I don’t know, I have the feeling all events will be available at the end. I think they’re only staggering them to build excitement for the final act and give people adequate time to complete the early acts without feeling rushed.

imo d/d is best and most fun for pve. I think it by far has the best farming since you have so many aoe attacks that come out fast… drakes breath especially is awesome for tagging since it hits 5 mobs each tick with 4 ticks and usually does enough damage to net the kill, and it’s fun just getting in the enemies face. Even before popping that though you can flame leap, fire ring and arcane blast and hit almost everything.

Well it was useful for some jump puzzles so I’ll miss that, but at least at my level of play I didn’t use gap jumping RTLs much. Although looking at these comments maybe I should have been. If this is a side effect of fixing its bugginess, I’m happy. Otherwise mildly disappointed.

Heh, now everyone is feeling the pain I did when I opened 350+ chests a month ago to get an endless mystery tonic (got it on the second to last chest miraculously). At least gems were more affordable then though…

Oh my god YES, thank you ANet! Finally a working down state, and buffs to d/d (my favored playstyle)! The cripple on earth ring, extra healing on cone of cold, and increased angle of fire grab/lightning touch (it’s always been pretty hard to land these) are just awesome, and go a long way towards making d/d more viable.

Selling far below the current listing can dissuade others from undercutting you, so if you still make a good profit at that price it can be worth it.

Uh Tindahbawx, you just made his point even better than he did. It costs WAY too much to craft vial of liquid flame vs some of the other gifts (like gift of color as Sons noted).
Not to mention incinerator is completely underwhelming compared to other legendaries. As an elementalist capable of throwing fire rings and meteor storms down at the drop of a hat, flaming footsteps is pretty bland. AND the fact that only having one incinerator makes you look kind of weird and lopsided. Anet really did not give all weapons/classes a fair shake when they designed legendaries.

Yeah this happened to me as well. Fortunately it’s not gamebreaking since you can steal rum to get the heart, but it sure takes a lot longer.

Hmm, I’m curious about this too. It would certainly add a lot more possibilities if we could actually control the radius/time spent casting. As it is its nearly impossible to get off without armor of earth or teleport.

Yes, I would really like this fixed. It appears to only be the sigils that require you to attack after weapon swap that don’t work with attunement swaps.

They removed this armor from pve, I believe it was called tribal armor. I know because I wanted it too. It is still available in pvp if you can grind up the insane amount of glory needed to get it, but I think even that is a bug (since it is called masquerade armor).

Engineers could probably use a fix too to be honest. However, two wrongs don’t make a right, and leaving elementalists in their current state is just not right either. As for the conjured weapon suggestion, I don’t think that would work for a variety of reasons:
1. The entire playstyle of elementalist should not rely on wasting a skill slot
2. If you want to stay in ranged most of the time (as is the case in wvw) and want to also play d/d, you’ll have to be in frost bow mode most of the time. This defeats the having the whole attunement mechanic, and the bow would have to last an ungodly amount of time.
3. Makes weapons less important? Oh you god a legendary? Have fun never seeing it while in frost bow mode!
Plus conjured weapons are absolutely atrocious right now. I agree they could use a buff, but they still should be primarily utility.

This is something which really needs to happen. All other classes get the option to switch from melee to range (with the game DESIGNED around this principle), while elementalists, unless they are using staff, are trapped within short to melee range. I love playing D/D elementalist, but then I kitten myself in many situations. Especially in wvw, there is so much ranged combat that using anything besides staff is suicide. The difference is that unlike every other class, this locks us out from playing melee. If they wanted to design us this way they should have made half the attunements ranged and half melee for EVERY weapon.

And ironically that is the one I want. I feel like they must have reduced the drop rate (or maybe even removed it) at some point because this is getting ridiculous.

Why is the drop rate on endless mystery tonics so ridiculously low? I’ve blown all my gold transferring to gems (about 12k gems) and opened 188 chests just hoping to get one, but haven’t gotten a single one. I’ve seen some tables on the wiki that peg the drop rate at around 1%, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was lower considering my sample.
It’s not like this item provides any gameplay advantage whatsoever. I can understand potentially game-breaking items like permanent black lion/banker having extremely low drop rates, but fun items like this should be accessible to those who really want them, without praying to the RNG gods for a miracle. It would make me incredibly happy to see the endless mystery tonics just being sold directly on the gem store rather than go through the pain of this lottery. Even if the tonics had a hefty sum like 20k gems I would much prefer a sure thing (especially considering I want one particular one out of the three varieties). But at the very least I would advocate increasing drop rate to a level where one can reliably get one if they really want to.
