Well that ended fast. There are no more medium population servers on the NA side and if the rumors are true then the server populations don’t fluctuate anymore based on live population readings.
I don’t see how it’s possible though that ArenaNet measures population based on number of accounts that set a server as its home world. What about all those thousands of inactive accounts or semi-active accounts that hardly ever log into the game? That could give some servers artificially high population readings.
AC just isn’t a fun dungeon to run. It’s dark and dreary unlike CoF.
The spider boss’s poison attacks are a problem for inexperienced groups.
Most groups skip Kholer because he aint worth the time or they let the troll and him duke it out first.
The new ghostbuster thing in p2 is way too slow plus the boss mob has ai issues moving from trap to trap.
Also, AC gear isn’t really tempting stat-wise.
Soldiers is meh and Rune of the Monk is also meh. Most players want full berserkers gear and divinity runes. Why would they ever go to AC which is just a drag.
With the March 26th patch, you could see the area of effect of banners it was a pretty large white circle.
Now with the March 28th patch, the white circles are gone and the banner range has been reduced to 600 units.
Did anyone else notice this nerf?
How about you open the dungeon instance so if they kick you, they’re also kicked.

I possibly have a good amount of people that are wanting to transfer to a medium pop server. We are debating on 2 specific servers (not going to mention) but can we get a brief presentation of your guys’ server (wvw community, ts, any other relevant info) please?

That news piece is out of date. The free transfers are based on live, up to date population measurements and right now only ET and FC are eligible on the NA side.
Mesmer contributes most to WvW with portal.

They don’t seem to have any active community websites or community teamspeak or mumble that other servers do.

And even if you did have community websites you’re not publicizing them and instead you’re keeping them to yourselves.
O I just checked ET’s recruitment thread, they have their website and raidcall listed in small print on the SECOND wall of text post. What a great way to attract recruits. Make your community website so tiny no one can see it.

If you’re looking for answers from a Euro server, you know most of them don’t even post at this forum. (There are very few Euro server threads compared to NA threads).
So if are looking for a response from a Euro server, you better NAME the server(s) you are considering. Most likely, they’re not going to answer you if you’re going to be vague and secretive.
And if it’s Eredon Terrace or Ferguson’s (which I’m guessing it is), LOL, well good luck with that. Haven’t you seen their other recruitment threads already.
The thing with Player kill points is if the players you’re killing die too often u get 0 points. I’m not sure how long a player has to stay alive to get the full 60 points but the thing is u can’t seem to farm other players for wxp.
The perfect place for it though would be the entrance to the EBG jumping puzzle. that’s where all 3 servers can meet each other the fastest.

OK my personal statistic, I’ve only captured 2927 supply camps since the game was released so I would only be 7% of max level. Of course there are other ways to get WXP but wow… nearly 40000 camps or over 8500 stonemist castle takeovers. Seems like a long way to go.
According to the wiki it is linear after rank 5 at 5000 points each. But 5000 is too much…
I think the improved ballista sounds more interesting at this point the supply increase takes a long time to get.
Well HoD is listed as a Medium population server while the other 2 are listed as very high. I’m currently on JQ and we even have the outmanned buff on some maps at this very moment so its a “problem” on all servers. I don’t really see it as a problem though, I like the outmanned buff now.
With almost constant outmanned buff, you won’t have to deal with the hassle of armor repairs plus you’ll get more XP and have a nice magic find bonus.
Of course if too many people transfer, say goodbye to the outmanned buff.
I thought it was 300 WXP levels.
Another reason to transfer to a lower population server or just play on a map that you’re outmanned on.
Nevermind that mass killing spree idea. Apparently you only get 60 points per player kill if they stayed alive long enough. If you keep killing the same players that die fast you get 0 xp so no point in doing that except for regular xp and badges.
No one is forcing you to stick with 1 character. You had to level all those other characters so you must level WXP ranks PER character too.
Splitting it to per character is fine but the ranks up seem a little slow compared to regular leveling.
Nevermind, wiki says you get more XP from players that stay alive longer….
According to the wiki, the Player kill WXP varies from 0 to 60.
So how do you get 60 WXP and avoid getting 0 WXP?
why would ppl transfer to a low pop server?
By making these free transfers to mid servers, it’s more likely that people will jump ship to higher tiered ones because that’s where the fun is. And if pve – guesting solves the problem.
Because it’s free and it could be a nice challenge over there…
We can compare this to leveling from 1 to 80.
According to my calculations, it could be 3-4 times harder to earn a single rank compared to a single level. The first four ranks are actually easy to level but once you hit rank 5 it’s a big grind according to the wiki you need 5000 points to level up ranks from rank 5 and upwards.
The easiest way to level up these wvw ranks seem to be going on mass killing sprees you can rack up quite a lot of points that way. Stonemist castle capture is only 350 points. So that’s only 7% of a rank. For regular leveling, stonemist captures are like 33% of a level or something like that.
No, the cost to transfer to Sorrow’s Furnace is currently 1800 gems. I’m surprised there are no servers other than Medium and Very High. We used to have High and Full servers too.
Are WXP points refundable?

Did quickness nerf affect PVE bosses too?
Logically, they should hurt less now. Hopefully, the nerf wasn’t one-sided and it should make bosses less deadly too.
Specifically, I remember the CoF p1 boss using quickness. Does he seem to hurt less now?
I think you still need at least 1 Mesmer to speed through the boulder puzzle. People are lazy u know and if u had 5 warriors trying to run through it it’s more likely one of them will die.
Quickness was not only used for dps but also to help revive other players faster, build siege faster, and repair gates faster.
This change really slows the game down in my opinion.
What’s wrong with it?
It’s only been a few hours and there’s no “fiasco” except the queue bug.
I like this change and it is a step in the RIGHT direction.
Catapults behind a door to defend didn’t make any sense at all. If anything they should have helped break down the door faster.
And yes we still have arrow carts (very helpful with the zoom out) so it’s the end of the world.
Quickness was nerfed so golems are not a big of a threat as they once were.
Now golems and rams are about equally as threatening. Defenders still have a lot of options.
OK, I saw some posts complaining about the exotic WvW weapon/armor change so I took a look myself.
Full exotic armor sets seem to cost 200 badges less now.
For all weapons, badge costs were halved. Each weapon now costs 1 gold in addition to the badges. I think this is a fair change. I guess ArenaNet would rather have more gold sinks than “badge sinks”.
I’m not sure if the pricing for accessories was changed. And some new skins were added….wooohooo no game changer here.
A rather lackluster change overall. No ascended accessories. Still NO RUNES/SIGILS on invaders set.
The pricing change makes some people more happy and others less. Was there anything else I missed?
I can see a benefit to having the maps split like that. Players and guilds that are map-centric can use this to their advantage.
But I’m more of a “big picture” guy so I’ll still be using the general tab mostly.
Well Warrior banners did get buffed so maybe this will counter-balance the quickness nerf a little bit.

O yes I see quickness has been NERFED from 100% to 50%. What a horrible change.
This is going to slow down CoF as well as other dungeon runs for sure.

People that are taking advantage of this now are really smart. They’ll get all those new bonuses and be extra prepared for future fights.

I saw a guy with 14k achievement points the other day and was wondering if this change would affect him and take away all his achievement points.
Uh no. Many people respect karma trains and PVDooring because it benefits them. They get karma, they get gold, they get XP. They could care less about your skill.
•Updated Outmanned bonus to increase World XP, receive no armor damage on death, and increase experience.
It’s a PVE players dream! No armor damage on death! Call all your PVE buddies to do WvW but then the outmanned buff will vanish! lol.
