im calling you all zerker drones because you are unwilling to look for other options which might open after this patch, zerker is best for running CoF p1 or for bragging about lupi solo kills.

I’m gonna tell you right now. You will not receive an official response on this. Yep. I know, it’s funny. It’s also depressing. A dungeon team does not currently exist. The only feedback you will receive here is from dungeon forum regulars.
Here’s mine:
lvl 35 drops are fine. Why? Because it gives access to lower tier materials from salvage that you normally wouldn’t come across as an 80.
Many dungeons need an overhaul, especially in the ways of giving loot from trash mobs and new uses for tokens. I would love to see a hard mode setting much like in GW1 with unique skin rewards, but we all know how that would go down with the many who could choose to opt out but instead would rather dictate that such a mode doesn’t exist because ‘leetism hurts teh communities! This would also require resource investment from development which won’t happen because it will not = enough of a profit.
In all however, I would like to see them just say kitten it, leave the dungeons as is and start over. Make a whole set of entirely new dungeons. So many of us are just bored of doing the same thing over and over. You can change the encounters but at the end of the day it’s still the same content.
Also ‘zerker or gtfo’ is not the prevailing attitude. There is however a ‘I am making my own team and I want this in it.’ attitude which everyone is entitled to. This enables the freedom for you to make your own party and also decide what you want in it.

Yep.. really I see it like this. The majority of the community needs to be babysit like a bunch of children. Spare no expense, wrap towels around door handles, soft rubber around corners of walls, fences around stairways. They are completely incapable of actually doing the right thing. Unfortunately we all have to bear the consequences of this and now when there are actual meaningful changes that could be made anet uses this as an excuse.

If they are equal skill then they don’t need to run another gear set. If they are lesser skill then they do. Not seeing the problem.
Just make a group stating ‘no stacking noobs’ and leave us be.

You can’t really optimize for both with one build.
Of course it isn’t good if all you care about is damage – it’s obvious. Of course you will want some sustain for your party in high level fractals. Maybe you weren’t in them yet?

This was a bit of a pain because we were mostly hyrbid builds with one person being full bleed specced. I was running a vuln build myself which can usually maintain 15-25 stacks on legendaries, but I could not keep anything on this boss for more than a instant.

It will change nothing but the run time, and even then not by a huge amount.
As much as people cry about what other people are doing on their runs in zerk gear, nothing will change and their pvt/rampagers/clerics/playhowyouwant builds will still never keep up.They bought into another PR stunt and gear diversity for the sake of efficiency will remain not diverse.

Look the picture that I have joined, my warrior full zerker/scholar. Im using it not because of skill but because it is easy and requires me to not dodge when I do PvE. Dead mobs deal no damage if you didint realise that yet, I dont know what to say.
Why are you ignoring the truth? You know that the majority of the boss is either stacking in the corner and pressing 1 or just stacking on the boss and pressing 1. I know what I’m talking about I made 1,5k gold in 1 month from dungeon running but I cant do it actively like I was doing before now, I get bored and there’s no challenge.
Note that I dont hate PvE, in gw1 thats what I was doing for most of the time because there was a risk to die at least. But not here sorry.
1.5k is pitiful and means nothing. I’ve seen cleric’s AH guards with more money than that, simply from leeching off others.
Also speaking of ignoring, you ignored my reply. Please provide a video where your whole team stacks on lupi and auto attacks him with no dodges or any other actions.
If you spent a whole month simply walking up to bosses and pressing 1 then I feel sorry for all the teams that carried you. Vulnerability, weapon swapping, dodging, might/fury up keep and banner uptime is so over rated.
Here is a tip though, pressing the 1 button doesn’t take a screenshot for you, that’s why you had to whisper a friend.

I would still run berseker gear, and all other sets would still be a joke in dungeons. GJ anet, I’m sure this will fix everything.
Because it is the truth. If you’re telling me that fighting lupi for 10min is easier than 30 secs you are wrong. Which makes zerker equal to any other set or even easier in terms of skill.
That’s how the game works. if tanking with PVT was possible then PVT would be the ez mode set, where you just stand there take hits and kill stuff even if it takes 1 hour but its not the case which makes berserker the best AND the easiest gear to play with.

You can, the aegis from a guard saves u from 1 kick , thats enough to burst down phase 1. Phase 2 carried by mesmer’s feedback , no need to dodge. Phase 3 autoatack and win.
Btw what you are referring to is a perfect kill which in and of itself requires excellent coordination + good rng to achieve maximum dps and smooth phase transition. You won’t get that by just walking in, stacking and auto attacking. It’s a pity this has to be explained, but I suppose not everyone has actually achieved this and so they make sweeping assumptions.
All other dungeons i do not press the dodge button at all.

If you are able to run past a mob that literally drops nothing worth killing it for, I think that’s enough incentive to skip.
My solution is to give mobs incentive to kill them in the ways of actual drops.
The solution of others is to just gate off things until they are killed so that people are forced to kill them whether they like it or not.
I am in support of giving people the freedom of choice.
And just so we don’t forget, here is what you said:

The problem here is clearly bad dungeon design. It stands to reason that when you design a dungeon, you logically design it so that players can fight some (if not most) of the enemies in it. Avoiding some patrols is an accepted strategy, as it has been since GW1. But skipping everything can’t be, and should not be intended design.
The cry here is for better design that gives meaning to fighting the mobs in the dungeons. Give them better loot (and better drop rates), and players will be encouraged to fight them, but not forced to. Add some gating to parts of the dungeon, so not everything will be trivialized by running past all the mobs.
Perhaps in your eyes it is bad game design, but not to everyone. I honestly think that time gating is bad game design. People already actively avoid time gated paths.

They will just make zerker less powerful so that the result is this: dungeons take longer to complete so that people who are speedrunning don’t make money as fast because that is considered farming and farming is ‘evil’ in this game because players with gold mean less real money purchases for the cash shop.
They have no interest in making other stat sets viable and never did.
Things will carry on as per usual.
Stability is exploit.
ingame lfg > ‘hi, noob looking for players to help me learn dungeon’ > get party > do dungeon.

The decision to ignore defensive stats and load up on offensive stats SHOULD mean you deal a lot of damage and die easily.
That is exactly what zerker gear does. You have low hp, no mitigation, and massive dps.The gear is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. It’s the content which isn’t providing the threat to your life.
In any other PvE game, once content becomes less threatening to your life… you begin swapping healers for dpsers.
I absolutely agree with this and the solution is to make new, better dungeons.
Will we see this happen? Doubtful.

I’ll be working up something for the “subclass CDI” whenever it comes out. Any idea on what the next one is so I can start studying?
I think we should discuss that in the CDI Process Evolution Phase 2 which will start on Wednesday 22nd. Among other things we need to chat about what topics to discuss in the next CDIs and how to go about choosing them. I would personally like to have a week long PVE CDI on Fractals next (Running in conjunction with a PvP and WvW CDI) but we should discuss it as a group first.
