I have waypoints and map complete that I want to keep. Not to mention about about 300g worth of gear/runes for various kinds of builds depending upon what I’m currently doing.

Make it happen, ANET.
Vayne. Your argument is invalid. Again, we asked everyone before we’d start each time whether or not they needed the achievement and we got it for them 100% of the time if even one person said they needed it.
If someone is trying to get the Slayer achievement, but I’m farming Skelk…what’s the difference?
>Ideally everyone should be like you. Rules have to be made because not everyone is.
That was Zoso’s intention with the post. To reboot the culture of event farming. It starts with one person. Regardless of that, ANet doesn’t want us farming lucratively anyway so…

We are already working on a fix for this event chain. In the mean time, please report players that are being overly toxic (chat) during these events for “Verbal Abuse” as this is a violation of the User Agreement and Rules of Conduct.
You guys refuse to let us have fun don’t you? Even when we’re farming legitimately you have to swoop in like some anti-fun despot and ruin everything. Because we all know you don’t want us getting loot/gold/mats on our own at a quick clip. You want us to struggle for it so we cave in and buy gems, turn gems into gold and buy the stuff we want. This is a huge conflict of interest.
I ran this event with Zoso all day yesterday. No one complained. We were all having a good time. No one complained. Every one was positive and no one was toxic. It was a fun social event. I had more fun yesterday doing this event (and trio, quaggan, champtrain when coil wasn’t up) than I’ve had in a long time. Apparently that’s not the endgame here though is it?
You people are effing incredible, man. I just don’t get it.
What part of people can’t progress in their story because you want to have fun do you not get?
You can complete that portion of the LS regardless of whether or not it’s completed or not. The only thing you won’t get is the achievement, but we got several people their achievement as well because we asked if anyone needed the achievement before we started. If one person said they needed it, we did our best to complete it for them.

Yeah “let us have fun”. Your farmzerg isn’t representative for the whole community.
It’s a legitimate farm while completing the event. You’re saying those that do it right aren’t representative of the community? If you don’t want to do it right, find another map. You’re free to do it wrong. If you want to do it right, I’ll taxi you in.

It is not the farming that is the issue. It is the people being toxic when people need to complete the event.
I used to be one of those people that would come in and complete the event just to spite the farmers, but since it was clearly stated that “Both sides have the right to complete the task that they set out to do (completing or not completing).” I’ve since stopped doing that.
People have the right to farm and fail events if they want.
BUT
People also have the right to complete events if they want.It is when one or both sides become rude, abusive and/or toxic that a problem develops. While your particular group wasn’t being toxic, there are other versions of the map out there and likely people getting frustrated with one group trolling another and lashing out.
Until people quit being jerks to the other group trying to do what they want, we’re going to get band-aids like this. It sucks that a few toxic folks ruin the fun of lots of people. It’s hard to find that balance to keep everyone happy.
People will be toxic during any event anywhere in GW2. Are we supposed to “fix” every event in the game because someone somewhere is being a meanie face? There are people doing this right. I helped run an all day farming event in FGS yesterday. No one complained. If you questioned why we were actually completing the event, we explained. If you still didn’t like it, we asked you to find another map because we weren’t interested in toxicity.
So let’s ruin another event due to toxic players? They aren’t fixing the event because of toxicity. They’re fixing the event because it’s fun and lucrative. They don’t want lucrative. They want you to struggle for it so you eventually break down and buy gems.

I guess Endure Pain would be a nice alternative. I’d need to see that attack that you speak of though. I’ve yet to run it. Plan to tonight hopefully. I was just wondering if some PVT would make sense.
I have a feeling that you’re run-of-the-mill Berserker’s set won’t suffice in Aether as a warrior. Or maybe it would? If not, what kind of set do you think would be a good idea to take in there if I’ve never done it and I’d be learning the dungeon with someone that has run it several times.
I was in a really good group last night and we ended up running every path of every dungeon save for Arah. I love PVE and dungeons but I’m under the impression that running them a second time before reset would be a waste. I’m not so interested in tokens. Just gold, items to salvage and the chance for higher end loot to eventually throw in the toilet.
It’s braindead obvious to hoard adrenaline when you’re traited to do more dmg at 3 lvls.
In case any one is curious here is a link to the old thread regarding the ember farm. Along with some heated exchange and plenty of screenshots.

Hero of Orr signing off.
“We”? Don’t collectivize. I’m a GW2 addict.
There was an event somewhere that was “bugged”. As long as you didn’t destroy these cauldrons, champ harpies would continuously spawn. If you DID destroy the cauldrons (which had a significant amount of health) the event would stop and a champ boss would spawn. The boss would be majorly scaled up due to the amount of people. Almost impossible to kill. Unless you’re the HERO OF ORR.
I’d destroy the cauldrons and the boss much to the chagrin and amazement (again, it was a lot of hp and no one would help – they wanted me to fail in order for the event to continue) of those around me. The entire time I was doing a ton of corny roleplay as if I was the HERO OF ORR. The Hero Orr deserved! I got quite a bit of hate, but even more adulation. I was getting paid to guest to other servers to ruin the event.
The roleplay and the event disruption was so funny and epic that it caught the attention of devs and GMs who whispered me in game to let me know they loved what I was doing and some even friended me.
I got kicked out of my guild, but the friends I made from that few days was worth it. You don’t know what it’s like to hear “Oh crap. Poetik is here.” on servers you aren’t even on.
… I don’t like time gated crafting…
I don’t understand that, explain?
Crafting stuff whose recipes have a limit on how much you can craft per day. In fact, I find so many of the special items (including legendary) in GW2 so convoluted and confusing I don’t bother with crafting at all.
If you have too much dust make a Mawdrey II.
It eats 200 dust per day.
But I’d have to make the backpiece and I don’t like time gated crafting in this game. I stay away from it.
Any plans on getting this back in stock? DO WANT.
So I think I have like 30 stacks of this stuff. I’m sure some people have more. How much is needed to complete an entire set?
Secondly, are there any plans to add things to the game that require this stuff? I can’t stand crafting so I don’t believe I’ll be making ascended stuff any time soon. Hell, at this point I’d spend 1000 Bloodstone Dust for 1 skill point if it meant getting rid of all this stuff.
Raisin face. /thread
This entire system is so disgustingly broken.
23k achievement points. How.
Seriously. I feel like anet reskinned all of these weapons in less than an hour.. are they even trying anymore? At least let us dye these or something… le sigh.
Hey everyone. This guy doesn’t like the chaos skins. Shhhhh. What will he say next?
Any list that shows LoL and Minecraft as a 1st places is totally discredited.
But talking about gw2, at least for me, is the best piece of cake in the market atm. And I tried almost every other mmos that came around lately.
So facts are discredited. Oh world.
I did mean MH. And isn’t it the single best 1H DPS for warrior?
I’ve seen in more than one place online that for a 6/5/0/0/3 build with Greatsword/Axe OH the rotation should be as follows (again, this is what I’ve seen plenty of quality “speedrunners” say is optimal):
1. Buff up
2. 100b
3. Rush
4. Bladetrail
5. Whirlwind if against a wall
6. Auto until 100b is back up
6/5/0/0/3 usually has Signet of Fury in it which we all know gives adrenaline. OH axe does some serious damage…especially Eviscerate. When Evis hits, it hits hard. Which is why, coupled with Signet of Fury and perhaps Healing Surges newfound popularity (perhaps) after the warrior changes I figured the following rotation made more sense. Correct me if I’m wrong. I apologize if this is common knowledge but I haven’t seen it posted around a lot (DnT guides, etc.)
1. Buff up
2. 100b
3. Rush
4. Bladetrail
5. Whirlwind if against a wall
6. Switch to 1h Axe (adrenaline is full)
7. Eviscerate (adrenaline is spent)
8. Signet of Fury or Healing Surge (adrenaline is full)
9. Auto with 1H axe until weapon switch CD is done (1h axe DPS is pretty good/ CD is usually up.)
10. Buff up
Repeat.
I don’t feel like this is a loss in DPS as Eviscerate can crit for large amounts and you aren’t sitting on your adrenaline or losing DPS from Berserker’s Power because you are basically always at Stage 3 when you need it most.
Am I wrong in this? If you Mace offhand with the 1h Axe you can stack vulnerability while you’re switched to axe and make your DPS go even further. Let me know.

Trahearne said something to the effect of "We were going to deal with Kralkatorrik next until Mordremoth started acting up.
So. You can thank Mordremoth that we aren’t in CD right now.
I looked everywhere and couldn’t find them.
They disappeared after the fight with the dragon. No where to be seen. Plus, Canache was goading Anise when he said “…perhaps you aren’t as young as….” and then she interrupted him.
Something is definitely going on with Anise. I suspected her during the investigation and now this only solidifies something. I mean, Canache IS sylvari, and they’ve been at the crux of all the Tyrian drama the past two LS.
What do you think?
Basically all day everyday.
I’ve never once felt forced to join the GW2 e-sport. I log in, stream, play, have fun, log out.
Saw this guy yesterday.
The color of the current cursor and all the sprites going on, especially in big events or boss fights, makes it really easy to lose an eye on where your cursor is on the screen. I’ve heard plenty of people talk about it and I suffer from it quite a bit in this game. More so than other games. So, yeah. This is one of those neat QoL ideas that I don’t believe would take a lot of manpower and easy to implement.
Use this: http://pandateemo.github.io/YoloMouse/
I had the same issue in Diablo 3.
I’ll try this. It seems to be stuck on set up, but if its legit I’ll give it a try.
Let’s be honest. It can be difficult to see sometimes with all the pretty sprites exploding all over. The current color matches (for the most part) the over all color scheme of the game and makes it difficult to locate the mouse pointer. Give us like 10 colors to choose from. Hell, I’ll work on this with you and get it done in a day if you want
Good idea or naw?
I’ve pumped more money into GW2 than I did LoL. Which is really saying something.
Oft times, when a new MMO comes out we see it go through a familiar growth period. A lot of people may flock to said MMO and really play the hell out of it. I’ve been playing GW2 off and on since release. I adore this game. Its not that I just like it or have fun playing it. I literally adore GW2. I left GW2 about 2 months ago to try out Wildstar. Well, here I am.
I don’t quit other MMOs to go back to WoW like most MMO players. We’ve all heard it before. “I’m done with this game. I’m just going back to WoW.” When I quit them I can’t wait to get back to GW2. I think those of us that still play GW2 nightly know that we’re in the middle of something truly special. I think GW2 will go down as one of the greats, unaffected by the movements and goings on of the other “greats”. Guild Wars 2 is special and I wanted to recognize it today as one of the best MMOs I’ve ever played. I’ve been playing since release for the most part and I think just today it dawned on me. Guild Wars 2 is king.
LS is designed to give you something to do whilst they work on bigger stuff. Calm down, folks.
I’m almost certain the OP hasn’t played GW2 since 2012.
You should lose target if the target stealths. That has nothing to do with what my topic is about.
Oh Lord. That old argument.
GAIZ. UR IDEA IS STOOPID COZ UR BAD, BRO.
In Wv3, PVP and dungeons the battles are frenetic. There’s a lot going on. Things happen. Sticky Targeting assures you that the thing you had targeted doesn’t magically become untargeted if you accidentally click the ground. The ground…that thing that makes up 90% of your visual. If I use Whirlwind Attack and click behind the target, I don’t lose the target. So why not make it so those that wish to not lose target if they accidentally click the ground have that option?
It’s a QoL issue that most every other MMO at least has the option provided if you choose to use it.
But thanks for dismissing an idea with sanctimonious bullcrap. Par for the course on these forums.
(edited by Iconik.8712)
Yes. You just defined the issue.
I’m talking about an option that will not lose the target if you click the GROUND. It’s called Sticky Targeting and every MMO has the option. GW2 does not. I’m wondering why.
That’s all well and good but I was thinking of having an option to not lose target if you click the ground.
I’m surprised this isn’t an option yet. The targeting in GW2 is iffy at best. It certainly could be better in my opinion, but it’s something easily overlooked or shrugged off.
Am I the only one that is bothered that there isn’t a sticky targeting option? Is this something ANet would at least look into if it got enough traction?
Hm. I’m very interested!
For the toast!
So what should I be doing? I don’t know what’s changed really other than Living Story. That’s easy to look up. Where should I be? Farming spots all the same? World bosses the same on the same timers? Are ascended rings, necks and capes still the only ascended gear to be going for?
This isn’t a diss. Genuinely curious because I loaded up and felt a little overwhelmed at first.
Let’s not mince words here. Completing an event isn’t trolling. You can put lipstick on a pig but it’s still a pig.
Those that say “Guys. Don’t attack boss! Just stand near him so he upscales and they can’t kill him”. THAT is trolling/griefing. No two ways around it.
I do it, and have garnered a bit of attention for it because I was seeing people say “Yes! We failed! Good job all!” It’s so utterly ridiculous so I complete the event now and have even gotten a bit of a small army helping.
So you had no other reason to grief a group of people than you disagreed with them.
Yup. By completing an event as intended. Real disruptive!
