Nice gesture but hopefully the new patch is thoroughly tested and there won’t be any problems… We’ll have to wait and see.
Tournament rewards for the World vs. World Spring 2014 Tournament will be available in the June 17th build. Once that build is live, you will be able to speak to the Battle Historian in any WvW map to get an updated tournament chest that has the correct rewards and number of tickets for your placement. Previously issued tickets will be voided with the build. Feel free to open any chests that you have already received now.
To thank you for your patience while we sorted out this bug, all players who completed the meta achievement will receive an additional 100 tickets.
Thank you once again for your understanding.
sweet so even the players on the 6th through 9th place servers can get a mistforged hero weapon now.
Hooray fighting for 1st place means we get double the weapons or triple ascended accessories (if you don’t have enough already). Great!
It seems like what they incorrectly programmed was:
they gave you the rank the server had at the time you completed the WvW meta achievement.
This would account for all the BG players seeing 1st place because they had 1st place during the first two weeks of the tourney and many of the players completed the achievements during the first two weeks. It also accounts for various players from the same server seeing different rankings on their WvW achievement page.
So they incorrectly locked your ranking based on the rank your server had when you completed the 10/10 meta. AND they also failed to award many players their chests. And it seems to be the majority of the players missing their chests are those that finished their achievements early. I have evidence to support that because the only guildie that I know of who received their chest only finished the meta yesterday a few hours before Euro’s tournament ended, all the other guildies finished the meta weeks ago and they don’t have their chests.

We’re investigating a bug or bugs involved with delivering this tournament’s rewards to some players. We’ll update this thread when we have more information available.
Thank you Chris. Hope the bugs will be fixed soon.
Show me how Anet has used the other CDI’s and implemented changes based on the feedback they recieved?
They do not need to commit to any changes based on the feedback they received. Sometimes, it’s preferable for business or balance reasons to leave things as is. I’m sure they debated this or that change internally but what you see is what you get.
The current system is pretty fine for me. They just need to add more rewards to the old wvw maps.
CDIs are created for a particular topic of discussion. Yes there may be weeks of random feedback on various issues. But ArenaNet is choosing to use the CDI format to received feedback in a specific area.
It’s rather poor execution and failure to deliver season reward chests. It looks like Piken Square and other silver league servers are getting incorrect reward chests because the official scoreboard has errors.
Gasp. We already informed them of the issues with the scoreboard weeks ago and it seems they didn’t work to fix all the issues. Gold and Bronze league EU correctly shows 9 weeks worth of points while Silver league EU only shows 8 weeks worth of points.
Very inconsistent and I can’t wait to see all the bugs on the NA side. Enjoy.
If you’re first place, you can also buy 5 non-flashy weapons.
I am more worried that they will talk about WvW tournament one hour after wvw reset.
Isn’t this contraproductive? Wouldn’t it better to have this Ready-Ups for WvW one hour before reset?
No, because the people stuck in queue can watch the program. As for the people busy fighting in WvW, well you can always view the recording later.
Yes definitely wait for the post-season tournament news and announcements before transferring.
Gandara, Baruch Bay, and Jade Quarry.
Hey folks,
Tomorrow on “Ready Up” I’ll be joined by WvW Principle QA Jessica “Wuv Doctor” Boettiger to talk about the WvW Spring Tournament, including a FAQ on the end-of-tournament rewards. See you there.
When & Where:
Friday, May 30th, at 12pm PDT
Guild Wars 2 official Twitch channel: http://www.twitch.tv/guildwars2
Is that all that’s going to be on the program? It seems that most of the questions have been answered on the forum already. Well, I’ll watch anyway.
Welcome Jessica! New ArenaNet staff member?
Interesting mechanic, perhaps there should be a note added to the wiki.
You should have transferred before the tournament started.
It wasn’t buy to win. Many people took advantage of FREE transfers to move to servers that had a high probability of winning. Of course these people had excellent business acumen to go to the servers that will be granted the most rewards. Not much to say about the servers they left behind except that 500 tickets is way better than 200 tickets.
Expect an announcement by next Tuesday.
EotM is just superior game mode.
Agreed.
its spiking up again half of the thick leather sections are gone from the trading post wow!
Funny I just hopped over to Queensdale to check out the map chat and some guy was ranting repeatedly about where the train was… no more QD Train yay!
Now there’s only “Online” or “Unknown” …
You forgot:
•Blast Finisher: •Area Healing: Increased the culling priority on this combo’s effect. Reduced the size of the wave effect by 25%.
It isn’t new content really. Most of it is Recycled content.
No, this isn’t Taidha Covington.
If there’s a better argument for not using points to determine winners, I don’t know what it is.
Please, Henge of Denravi already earned their victory and now they can rest as they please. Now Fort Aspenwood and Yak’s Bend? It’s a little bit too late to stop HoD from getting first place.
Edge of the Mists has a consumable that allows a sentry turret to be placed that scouts enemies and marks them as orange dots on the minimap. I don’t believe these consumables were supposed to be allowed on the older WvW maps but perhaps there are other players on your server that found a way to use the consumables. You purchase these consumables from the observatory on the overgrowth side of Edge of the Mists and they work great in Edge of the Mists.
There are quite a few errors on the official tournament scoreboard https://leaderboards.guildwars2.com/en/eu/wvwgold. Please ArenaNet get the scores updated or double checked. Thank you.
EU incorrect scores:
Baruch Bay should be 21 points, Missing a Third Place
Jade Sea should be 21 points, Missing a Second Place
Elona Reach should be 19 points, Missing a Second Place
Kodash should be 19 points, Missing a First Place
Augury Rock should be 9 points, Missing a Third Place
Gandara is 33 points, but Missing a Second Place
NA possibly incorrect scores:
Offcial scoreboard has
Kaineng with 15 points with 2 First Places and 5 Third Places
Eredon Terrace with 13 points with 3 Second Places and 4 Third Places
http://mos.millenium.org/na says that
Kaineng should have 17 points with 2 First Places, 1 Second Place, and 4 Third Places
Eredon Terrace should have 11 points with 2 Second Places, and 5 Third Places
The Week in Question for Kaineng and Eredon Terrace appears to be Week 6 of the tournament.
mos.millenium.org reports the final scores for Week 6 to be
Kaineng 194 321
Ehmry Bay 233 374
Eredon Terrace 193 705
It is possible that ArenaNet correctly awarded Eredon Terrace 2nd place in that matchup depending on the Final Scores before reset. mos.millenium.org shows that ET was ticking higher in PPT than Kaineng around reset time but we know mos.millenium.org has issues tracking scores around reset time (that is sometimes they stop tracking the scores because of late resets).
Also the gw2wiki needs to be updated

It is working as intended. Quit begging for a free world association change and work for it. You have 13 days left to go get it.
Please, they’re going to keep this information a Secret until they’ve finalized their business plans.
Or was it destroyed by Scarlett already?
Does it really matter?
It’s the same track you hear when fighting Mai, right? If so, it’s a GW1 soundtrack called “Kathandrax”.
Thanks, I think it also plays during the Cursed Shore meta event, Defeat the Risen High Wizard and secure the Promenade of the Gods.
The old maps seriously lack variety and their age can be seen. The Borderland maps are a wasteland. The few people playing it now for PPT will soon be burned out and there will be nobody left to play there.
Eternal battleground can be improved and saved. EOTM the same, but the old borderland maps have to be completely redone or replaced.
The borderland maps are simply not as rewarding as EOTM or EBG and That is why hardly anyone plays them. Increase the rewards and then people will go back to the borderlands maps.
Your world association is not determined based on the sheer amount of time you’ve spent fighting for a world, but rather the things you’ve achieved during your time fighting with that world.
Thanks for your respons, but I am 100% certain that I’ve done way more during the season on my new server than my old one, I’ve already wrote tickets about this and they just ignored :/
It sounds like you need to finish the Spring WvW achievements with the new server in order for the association to change. But if you finished your achievements with the old server already, then you’re out of luck, unless Mark is talking about achievement points in general.

This is based on number of guilds that have claimed structures since April 5th, 2014 see http://gw2.brutebyte.com/api2/
Remember, this is only a rough measurement of how many guilds each server has. These guilds could have a membership of anywhere between 1 to 500 members. Many guilds could be run by the same people. Also, some WvW guilds never claim structures.
A few interesting points to consider from the data.
1) German servers have the most guilds (only beaten by unofficial role-playing server Tarnished Coast overall)
2) If all guilds were equal, then Tarnished Coast would be about 4 times the population of Underworld
3) Number of registered guilds is correlates strongly with weekly WvW rankings but some servers like Seafarer’s Rest might be doing better with less guilds (again we don’t know the exact sizes of their guilds so they might have bigger or better guilds than Riverside).
What’s the name of the song when fighting Lornarr Dragonseeker in the Snowblind fractal?
I built a tool a couple weeks ago to track guild info based on claiming objectives in WvW. So you can check WvW guilds for each world, and see when they last claimed an objective and other stats
Nice Charles, quite a gem in a sea of useless forum posts. .
If it is such an easy problem to solve, what do you recommend be implemented to aid the issue that doesn’t punish players?
You must be new here. Tons of suggestions have been made in the past months alone. There’s dozens topics about the issue.
none of those suggestions were worthy of implementation. the status quo is here to stay (at least until the tournament is over).
yes you will get the penalty. I suggest not transferring.
I think everything tapered off after the majority of players got their WvW spring achievements done. The first week was much more busy but the achievements were so easy to get when people got done with them they hardly entered WvW.
EOTM is supposed to have good rewards. At least it’s more of a challenge than most world events these days (Golem Mark II, Fire Elemental, Frozen Maw, Shatterer, Shadow Behemoth, Taidha Covington, Jormag, Karka Queen, Ulgoth Modniir, Jungle Wurm, Megadestroyer all easy peasy compared to EOTM)
Fighting Tequatl is somewhat challenging, I compare it to fighting an organized zerg.
And fighting the Triple Trouble wurms; well that’s more like fighting outnumbered all the time.
Like many people have said, they need to increase the rewards in the older WvW maps, not nerf the EOTM rewards. Eternal Battlegrounds is more rewarding than BL maps especially after they took out the Quaggan nodes. One thing they could do immediately is add those EOTM style chests for capturing objectives. Also, players should get rewards for capturing all 5 ruins on borderlands maps. They could change the veteran harpy/ice wurm/warg/skritt and centaur camps to offer some type of buff if they are captured/killed. Same with the hylek/dredge/and ogre camps in EBG. Also maybe a buff for killing the grub.
Adding it to the wallet would be genius. Then, no more clogged inventories and you still retain your insane amounts of them.
Yes, please add these materials to the account wallet. They are so common.
Spawn camping and 2 v 1 are fun activities. But expect more Sanctimonious diatribes as the tournament draws to a close.
I don’t think the 1v1v1 has worked since DaoC
Thanks for mentioning DaoC. I think the 1 v 1 v 1 was more clearly defined there because of the lores of Albion v Hibernia v Midgard. Each side had a unique culture, but in this game all the races are mixed together and servers can be populated with any of the races. Makes you wonder what might happen if they separated out the races in WvW (Human v Charr v Sylvari v Norn v Asura).
I’ve created a separate thread to discuss that idea https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/wuv/wuv/What-if-WvW-were-Race-vs-Race-instead/
Norn vs Human vs Charr vs Asura vs Sylvari. It might make people more loyal to their sides.
You, and any other player arguing against 2-vs-1 are resorting to empty rhetorics in a futile attempt to gain support to a self-invented set of imaginary rules on how WvW is supposed to be played. In doing so, you are persistently ignoring the very clear statements made by game developers themselves, or claiming arbitrary restrictions to what they must have meant.
It’s funny when you search for “match manipulation” on google or bing you get links to guild wars 1 or guild wars 2 forums.
No to first six suggestions. 7 is reasonable though.
