Nope you can AFK and cause events to fail just like the dead people at grenth and tequatl that won’t waypoint to reduce scaling. Like I ran past a couple of defeated players dead bodies even though they cried for help. It’s not griefing to do nothing to help the dead people so it’s not griefing to do nothing to help the lyssa defense event.
Join the Gandara teamspeak and beg for help. Play WvW 24/7 and find a commander that is willing to go for the tougher towers and keeps.
The so called griefers are doing you all a service because eventually so many people will be frustrated at not being able to get the trait that eventually there will be changes made. By the way, this isn’t the first thread complaining about the lyssa defense event.

Goldenwing: Yes, you are completely true, but i mean that by the principle should be all the items on legendary weapons accesible by normal play, not by TP. But I can get through it, since gold is not the biggest problem for me.
Please. TP is a part of normal play. Putting asinine restrictions on yourself won’t help you get gift of color / legendary weapons any faster.
Well now that megaservers are completely rolled out it seems unified guild chapters should happen anytime now.

No, it just lumps all players of a certain color together. The megaserver system prioritizes a certain instance for you based on a number of variables. To the best of my knowledge nothing similar occurs in EotM – though I’d love for you to prove me wrong on that.
megaserver prioritization doesn’t actually work so they’re actually just another word for overflow servers which is exactly what EOTM is. examples are guildies doing guild missions that end up on different megaservers. the same thing happens in EOTM where unpartied guildies can end up in different overflows whereas partied guildies end up in the same overflow. There, I proved you wrong.

I think it’s only a matter of time before WvW is poisoned with the megaserver disease that has fully engulfed PVE maps now.
DAoC had “clusters” and other games have server mergers, and it seems that GW2 is going to have the same even in WvW. But there are a few things that still need to be addressed like queues before megaservers is rolled out into WvW. We currently have 27 EU servers and 24 NA servers and my prediction is that by the end of the year we’ll only have half as many.
O sure, they’ve given assurances otherwise, but after the bulldozer rollout of megaservers in PVE, I fully expect similar consequences in WvW.
Well remember Guild Wars 1 was a megaserver except you could select the instances. Besides the language, guild mission, and world event issues, I don’t see a huge problem with megaservers.

I will only say this once:
The megaserver idea looked good on paper (like the FoTM leaderboards)- in reality it is a failure breaking up server communities, guilds and a cause of immense frustration for many players (lag, zergs, fixed timer schedules, guild missions).The failure to split EU communities by there home server (esp language based ones)- shows the lack of US understanding on different societies work. Europe is a very complex hub of many languages, cultures, histories and styles.
It is not like a state based US system where everyone just “gets on together”.
The auto blocking of other languages is not helpful – now everyone who is on a US server will be completely clueless and unable to communicate between our Chinese friends and English speaking friends.The sooner this concept (of megaserver) in it’s current form is rolled back the better.
No I don’t believe Chinese is affected. This language change only affects French, German, and Spanish.
This option will force players to use English text language in Edge of the Mists or else their scouting reports and commands are likely to be ignored.
Yes, this option might be OK for PVE but for EOTM it will cause more problems than it solves.

When I switch language in my interface, it’s to change the language of the interface, not the language of my communication with others!
You have about zero clues regarding what your customers want. All you see is your money going to waste with too many servers and can’t think of what is good for your customers!

Exactly. Turning this option on by default doesn’t solve any problems. It creates problems because now you have a whole bunch of hidden messages that could have been actually written in English or whatever language you understand.
I can’t find the option to turn off not seeing other languages in chat. I looked in general options and chat options.
It’s in the chat area itself at the gear icon. Boy ArenaNet’s options are so user-friendly. NOT.
EDIT: EOTM is fixed now because the chat filter is disabled.

Well it looks like Runes got buffed overall. I’m thinking of using Rune of Strength or Rune of Mesmer (but wouldn’t know what to put in 6th slot except maybe Ruby Orb).
According to posters on the dungeon forum, the dungeons are a lot easier now with the ferocity “nerf” and we’re actually doing MORE dmg now in the downscaled dungeons like AC CoF etc
I was hoping for a 5% to 10% reduction but they decided to do a very drastic cut on silver/gold income with what seems like a over 50% reduction in silver from event completions.
Some guesses as to how people will adjust to this radical change:
1) Do the easy dungeons
2) Do world events (which seems to have gotten buffed)
3) Quit playing. ^^

They arent yet. And they are handed out for a limited time, with limited resources that you get by your server winning. In other words, blobby servers get more then others. Because… of reasons.
PvE has gotten this much new skins at one point on a monthly interval. WvW got unique skins after 20months.
Let that sink in for a moment. A game, advertised where making your character look unique. Had one of its three major gamemodes completely lack unique visuals, for 20months.
And as i said, they arent out yet. By the time they are itll be 21months.

Could we please get the scores fixed. It seems the matches and the gw2wiki are correct this week but this “official” scoreboard has some errors.
I did not want to sign up to another forum just for matchup threads where people keep complaining that either their zergs isnt larger than the enemy zergs, or that the enemy zergs plays at a different time to their zergs so they are always outnumbered.
But TBH anet should never have closed down the matchup forums. The only reason they closed them was because it was too much effort to moderate them as there were too many threads all the problems with WvW that still have not been fixed.

Until ANet gets rid of 24/7 scoring in favor of 4 or 6 hour scoring time blocks, removes scoring completely, or continually balances servers by force across all time zones, this will stay broken.
Nah, we already have edge of the mists for 4-hour wvw blocks.
Just buy a commander tag and go to edge of the mists and karma train.

I just maxed out supply master to see the siege site invulnerable thing but I checked my siege site and didn’t see any buff. Does this ability actually work or is there just a really short timer?
Battle Standard should just rez the NPC to 25% health, right now I think it’s 50% which is too much.

It seems that crafting from 450 to 475 requires 9 exotics. And then crafting from 475 to 500 requires 10 or 11 exotics based on the guides from gw2crafts.net.
If I were to use a crafting booster, how many exotics would I need to craft to get from 450 to 500? (Actually I’m starting from 460 to 470)
If 470, I’m calculating 2 exotics to get to 475 then 10 or 11 to get to 500
If 460, 5 or 6 exotics to get to 475 then 10 or 11 to 500?
Probably overthinking it but wonder if the crafting booster would help a lot here.
Green keep just needs to be easier to capture the boss takes a while with a medium size group of random players.
