Elixir X is completely uninspired, a copy/paste from two other professions. Neither of which use the elite we copy from them. Boring!

The only issue I have with Elixir X is that it only has 2 elites on it. It should have 7 (one from each class except us).

Ideas:

  • Rampage as One (our turrets and kits count as the pet attacks for this purpose, our weapon attacks as our own).
  • A slightly modified Renewed Focus (Toolbet skills cause 25% less CD for 1 minute in addition to the invulnerability).
  • A version of Spin to Win where we throw grenades to random distances.
  • Mass Invisibility.
  • Lich Form

Um no. Lich Form might be ok but mass invisibility would be a disaster while trying to take or hold a point.

No the system should be kept as is. The leaderboards already show who has the best win percentages and ranks on the leaderboard are based on player rating so it’s fine.

Emotes however should remain earned through time spent on the game. It was the same in Guild Wars 1 where the players that played the most got the better emotes.

Team stacking is a huge problem in hotjoins. I see people switch to the winning team every single match. I also see people camping spectator mode to see which team comes out ahead in the first few minutes and joining that team.

It’d be nice if we got GW1’s random arenas as an option for hotjoin. Random team, random map, no team stacking. The dishonor system from GW1 would also be nice: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Dishonor

Necromancers are very strong now yes but they did need a few buffs because before the patch they were trash in PVE. Now they can deal a nice amount of damage.

Their healing skills could be reworked though. Maybe increase the recharge on consume conditions or limit the amount of conditions consumed to 5. Or how about making summon blood fiend viable in PVX lol. Or they could just nerf Fetid Consumption.

ArenaNet gave warriors 2 ranged weapons and several traits to go along with them. Don’t try to pigeon-hole warriors into a melee-only role.

Warriors are better with rifles than engineers in PVE and their longbow is ok I guess (I don’t personally use it).

But I do agree warrior’s melee options need to be improved, especially with sword main-hand and off-hand, shield, and mace main-hand.

I feel like necromancers are better now in pve with the new Dhuumfire trait etc. I’ve retraited to 30/30/0/10/0 and it seems a lot better than before killing trash mobs. Gotta do some dungeons and fractals though to investigate further.

I think ArenaNet should try moving IC to a Master Adept Trait or Minor/Master Master Trait instead of pushing it all the way to Grandmaster first.

The current change is too big for a lot of players.

The BIG nerfs are that Berserker’s Power and Heightened Focus are being moved to Grandmaster traits while other more useless traits are being moved down.

My Mesmer never used Illusionists Celerity anyway.

I used to think traits that reduced cooldowns were really good but I think the game is supposed to be balanced around NORMAL cooldowns.

If you can’t play the game with normal cooldowns then that’s a problem.

Turrets are ok in fractals. I used healing turret on the champion grawl shaman boss. The healing turret didn’t take any dmg from the burning. Cool.

I was never one to complain about buffs but from the unofficial release notes, it looks like almost every class is getting a ton of buffs and it’s a little disturbing.

Yes, ArenaNet in the past has nerfed many skills to the point of uselessness. But this patch seems to be going to the opposite extreme of making everything overpowered.

You can say no problem we all needed some buffs, but just remember the monsters will probably be buffed too.

Since I have an 80 of each class I’ll have a lot of new stuff to play with if all these changes are made. Hope they don’t make the game worse in the long run though.

Who says the new matchup system doesn’t give fun and balanced matchups. On the NA side, Tiers 1 4 5 6 7 all look balanced to me.

Yes there are 3 blowouts. But the same thing happened before the new system was introduced with the old and stale matches.

From May 25 to June 1 we had blowouts in Tiers 4 5 and 8.

This week we have them in 2 3 and 8.

At least the new system gives us some variety.

Problems w/ missions started by other guilds

We ran into this problem last week where one guild already had the guild rush we were assigned activated with like 15 min left.

Our plan was to wait it out and let their timer expire before we activated ours so we could have the full 30 min for those that are slower with guild rushes

However some of my members went on to do the other guild’s activated rush and they got their commendations and chest. They claimed they did not accept the reward at the end but someone must have accepted the reward and then in our guild log it said guild rush completed.

So I had to build another rush. Upon activating the new rush, we find the same situation, another guild has already started a rush over there. So we just said screw it and do this rush that the other guild started to get our commendations.

It’s a small problem right now but it could become bigger with more guilds doing missions and having to share bounties/challenges/rushes/puzzles.

It seems ArenaNet should implement some sort of “do not take credit for other guild’s activated missions checkbox” to avoid this type of conflict instead of giving EVERY guild member a prompt at the end of the mission. The prompt that is currently given should only be shown to guild leaders or officers with the mission control checkbox.

Guild Challenge "Completed" but not shown

Yes, this happened 3 times to my guild last week doing the Blightwater Shatterstrike – Blazeridge Steppes guild challenge.

On our first 3 tries, we finished the challenge very quickly like 3-4 min and none of the crystals regenned to full health.

On our 4th try, we dragged it out a little, broke a few crystals early let them regen and whittled them down again and finished with 10 min left out of 20.

We finally were awarded merits on our 4th try.

Well my guild tried to do crab scuttle the other week on an overflow shard. We did manage to get all 15 rushes in VERY fast I might add. However, we were not awarded the merits. I guess it was because we did it on an overflow shard instead of our home server.

There’s also another problem I’d like to address in a separate thread of sharing guild missions with other guilds. It seems to be becoming a bigger problem.

At the moment, guild puzzle feels very close to a raid or guild raid.

All that’s missing is a big boss to kill and maybe some more trash mobs and sub-bosses.

And loot that isn’t limited to once a week.

If guild raids (or advanced guild jumping puzzles are introduced), hope we can get daily rewards from them at least.

With Commander, you get some more people that will listen to you and follow you around.

Is it worth the 100 gold?

Yes, for sure, if you’re not scared of actually using it.

This means you buy it with the intention of having the commander icon up most of the time. And you don’t let other people bully you into turning it off when having it on is perfectly fine in most situations.

Hi, my guild Evil Angels [EA] on Crystal Desert (North American server) is offering temporary memberships to players in need of guild commendations. All that we ask you to do is participate in the guild missions.

Here is the current mission order on Saturday reset time:

Guild bounty, guild challenge, guild rush, and guild trek. Guild puzzle is currently being built and we expect to have it finished later this week.

My guild just did the Blightwater Shatterstrike guild challenge three times and the guild system still didn’t give us credit for the completion. We finished it successfully all 3 times. What gives? Is there a delay before our completions are recognized? Do we have to keep repeating it over and over until it awards completion/merits?

The only servers that deserve free transfers are the bottom rung below 1000 ratings points: Vabbi, Fissure of Woe, Eredon Terrace, and Ferguson’s Crossing. None of the other servers should have free transfers unless their rating points also fall below 1000 rating points.

Sounds like some server is losing and wants to blame their wvw population and Arenanet must come up with a solution for them.

That’s not ArenaNet’s responsibility. You want more wvw population then you must draw more people to your server.

ArenaNet only has a few ways to help you: give your server free/discounted transfers, change the name of your server, mark your server as “medium/high/very high/full”, promote your server on their home page.

Most of these things wont work because they will lead to accusations of bias. And they certain will not autobalance the servers in terms of population or force players to be on servers they don’t want to play on.

They gave free transfers to Medium population servers a while back; a few people still got angry. You’ll probably see less of these promotions now.

Mos currently shows that Gunnar’s Hold and Arborstone are GAINING dozens of rating points by losing badly on points in these matches.

Rangers and thieves are not the lowest of the low imo. They have some pretty good dps when built right.

Worst imo is necro. Their ranged attacks are awful. Axe is ok but the range is often too small.

I agree with your comments Bright. They are always quick to fix ‘exploits’ but very slow to fix or address real issues brought up by the community.

And if it is not obvious by now, then it should be. They do NOT care about our complaints. Bugs will be reported for months, and when a dev finally makes a comment concerning said bug it is only to say that it is working fine. Meaning they don’t even know that it is broken.

Players have documented bugs, given proof of bugs, and yet still no action or acknowledgement by the powers that be. They act like they don’t know the bug exists and keep on smiling. I really don’t know what it will take to get them to address some of their bugs.

How about adding pointless changes like the icons to the aquatic fractals or adjusting the mountainside of the snowblind fractal. It took them some time to make these very minor changes. How about fixing some real bugs instead like the party ui issues.

It looks like ArenaNet mixed up the code for crude salvage kits with master salvage kits.

I remember a thread a while ago that showed that crude salvage kits return ecto at a rate of 50%.

So now master salvage kits are overpriced pieces of junk. Buy crude salvage kits all the time!
