Yes last day of the month today so should be an update on this, unless they announce it with a game update, which looks to be happening tomorrow as nothing has been announced yet?
The compass points you in the direction of POI you have not discovered which includes new areas, also it helps to follow roads, and waypoints. However, surely if you were exploring as much as you said you would have found the portal, unless you were running in circles in the middle of the map.
This thread ends up a little confusing as people keep switching between NA and Europe problems.

For those asking about a confirmation e-mail in relation to a newsletter subscription, I want to mention that I asked our newsletter person about this, and he said that the note indicating that a confirmation mail would be sent was in error. If you signed up for the newsletter, you’re subscribed. If you were previously receiving our GW2 newsletters, you’re subscribed. No confirmation will be sent in relation to an existing or new newsletter subscription.
Crafting materials won’t be in the wallet, however they should place in Bandit crests, Geodes and other new currencies that are in the game.
You can get the storage expanders or convert them to the next level, and some of the back backs or quest rewards eat these items like Mawdrey
Probably not a proper bug, more of a side issue but the FOV slider, and new camera lets people see over and attack over walls and then attack on to walls easier in WVW.

Others got it by accident, some have some created a new character and done this on purpose.
It has been discussed in chat, and here, so mostly now the only people doing this now are taking advantage of the bug. To instantly get 10000 ach points is very wrong and like others have said should be removed.
No word from ArenaNet about any of the Bugs! Hopefully someone replies here on the forums. as we have only had one minor fix so far
Same here. Client Crash when trying to use it
Most the content the OP talked about is there via shortcuts or just going to a VISTA for example.
However some of it is silly, like no underwater content or removing bundles such as feeding the cows in the starter zone, moving the harvesting nodes further away etc.
What seems to confuse many new players is the crafting, and where to go between levels 10-20 with the personal story, which needs addressing.
However according to ANET they did a big survey of NA players who said what confused them the most, and the NPE is the result.
They should have created a heart event, a Vista and a swimming pool, a dodging tutorial and a crafting exercise which included gathering the materials within the first instance your characters are created in. That would have covered many of the things the NPE is meant to help with. This would only happen the first time, then you could enable/disable tutorial mode.
Some of the ideas sound good. A Garden would be good as well as the nodes.
Many players don’t even visit the personal instance, mostly because unless you spend money to add the additional nodes theres nothing much to visit for.
You could have an option to have your mini’s running around, they could let you move the buildings and have general customization options.
An option to customize your own house within the instance would be nice to but not in open world.
As someone else said, the game down scales on detecting inactive players, maybe this needs to be done faster, and the game needs to auto kick AFK Faster aswell.
So the game already has the means to control AFK players.
The event does not need to be easier. Completes fairly well when players work together properly.
Add more RAM at least up to 8GB and a non intergrated graphics card. The 750 Ti is a good budget card.
Well GW1 is on steam so who knows.
Of course GW2 has its own client so probably wouldn’t work that well with steam.

GW1 is on steam, so maybe see the game available on Steam one day, but I doubt there would be an actual steamos version.
Sales were pretty consistent across the whole of 2014, so thats good, probably been going up this quarter with the announcements.

Would it be possible to have a single World, one giant Mega Server?
I have no idea of the GW2 population at any given time, but EVE online, has the main server “Tranquility”, and the Chinese-based “Serenity”, with some test servers they used for new content or developer testing. And according to Wikipedia On May 5, 2013, Eve Online claimed a new record for the maximum number of simultaneous pilots online with 65,303.
Could GW2 Therefore be split into three worlds? Tyria America, Tyria Europe/Africa, and then Tyria China.
Or is the GW2 population loads higher than EVE’s and it would not be possible with one region based world, and lag would be insane.
As Shown by the many, many other posts someone listed this is clearly a pretty important topic to the community.
Its nice it received some attention from Arenanet, and I am sure that they could but something in to help, as many other games, even mini games have done so.
Hopefully this will be addressed or fixed!
What they should do is have a piece of armour brake in 1 death, and loose its effectiveness right away, or there could be a condition applied to you until your armour is fixed that makes you slower or do less damage, which gets worse the more damage you take before you go get repaired.
The penalty for getting downed multiple times in a row can actually be worse as you have less time to rally after each downing.
Agree with the free cost of repairs, but there should be a penalty for dying, especially several times in a row.

Games shouldn’t need to tell you everything! Part of the fun is figuring stuff out, not sure how the glowing fire circles were missed. It did take me a while to work out how to stop the fire smother things, but the fight was fine to solo, and even easier in a team. Rox needed to throw the fire faster, sometimes it took you too long to get there and it went out, or she threw it in the wrong place. However I guess that is random. The others were pretty useless in helping as well.
Agree they need to do something to explain season 1, I came back to playing right at the end of season 1, and Didn’t really find out much about Scarlett, and meeting Marjory and her friends was very strange, and not seeing the original Destiny’s edge. But to re-write the story is over the top.
I think I saw mention of a recap though in time for the expansion release.
Players who want to be told everything are why we got the NPE.
However a legendary progression tree would be nice. You can also have the compass tell you about ongoing events in that area, or just ask in the chat.
However you don’t need the game to tell you when to everything.
Maybe the best thing they can do, is scale the cost to suit the numbers of current players in the guild, with maybe an extra cost if the membership suddenly increases, like every 10 new members theres a small fee for the upkeep of the guild hall.
Have seen people trying to sell everything lately. Someone keeps trying to sell jumping puzzles. Which is not something you can guarantee the other person you’re selling it to is going to complete. So pretty sure thats not allowed!
Getting a 750 ti would be the best upgrade. Small graphics card, and cheap, and doesn’t need an extra power supply as can run just in the PCI slot, and should run the game at 1080.
There is already a stow/draw weapon command you can key bind, not sure how long it stays out but it does some of what you want?
You could use it for a while then decide to sell it….so I guess its not a bug, but like others said it should say account bound on use.
Its a mod that allows auto casting, and for example can hold down the right mouse button for you, which gives you an advantage, and could be classed as botting. so not allowed.
Some people in the comments said they got banned, but from what i saw, he was just spamming skill one, with the left mouse button, and said he had dodge on right click? I’m not too sure how it helps.
Getting knocked down all the time, even when inside the shield bubble when trying to light the ring of fire.
I think some people seem to believe Guild Wars 2 has been out a lot longer than it has. Considering the time it has been out we have had alot of small updates and some big patch’s. Yes we need a big expansion, but as I posted above 2 years is pretty normal for these games.
The first GW1 expansion was released after 2 years, and also WOW came out in 2004, and the first expansion was released in 2007, The second expansion set, Wrath of the Lich King, was released on November 13, 2008. The third expansion set, Cataclysm, was released on December 7, 2010. The fourth expansion set, Mists of Pandaria, was released on September 25, 2012.The fifth expansion set, Warlords of Draenor, was released on November 13, 2014, which works out at an expansion every two years roughly, with less content released in between.
So If GW2 releases an expansion this year I think it is pretty on track with content, and I think overall we should be happy with the amount of content added, as this is all new stuff that has to be created and worked on which takes time, so content every two weeks, and a feature patch twice a year is pretty good.
This of course is only true if there is a full expansion this year.

Next year, there needs to be an additional tool tip or hinting thing for colorblind people. The game is hard enough with getting the timings right, but made a lot harder when some of the colours look the same, and when they are moving down fast its hard to see where they came from to match them up with the keyboard numbers.
Maybe use very different colours next year, or separate similar colours more, as the 8 and 9 ones look almost the same to me, and the others can be confusing too.
Could also have the name of the colour there, which match to a name on the buttons. You would still have to get the timings right.
Hopefully I am not the only one been having trouble.
Maybe someone from Arenanet could reply again and give us an update.

Mounts shouldn’t and won’t be in the game with the current systems.
90% of the map can be reached easily by way points, and players who don’t use way points probably enjoy running now anyway.
SW has more WP’s now, and even the area’s without WP can be easily ran to, or using the skritt holes.
If some players had mounts, they are more likely to run through content and events, if mounts are just faster transportation, how many players are going to dismount to res someone for example?
I feel I am very un-lucky in the game, especially when I hear people getting the armour boxes in the SW events, and I have yet to get anything, also opening BLC after the patch got me no special items, and I was hoping for a ticket or node.
Yeah its definitely bugged, shouldn’t be refreshing that much, and it is very easy to misclick and join the wrong party when it moves, and the party you want to join vanishes.
There is also the lower level exotics, a high crafting character can make which uses alot of ectos and the new inscriptions they added.
