I really hope that when it’s ready it’ll be permanent addition. As someone else said, I hope it could be purchased to my account’s / character’s home instances so I could play game within a game in my character’s home just like in the good old days. :P
I think even when they add all the worlds, they should add new secret stuff in it later on…
Because you have too high crafting level to get any exp from those. The crafting items have different color codes in the crafting menu, orange gives most exp and gray gives 0.
IMO they should make some universal shoulder/gloves/helm/boot pieces which would fit all the armor classes by using the existing skins. Maybe using chest and leg parts is going a bit overboard.
I just don’t understand why people cannot accept that some people don’t like it and some do, which means the best solution would be to be able to turn it On/Off.
It’s the same as why won’t Anet make right mouse button targeting toggleable option… they just don’t see (enough) reason to do it I guess.

everything has a charr flavour.
I get it, charr invented engineering.
Doesnt mean other races need to copy their designs.
A human turret could look more inspired by their gods, the flame turret could have balthazaars hounds heads
A sylvari’s gadgets could be more organic like
An asura’s would be more arcane ish.
Norns would be more spirit of the wild-ish

I’ve gotten total of three skins, almost one per day. At first from Monday ‘till Thursday while I was just trying to get all the gear and achievements, which means pretty much 0-2 full runs per day. Now I’ve made couple of days of speed clears from level 1 – 3 with all of my alts.
Over ~1600 hours since pre-start and 0. Black dye was the best for me. After a long combo of 50c worth blues I just started to sell the unidentified dyes. :P
Another trick is to go to the boss to get the camera zoom-out, then leave the boss area and the camera works normally again…. although it’s faster to just re-log. :P
You do get credit, you don’t need to use any of the keys. I took all the baubles from zone 3 except I forgot the ones in top of the horizontal tree trunk near the boss room. I decided to do a quick re-run and try with the whip and I got the achievement.
I’m stuck at 26/27 too, visited the first shop twice already. I already have every other achievement, but not getting the last needed feat just bugs me off. :I
+1000 to this for a millionth time. It’s major pain in the butt as 99,9% of the time I lose my target when I change the camera angle or when playing as a thief I waste unload to my ally instead of the enemy.
“Target closest enemy” option should be fixed, too, as it seems to target the furthest neutral enemy at the moment… it’s more like free over-agro button now.
Since I’m pretty much starting to have enough basic transmutation stones, I was thinking if they could be used to craft item skins. Only one of my seven alts is not level 80 yet and I would actually enjoy using some of the lower level craftable skins without having to spend million kazillion coins to a single fine transmutation stone.
An example recepy could be something like 15 basic transmute stones + coarse longcoat panel + coarse longcoat padding = leather coat skin. These crafted skins could be usable to any level items.
I think it would be fine even if they’d need like 50 basic transmutation stones, as I don’t really have any use for them anymore. :P
They might add new other GW1 armor skins in gem store when the respective expansions (Cantha, Elona) will be added. The three ones we have now are specific for Prophesies Campaign in GW1
Primeval armor set is from Elona. It’s craftable after finishing the last mission in the nightfall campaign.
Not all of the runes are that poor, usually some runes fit certain builds perfectly. I would actually use lich runes on my minion master necro if I could have constant swarm of little critters spawning on hit.
At the moment having 6/6 runes pretty much summon a weak one shottable ally which haves a minute cooldown. What’s the point in that?
Wouldn’t it be cool if for example the lich rune would be something which summons maximum of say 5 weak minions at the same time? Each summoning could have like 5-10 second cooldown. Or that the rock dog would actually be alive more than couple of seconds?
Actually, instead of the item description saying they are soulbound after transmuting them, they are now account bound. Why to fix something they would be removing?
I’ve never ever got a single one from map completion and I have 3 characters with 100% map and additional 80 level character… + two level 40 characters with several 100% maps. Regular transmutation stones however, those I got around one stack now. :I
I’ve got around 20 from black lion chests during the first month after release… or more like during the first week. After that I’ve gotten nothing until about a week ago I got another 5 from black lion chest.
I’m just waiting for new legendaries to arrive atm. Made Gift of Mastery about 4 months ago, after that I’ve been slowly making Gift of Fortune which is about half way done now and I crafted Gift of Metal because most likely the new legendaries are going to need one anyways.

Unless they are in the habbit of outright lying, not making a mistake, but actively decieving, we’ve pretty much been asured there’s a reason to keep looking.
Yet, after all this time… 0 drops. Just look how many people are searching for it, it’s rarer than any legendary weapon in the game if it actually drops.
If it’s actually in the game, it drops in some super-secret easter egg room which no one has found yet.
since its based on RNG, random number generation, each item of its own coding, i would say you can throw percentages and statistics out of the picture. It’s pure blind luck.
Considering I’ve made profit in the long run by predicting outcomes from MF, I’d say you’re wrong on that part. RNG is RNG, but certain parts of it can be predicted and if it’s profitable on the long run, it’s worth doing.
There was a thread about making mystic forge profitable somewhere, too.
Nothing clarifies it except the item type. The most certain “clarification” you’ll get is putting up 4 exotic great swords, after that it’s random chance from the pool of exotic great swords.
You have exactly the same chance of getting Pearl skin great sword than Dusk at that point.
AFAIK this is how mystic forge calculates the outcome of what you toss in the there:
Let’s consider you only toss in great swords. This means the outcome is great sword. To simplify things, let’s say you toss in four level 80 exotics. This means you’ll get one level 80 exotic GS back. The exotic coming out of the forge is randomly one level 80 exotic GS in the game except the ones with specific mystic forge recipe. If there’s, say 20 exotics GS in the TP aka. in the MF item pool, the chances already are 1/20= 0,05.
If you toss in rares, the outcome is one of the level 80 rare great swords or one of the level 80 exotic swords. This makes the chances of getting that one desired weapon (aka Dusk) to be maybe ~ 1/150, depending of the total amount of level 80 rare/exotic great swords. You can calculate your precise chances simply by counting all the great swords which do not have mystic forge recipe in the TP and dividing the total amount by one, which is the weapon you want.
If you toss in Dawn and three other exotic great swords, you’re just wasting the precursor. It haves as good chances for getting dusk as four random crafted exotics.
I’ve been wasting my time reaching random places with my characters where you wouldn’t “normally” be allowed to go. It’s especially fun with engineer using a rifle, if-you-know-what-I-mean.
Anyone else has been going to random (possibly glitched) places? My latest so far was reaching the top of the temple of Dwayna while exploring Malchor’s Leap. I was positively surprised there was 0 walk-troughable terrain or anything glitched what so ever.
I’ll just spam some other nice views I’ve managed to reach. Even if it’s a glitched area, I like to take a screenie which looks like it would be still within the playable area. :P
I think the way to calculate your chances to get a precursor is to count all the rare versions you see in the TP (if using any rares) and all the exotic + named exotic versions. Then divide one (that’s the wanted item) by the amount of them all. That might be something like 1/200 if you use rares + exotics. I don’t know how the exotics with mystic forge recipes affect this, most likely they are not included.
This times a million. I can’t keep a target on a single fight, I always right click to change camera → boom, just targeted and auto attacked random neutral mob.
Specially fun with thief using expensive initiative skills and changing camera angle. Steal going to full recharge after trying to steal something from an ally or trying to use some ranged skill on ally. Also awesome with warrior using the kill shot, but luckily I won’t lose my adrenaline even if I try to blast my ally’s face off.
