Okay I’ll admit numbers and I have a difficult relationship – I call things how I see them, and when you’re rolling through and enemy Zerg for 5 seconds and more are emerging from the culling field, there’s no way it’s under 50 :P There was a VoS Commander there, so you can ask him maybe. Your Borderland is not a fun place to be.

Like I said, you guys are squishy, most every guild here can testify to that, and I know for sure our numbers 26 + a few pugs were beating large FS zergs around 1:00amGMT, if you don’t believe me Xiao, i’ll record it for you next time :P take your insults back from whence you came, we’re Gandarans, and we’re here to stay.

I won’t lie that I approximate a lot and at times badly, but I was in no way attempting to troll, you guys always run with a helluva lot of people, we were spotted anywhere we went, (on your borderlands) and then later on in the night the same, [TMA] guys just live on those arrow carts, very irritating I think LXY have some contenders.

Good fights tonight, we were on AGBL under a second time commander who did awesomely; met TUP towards the end, only to realise whilst pumps to attempt scratching you again, that when I said group up we only had about 4 Guildies there + pugs… waited for the line of slowpokes to join and then ran out as the gate went down, wiped hard as expected, but we did okay considering our number, mostly because INT helped us – bought enough time with the gate repair for Dius to save our hides.

I had to leave later on, in the middle of a Hills attack; hoping we got it as TUP was reportedly nearby at the time, Astralholme I think – was thinking there was hopefully no way you could know due to only white swords.

Thanks for the fights today, sorry for any misunderstandings, no need for such indignation and rudeness, the main thing I wanted to bring across was that FS have scouts fricking everywhere -.-

I have to say, FS is the most zergy server I’ve come across! You guys even beat AR o.O

60-70 blobs all the time, and scouts literally everywhere :O soooo annoying are you guys, you go down if you get sneezed at, but then another 10 come over the corpse… We only managed to take T3 Hills this time, but it’s early afternoon, hopefully primetime can bring something better – although we were rolling your zergs with 26 [WvW] plus 5 or so pugs, no way we can fight you with so many people, and even when we were forced to blob up we couldn’t take your T3 keeps, your defense is admirable and coverage scary; in short, T4 material

I joke, only played you guys once fresh from a week with my own Home server I see, Underworld still as disagreeable as ever? o.O

Anyways I digress, I have to say this was a poor turnout from Gandara at reset; as far as I can tell only [YaK] and ourselves were out in force, and in Eternal the scouting reports were poor and things just seemed to be going wrong constantly, AG seemed to have groups everywhere, and the FS 60+ Zerg was prowling as well. Despite being able to decently challenge and defeat each of these, AG is very resourceful, and countered our one group with 2-3 of theirs hitting different locations, hence we couldn’t be everywhere at once. Didn’t help that no one seemed to know you guys were there until ‘25+ AG at Aldon’s lord room’.

I am kind of disappointed with the turnout from Gandara, but tbh morale is low and people have been waiting a while to get out of the blob-fest of T3 – that kind of stuff… It just gets to you, you know!? ~breaks down sobbing with tears~

Meh the kitten from Piken players this matchup :/ get it out of your head, I don’t know what kind of crap you guys are on (guessing shrooms), but Gandara are far from a night cap server, we have minimal coverage during those hours, no giant guilds like you guys in the middle of your morning glory, and no massive zergs like AR… our guild groups are pretty decent fighting-wise and can contend with most all of yours, we fight and we fight hard. Our guild groups are always out there fighting, and we fight alone mostly, seeing as we don’t have the numbers to cover every map in Guilds and the freedom to get more than 1 or at most 2 through a queue on our own Borders or EB, most guilds stay away from EB, we have no serious organisation or overall picture of what we want to achieve, we just take it as it comes and make of it what we can.

Casta, stop trolling over the forums and get back under your bridge -.- enough kitehns come from you on this thread already – what you’ve said so far, as far as I can tell, has been wrong on so many levels…

EDIT: And gerroff Lloa, although I’d beat the hell out of the dude in a fight if he ever stopped running away, he’s rather respectful and respected as a commander and leader, his conduct on this thread has been pretty much immaculate, and your comments against him just show you up :P

Piken has many guild’s capping at 8am, and are a more WvW orientated server, less queues means more room for guild groups, better coordination, allies and handholding oppurtunities etc.

this i actually agree with to some extent but its still far from whats actually happening on Piken right now.

Even at primetime we have 2 of the 4 maps which are pretty much Outmanned for Piken throughout. yes we dont have ques so guilds can get in, but we dont have enough guilds to play on all the maps. Anyone can login whenever they like at any time pretty much… thats actually a disadvantage when u cant fill up all 4 maps with enough players to be compeitive on all…

We just play hard on 2 maps and leave the other 2 alone pretty much.

At the end of the day im not blaming AR or Gandara for Piken situation im just explainnig that the current scores is in no way a true reflection of the real WvW skill of the players in this matchup. Theres nothing we can do about the current points model in WvW

I wouldn’t go anywhere near as far as to say you only have 2 maps covered :P I can’t remember exactly now, but for the past week you’ve had Augury Border painted. completely yours or mostly yours come primetime, GBL was having problems, my guild rolled out on AR to find XT and VII there, managed to wrestle Hills off them eventually. Piken had Dius I believe, they told me they were fighting guild groups as well, can’t remember exactly which. EBG never changes dramatically, but as far as BLs go you definitely had them all covered, as far as I can tell, whenever we play at our primtimes you have every map covered with multiple guild groups -.- don’t tell me you only have 2 maps covered :P

Just turned 80 on my guardian and decked it in clerics. I see you use soldier rings, but what would you say to do the ascended multistat gear? Switch amulet and rings with all stats? Wouldnt it pretty much balance it out + giving you alot more crit etc?

I’ve been running around with this build properly, full cleric’s for a month and a half now – it’s utterly brilliant, genius really I never have trouble in 1vs1 Cept permastealthers, confusion mesmers rarely, and the odd well played D/D ele. I’m still using the stats Chris had in his first Healway vid, so I’m missing a lot from then to the present – slight alterations being exotic magi back and accessories, couldn’t find the appropriate Cleric’s. I have yet to set sight on, let alone own anything ascended, have never completed a Fractal, and it will be a long time coming methinks Since I started out I’ve had a spectacular experience and grabbed Commander on this character, it’s very good for leading and the heals help the group a lot, also Heavy at the front is kind of basics, although I swap out a few skills and traits for better group play my new favourite character + main = that.

Thanks for the amazing build Chris, and for getting ‘Sail’ on my background playlist, great song – people are regularly asking me for build, saying I play well etc. all thanks to you – you are truly my role model and one of the leading pioneers of this class, keep it up good Ser.

I played EB from reset and we have 4 commanders for the first couple of hours and they NEVER blobbed up at all. They each ran with around 15-20 players. We probably had 60 players online to about 2am when it dropped to nearer 30 players.

At the start when we took SM first we had only 20 of us in the Lords room (20 alive at least). AR definitely had the most players in there.

Also someone said (on the other thread) that the scnd guild smashed through them tonight with a massive zerg… well i was running with them and they had 7 guildies with about 5 puggers including me. Another exaggeration of numbers from our victims lol

In SM you certainly had around 50 we know because we were fighting you :P culling doesn’t affect enemies as much as it does allies nowadays (or is supposed to), you had 20-30 standing in the circle, others all around the outsides, a lot up the ramp (SFRJ) and more coming in, like I said, estimated in between 50-60.

There’s no complaining I was merely stating what we faced today, AR being annoying is good isn’t it? You shouldn’t want to make it easy for us, or else you aren’t playing to the extent of your ability. I just meant that we had AR everywhere and Piken everywhere, Tz and Echo grouped up a couple times to kill us, AA hit Overlook once maybe, ADDC we hit whilst coming down from Speldans, and I think every single one of you took a crack at Mendons!

Well with our humble 30 men altogether with pugs this reset, we were facing 4 different AR zergs, got to give them points for seemingly unquashable optimism and morale, grouping together a fair few times and annoyingly enough being everywhere. Piken had a group of about 50-60+ estimated stampeding everyone to death, which wasn’t fun in SM with such skill lag – they split into more manageable portions subsequently and we didn’t find it too hard.

We managed to get the outmanned buff at 2:00am GMT, barely anyone on Team Speak whilst AR still had every one of their guilds going strong and upwards of 30 members or around the same. Couldn’t tell about Piken as we hadn’t fought them in a bit, but they seemed to have a good 30-40 together.

Piken crying blobbing and Lower pop server? (the entire 3guilds for every 1 of ours and most fights including those figures, essentially hand-holding their way to victory? There’s a few good guilds on Piken, but I have no respect for those who practice this and have such a hypocritical attitude)

[WvW] ran on GBL tonight, was quite fun despite having a majorly large amount of Infantry coming with us, which might have given us an unfair advantage in combat, even though we are perfectly happy to have and bring Infantry with us, I feel for you Piken guys, as I myself get rather frustrated whenever (most all the time) you guys hit us with 2-4 guilds at the same time

We’re a bit newer and less experienced with proper guild tactics and fighting, but I daresay doing well and learning along the way, even with pugs we couldn’t take down the super-mega-roflstomp Zerg that HoB Exe and COTG put together along with their pugs… but I suppose that’s life and not new.

Thanks for the fights today, good fun and partly myself leading and mostly Azradel who did excellently might I add.

Hope to see some of you Pikeys at Duel Day, as far as I can tell the response hasn’t been all that thrilling as I had hoped or even there at all! But then who would want to miss a chance to pound my failish excuse for fighting into the ground with their finisher?

If you want to talk about “entitlement” or being “childish”, talk about the attitude that people who did not dedicate themselves to WvW have that this is perfectly okay since it’s “fair”. Excuse me, if you want fair, then every WvW player should be compensated with a legendary of their choice. My 1000 hours in WvW would have netted me 2 or 3. Do you think ANet is going to give me one? Nope. So do I think ANet should balance title progress for people who never played WvW? KITTEN NO. You cannot complain for a second that PvE rewards weren’t there and weren’t plentiful. WvW players lived in monetary squalor with nothing but the amount of kills we had to mark that we accomplished anything. Now with 5,000+ badges collecting dust and WvW title tracks that won’t “count” for any ATTAINABLE titles, what do I have to show for that 1000 hours other than the fact that I could pubstomp you if you came into a quarter mile of one of my towers?

Talk about fair? Childish? Compensation? Kitten, man. We are just asking for EVENT CREDIT. Like escorting a Dolyak for no karma and no silver and no experience. Give me just the title based off of what I’ve done and just have the passive bonuses catch up eventually. Give me the little medal at the top of my screen to say “Good job, champ!” It isn’t “getting new content immediately”, it’s getting a title that I and many WvW players like me EARNED with hard work. Instead, WvW players are left with empty bags, bank slots, infusion slots, and title tracks while players like you can waltz in with your legendaries like you’ve been here the whole time. Give me a kittening break.

Greetings gentlemen and other assorted creatures

I’m trying to get together a Duelling and Small Scale Combat Day/Event for Friday at the end of the matchup.

The aims of this are mostly to have fun, bring together a feeling of respect and give the roamers and small groups of each server some good fights and challenges of skill

Venue will be the area north of Speldan Clearcut in Eternal Battlegrounds, with fights ranging from 1vs1 to 5vs5, maybe 2-3 fights occuring simultaneously depending on sizes. The time will be 18:30 GMT on Friday (19:30GMT+1), just turn up and have fun – each group size will be done individually, 1vs1 first, then 2vs2, etc. all fights will be until downed.

Any help advertising this would be very much appreciated for any further questions whisper me in-game

Granted some of these don’t run with exactly 30, but they all run pretty kitten close – just saying here that even though you guys don’t have 30 every tim, if you get the extra numbers by pugs following, it might aswell be like that if you’re running around handholding – this doesn’t apply to a few Piken guilds, but what we’re tired of rather than how big your zergs are, how every time we’re fighting one guild another slams into us from the side, then the next from behind etc. etc.

That’s some player’s attitudes on Gandara atm, it’s hard to fight 3 different guilds running within 10 metres of each other, that’s what most Gandarans have been complaining about, if at all, in this thread. Hope this cleared things up a bit.

I think concerning outmanned buff… it’s not useful at all. What good will +20% Magic find, +33% Experience, +33% Karma do with the fact that the server is outmanned. What if Anet brought back orbs of power (5% boost to maximum HP and 50 bonus points to all stats for each orb) and just swap the effects?
That way we could get a meaningful buff for outmanned servers and a nice bonus stats for owning orbs of power (no balancing or hacking issues) available via the secondary, orb of power objective.

EDIT: On re-read realised this adds nothing of value or import to the discussion. I agree the outmanned buff is pretty useless and worthless as it is, something that helped in some way like stat increase/bonus would be a lot better for whichever server has it.

Good fights on EBG versus VII, Lloantix and a truckload of AR tonight

We started the evening by taking SM, then doing some other stuff, getting slaughtered by VII and getting hit at SM by all 3 of those mentioned above – intense fighting there in the Lord Room, fighting Dius, VII and AR repeatedly, hoping for a respite so we could shut the doors.

We had to rethink our strategy a lot to adapt to VII (the pug power numbers might have been a factor) but eventually we could fight them properly, at which point and from then on things went a lot better. Spent a lot of time screaming ‘Dius’ down the line on TS and running madly at Lloantix, looted two blues off him (cheap bugger) and a couple of times turned around after he’d got away or into a tower, only to figure out my guild and allies were nowhere near me xD

We ended the evening by taking SM, one of the guild’s ninja mesmers had somehow stayed inside inner, we got through outer via a nice hole Piken made, and proceeded to take and sweep the place thanks for not sweeping, AR, and thanks for letting us in, Piken

I think you’ll agree with this, I was kind of raging and wtf-ing afterwards.

GBL, wondering around, and 10 augury decide to chase me, I keep moving away from them despite being on my Guardian, they spread out quite quickly, and I’m able to separate some off, I down 2 of them and kill a third, am wondering where the other 7 are, when I lose 6k health, of the 7k I had left… then they crash into me, and beat me down. When I’m dead I can see they set up a Ballista on the slope… they set up a kittening Ballista to kill me!? What the hell? 1vs10 and they place siege?

I don’t know if you guys have heard of the [AE] ‘Assassins D’Elite’ guild, but if you see them, direct them to me, I want to roll them over repeatedly with my guild group…

Do you guys know this guild? Does this happen regularly? o.O

I have 3.1k Total Objectives Capped, which I’m very proud of – nowhere near finishing though, not in the slightest… I will not look at this thread again, for fear of being outdone, I like being ignorant that there are hundreds of players who can outdo me on that regard, maybe thousands, I like my little happy safe bubble and juvenile pride ;D

This change would induce a lack of alt’s in WvW, because you would get owned quickly and make a problem for your server in doing so.

- No playing/levelling your alt’s in WvW
- A lot of rage and qq if a new commander or even a established commander has an off day or every time the group wiped, especially among some of the servers with a less than friendly attitude
- It would scare enemies into staying within their towers, and it would be a lot worse every time you die, as you would feel the impact that much more
- Controlling points would matter less, as the amount of kills on a Server within a full week is going to be a helluva lot, even if you divide it by 10…
- Jump Puzzles; set off fire trap, jump down and tag the downed player = points – the tagging system doesn’t work to this change’s advantage, every enemy you tag is counted as partly your kill, when he dies, in groups people would just target as many as possible, tower defending action would be insane due to the 50 target cap on Arrow Carts, Riverside for example, would get so so so many kills from their superior siege spam, increasing many times over for an enemy that doesn’t know them yet.

Generally this is a bad idea imo; WvW should be about strategy, every player should be able to go in on any level, as ANet intended, rather than being forced onto their 80s against their will, and those having the most Ascended items or the most money to buy exotics winning. On top of this, the younger and senior player base would suffer, I know a fair few guys who can’t make heads or tails of what I find incredibly simple in terms of game mechanics – they will suffer for this, but to make it part of the Server’s score, is a bit harsh, furthermore whenever they venture into WvW all of the roamers will be gunning for them, and anyone that sees them will go and kill them for sure, even though quite a few people only to into WvW for map completion – getting slaughtered repeatedly and mercilessly on the way from A to B to press F on some vista is reportedly irritating, not to mention those PvEers that care not about the score will not care if they’re putting their server down by getting killed 50 times on their mindless path to A PoI.

Good fights in ARBL, so many guilds! Garrison Inner was particularly interesting, I was rather incredulous when our scout reported 5 guilds entering in quick succession… I can’t remember everyone but [BH], [Tohu], [DT], [GoW] were the more prominent ones, on our side we had [Dius], who helped a lot and saved us from wiping at least a couple of times in there.

The skill lag was rather painful, it seemed you guys had an entire army in there, the arrow carts didn’t help either, nor the ballista and barrage of AR from their spawn I think we did very well, only wiped finally when we pulled back with our 10 or so survivors, only to have 20+ [Tohu] and Infantry spot us and slaughter us… the pain factor was great.

[DT] shine out as the main opposition we faced from Piken, good fights, sorry for the extra numbers today, it was literally after a Guild Mission, so we had people we wouldn’t normally on a spontaneous group. Running with 40 for the first time in months, just under that but yknow… if there was one thing I’d ask, it would be stop running away [DT]! Every time, outrunning the durations of our preparation buffs! :P

And painful it was – a that point we had 20 [WvW] but a lot of infantry, only problem being how painful it is to face a more organised group with so few and the majority of our team unorganised. Most of our players had gone to dinner by then, and are probably still eating as I type, making our class balance skewed as well. You guys also pack a punch, the pain factor was great, so many bags for you I’d guess. Didn’t help either that our only fight at LV had a scout informing us of your numbers, which we subsequently discovered were 3x less than you actually had ah how we hate culling, enemies appearing from the mists of nothingness.

:P Just try I’ll leave the thread though, seeing as the attitude just soured.

The only ones I’ve seen with less numbers all of the time are Tohu and Gnou pretty much

XT & WIC + rest of the alliance left to Piken Square I got told, which is really sad for this matchup and especially for RoS, I kinda feel them as a similar thing happened to UW in the past.

Heheh funnily enough we’re facing XT now as they’re on Piken – only fought them twice so far, in the morning, about 20 of us and the same of them; they hit us the first time while we were on the move with our guard down (silly me), we were wiped, second we wiped them whilst they were stationary and together, so 1 all

Fun fights against [GG], [ATFL] and [Echo] so far; we started off with 26 players – bit the end we had 12, was good to see the progression here, [GG] at the stage of the run through enemy Zerg, regroup and charge back stage – we’re on the one just prior to that, group up, run into enemy zerg and flop about hoping they die

One time we had a random SM rush, whilst we were all spilt up and an Infantry member decided to place a golem, we only had a few [WvW] with us, thought it might be okay because there was fighting inside Lowlands outer, but oh no, 30 [ATFL] + infantry portal long behind us and wiping our disorganised group with ease xD

Nice to see you again Piken, I get the feeling this won’t be as easy and lucrative as T4…

Not a bad evening fighting on GBL

Generally we were fighting versus large numbers all the time, we gave up defending Hilla altogether and have it to Augury because we just couldn’t withstand the constant pokes from them and the 3 or 4 Kodash guilds jumping at us all the time – I think we did pretty well as the solo Gandara guild there; at Garrison XxX joined up and together we defeated pretty much every Kodash, which was quite fun, mostly because we didn’t expect it when we were charging in.

To [Tohu], you guys hit hard, very painful and hard to fight when we are disorganised and scattered, also very annoying when we’re just trying to get our resupply and back to 3 gates below 50% on our 2 forts. You guys were pretty much the only opposition from AR, for that I salute you, though we all would’ve been happier if you hit Kodash xD

To Kodash, [ADAC] [SD] [EoW] and a couple others I can’t remember (sorry, I have the memory capacity of a carrot), good fights versus a lot of you, the numbers were irritating at times, and the entire 2 or more guilds versus us alone at all times, gets rather frustrated and tedious, despite it being a signature Kodash thing, defeat one or two guilds only to catch sight of 5 more charging you from every direction. Hurts bad you guys are painful, very painful.

We have very strong fighters on prime time, plus no one’s really putting their heart into the current matchup – too zergy for our tastes. The night crew can get a weeks well-deserved r&r tbh

Haha, tonight was not as fun for us as a Guild tbh; we were consistently beating EoW yesterday when we had good conditions and numbers, but you guys clung together like butter on bread this time so hard to wipe two guild groups with one CNTK saved our kitten a few times, wouldn’t have been able to push you guys out of Hills without them.

We were told everyone in T3 bunched together, but until now I hadn’t seen it on such as scale, [KoA] and [EoW] were definitely some of the best Kodash guilds we’ve seen, after we got wiped a few times with you two combined or alone, we realised we didn’t have the balance quite right, and it didn’t help when people started leaving towards the end we levelled out, we could deal with the Augury guys most of the time, but that was when it was a solitary guild group. Generally enjoy those fights more (less armour repair for us) but learn more when we get our badges harvested from our corpses.

I’d say that fight on Hills South Wall was pretty fun though later on when we thought you guys had left, we attacked Bay with 24, only to have our location revealed by some Infantry attacking the guard, and then meeting what looked like a bajillion (30) [EoW] inside.

A shout out to those we fought at GBL today; [EoW], [ADAC], [Echo], [SD], [BH] and plausibly [ADO]? Good fights from all we had to stop at one point to empty our inventories xD we gave you guys some badges too, tried to make you fight hard or work together for it though!

Highlights of the evening for us included South Bay with [EoW], North East Bay with [EoW], NorthWest Garrison with [ADAC], all of the later Garrison fights in the lord room, and at the start of the evening The Sentry between Garrison and Bay, with [EoW], [Echo] and [ADAC]

Both of our keeps eventually fell, but we put up a good and spirited defense at them in my opinion with both the Infantry and [SN] helping infinitely in our efforts.

Fights were good but painful and expensive we spent most of the time standing in one place hoping you wouldn’t notice us… It worked to an extent the first time, near that Treb, you kept looking at us, then moving round a bit, then coming back to look at us didn’t end as well though!

I think even without the pugs with you, we would have been hard pressed to defeat you at that moment… There are really some things I need to look into to improve the Guild xD more discipline, regulated nourishment, that kind of thing… we barely have anyone with it, and those who do generally settle for Mango Pie because we don’t wanna ask them to buy anything expensive and we don’t really check to see what they’re running or what they aren’t… generally we train to be the 40 vs the organised 20-30, rather than the 20 versus the organised 40 xD someone has to train and lead the infantry of Gandara

Well we had a bad evening.

Fighting [UNTY] guild + a lot of random infantry, dying every time consistently; we figured out after the first couple fights that we had no mesmers, one elementalist and that 20 vs 40-50 isn’t very fun… we’re generally the 40-50 though we don’t train to be the 20, and hence lose if we come against a trained fighting force, especially those with skill and tactics such as [UNTY]… on top of this we had both lack of organised consumables and uncooperative Infantry who wouldn’t come on TS, at that first fight at Mendons some random guy portalled about 10 of our guys into the middle of you randomly generally I’m rather demoralised now.

I think from now on I will be checking which classes we have before going into battle, and adjusting and swapping around people’s characters accordingly, as the lack of some is just so devastating we could and did wipe the Riversiders with the same numbers differential, however they had no in-combat tactics, no preparation, and… well let’s say fighting against a bunch of disorganised Riversiders is a lot different then fighting one of AG’s best guilds.

I salute you guys for a stalwart defence and making me look like an idiot with your wipes of us; we’re definitely going to learn from this, as embarrassing as it was…

Good fun today on EBG versus [PX] first force of AG I’ve seen outside the JP, so kudos to you guys – definitely got the pain factor still, true to your Piken heritage.

Tonight we had a trial leader running, his second time leading – we had at peak 26 members at one point, however with those numbers and his lack of experience, I think he both did amazingly and improved a lot, proud of him

We guessed you guys had about 15, maybe more towards the end, we were winning consistently until the latter stages, I think you wiped us twice altogether, both times with infantry support (I think, wasn’t there for Pangloss though, afk at the time) ; however that’s nothing for me to cry about we’re the infantry supporting Guild of our Server, at our best with some good old Gandaran soldiers at our backs and listening to our orders no doubt in hell we would get wiped repeatedly and farmed should we ever take you guys on with equal numbers, that’s not our focus, what we do we do well, I think that can be said for the both of us.

Despite having lesser numbers you guys sure as hell put fear and anxiety into us, shouts of incoming [PX] resounded through TS and we were always on the look out for you guys. Definitely not lost the fire of Piken, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Hopefully you guys can take this without flaming or jeering, you’re well respected opponents, and last I remember you were respectful too; I only mention it because of the attitude of the above poster :P

I like how you read one thing and post a chiding remark before checking the rest of the post.

Anyways badges are more well earnt by actually fighting your enemy (that’s not in any way due to the fact I can’t actually afford that much Superior Siege), also since when did you not have a defensive line in Hills? I must have blinked at Reset and missed it… Half a minute after we wipe it all we return and find it all rebuilt; no defenses in Hills? Screens or it didn’t happen :P

I’ll admit, IF beat us up a few times today – if you guys wouldn’t make a random unprovoked jibe in the forums, it would be easier to respect you. When we are under good conditions, with our Infantry to back us up, then we can beat you, and when you guys are under your optimal conditions i.e. several superior carts + outnumbering (joke), you can win against us.

Anyways, if your forum representative here, could change the style in which he writes things, be less aggressive and chiding, I’m pretty sure more people would like you.

I was talking about on Saturday all of the evening you guys have been busy wiping left right and centre… Earlier when we were playing in Garrison, for pretty much all of the past week even, in keeping as a designated training week for Gandara, we’ve been using trial leaders As far as I knew, we were never even there when Garrison had been captured, nor did we attack your Bay like that, that screen is from GBL :P in which we spent the entire night owning the IF guys and unfortunately rolling some of the smaller guys of MNSG and D something K (sorry). That’s when I was leading, not incredibly impressed with you guys, you shattered like glass when you tried to hit us only once were we wiped by you without the help of your Superior Siege, which was at 12 midnight and 18 players left, so you can forgive us then

As a guild we run with the men and women of Gandara, rather than alone, seeing as we’re not hardcore or in-depth organised enough to pull off alone, however when we are at our area of strength, running with the Infantry and all vigilant and receptive off commands, you will find/found it hard to dent us. I’ll admit we died twice or thrice in Bay, once after owning you guys at the walls, as we forgot to kill the revivers, and some other group turned up, and once because it was necessary for our own devices, which paid off, as we took Bay within 1/2 an hour later. Still though, we don’t run alone, we aren’t hardcore – try beating Dius with the same numbers, you will see different results.

I am also glad for the countless badges you guys have been kind enough to produce for us it makes up for the entire incredibly rich siege campers thing, that we get over 50 badges per hour, yknow? I had to empty my Inventory repeatedly during the course of the evening, apart from badges you guys are a bit stingy though, only 2 rares Shame on you!

Regardless of the countless Superior Arrow Carts, Superior Catapults, Superior Trebuchets (seriously?) thing in Hills, we only wiped thrice throughout the entirety of the evening when we fought on the Borderlands, one of which was near the end when we had only 19 left, but it was all good, only really fought a few groups, but most didn’t seem to know which end of the sword was for the pokey-pokey.

Come out from behind your walls, Riverside, stop cowering behind your siege and your gold, and you shall know the meaning of armour repairs, certainly those from the IF guild did was fun repeatedly wiping them, thought they’d break quickly, but they kept coming back again and again, not that my growing badge stacks mind, nor the money I get from selling the loot. I just wonder when they’ll run out of money for armour repairs…

Okay after indebting myself to one of my Guild officers, I’ve got pretty much everything down, or to a decent level, Cept I will need some AC runs to get my runes of the monk, of which I only have one.

The count so far is Cleric’s helm, gloves, chest, Magi’s Shoulders, feet, leggings, all Magi jewellery and back, but I’m gonna get the armour part of that sorted out soon. I have my exotic weaps sorted except sigil of Life.

I haven’t had a chance to properly play with the new stuff I got, due to one of the conditions being that I lead Guild WvW Operations then and there, but it’s a small price to pay because I am really enthusiastic about this build. I guess i’ll have to figure it out tomorrow, probably in the JP or just roaming, to find small scale combat to test in. It’s not optimal all Cleric’s and runes, but it’s all exotic and most all didn’t cost me, so I will bide my time with that till I can muster enough to replace it.

Okay I completely messed that up, whenever I said Apothecary’s, I meant Magi’s heheh

Started trying to use this build on my recently 80 Guardian – I only have 2 exotic armours, Shoulder + Leggings, both are Apothecary’s rather than Cleric’s Dungeon Armour gives less of a choice in stats that way.
I have full Magi Accessories, Amulet, Rings, Backpiece etc., and my Chest piece is only a rare; I should have an exotic one by tomorrow; what I’ll say is that Sigils of Energy are dam well expensive! I have barely anything left after gettin this much armour

It works very well at even this stage, despite being a novice at both Guardian and this build, I managed to win a 3vs1 with it, even with less than perfect gear, which I was proud of, also bested and defeated a Backstab thief who kept tryin to burst me down love the build so far!

What I’d like to ask is if Apothecary’s is suitable, or if I need to save up for Proper Cleric’s; so far I’ve been fine, the only real differences are the Power vs Precision, of which I think the latter is okay, because I get Vigor a lot more often with a higher crit rate, and then there’s Toughness vs Vitality. Does it make a massive difference? As far as I can tell, the only difference is higher health, and that Vit is better for condition damage than Toughness, which holds up better against direct damage, and makes your heals look more effective

Do you guys think I need to change it, or not? If so I will just have to look through and see if I can possibly muster enough for the Sigils along with the new set.

Very much +1 to the 24 hour match up idea; would really be good to balance the servers again without weeks and weeks on end of rolling down match ups for a Server.

Take Arborstone, whom we are currently facing, along with Augury Rock, they have absolutely no players, seen a 20 zerg once, in their borderlands, I took a screen shot, to prove it happened, as was the same with many of the people there, had never seen so many arborstones at once.
Because of this, it being WvW rather than WvWvW, despite being able to turn the tables completely at our prime time, AR have more overall coverage and spend every night upgrading Arbor’s zones and ours they have capped whilst we slept, to T3, and then we spend the majority of the day until prime time trying to recap them.
A very slight difference in populations or online times will completely skew a match-up, especially when a Server isn’t there to fight. Arbor on the way down through 5 more tiers will be having the same effect, causing a week of suffering and bad WvW for every server it comes to, and not to mention the effect that would have on the few people I’ve seen in Arbor.

This is happening on many servers, therefore to mitigate damage, suffering, boredom and general pain, please swap to 24hour match ups during this transitional phase, for all our sakes.

Probably on the Crafting proposed bonuses in this thread, I don’t see why crafting should be compulsory to doing well in WvWvW, you would have people coordinating super-door taking down, insta-gibs with sniper rifles, and warg zergs.

I very much like the idea on claiming making the place more guild-focused then just the banners, armour on the Lord and shields on the guards would be epic

I must say, it’s incredibly horrible to wake up in the morning and see everything Blue, and the Pie Chart always 2/3 Blue, having Arbor’s zones all night really does make a difference.
