in the list of developers I have the least faith & trust in.
Congratulations ArenaNet!
I’m not sure I see breaking LoS causing an end to the auto-attacks as necessarily a bad thing.
Nope, I wouldn’t want to do that. I would much prefer to create a separate unique character for each unique profession. Thankfully, this is how the game is designed.
In what way would being able to multi-class stop that?
It wouldn’t. It would have no negative effects whatsoever.
Personally, as long as it’s well designed (e.g. coded not to let you change in combat, etc) I see no issue with it.
:edit:
“Remember that time I went from wizard to barbarian! Woah!” is something no one has probably ever heard.
Is it any less common than “Remember that time I logged off my wizard and logged on my barbarian! Woah!”?

It makes perfect sense. They want to fight other people, and that place is almost always guaranteed to have people. They stay, because you keep trying and failing for six hours.
I’m not sure what video you’re talking about, though.
This.
It’s an area that people go to within a pvp zone.
Did you really expect to not find pvpers waiting for you?
Someone changed their region by accident (either in game or in windows), or its a bug associated with IME and GW 2 (IME doesn’t work with gw 2), or you changed your language in options.
My operating locale is Japan (for reasons not related to this), but my system language is English and my region is US. So I have no issues so far. So that can’t be the problem.
What I don’t know is if you are an Asian user. Could your PC’s region be messing with GW 2?
FYI, you not experiencing the issue is not the same as there not being an issue.
I have no problem with optional filters.
I dislike them being forced on me though. I happen to be fully capable of hearing (or reading) terms which are filtered without freaking out.
Optional filters, enabled by default, is the way to go.
The only way to avoid it is to create custom animation for every snare, for every combination of stackable run buffs… for any imaginable combination of movement speed altering conditions / boons (e.g. being snared but also having a runspeed buff). And then create another set of custom animations for each race.
No idea what youre talking about.
Personally, my character seems to move as normally as any other video game portrays. Do you have a low end system?
It’s unlikely that the spec of his/her PC effects the speed of the running animation, nor how quick his character moves in relation to the game world (barring horrific stuttering / rubberbanding).
I’ve not specifically noticed it in this game, but I stopped noticing it years ago.
I think it’s unrealistic to expect a development team to create multiple races of different leg lengths and create custom animations for each speed of movement (normal, sprint, walking, stacked runspeed buffs, etc). The payoff just doesn’t match the effort required.
:edit:
Wait … so the appearance that you are running slower, even though you are not, is now classified as a game imbalance?
On topic, I never really noticed this issue myself, I guess I have just gotten used to it through the many years playing the various MMO’s.
No, characters with vastly different physical attributes (e.g. leg length) are forced to move the same speed for balance reasons.
Yes, but Anet’s philosophy for the game is that anyone can play the way they like and progress in levels doing what they like. That is true for hack ’n slashers, true for crafters, true for RPGers (personal story), true for PVPers (tho different kind of XP; glory), but false for exploring. Why should explorers be handicapped when every other type of player is justly rewarded with good XP for their efforts?
If I liked AFKing in safe areas, would I be equally entitled to profit and progress by doing it?
Can you do direct trades or just mail things?
While leveling I’m constantly mailing items which I looted to group mates if they can use them, and they do the same to me.
If direct trading is available too then I’m fine with it. But it’s the only method of transferring an item which I have used and if it’s the only one available it should not be limited, at the very least until better group looting is implemented.
If anyone needs help with #26 (“Find a vial of black dye and give it to a friend”) then I’ll happily take it off your hands.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, q, e, c, f
Thumb for C (often holds some kind of movement speed increase), Q & E for other utility slots.
Not high enough to use the elite slot yet but currently bound to F
