I just did that path for the first time. I thought it was so awesome I just wanted to tell everyone. It took me a while to find people to do it cause no one wanted to. It takes a long time, but well worth it.
What I liked most about it was, well to me anyway, it felt like a survival horror game inside of an MMO. Trying to find my way through a ruined city with undead everywhere and mad scientists. It really came to life for me at the part with the golem you have to keep recharging it’s battery while standing close it or you’ll get mauled to death.
Anyways, it was great and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It would be great if mesmers could change their spell effects from pinkish butterflies, or a dark violet ravens, or maybe even bats. Maybe an epic mesmer profession quest to make the choice available.
One quest will send the mesmer on a dark path to get the raven effect.
And if a mesmer would like to get back the original butterfly effect they can take a quest to go back on the light path.
(not sure if this has been brought up already)
thanks for all the info
Spvp needs an amulet with the stats Power, Precision, and Toughness.
Thank you
If I am dual wielding swords, does the weapon strength of the off hand sword matter, or are only its other stats important?
I love crafting in this game. In other games I’ve played, the only good crafted gear was the pieces you can only make at the highest level. In this game, from the first level to end, all the gear I made to level the craft was an upgrade for my character. I didn’t feel it was a grind at all, or difficult to level at all. I went from 1 to 80 and always had an armor set that was better than the pieces I could find around the world.
It would be nice to be able to create password locked lobbies just for friends/guildies to join. It would be great for people who only want to duel or try out new builds, or tourny strategies, etc.
Ask Angry Flying Squirrel how he managed to counter it with 4 mesmers. If you can’t think of a counter, it doesn’t make it broken.
I only join small games now. 8 people or less because you don’t see don’t see as much zerging from node to node like you do in a 8v8. It’s more fun that way imo. But there are some that like the 8v8s. But that’s why we have a choice of which lobby to join. Don’t like the 8v8 zerg zerg zerg matches, join a lobby with less people like I do.
I agree completely with the OP. As a teleport, it should teleport you to anywhere the targeting circle can go. It’s a teleport, whether used as an escape or an easier way to get around. Also, it would make the ability a lot more fun if you could use it as the OP mentioned. I actually thought it would work like that and was very disappointed and I used the ability first hand.
It’s a great ability for escapes. But it is highly limited by terrain and that makes it a lot less fun.
thanks for the info
I think I’ll get a faster response posting in this forum section.
I’m using the Sigil of Purity to remove conditions on 60% chance on criticals, with a 10sec CD. I’m using dual weapons and I’ve been using the same sigil on both weapons. Will both weapons share the same CD from the sigil, or will each weapon have a chance to remove a condition on separate 10 sec CDs?

When you have 11 stacks of confusion on you, don’t cast anything lol. Just try to evade until the debuff is gone.
there are so many different ways to play mesmer. I’ve literally changed traits and gear about 40 times to finally get something I feel suits my playstyle just right. Experiment, try new builds, new weps, new runes, new sigils, etc.
And everyone above me is right. No one is wrong because there are many different ways to play mesmer. Everyone’s playstyle is their own and they make it work for them.
If you feel like you just can’t make it work then try another class.
thank you. that’s good to know
I have a friend who is on a different realm than myself. We have tried many times in the last 10 days or so to quest together. I’ve gone to the zone she was in several times while she in party with me, and was unable to see her on map and her portrait was faded black. I right clicked her portrait for a “join” option and there was none. She did the same and there was also no option to join me.
I don’t know if this a bug or maybe we’re just doing this wrong. Any feedback would be appreciated.
I actually like that everyone has their own secret trait builds and gear setups. Maybe just seeing what part of an armor set or weapon set wouldn’t be so bad, but only that.
World of warcraft had a nice option that allowed me to not lose my target from clicking anywhere on the screen. The option to be able to not lose target when randomly clicking to pivot the camera in different angles would be nice.
the max range isn’t far is as far as you can go until you lose your target. If you have a friend in party with you, target them then run in any direction away from them. When you can no longer target them, that’s the max range. Not very far.
But i did just try out Shattered Conditions and conditions weren’t removed when i shattered. maybe it just removes a stack of one condition instead of the whole condition. I dont know. Anyone test that trait out?
nevermind. it works. turns out when you’re in combat you run slower. My friend wasn’t in combat, so i was competing against her while i was in combat so she was faster. I didn’t realized till just now that being in combat makes the character move slower.
“move faster for each active clone” doesn’t seem to be working. I tested with a friend while having all 3 clones out on a dummy, and moving from point A to point B, i got there after my friend.
