Seems boring. I agree Deathmatch should be added (only have conquest point caps), but I was more a fan of tactical mission style GvG’s of gw1. Actually could make a difference by moving or changing the game, giving ground to take it back.

I don’t think anything of measure is actually going to be leaked. I’ll still check it out or the tail end of it when i get off work. But not putting my hopes up, I don’t know what they could possibly say that would give me any idea whether or not or how my server would fair with the coming leagues.

The circles of fun to be had in SoSBL and DBBL was just … endless. I couldn’t pull myself away … and sadly, missed farming Dragonite all night – minus 1 event.

It was just so much fun running in SoS BL camp fights. Keep on keepin on

As you’ve noticed, it’s hard to get a GvG in T1, since you have to wait over an hour for their guild to get through the queue as it is.
Add their casuals, and they’ll have the worst time getting their entire guilds through.

They’ll still curbstomp us with off hours pressure; but I feel good about the fact that people will not be able to WvW at all for days at a time. Let them stew in those fairweather juices.

Actually, when we fight T1 servers, we have literally no queue times, but I guess that’s why we get classed as 1.5. But yes, I imagine the JQ, BG, SoR may have queue times. I recon I saw a bandwagon to JQ write up a post about how he had to wait for 4 hours and still couldn’t get in on a non reset night. Everyone looked and saw his signature was JQ, and said – “oh that’s your problem right there”

So, it has already begun. I’d imagine there will be some more moves over the next week as the time closes in and people race to make some $$ to transfer. So it’s a bad to worse situation for them

So they have ‘some’ coverage. T2 has SEA and EU coverage. Maybe they did get DB scraps, looking at my thread this week its dead in there.

And to be honest, this doesn’t mean much. SoS and DB combined can’t touch TC and both of those servers are SEA Oceanic ;-)

From the view of someone fighting both, Kaineng, imo. There was a lot more hype than substance with Kaineng, but I think overall they were a stronger server than SBI.

SBI imo is more of a blob at this point, where Kaineng was more coordinated. This is not meant as insulting, I think equally little of all bandwagon efforts, but Kaineng was a structured alliance at the start. SBI growth was more organic and as such not as organized.

Not to say SBI cant get as organized, just not there atm.

Hmmm … thanks Niim. Yeah, bandwagon servers are what they are, and it was a humbling experience. Believe me, climbing from t8 got a fair share of players to voice there opinions (and rightly so). Good to know, kaineng on the inside was alot of work. I mean the guilds did alot of practice during the weeks, it felt like a full time job. So kinda got tiring.

Oh my god, I was in Hills when you guys capped it in DBBL. (the necro). Laughed my kitten off, DBBL was just a train last night.

To be honest I was popping in to grab a vista and hideout to go get a refill, but it swapped as soon as I got through outer and was kinda scratching head, ‘mhmmm kay, this should be interesting, guess I have to find another spot’.

Thats an issue with DB, we have a large pve population that doesnt get involved with wvw that much, otherwise we would have a monster wvw population.

That’s the problem with every server in the game.
I’m actually going to be LMAO with glee as T1 loses it’s kitten during leagues when all the PvE folks go into WvW and clogs their queues for hours.

That’s just a silly blanket statement to say with TC in the room. Sharing is caring, if our pve players popped into wvw for the meta, then all the better. Our numbers would bloat bigger than t1 servers.

If you all are QQ about being outnumbered then you all are barking up the wrong tree. When I was on TC and we would get SoR, BG, or JQ, we loved it, we knew we were outnumbered, but we liked the fights, cause we always won, they might have won the ppt match, but we always won in open field, we would go up against 50-60 with just 30+ but we were organized, we used mumble, had good commanders, everyone was in chat and listened, even militia was in mumble and we all followed the tag, and we would always go for the open field fights, everytime, and we won almost everytime, so don’t sit here and cry about being outnumbered, numbers have absolutely nothing to do with it, a lot of people like to be the underdog, cause they know they can kick the bigger dogs kitten , even if they don’t win the over all fight.

EDIT: I wanted to clarify due to the trolly tone of the first paragraph. I really do think TC has what it take to place in the top 3. It would be very hard but they have some T1 experience now and if they rally the population, they can do really well.

TC is doing a good job of taking advantage of BG vs SOR battles as they have ninjaed a lot of stuff earlier today, good work!

In addition some of us do our part of leaving TC alone when a small squad of them are flipping a supply camp so they can get some extra karma, loot etc. at a time they are clearly outmanned and the matches all but decided so kudos to the TC’ers who are doing what they doin.

Technically we do this so you can earn karma/wexp, we’re not very selfish. If you own most of it, then you can’t cap anything, and how fun would that be.

I’d send em to Mags. They fight, in game, on forums and love it with little expectation or care about if they log in later they will have nothing, but own everythign by end of night.

They fight everything under the sun, and if no one is there to fight, they will fight eachother. Fights are to be had with mags

t1 servers should never have free transfers. But open up the free transfers to bottom 6, not such a bad idea

It would be interesting to see if its based off a combined match up results. So lets say 4-6 fought 5 items and 5 won all matches, then 5 played 1,2 once and lost to 2, and 3 and 5 and won.

6 wins, 1 loss

Meanwhile 1,2,3 played 5 weeks sharing the wins

1 got 2, 2got 2, and 3 got 1. Then 2 won versus 1 and 5, and won against 4 and 6,

2 got 4 wins. and finished behind the 5th ranked server.

Won’t happen, but it would make people rethink where they should play

JQ has never had quality players compared to BG or SoR. They always have the numbers but always lose the matchup.

Spikes, I get a bunch of spikes. I get greens too from the GL box. But Raid versus raid, human players killed give me spikes. Could crush half dozen earthshakered and 1,1,1,1,1 my way through there zerg, dmg flying incoming and outgoing.

Reward is either me paying 2-3 silver for repair bill (in the event we lost), or me picking up about 4-6 spikes and a badge or two.

RISE been on every server, not really what you call… the settling down type.

I think since Kaineng, they been roaming nomads sharing the love.

If TC had 2 EU guilds, we’d easily yak stomp ya. And 2 SEA guilds wouldn’t hurt, … and why not 2 NA eastern guilds, and 2 NA pacific guilds.

Then we’d be purrrfect. Make that 3 EU guilds.

PvE = new content on map surrounding areas yet to be explored (aka ring of fire, isle of janthir, etc), hell crystal desert whatever you see thats still in dev.

PvP = HoH (and other types of pvp, not just conquest)

GvG + Guild halls.

All packaged up together in a boxed expansion. Fundamentally they are all additional types of content/mechanics.

killshot warrior, the nothing even close when it compares. The feeling even feels liek your playing in a sniper mode. So much fun every now and then, but for sPvP? … god, your gonna get crushed, theres just not enough room for a real sniper to pick a target and pick off.

I wouldn’t dare waste laurels on wxp… if the idea is “oh my alt can have wxp” … your alt likely doesn’t have ascended trinks yet.

people log onto “Full” servers in off hours where concurrent players are lower. Hence the issue with tier 1.

TC is not full, but I dont think this thread is for that. It’s … “hey anet, are we doing this intentional, or are we planning to recitify said issue which has been noted”

TC unfortunately is in a bad spot. We will never been able to out do the t1 (JQ,BG, and SoR) simply because we do not have enough coverage. We have good guilds in that time period, but not total coverage, and simply cant compare to the size and numbers of people that poor into and out from the portals of those 3 servers.

So, no shot at a golen yak, even though TC is the server who idolizes the yaks and hosts weekly yak parades. When it comes to WvW, its a coverage game.

Unless Anet has some super trick up there sleeves on how the grading will work, I would expect the rest of the servers will continue to lose pop to one of the competing servers, or the ones slotted best to win the silver/bronze leagues.

I wish there was a hard and fast rule and response to server stacking which would make the attract the guilds of mega servers to offload to the rest of the servers.

1. leaked patch notes wont be posted on anet’s forums.

2. Anet’s stickied notes on the patches (very general) note the upcoming patch date I believe (sorry for getting to the point, I see a lot of people checking this thread, but no official word here).

October 15th i believe is the date when all gets reset, and balance … it’s the pvp/wvw update… not the pve update. I did see that some balance items were included in this patch but not listed, I think related to wvw (red/green keep bug)?

I had that occur too, no reference though to the post. Although i have been more heated this week with the … hmmm … how do you say ~ week’s events?

5 messages today about being infracted, 3 of them noted what is was for, the other 2 were just 1 liners saying – hey your post was deleted because it was obscene and infracted. Or whatever the atypical response is. Both were identical.

In short, you will not have AoE cap lifted of player damage, because … then a zerg would become a zerg of eles and necros, and the zerg ball, would then put out … whats your multiplier up there OP? 4 times the limit?

Ask yourself this, why would I ever want to play a melee class in a world designed around ranged AoE under your conditions? Its purposely selecting a handicapped architype.

I know there is more, and yes … there are times where I would absolutely love the above selection/rule in place (primarily when I’m on my ele or necro, looking down in a siege defence where i’m sorely outnumbered trying to hold a tower, agaisnt say … JQ or SoR or a BG zerg)

… but … if you want to AoE cap removed… use SIEGE.

EDIT: Sorry on the caps. But its the only option available at the moment. And atm the wvw will and always promote zerg play. Sadly, it is what it is. Even good suggestions like yours actually benefit the zerg style more.

SUGGESTION:
Only way to promote not playing zerg style play is to REWARD other playstyles further. Example… you know when ressing the dredge in EBG? more players spike ressing a dead dredge give more benefit. Same with yak slapping.

This needs to be reversed. This needs to reward solo players or up to party size say 5, then drastically reduce/drop off. So a yak hit by 20 … would reward next to nothing say 1 point, while a yak hit by 5, could reward 25 points.

Depending on objectives/conquest, this magic number increases (tower/keep/smc) or decreases (sentry/BLnode/yak/camp).

Lack of research on your part is not Anets issue. Google is your friend. You will see when and what is being updated.

Losing what argument? Even in if you exclude FPS and RTS, WoW was significantly more popular as an eSport. GW1 was never at MLG it was in other events but had a smaller niche community.

I remember watching GW1 events and DJ Wheat casting them but it was always niche compared to WoW. In the real world doing something first, doesn’t make you a pioneer to the community.
