I still see plenty of WM nightly, just noticed a lot of them play casually for now, which is good. No commanders though. I saw many on KOR too late night when I got back from WvW in LA.

Some kitten nice armor on those ones. My bet is maybe some go back on tPVP

I don’t think the code exists. They would have to implement it, while object.character is dead object.character.nameplate do not show.

And fix everything that breaks because something surely will.

Improvement though, that I’m certain they agree with. Makes for smoother and better end user experience. Small wins like this that amount to the solid foundation they want. I’m most certain Anet does not want to ‘settle’ but as far as priorities go, I doubt we’d see this anytime soon. I would bet skill lag is number one on there radar.

Any good sites for team build synergy /etc … would love to start the discussions and improvement areas for my server mates and those who want to get involved. I mean we all use semi std meta skills … but I’d like to go a step further.

Basically looking for something to consolidate (multiple data sources, credits to be applied) … on small squad, and havok related groups. If you don’t know please don’t troll, just looking for calculations and such on dps output/support builds/control builds in a team/squad environment. sPVP seems all to focus on per player builds. I’m looking for greater than.

Kain want BG. We have the complimenting components. Just neither server has the money.

Melting pot has a new kinda ring to it. If the red circles are as wide as football fields and your designated 2 dodges can’t get you to safety … I think I classify that as a zerg, or 2-3 extremely talented AoE spammers

Just saying you can usually tell a zerg by the red circles and when people say ‘dozens, maybe 30 or 50… soo many, k we gotta stack" … shortly thereafter, seconds … followed by another saying ’ouch, I melted before I could cast’ … or if downed players drop faster than a warbanner can be cast, usually another good sign (both of where not to be and how much dps the ‘zerg’ is putting out).

People use the term very losely. Personally I would classify 20+ a zerg, while anything less is more a tactical squad.

Or another good way to determine a zerg… is when your elite commanders are commanding… random players tend to know and be attracted to elite commanders versus the others. Happens on every server. ‘oh hey … so and so is commanding, I’m gonna go see what he’s up to’ … because they have had fun winning many times over with them… and usually outweighs losses.

By definition I believe it’s something like: Overwhelming an enemy with numbers – going for quantity instead of quality, by rushing your opponent. Originated from starcraft playable race.

It’s funny, I would have also called Kain pugs or random militia Dothraki… they all fight like individuals no matter how much a commander asks for support, until there general says otherwise. So very this^^ is common kain mentality.

Now who is our Daenerys… hmmm has to sit and ponder that one?

Thanks Liquid. That is nice of you to stop by and those battles were and are still to this day, some of the best. I’ll never forget a certain Bay battle, where res/spawn points eventually led to whom could stake claim to the win. But boy was that absolutely fun, we’ll still push for more NA who want to come over, and still have a lot of fun – sometimes it the times like this that help define who you really are in a server. And i still see alot of the same NA folk pushing during our time.

there’s 5-6 spots that you can do 1v1’s at, so single file really just makes people wait for no reason.

if you’re just at fight club as an observer, usually you /sit so people don’t ask you. if you want specific matchups just party someone and they’ll ask in /s.

makes sense… yeah the waiting was a problem. All servers had with it. 1v1 … sitting for 20 minutes till your next turn. Can get it all out on the fray in an hour (fits those with irl jobs/family and such or lack of playtime better). Noted. When comes time for FC … we’d back this, and I’ll let little know, thanks pinko (and saiyr, missed your note).

We may still dive, or NA guilds have been only the guys who absolutely hate pve. Basically the guys who > dragon timer> done daily money for alt lvling > wvw for daily laurel. And die off the night just messing around. RE still hits the turf on time, but only go hard for maybe 2 hours? then its come as you are. Guess we’ll see.

I’ll leave it to the powers that be to talk about. The rest of us just do what we want when we want, nothing really organized across all groups atm.

EDIT: TC are nice folk, we enjoy them, but we enjoy most opponents, trolling aside. And opponents enjoy us, I remember Mags as the guys who wouldn’t stop calling out our NA group. I doubt that’s changed and if/when we land here, I’m sure we’ll be welcomed much the same. But would like to add some fun into the week on top of the norm.

Everyone seems to always look to recruit everyone else’s ‘x’ coverage gap (minus Mag’s pardon i forgot that thread, it was hilarious), or try to anyways. Mostly unsuccessful. But similar to DB, I find it odd how NA timezone is just as challenging to recruit for. I would have thought it’s a pool of people available. What is TC doing right that they can pull massive guilds over for, was there some history there, CD just evidently merged with there sister server?

Well, we may or may not be visiting Mag’s and Yak’s again … so I assume you guys still have your rolling dominant NA forces that will … storm our gar on reset? but lack the SEA coverage, and will hear about that all week long?

Or are there any fun things you like to do throughout the week? Competitions and such? We’ll fight the remainder of the week in T2 hard, but looks like we have strong chance to land in T3 very soon.

Will be a nice change … to see other name plates I guess.

I don’t get the hate on here at TC… actually only from FA … what is the point? Why argue a trivial non issue.

Regarding the GvG … guys – it’s not GW1… I love and miss GvG, and yes, it may just be when 20v20 clash who stands last among the veils, low, static fields, marks, etc … but really its the best attempt we as a community can do at the moment (cross server).

Our maps are not very tactical, there are no captive points or creative solutions there. Basically 1 group flag in hand hollering across the way at enemy, and GO.

But it’s all that we can do unless more creative ideas are suggested in a positive & constructive manner.

I would love to GvG, but first need to see who the heck in my guild wants to, and whether Ether or Kiri would let me form a squad for the odd GvG.

Till then, drop the kitten competition rkelly, I see no reason for it. TC crush Kain on EB last night, and we fought back into the map. Outmanned 100% of the time, but had fun. TC also went down to t3 … for a stint, and regained momentum back up.

If anything, they should feel proud of that unity.

FA, likewise … has prided itself on its core strength and WvW strat with growing GvG interest to strengthen its core zergs …. and they should be proud of that.

In the end, the week resets. People move but you and your friends will still jump online and go in and have fun. Whether VK, BT, TSL, PiNK, WM, RE … who gives a flyin … shelve your ego’s and add something we can (all 3 servers) try to build on.

GvG seems like a hot topic, maybe lets try to talk a bit about what could we do to make it maybe a little more fun?

If that doesn’t work … then let’s get some WvW related items on the table.

It’s because our NA doesn’t queue any maps atm. We may queue 1 map, and in force, 2 maps. Which is why we are looking to recruit NA guilds or players. No queue, fun competitive server. No drama. and yes, SEA our SEA teams are fantastic, and we learn and work with them.

I won’t be biased … so RE will not be listed. I like all my guild, but let me share my thoughts on other Kaineng commanders I’ve enjoyed

WM commanders… I like them all, I can’t believe no one listed Schizo Lizi or Proto. They work so well together.

Meow, I absolutely love WW Phil, he always has a good time. Funny in map chat too.

Unreasonable from TL now Meow also is very good.

Jarvan has enough love on this thread, so no need to add more. thirst for blood is unquenchable.

I like Mayo from CO, so calm. Sarabi too been in a few off hour runs with him.

Sano I call our BL commander, I think it’s his fav responsibility or he just so accustomed to it, he gets my props for taking on ownership.

Chips, you get my props. You always will be there when the big guilds come and go, and help provide the random players a go to guy. And LAST NIGHT WAS HILARIOUSLY FUN. Keep up the good work, btw of all commanders … Chips the best karaoke – he melts hearts.

There some pretty amazing guys … too, I can’t name becuase either I play off hours, or I end up often with RE commanders.

A couple commander I miss commanding here: Smile Bruno (irl now barely gets time to tpvp) and Redzone.

Paul, don’t listen to much on here. Everyone primarily speaks assuming everyone knows these things, similar to what they know. Your newer, you’ll get it.

Globs come from using the rare salvage kits or black lion salvage kits on ‘rare’ or ‘exotic’ quality items. You cannot salvage karma armor though fyi.

Karma armor is fine for starters, as you build your karam in WvW feel free to buy some pieces. Start with grenth, he provides a back piece and accessories I believe which have power, vitality, and toughness.

Toughness is important especially to newer players in wvw. It will mitigate the melting factor to … slowly melting. Gives you more time to react. Rule 1, always think about an encounter before engaging. If you are likely going to lose, maybe skip it and move on.

Also, for gearing yourself, you will pick up badges. you can buy gear, weapons and such as you get enough. Little tip, run AC explorer mode to get exotic AC weapons… good base, fairly fast and easy to get tokens there.

I made one assumption here … my write up applies to you if you are close to or about to hit 80. If you are upleveled and still levelling… try to power yourself through the finish line.

The difference in WvW between playing an upleveled alt with mediocre gear (which scales accordingly so if its not max lvl, neither is your uplvl armor), and playing afully exotic character in wvw … is remarkably HUGE.

join roaming havoks squads… they will be no more than 10 and as little as 3. Primary focus is camp flipping and killings off stragglers.

Nowadays you rent everything, contract the service, less overhead. CIO’s direction not person ‘x’ ‘y’ ‘z’… person ‘x’ ‘y’ or ‘z’ put the improvement plans together to address it , and it will get ‘approved/deny’ for budgetary purposes & ROI.

Release an expansion include:
-the surrounding pve map areas (aka mursaat isle of janthir + white mantle & shining blade in maumma jungles + deldrimor – the lost dwarven treasure trove). Whatever you have in plan …
-observer mode
-gvg coupled with ladder improvements
-new sPvP maps
-hidden cost but most critical (anet server upgrade/bandwidth improvement costs)

Let us pay for something we want this game to succeed as much as you do. Skill lag is a fundamental and critical item to an ‘active combat system’.

Whatever the reasons it exists, we’re (the consumers) here to help identify items which are in the NI category, and you guys have done well in fixing some critical issues.

Sure it was very fun wiping other zergs on the battleground, but with the PPT as pathetic as it is some people need to reevaluate their priorities IMO.

^^ … that … I second. Somewhere along the way, the ppt game got a little “maybe later” mentality. It’s actually smarter and stronger to do so, take a lesson from TC during there gripes. I know there are a few dedicated group squads and I could name for example. Ai, and sB as two prime examples. They do a fine job. Would love to see more.

Also I am a firm disbeliever in sticking to ‘x’ maps. The mega zergs I’ve seen from our opponents always hop to pull people off maps…. it’s a solid strategy.

Sometimes if you can’t do it on your map your on, then why not port over to the opponents bl, run some camps and hit a hills or gar, pull them off your map and objectives. I knew many old commanders who did this well. And never … see this done anymore. Everything is very predictable, and I’m curious what our opponents think, whether things are predictable or not.

Example, last night KBL … when eventually it was time to hit bay, it felt as if the timer on that window ran out, and gave them enough time to go mash up some points in EB.

Would love to see some teams playing more the points game (and I don’t expect keeps included, TC zerg has that on lock down).

We did better last night, but still will need to consider some small steps to help.

Wanted to see if anything … may have changed with any of the servers. I enjoyed battling against. You have issue with that or just an issue with everything/anything?

Wow … was just going to have a peak and see if Yak’s and DB / Mag’s were all having fun together. I guess in there own way they are.

DB – you SEA coverage is impressive and you NA crew shouldn’t take insult to having a good SEA … I am from Kaineng, who have played against you guys … also late late nights … your NA guys I won’t skip… you guys combined have crushed servers and helped many jump ship. It’s intense good battles, and many servers (later hours who go outmanned) get the opportunity to have alamo’s … and alamo’s build friends and fun. We still speak of some of the battles with you respectfully. While we got to fight you, it was fun, and you guys deserve props.

Every server has coverage gaps if your not JQ, and those who have coverage gaps, often not like when others are strong during that gap. It’s the same as if someone kick a bruised leg, and the hurt comes out in forum politics.

I hope you guys are enjoying the battles with eachother. I do miss battling some of the yak’s and mag’s groups too, I learned much from those battles and respect all your efforts in teaching, even if it came with some mudslinging.

I know KN has a decent reputation in T2, but remember that most of the other servers below are not fond of us. Getting the NA coverage we need is pulling from the prime coverage of servers who still feel cheated by what happened.

Sounds like the guilds coming to TC are from a server which got stomped pretty hard by TC on our way up as well. It’s possible not everyone you beat hates you as much as you might think.

You sir are kind for the postivie spin … but … people have loathed us at times. It was ugly. Onyl a very small amount were meh okay… kain.

We had months (and hundreds of posts) that were … “do you realize what you are doing, have you no shame, you should feel bad… you just came to farm us…”… and worse. It was pretty ugly en route, to the point … many were borderline ready to call it before we got here. It got bad. shudders in corner

And the people deserving so, could express how they felt. It’s freedom of speech, and we had no choice but to ‘get through each tier as fast as possible’. But it was not easy having to go through it, for all servers involved … each week.

It even affected us, to how we responded, and myself … still hold 1… ugly moment that came out. Which I still am sorry about letting loose (personally, I know they don’t care). We were not very liked at all. I doubt any of that changes, human mind usually correlates names to experiences… I can’t think of a WvW guild that wasn’t impacted, and would say ‘hey I like Kaineng, they good folks’ between t8-t4

I lol at this because guilds move. Fact … and stat came out today noting something like internet forums 80% comprised of complainers. Or host avenues for fielding complaints. Sad that is how we use technology, and communication… for complaining.

Servers recruit too … always … as I will continue to do so, with out a care in the world what anyone thinks of it. I care about people who want to play with me on the server. I care about locating and contacting old friends, and old guilds I have pvp’d with. TC okay to say hey these guys are great go here … if you don’t come to TC. KN say ty… in end its choice of CD guild. CD guild says I like TC better we have old friends there, lets go there.

So I’m recruiting and hunting for KN. So does many other people. So do you said Sam I am, I am Sam and you are you. But why are you the color blue, why your mouth go pew pew pew? Do you guys despise the tries, or do you think it’s all but lies, is it me or he or she, since when are things like this not free. In the end we all do the same, cause we fight for throne of game.

No big deal. People do it, it’s part of gaming. On both sides of the fence, people and guilds do it. And we move on. Let’s have fun, and if you guys need to go back and forth … pm eachother … it’s the technology invented for personal matters and inquiries

How is the pvp actually rating people? Just curious. I am looking at number #1 … and thinking why is #10 not in his shoes?

Is there some sort of activity based metric that is not listed (like #10 has not pvp in last week)?

Many people find them and there team more successful than following a commander, if unproven. Commander Allstar may have been commanding for many months … that doesn’t mean the random player or pug have been there. They may be new, they may not trust someone other than themselves and friends. (hence the stick at the back ranged mechanic)

Maybe they feel they can do a better job keeping themselves alive than trusting in faith of commander. Happens… so many things can contribute, but its a wasted effort to consider that as your issue, versus doing what you can do good. Stragglers will always… always get picked off.

it’s the closest thing to GvG I can do (open field ZvZ) … but its just not the same without maps & strats options. I miss GvG, and WvW is the closest to fun it gets for me

That’s about it. Sometimes its best opportunity to take five recharge, and re-energize. I’ll tell ya what, I got to run with chips, sano, ether and sarabi tonight… and for the first time … in about 5 weeks … I went to a JP after and got free siege, felt very appreciative of that. I had a great time in wvw. Missed the kinda zerg v zerg fights though, and went small squad roaming on an alt (been a while). But kitten it felt refreshing regardless of ppt at the time.

That’s because one of your guilds was going down to FC to train them. The same time we were about to go to help them (look back at my posting last week). At the same time, we are actually noting that we are recruiting to fill one of our time slots where one of our guilds stop playing the game. I understand where you and the others are coming from, but your not actually listening to whats being written, and just saying “why them and not us”?

Which looks more like you are just trolling TC for the point of trolling TC. Both Kain and BG did the respective same for TC 6-7 weeks back or so to multiple guilds that were looking for a new home (many threads out there of proof). This predates you and your argument about TC doing this just now and says its nothing more than an in kind gesture. It’s not a bad thing to play nice. And earlier I noted that I am starting to see FA in another light too, but to continue on this one moot point after being provided the entire backing from both servers player perspectives, and refusing to understand from anyone outside of your own perspective is relatively useless isn’t it?

Think of it this way, Kain FA and TC, have been building and developing relations along the way through this tier, most everyone plays nice, and more so now than before. That makes it pretty cool, on top, in game there are riveting good battles to be had. And a relative equal footing, and yes, a little surprising to see us down slightly, but not without reason. While FA has been actively recruiting here, and on guildwars2guru. Yes, I’m a member there and retain contact with some other guilds from GvG in gwwc/gwfc in gw1. One of the only avenues… if for some reason … let’s say BT or one of your core guilds up and quit. and it started showing on the score, I might look at it and think something is amiss. I’d come here. I’d read the countless threads re: WM. Then they are squashed. Something is still amiss. I know from my perspective. You won’t admit it, but I know. Because I like you and respect you as an opponent, and hey… you may have done this in past for us… I may go bump your recruitment thread to help bolster your server up. Then you might say something. And my friends all do the same.

Can you ask yourself … if this happened, would TC or Kain flame the other or support it? Hands down both would support it, leading a positive example because we enjoy the game and want the opponent (in this example you) to remain fine, even if its only a minor move. Does that help clarify the thought process (even if unfamiliar)?

What Lanimal notes is true. Check postings over the past few weeks, around the time BG was in t2 moving up. You will see many from BG and Kain (myself included) posting all of our servers, and when we knew TC could use a few… promoting them over our servers. It’s the nature of our servers.

Conversely, what’s your point? If somebody on KN wants to recruit to fill their coverage gap, that’s their business. Regardless of what you may think, they’re welcome to do that.

A TC player named Lanimal started the rally to recruit more players for Kain. I could see if Kain was to start it themselves, but come on. Obviously a few people are uncomfortable with not have certain servers in a lead position.

Actually our thread we posted to each week, and kaineng keeps relatively quiet on the matter as we should. Note our recruitment is always ongoing look at the thread itself, and I generally poke around to see who may be moving, to have a chat or note with them. Public information is public, in short. I thought it a kind gesture to note it in our wvw thread, but please do not mix up one thread with the other. TC are well aware of our server recruitment thread, they are smart as they are fun. Sometimes it’s really strange when people do nice things, who knew? In the end I spilled a little of the beans which I shouldn’t have but for those who did not know. All in all, we still rock and will continue to do so, but to me highlights a good opportunity to build around the play time I see requiring a need. Shouldn’t be any issue here, and let’s move this topic back to the current matters at hand. All points have been discussed and all questions answered. Anything past is trolling. Monday’s … always gotta have a good kick start to the work week

KN lost 1 group in NA (left gw2) … and are we actively looking to add some more players. We still have dozens of guilds yes, but actively recruiting is always going to be a part of keeping a community full.

I am not certain what it is like on FA, nor TC … but we know we have room for more players on NA timezone. Especially in PST timezone, its one of our gaps I’d like to fill. We have this high early on, but 9pm-1am … I rarely ever see queue pop. I’m just looking to fill in those shoes.

I see … no worries on the NA, lots of NA folks come and go, these guys just stopped playing gw2 altogether to move to another game, cough cough. Still have many NA guilds, many bigger than they were.
