If you can’t be bothered to sweep for a mesmer after you take an objective (because “it takes too long and wastes time”), then it’s your own fault if it flips. If the objective is important for your team, then you stay until it’s cleared.
Otherwise, if you are more concerned with the k-train and blobbing, do so.

I know it’s no fun for the big blobs, but it’s amusing to me.
Dunno man, I keep seeing more and more high ppt ticking in off-hours as more and more NA players venture over to EU. It used to be only one or two servers had “day” or “night” crews .. now it seems like at least 10 have them. The good news is at least they’re not all congested on one or two servers and appear to have followed the “norm” for EU and spread out.

Yes, exactly.
EU servers don’t have non-EU Prime population spikes like NA servers have non-NA Prime population spikes. They have some off-hours, but not like NA servers have. The NA population on NA servers getting smoothed out with OCX/SEA population would lead to lower scale WvW during NA prime than what EU servers would experience (and what higher tier NA servers are used to.)
Sure they do.
Some servers, at least in gold league and some in silver, have day crews that start hours before prime. And a few more have night crews. You can get prime-time blobs of 35+ during those times, depends on the server.

server population status MUST be updated week-on-week basis and by taking the 7-day moving average , not 30-day or any long duration. 7-day is sweet spot…
Far more frequently than that, it appears. FSP went from full to very high to full again within a three day period.

You’d think at some point, people would spend 15 minutes of training if that frustrated. It’s amazing what investing a bit of time does. Even a simple outline of what gear works better than others makes a significant difference.

Anyway, just pick any of the upper tier servers. Pretty much the same thing. Lots of different guilds to GvG. .
Most of the Russian guilds that were on Piken are now on fsp. I know SFR has ZaDrots, and one other, cannot remember the name, lol.

That isn’t balance at all. That is redistribution of PvE mobs in WvW. Mobs that die quick and easy. It would have little to no effect.

It takes some practise to get it right. Use the stairs as a “block” and aim at the top of the rampart. Stand below and throw up.
If you are not in the right spot it will not let you drop. It takes some experimenting. Once you get it though, you get it
They have said they’re fixing the LOS issue in next patch (hooray!), but what works in the meantime is dropping an AC mid-step on any structure. The LOS from outside does not let them see immediately next to the wall inside, so any AC placed within a structure inside, closest to a wall, is safe. Halfway up steps and you get the over the top of the wall LOS advantage. It takes some practise though getting it midstep.
And yeah, one person on a sup ac will not stop a blob. Five have a chance.
And use superior acs.
About four regular acs = 1 superior ac.
1 superior AC deals with about 5-8 enemy blob — if you have 20 blob at a paper gate, you should have at least 4 superior acs minimally (manned) defending.
Drop an ac by the shed in QL. That way you can cover the gate and the canyon below.
Have another person at the spot you’re at, and pair together to nuke them. If you’re raining down a hail of arrows on top of where that guy to the right is, that will leave the guy up top with the ac free to use it in the spot you are at.

So 80 blob arrives, and you have three people in your keep. You spot it in time, and your guys are talented enough to destroy the ACs that are built (over and over again) vs 80 and then jump back into the keep?

playing against servers like sfr and fsp, trust me we have. We just never had this issue while they are trying to do it though. And i have been playing this game since day 1 lol.

I then dont know how you build your siege, but it sounds like you guys are failing very hard in it.
We never had that issue before with our opponents that they could destroy it that easily.

It’s why I’m concerned about the Dev’s wording. He used the word “behind” .. which makes me wonder if the fix will be both ways (if so, hooray!) or just one-way — defensively. Meaning that the outside attacker AC placement will still work.
We actually saw the opposite. The stronger server with the 80-blob would drop an ac and use the FoV angle to wipe all inner siege, so they could face-mow the gate down without any resistance from the 6 defenders inside.
But using that requires more time and at the same time if they are just ramming we normally use something called an treb from inside… So it really depends on that part how capable your defenders are.
With how it was we would be easily able to defend against that.
If they are wiping all your siege INSIDE your keep before hitting the gate, then you have no treb dear to counter with.
Trust me, I know siege. And yes, we found other spots.
But initially they were wiping all of, say, inner garri (all along the inner rampart wall), the entire courtyard inside, from OUTSIDE west gate.
This so called ‘hack’ made the game more interesting for also the smaller and weaker servers.
