your same “difficulty mechanics” with very poor rewards upon completion is just silly.

A lot of us do not have the time or patience to work with a core group consisting of the same people to perfect these dungeons Anet.

I just deleted one of my lower level characters so I could recreate her, now the character creation wont load at all, just a black screen. I’m afraid to lose the character name. Anyone else having this issue?

Just hit 80 and 400 armorsmithing, noticed each one requires a Glob.
